I went there as a 5-day field trip in 5th grade. It was awesome. Best week of my entire life. It was also the first time I went on a ropes course, giant swing and a zip line! I also got a sick hoodie. The whole trip costed $205 dollars ($175 for the trip, $25 for the hoodie and $5 for the ice cream), but it's worth the money. And my educator was cool, but the cabin coach (Mr. Cody, who is awesome), was even cooler. We played games like Uno, Bullcrap (search bullcrap card game for more info), and more. One of the coolest parts was that I got to hang out with my friends. If I could give more than 5 stars for a review, I would. Definitely going there again some day.

The most amazing place ever. The food was great, 4/5. The adventure activities (zipline, ropes course, rock climbing, and the giant swing) were the best ever, 5/5 and the classes were very interesting and fun, 5/5. I learned more about the world than any week I would have had in school. Thanks North Bay!

Me and my daughter had a good time with Northbay. The counselor I had Ms. Alisa was a great help with the girls always had a bright attitude. I would definitely recommend Northbay because it gives the children a different outlook on life.

This is my first time at NorthBay Adventure Camp and the staff is on point with EVERTHING from teaching, feeding and most of all patients when it comes to dealing with over 300 kids at time. Can you say Organized.

I went in the spring 2016 so I feel like it would be better in summer. North bay was all in all good, but a few cons.
Pros:
Good food
Nice staff mostly
Learned
Horse shoe point was fun
Staff would play games with you and acted like a friend
North bay live was fun
Nice hikes
We got fed enough
Nice beach
Boat ride was fun
Awesome ice cream
The store wasn't expensive or the trip in general
They give dessert !!!!!
Cons:
Camp counselor had us up too late
They should let kids with doctor orders get needs faster because I had a doctor tell me to drink lots of fluids and I had to wait hours to fill up my cup durring a game
The lady at the fossil center wasn't too nice
We only got to play in the gym once maybe add in a bit more gym time
My friend had allergies and no paper signed for medication, so she had to go back outside and get her allergies worse. They should have let her stay in for a bit until we left the beach (where her allergies began)
This isn't really a con, but you should add in claw machines to the game room. It would bring in a lot more cash and it would be really fun!

Ohh I love this place :))

Ohh I love this place :))
I came to NorthBay Adventure camp for a week long Field Trip! Best week of my life :D
The staff was great and lemme just tell you the food they serve is amazing ;3
The actives and outdoor classrooms were so fun! Also, I liked the store at horseshoe point! A lot of nice things to buy. The cabins are nice and cozy and mine was Duneside 17 :)) (hehe my cabin won the challenge were the cabin was the most cleanest we got to go to horseshoe point and eat marshmallows at the camp fire with another cabin from the other side) The beach near by was beautiful and NorthBay live was the best!!
10/10 would go again :)

P.s tell Miss Lisa Emily Diaz from Thomas S. Stone said hello :)

The food wasn't that good dinner was good and that's really it. I went there with me school and the basketball court was good but there was kids trying to stick sticks up people's butts. All the drinks were watered down it wasn't worth 300+ dollars.

I've taken my 6th graders for 4 years now. I LOVE this camp and everything that they teach the students! The instructors and staff are phenomenal! The students learn so much about helping our planet and just being well round individuals. I wish that all 6th graders could have the NorthBay experience!

My family and I visited Northbay in July. We absolutely loved all of the outdoor activities they had available. We loved it so much that we went back in August. The second time was even more adventurous than the first. The kids enjoyed swimming, tubing, rock climbing and the bonfire at night where they got to make s mores.
Overall, our experience there was great. We will have to make it an annual trip. It s a great way to enjoy family time while maintaining a respectable distance from others as there were only a couple of families there at a time. The staff was super friendly and attentive to our needs. Can t wait to plan next years trip.

Haven't been here in 12 years back when I was 13 years old (I'm now 25 y/o) in middle school but probably one of the most amazing experiences in my life. Spending an entire week here during the school year and away from the lifestyle in Baltimore City was a newfound experience that many, if not, all kids from Baltimore should take sometime in their lifetime. Become connected with nature and be free to be adventurous away from the dilapidated city life.

Again, it has been ten years since that journey but I am happy it's still thriving and much of everything is still the same for fond memories.

North bay is great i was there quite recently the food is great the cabins are great sadly im just to emotional and left half way threw the second day sense lighting nearly struck the cafeteria building the place is wonderful if you get lucky with the weather and the people in your cabin the wasps were annoying but i did get to see several different animals especially net fishing even seeing a stick bug the first time in my life and 2 super cool looking Caterpillars its a great place you just gotta be a bit lucky and i was paired with terrible kids who fed the small fish to the big fish

Camp counselors stay lurking in your room and give you no space! They made us do work while there. At the end of the night you are forced to sit on the floor and and listen to life lessons. They take you to a place in nature and make you sit down and share your problems with the other kids. They make you talk about your "invasive species in your life". I find that weird. The counselors made us stay up too late just to talk about our issues. It is camp, not a therapy camp. They say " when you leave north bay , you will change." If you want tos end your kid to a therapy camp go here. The photographs are from not BCPS schools. BSPS isn't aloud to go on a swing or anything. The store wasn't a regular store at all because they treat you like children instead of costumers. They limit kids a and etc. You do get to play in gym once at the end, but the rest in just a therapy session.

I haven't been to North Bay since 2006 but, honestly this is a life changing event, resort, adventurous camp, and experience. I believe if a child is molded correctly they will enjoy North Bay; I've never been to an establishment that makes me remember 14 years ago. Unforgettable and Irreplaceable; I love you guys

I went to Northbay like three years ago for school trip, it was free of cost but I saw someone in the reviews say it was $300 for them, I thought it was really cool and definitely something I'd wanna do again.

When I went for my 6th grade outdoor ED. I was so amazed at how much they taught me and how many fun "end-of-day" activity we got to do. The only thing I found wrong was how long each class was, for me each class was around 2 hours.

First of all, the staff are very nice and fun. There are so many fun activities, including a GIGANTIC(50 ft?!) swing, rope adventure course, rock climbing, Gaga, kayaking, canoeing, zip-lining, and MUCH more. The food there varies. Sometimes, it's really good and plentiful, while other times it's not as good and plentiful. Plus, the cabins are clean roomy, and pretty luxurious. Finally, Northbay live is one of the best shows that I have ever seen. It's probably better than a Taylor Swift concert! Overall, I would give this camp 5 stars because it's still pretty awesome, even though they HARSHLY segregate the boys and girls for "security reasons".

I was thrilled with most of my experiecnce for a week at North Bay. I loved staying in Bohemia 15 and the beds were quite confortable! I did not really like the cleanliness of the showers though. The giant swing was amazing seeing the view from that high up was great. I loved all the activeites zipline, swing, ropes, kyaking and more.
The food was exceptional I did not really like the taco meat but most of the meals were ok. I really liked the gaga pit and the gym was pretty fun. I would have liked the ropes course more if we took the short route then the longer route if felt as it was too short. I also did not like how long the classes were, you had one morning class and one afternoon class. North Bay live was ok. I really liked the movie toobie and all the perspectives it was in. It was overall a ok experience i also felt as if art class was a bit boring as well as the tree lesson. I am glad i got to spend my week at north bay!

Ps:You can watch tooobie online

Great place, friendly Staff, good time, fun educational experiences and kids get to do and see things that they otherwise wouldn't get to do for a week. LOVED and LOVE the place. Was there last year 2017 going again this year 2018.

We were able to bring our boys (ages 13 and 8) to NorthBay s Family Camp. The entire family had a great time. There were a lot of outdoor activities to choose from. We were able to go swimming, zip-lining, tubing and ride a big swing. The fun didn t end there. Our boys had a ball with the indoor activities also. They played in the game room, did rock climbing, basketball and even got to pet and learn about a snake. There were a few other families there at the same time, however we had no problems being socially distant. All staff wore masks and were super helpful through our visit. We will be gong back before the end of the summer!!

I have not gone yet but I can't wait literally, I know I am going to have fun and one of my best friends going with me to. I have heard from other campers you have great food and a snack bar I am super excited to experience northbay

Went here last year. The food wasn't that great, but overall pretty good experience. I think that they should not separate the boys and girls as much as they do. It makes sense to separate the boys and girls cabins, but they shouldn't have to separate them during meals and evening activities.

Coming here as a middle schooler back in 2012, I liked he trip. The work and the classes got to be annoying but they were overall tolerable. But then throughout the week I noticed that the boys side of the dining hall was getting yelled at a lot, being told to be quiet or as they say it a hush fell over the crowd a lot more than the girls side. I then noticed that the girls got ice cream every day and rarely did anything lesson related or work related. While the boys did activities on composting the. Girls when canoeing, while the girls got on the zip line and the swing, the boys were doing lessons about spiders and the ecosystem. Overall there were some activities that were enjoyable but in my opinion, NorthBay is sexist against boys for whatever reason. Therefore, NorthBay is a great place to send your daughter as she will enjoy it more than a boy would.

This week has been a great experience I never came as a kid but as a parent / chaperone I enjoyed see the kids Interact and I enjoyed meeting the staff and other parents. I am glad I got to be here and was able to help out

I liked North Bay a lot. Their food was pretty good. The cabins were nice and clean. The bathrooms kind of needed a little more privacy, but it was okay. The activities were amazing and classes were adventurous and fun. And North Bay Live, such an amazing show and hype. I will definitely take my kids here when I get older.

I received a call about my child having a fever and was told that I need to come pick her up. I explained that I was told in the case of a child being sick that they would be given medicine. The nurse by the name of Rhonda explained to me that she did give my child medicine and what her fever went down. She then told me that she would have to stay away from everyone else and be confined in a room for the rest of the time there. I m upset because I left my child in the care of her school and not the employees there especially after hours. When I talked to my daughter she told me that she was in the room with an 8th grade boy. I did not understand this because I thought the boys and girls were kept separated. Rhonda had a nasty attitude and my child told me that she was talking about me saying that s what she gets for being nice. This was very unprofessional to me and I am very disappointed.

My review is as a parent. I have a daughter working there on work crew. I think this is a wonderful experience however I also feel there should be better communication. My daughter has been sick for over a week. Because of the cell phone policy I have been unable to check in on her. I have left voicemails with the health center and they have gone unanswered.
