Everything was great, room had a bit of a musty smell.

Such a beautiful view...we did a pool day pass. Such a friendly staff. Get your parking validated because it adds up!!

Don't eat at the restaurant and then everything will be good. Restaurant suffers from extremely slow service, overpricing and sub par food that is not cooked properly. So bad we gave up on the kids eat free promotion. Service by the hotel staff is great and rooms are clean and good size. Beds are comfortable. Nice pool and hot tub with nice views of the golf course and ocean all around the hotel.

Best breakfast buffet I've ever had. Great service. Too expensive.

I am really disappointed with the stay here.
As a diamond member who has stayed with Hilton for more than 160 nights just in the COVID year 2020. I cannot understand how could the service here in this hotel is sooooo bad.

Of course the view is great, the room is okay and it s close to the golf course. But please consider the followings before booking.

1. The breakfast here is basically nothing. I understand it s a special time due to Covid, however even a Hampton inn or a home2suite would provide a grab and go bag for a little something. The coffee shop here only open after 7 to 11 am. If you want some water, you need to go to the vending machine which located at the garage area and also currently broken.

2. With almost no decent breakfast as a fact, there are no microwave in the hotel room as well. And the premium internet is even slower than my iPhone for sure.

3. I used my points to redeemed the hotel room, however I still got charged for a full amount on my credit card. I was going to talk with the stuff, but the stuff who can help with billing is only available after 7am...

4. When I arrived at the hotel, the stuff told me there are a better rooms available however they cannot upgrade for free for me but to charge $75 more per night. I thought as a loyal real diamond member, you could get upgraded because the room is available.

I am really disappointed not only to the hotel itself but to Hilton as well.
Maybe it s time to check Marriott.

Really enjoyed our stay. The staff was great, the room was large and clean. Look forward to coming back. Management should be proud of this facility and staff, thanks for the experience.

Depending on your room location you get ocean view but still is a nice view and the hotel is clean

Beautiful location and great amenities. We recommend riding the golf cart to dinner at Torrey pines coarse at the grill. Fun & easy!

It's very nice, but the staff are not very friendly. All the rest I liked.

Everything inside is really nice, and food is good. The only reason why i didn't give it 5stars is because i cant give a 4.5..... I would give it a 5 star if the hotel looked newer from the outside.

Me and a friend came here on short notice. About 2 hours before closing. It was either this or the Japanese tea garden. We decided to go for this and WE HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO REGRETS! The aquarium and the rainforest exhibits are definitely worth seeing. It was definitely worth the price for only walking around for only two hours, but you're gonna need a more time than that to truly enjoy the entire experience. I'll definitely be coming back here!

Front lady Laney very rude!! Older hotel on a great area and amazing views. It would be awesome if you have better trained people at the front desk. If your computer is failing and the keys don t work every time a guest is trying to get to their room in a 300.00 a night hotel the least you can do is try to be helpful.

The place was one of the worst places I ave ever stayed at bug's all over dirt cups silverware was dirty the pull out bed was dirty it was awful.drunks all over the Health department needs to go check this place out

Nice location with Pool, sit out area and the ocean view is awesome.

This hotel was absolutely beautiful. The staff went beyond to make sure I was comfortable and happy. I walk with a cane and they made sure my room was easily accessible. The view was outstanding!

Nice as a hotel, it has a small but big flaw, the internet is not scarce, but almost absent, and for a hotel, today it is a disservice and great inconvenience for a tourist who uses the internet for information, which road is the shorter, for restaurants etc. etc.....

Good and bad

If this rating was based on guest services they would get a 5. This hotel has some of the friendliest staff ive had the pleasure of knowing.
First off this hotel is NOT worth the price. The only updates it seems to have are bathroom stainless steel. The hotel itself and rooms look like the 80's and Contemporary country threw up.
When checking in we were told that all rooms have a view of the golf course, my " golf course view" consisted of me wedging myself into a corner and getting a little visual of the course. More like partial view. No Biggie I wasn't there to see a golf course.
The food was SERIOUSLY over priced. I would get an order of susage, ( 4 pieces) 2 scrambled eggs a chocolate milk and a coffee, total 38.00+ nothing spectacular, typical hotel food, nothing special.

Every piece of furniture was peeling paint as well as the walls and doors. ( Bad)

The charging port on the night stands were not working, there was a little bit of mold growth in the bathroom between the wall and ceiling, the metal ring that attaches to the shower from shower bar came off, and the little metal prongs on the soap rack was coming out. ( I did report all this)

The pool is very clean and nicely heated, the jacuzzi can fit about 5 people comfortably.
The hotel is in a nice location, close to everything, dining, attractions and beaches.

Overall it definitely was not even close to the best hotel I've been in. It needs some serious upgrades and improvements. And is extremely over priced for the midgrade amenites and food.

Keep the staff though. They are what made this hotel good.

This hotel has beautiful views, we got there just in time for the sunset.

Upscale hotel in the greeneries of Torrey Pines. They had bikes for rent which allowed us to visit the beach area. The pool also had complimentary drinks and coffee with the resort fee. Although we never made it out to the pool it was beautiful and we will on our next visit. Only complaint is that it was so secluded that we needed to drive over 10 miles for some decent food, but the seclusion did mean a lot of relaxation and quietness.

Great stay with nice views of the ocean and golf course. Breakfast buffet is very good.

Great location. All good. Very spotty housekeeping. Some days no soap and some no towels and some no tissues.

I was with some family that were staying at this location and OMG. It's not what a Hilton should be. Its run down, out of date and seems dirty. The family paid a lot of money to stay there and felt that they were being ripped off the whole time. I'll start with parking, $46 to valet and $36 to self park EACH NIGHT. guest of the guests must pay $6 an hour to park which start at 1 min. If you park even 1 min it will be a six dollar charge, at least the max they will charge is 37. The food is priced so high a cob salad was 20 dollars. One pina colada was marketed at 14 but comes to almost 19. For one drink. And last, the entire interior is from the 70s. Dont stay here its not worth your hard earned money.

Very elegant Hotel to stay in and host events as well. The view of the ocean and golf course is absolutely amazing. Great place to stay in San Diego!

This is a special place! The location is prime, the views breathtaking, and the team incredibly accommodating and pleasant. I was especially impressed with Neil at the front desk. Neil made my stay one to remember when he helped change my accommodations to my ever-changing plans. He was exceptionally courteous and personable. I highly recommend this location for a little get-away for yourself or with your loved ones.

It was a nice hotel, great breakfast, I wanted an indoor spa. Most extras cost $$

Internet is in the stone age, automatic 0 stars. Connection hardwired is 0.35 mb/s, and 3g cellular inside building, don't know which is worse, with WiFi being no faster and only reaches my balcony, not in room. They have ATT dsl, which is known for being terrible. Impossible to do business, Hilton please upgrade to cable or fiber optic or LTE. building and staff is nice but acceptable Internet is a must guys.

Great location. Has free internet-although online reviews say otherwise. Breakfast and parking are paid and fairly expensive. Building is badly designed.

This was a great place to say and the view of the Golf course over the Ocean was amazing. The grace of the gardens and the attention to detail was above all others, this is like going to a fine century old Villa in Europe. The safe were very helpful and their attention to detail was nice. Rooms were large and we'll maintained. Animals are allowed. The parking was a bit distant from the rooms and costly, but all San Diego is like this. Thanks for a great stay

The rooms are clean and the bathrooms are spacious.

Stayed for a conference and the hotel is beautiful, comfortable and clean. The hotel staff is amazingly accomadting and incredibly helpful.

The location was very nice being next to the ocean and the room was very nice and spacious.

This property is located in a great area but it's old and they are not keeping it running as well as they could. We were given keys to one room, but she wrote the wrong room # on the card. After a very long flight, waiting in lines etc, we were not in the mood to walk down a long hallway to the wrong g room dragging luggage. To make matters worse, the TV, lamp and telephone didnt work. A maintenance guy had to come in. The shower drips and the bathroom vent/fan is an all building model not individually controlled, so the bathroom after a shower can't be used to put on make up, when someone does "business" you cant turn on the fan...also the wifi is weak...I just cant justify the cost for a subpar experience. Funny enough, there are ads/signage around the hotel boasting that if you have any issues they have a "Make It Right" policy...which now we figure is because they have so many issues, they want guests to know they will make it right. Too bad it's just not right to begin with...save your money

If you think that this is a boring museum, then I hasten to please you! The name is misleading because the California Academy is the funniest and most lively place in San Diego, CA. Yes, yes! The building simply seethes with life - a rainforest, an aquarium, coral reefs to which you can dive with scuba diving and wildflowers on the roof of the building, how wonderful it is! The academy is located in the Golden Gate Park of San Francisco

Torrey Pines Hilton is one of the best hotels in California. The views from the 4th floor are beautiful- you can see the famous Torrey Pines golf course and the ocean, which makes for spectacular sunsets. The front desk staff are the friendliest, most helpful people. Theresa, Kaori, Mason, Taylor, and Justin all took care of me and made my stay extra special! The hotel is extremely clean, there are sanitizing stations set up and masks are required, so it really helps traveling during a pandemic feel more comfortable. I highly recommend staying here if you're traveling to San Diego!

This hotel has been a very friendly place to stay and the rooms are nice!

I stayed this hotel for business trip. Room was very clean and spacious. Morning coffee service was excellent. At the night, I wanted to swim in the pool but water was so cloudy that I coudn't. And price is very expensive. I don't think it's worth $335/night.

The rooms were fine, although a little dated with plaster coming off the ceiling. Room service was very expensive although the food was good. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. I did have an issue at checkout where the staff there could not figure out how to do the receipt- this was frustrating as this was a business trip where my travel partner and I would have been able to submit our expenses.

But the grounds are lovely and I would go there again.

Beautiful Hotel. Wonderful Staff. Very clean, well run and all things are thought of. We were given a wonderful room, with an amazing view, and they were very accommodating to us bringing out bikes into the hotel. We will return!

Not what you expect from a Hilton property. The rooms are just ok, with great views. The restaurant staff is weak and inexperienced. There is a mandatory 25.00 "resort fee" that gets you a draft beer every night and access to the crowded pool, but there is nothing "resort" about this property. The hotel is very isolated with nothing to do in walking distance except visit the hospital or golf course

Really expensive parking, but good services and amenities

Just because it's the Hilton doesn't mean they don't have bed bugs. Be sure to pull the sheets back and check. The staff blamed the ceiling for the issue. My last submission doesn't show for some reason.

Great service and venue for a professional business meeting

A nice hotel, I read some bad feedbacks before coming but despite being a bit old fashioned decorated, the rooms are very confortable, swimming pool is nice and they have a very nice golf course to play or walk around. Due to covid, order to go options only, I have not tried it. You can see the ocean from the room. Beach a bit far away but not an issue for me. In summary, a nice hotel with a very good price quality ratio.

Surprise! $33 parking overnight for hotel guests.
Rooms seem remodeled and I appreciated the covid-clean-seal on the door.
Slept with the sliding door open but the maid forgot to reset the alarm. Pretty antiquated that the alarm clock doesn t reset or that the staff don t ensure it s off. The parking fee and alarm clock lost a star for me.

I have stayed twice in this place and even though it was a nice place to stay at I will not be coming back again due to the fact that they lied to me about a watch a left behind. I noticed I left a watch the next morning we checked out and I called the hotel because the location of the watch suggested it was still in the hotel. when I called I spoke to a woman and she got my info name, phone number the hotel room number and description of the watch, mind you I gave color and everything..the lady said she would call me back. when she called me back she stated that they had the watch and someone from the lost and found department would contact me. the next day a man called me from the lost and found and said that they had the watch but someone from the shipping department will be calling me to get my card info and address to ship my item back to me...they never did!! so when I decide to call the hotel back and got transferred to lost and found they stated that they didn't have a watch of such description but they will do further invrstigation..ARE YOU KIDDING ME !!!!! HE COULDN'T FIND ANY INFORMATION THAT MATCHED MY NAME, ITEM HOTEL ROOM NOTHING! they are liars and someone from the staff stayed with the watch. this man from the lost and found told me that no one from the hotel staff new anything about a lost watch and there were no notes left behind about someone calling in for a watch..how can they lie like that if the GPS says otherwise..so because if this I won't stay there again. plus I'm not the only one who experienced this before..take a look at the other reviews!!!

Amazing location right on torrey pines, beautiful pool and grounds, clean room with clean sheets, towels and new water bottles every day. I would definitely reccomend staying here in beautiful la jolla!

very poor customer service, I approached them with an issue and was dismissed. the representative did not even care about what i had to say.

Front desk staff were very unfriendly. We are Hilton diamond members and we re very unsatisfied with the treatment from the front desk staff. They were short tempered, not accommodating and very rude in every interaction we had.

As a diamond member, I will not be recommending this Hilton to friends and family- if this is how they treat diamond members, how do they treat non- diamond members? Very disappointing.

Another outstanding stay at the Hilton makes me wonder why I stay anywhere else. Hospitality, service, unbelievable location make the Hilton at La Jolla Torrey Pines a one of a kind experience. Loved it!!

Nice rooms, beautiful view. A little difficult to navigate the hallways, but overall it's a nice hotel.

Nicely appointed if somewhat dated: lots of space but still carrying a lot of brass and pastel 80's era decor. Front desk staff were pleasant and helpful but never missed a chance to appear to help while adding another charge somehow. Room was nice and quiet, clean, and spacious.

Very beautiful hotel and views. Close to beaches and easy access to the highway.

This Hilton is beautiful! I was only there for a short time before donating at the hospital right next door, but I immediately knew I wanted to walk around the night I checked in. The room was great and I was met with wonderful service checking in, and even when I needed to get back food I forgot in the fridge! Great place

Accommodations, nice, clean the bed was comfortable. Unfortunate the jacuzzi only had one jet working. And being signed up for the rewards program was not user-friendly for me to use as well as the guest liaison tried it as well and was very unsuccessful she tried for almost 2 hours and so did the front desk everybody was unsuccessful be called IT support, spoke with a young lady. To be quite honest she was extremely rude not just with me but even with the liaison. I couldn't stress enough this individual needs to be coached on how to treat their guests with respect and to tone down the arrogance.

The resort is nice, especially if you are there for golfing. The trail also provides a ver scenic walk/run. The menu from the restaurant/ grill doesn't have many choices and the food from both the restaurant and room service lack in both quality and flavor. Be prepared to find other places for dinner.
