A great hotel for the budget conscious. Nice rooms and people.
Good mid town location if that is the NYC experience you are after or new to town.
Located near various subways and a nice part of Chelsea. Staff is nice and amenities are nice. Rooms are clean and well kept as is the hotel. Area is relatively quite at nighttime.
It's a great location. The staff is nice, so friendly. The price is a little high.
It was okay. Smaller room than expected, water pressure was kinda bad. Clean and quiet, though.
Room and location were suitable for my personal trip. The gym facilities were limited but passable.
Rooms were nice and tidy, cleaned well, close access to main streets, and service was great! Elevators were a bit crammed, but that's to be expected.
Central to attraction for both uptown and downtown.
Great hotel in Chelsea near mid-town. Close to the subway!
Very pleasant stay. Room was comfortable and clean. Cordial staff. Great location.
Friendly staff, reasonable price, clean but spare rooms (one chair!?!)
Pretty reasonable price/location/quality trade-off. Room wasn't huge but was well-appointed and clean. Had a twin queen room near the top floor, noise levels were low although you could hear people in the corridor pretty clearly. Reasonably functional wired and wireless network access which was free - better than many of the more up-market places I've visited in Manhattan. Daily room cleaning was consistently good.
Front desk staff were great, consistently helpful and welcoming. Bar staff less so; the one time I dropped in during Happy Hour, you could cut the apathy with a knife. Didn't try the breakfast.
Location is good for getting to most of Lower Manhattan. The street itself is pretty shabby though, especially outside normal shop hours when all the flower shops close up. Still, I never felt uncomfortable walking around the area. A reasonable range of places to eat within a few blocks; McDonalds is just around the corner if you're into that sort of thing.
The hotel's location is great, around 15 minutes walk to Time Square. There are many nice, fancy restaurants nearby and you can buy fresh food from supermarket (EATALY, which sells all kinds of foods from Italy ).
There is a very nice thing about the hotel is that it provides a large jar of fruit detox water in the main entrance area, which is really tasty.
Excellent hotel, unbeatable location to walk around Manhattan
We went there 3 times and it was always a great stay. But the price increase each time... so become expensive now... Room were clean and typical Hilton style.
Rooms were definitely very small. Staff were rude. It wasn t a bad stay for one night.
Solid as always at a Hilton garden inn. Loud street, so the ear plugs were appreciated, but not much they can do about that. Clean, prompt service, nice people, exactly what you expect.
Fairly quiet, clean, and close to subway lines. Not glamorous, not fancy, but a good place to sleep and shower. Only two elevators, which sometimes can lead to slow access to guest rooms. Mostly friendly staff (by New York standards).
Everything is nice and clean. Staff is polite. The room is a little on the small side, but this is my first time in NYC so it could be normal for the area. The water pressure could be better in my opinion and the rooms could be sound proofed better, but even with those two minimal complaints I would stay again.
Nice spot in a very convenient location for touring around Manhattan. The bed was a bit saggy and uncomfortable but the room was otherwise nice.
The hotel is tucked in a tight avenue in between other hotels. The view I had is overlooking other complex roof. The rooms are clean and amenities are standard. Given its location and ease of access to metro and other amenities, it's worth considering if you work close by.
Convenient location, the front desk lady service is very good, also give me the address of the parking lot, tell me how to go, the hardware facilities are complete, the bed is comfortable, the hardness is very good, to the Macy's department store, Times Square is near
Great hotel, excellent service, comfortable beds, great bath and there is the comfort of a coffee machine, a microwave and a small refrigerator in the room.
Acogglienza and courtesy, clean.
Empire State Bilding, Medison Squer Garden, Times Squer and many other destinations can be reached on foot.
Also close to the metro.
Really nice location, close to subways and in a very pretty area since the majority of the street is either hotels or florists. Room and bed were comfortable. Only negative is the wait for the elevators could be quite long in the mornings with everyone heading out and employees cleaning rooms. Front desk was helpful and courteous!
Right in the flower and plant distinct in mid-town, with a fair bit of construction going on, around. Is this typical?
Up on the 24th floor, I get to see Spider-Man pass by, occasionally. And there really ARE water towers atop many of the buildings, here. Marvel's got that detail right, for sure.
The water pressure surges in a cyclical fashion, but it remains high enough for comfortable showers. Breakfast buffet is typical, which means not so much for you Vegans, out there.
Service is friendly and professional. They responded pretty much immediately to the one problem reported with the room. Affordable rates and convenient location to subway. I'd definitely stay here, again.
Rooms are a little snug, like typical sizes of New York and California one bed rooms small. . . . However the staff was friendly. It lost a star when I had to go to either the 22nd or the 4th floor to get ice. . . . I mean you gotta understand. . . That's crazy AF. HOWEVER they wont get a lower rating because we can use a fridge and microwave..
Very clean hotel, very well located in Chelsea, very close to the heart of Manhattan and places
to visit. . superb view from the 22nd floor. .
Very good value for money.
I literally asked the front desk for the recipe for the fruit-infused drink they have in the lobby and they took it as a joke . Thx Claudia for the worst customer service
Great location and nice hotel but it's a little dated. Also, the basement level where the gym is located has an overwhelming smell of gas. They were also playing Christmas music in the gym and there was no way to turn it off, not the best place to get a workout in.
We took our kids here for their first trip to NYC. Location was extremely convenient, price was right and the staff was FANTASTIC. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Convenient transportation and convenient shopping Distance to Empire State Building Times Square Macy's Department Store!
Very well located close to everything, clean and good size rooms with fridge and microwave. At reception they speak Spanish and they helped us in everything. They keep your luggage free of charge. They only have to improve the soundproofing.
Renovation was going but the floor , I stayed on was great
Very nice place
Good location
Great price, size of room OK, great location! 3 blocks from Penn Station. No need to Uber - quick walk. Also close to Madison Square Garden. Bed sheets white as snow. Mattress comfortable, however I did not like the pillows! Staff was knowledgeable and very accommodating. Free hot apple cider in lobby.
Not bad. A bit pricey for the type of room but location was good. Room was clean.
Welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Nevertheless, there was an issue yesterday, mid-afternoon, 1/5/18, when no elevators were functioning. All guests were stranded for a couple hours in the lobby and bar area.
the room was very clean it was comfortable it was very quiet it was convenient they were able to accommodate additional blankets additional towels they did it in a prompt manner the front desk staff was really friendly really nice and downstairs is very clean checking in with simple checking out was easy and being able to have little contact also was nice but it is conveniently located with food places in Dallas within the surrounding area
great location and decent staff make this a good spot for a short stay.
Excellent location not so its cost more than 300 usd per night makes it expensive the best nyc bed I have ever slept in! Bad point there is no breakfast
Nice hotel in the Chelsea Manhattan area. Room is big comparing to others same area hotels. Staff is friendly. Very convenient location close to supermarkets , stores and time square.
Great staff and service, but for the price, the hotel is pretty dated. No secure elevator access or room safes either.
Rooms were cleaned, they had a microwave and refrigerator which was a plus for us. Staff was nice and helpful. I think it was very good
for the price.
Great staff rooms very clean great intown location.
Overall great deal.comfy beds, microwave in the room, decent size for New York and clean bathroom. Location is convenient with many food, shopping and trains.
Spent six nights there in December. Rooms are tired, street noise can be an issue if you are a light sleeper. Lobby is nicely renovated. I didn't have a chance to try the $18 breakfast -- there are too many other good dining options nearby to bother.
Great location really close to subways and bus stops a little noisy if possible try to a room on the higher floors to avoid nosiest
Only stayed one night, but the staff was very friendly. The room itself was small, but I still had enough room to move around.
Nice hotel but the area isn't great. At least it's relatively close to more happening areas.
Great hotel
Good base if you are in New York. Around the corner at 200 meters is a supermarket where you can buy fresh sandwiches, toppings, drinks.
We had not booked breakfast we found very expensive in the hotel.
Metro is also close by 100 meters from the hotel
Great hotel, great area, highly recommended, close to Subway also
Small hotel just enough out of the way to be reasonably priced. Good service and clean rooms, surprisingly quiet for NYC.
Nice, comfortable hotel in close proximity to my school!
Stayed 10 days at the Hilton Garden: Excellent base for things to do, good value, clean, friendly staff, ..... what more could you ask for !!
Beginning was okay but they had disrespectful desk people at check out
Very good hotel in a great part of the city. Very friendly staff and professional.
Decent rooms for its price, a tad small but conveniently located
Love the location. Clean. Friendly staff. Close enough to the action but still far enough away that it's not a madhouse. I stayed in a double most recently, which seem to be a slightly larger room than the king. The room size was actually quite generous for NYC.
Dirty, unchanged bedsheets, awful customer service. We found curly hair, dirty stain and smudges, and hair on our bedsheet and pillows, which clearly means they did not change the bedsheets since the previous guest. I called the front desk who was not at all apologetic. When I said I could not sleep on dirty sheets, she said she COULD call her boss. I then told her she would have to, and she made a long and loud sigh. They finally gave us a new room but acted like they were doing us a favor. Still no apologies. Funny how they have the "satisfaction guaranteed" sign posted all over the hotel. I definitely will not be staying at this hotel again.
clean, very good breakfast, functional room, great location for exploring New York
Large and comfortable beds. In the center of Manhattan and very well connected by subway with everywhere. Given the high prices in New York it has a good value for money. A but, the hall is small, with very old furniture and something dirty
Staff is very friendly and does a good job at the hotel. The 1 star taken off is only because the bed is sunken on one side. Mattress is way past due replacement.
Worst Hilton Garden Inn we ve ever stayed at. Lady at reception does not seems to care about anyone or anything and should not be working in a service position. Smelly room, super outdated with a pair of forgotten socks under the bed. Will never go back here. Super disappointed for what we paid. If you d like to stay at a Garden Inn stay at the one in the financial district, amazing staff and much more modern!
Spent 8 nights here in Room 508 (5th floor) with my wife and son November 2015.
Its in a great location with a subway about 100 metres away on 7th Ave. Its not too far to walk uptown to Macys/Times Square/Theatre district etc. Theres a great Bagel shop on 7th too which is worth checkin out.(Koffee Cake Corner W26th and 6th)
Hotel itself is fairly modern with good facilities (TV, Mini Fridge, Microwave, free WiFi)
Rooms are very quiet.
My only complaint is the slamming of doors by other guests.
They really need to put some door closer thingys on to stop them slammin shut.
Great location. Very attentive staff and pleasant as well. Rooms were always clean. Very little street noise even on low floors.
Alright place to stay. Rooms need some updating. Busy area.
Clean rooms. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again. Walking distance to time square
Booked via hotels tonight with a good rate. Was simple nothing fancy, the bathroom was a bit wierd there was no bath tub in the bathroom it was just a floor.
The elevator was very full, the room unclean, the service bad and the food so so
