Kids who grow up in the Poconos take it for granted that our field trips were often to this magical farm where time stands still. I recently visited for Spring Frolic and was delighted to see that honestly nothing has changed.

Went here as a chaperone on a class trip. It is beautiful here and the people are so friendly and they explain the way of living in a way that makes it very interesting for children and so much fun.

Very nice place to take a step back in time. Staff was very nice and informative. Great place to let your kids realize how easy they really have it in modern times. My daughter already wants to become a volunteer. Thanks for keeping things like this alive and well.

The people on the grounds really stay in character and make it feel like long ago. Very informative about subjects such as making clothing, food, and how it was to live here. There is a small gift shop here with many things for children, and some really cool finds for the grown ups. Prices are very reasonable. They explain almost everything you want to know about the time period. Great place to spend a few hours in the summer. There isn't any food or picnic areas. Well worth the trip.

The people who run this could be nicer. Btw don't chew gum (even adults) and god forbid you check your cell phone to see what time it is. I understand it's supposed to be educational but being nice is free.

As a place to take young children to spend a day, there's really very little competition in the area. The baby animals and Halloween days were the highlights when my kids were younger. There is an annual craft festival there that is nice to visit. Lots of history and knowledgeable folks to talk to. If you go, be sure to get a loaf of their home-baked breads, simply delicious!

Just went to the spooky nights on the farm. It was awesome! It was a real murder mystery adventure! The storytelling and improv acting were excellent. They made you feel like you were back in time and solving the crime. The staff was super nice and glad they suggested to bring a flashlight. It was chilly so layer up although some parts are enclosed and cozy. All staff wore authentic era wardrobe and kept on point with characters. I will be coming back next year! A wonderful establishment with wonderful people running it.

Great historic site. Knowledgable staff. Employees role play as if they were in the 1800s. Employees expect visiting children to act as if they were in the 1800s as well. Sit quitetly, no playing or loud talking is tolerated. If you have kids with personality or that are not sedated with ritalin or some other drug then the venue might be a poor choice for you and your family. Unless your goal is for them to be treated like children from the 1800s under the tutelage of a ovetatrict nanny I do not recommend bring children under 12. It was not a welcoming enviornment for children. They do have handicap parking close to venue which is a plus.

What a fabulous day! The staff couldn t have been nicer. They were very knowledgeable and thorough. The tour consists of a general introduction to the history of the museum and is followed by up to 4 guided tours through the different buildings on the property (timed so that you can attend them one after another if you wish), as well as a self guided tour through the grounds, where you can see livestock, outbuildings, a covered bridge, and a nature trail through a wooded area. The introduction is given in the third person, and the guided building tours are all given in the first person (where the interpreters play historical characters). The staff all did an exceptional job and were extremely kind and polite. We were happy to support them, and we hope this review will encourage others to visit. Please note that you have to consume food and drink in a designated area in order to protect the livestock and the historical buildings and artifacts, but the food pavilion is nicely shaded with plenty of tables and chairs. If you are looking for an enjoyable activity for a partial day, we strongly encourage you to visit Quiet Valley Living Historical Farm. It s definitely worth it!!

Beautiful historic farm that offers tours and the ability to walk around and view at your own pace. It is well kept and you can see the whole thing in about two hours. We had a great time! It's a great, low-key family adventure!

We just left this place since Google said it was open and spoke with someone, its closed to general public until June to Labor Day and will be open for a Christmas event 2 weekends in December. It looks like it would be a fun place. I have made an edit in hours.
