Hilton Garden Inn New York Chelsea Review

Our room was not supposed to be ready until 3pm. However, they held our bags for us, and much to my surprise I got a call at 11:30 am informing me our room was ready. We also checked in with people who booked separately than us and the hotel staff put us in side by side rooms which was another unexpected delight. The room was clean and cold when we got in, providing a relief from the heat outside. The location provides easy access to public transportation which has some amazing views of some great NY sights such as the Empire State building' Freedom One and The Flat Iron while on the way to the subway. I would definitely recommed this hotel to our friends and family for their visits to NYC.

Two blocks from the Madison Square garden and about ten from Broadway and fifteen times the mythical square.
The employees are very friendly always with a smile and the best wave to understand you in the language you speak and above all willing to solve your problems or doubts about the city and its attractions.
It has Wi fi free of charge for up to three simultaneous devices per room.
It has a Gym open 24 hours a day and a bar with drinks and some meals.
Although the rooms are not very large they do not stop being comfortable. They have a large LED TV, alarm clock, microwave (in the lobby they sell at a good price frozen food to buy and cook in the microwave, frigobar, air conditioning, coffee capsules coffee machine (no filter coffee)
In short, a good place that has everything you need for a stay in New York. Both for business and family where, the city offers so much to make one what it does least is to be inside the hotel

Very nice, clean hotel with great service and nice sized rooms for a Manhattan venue. Convenient location. No view but who cares?

Decent hotel, I like it cos it's close to Penn station for easy access to EWR, rooms have a fridge to stash beer in and it's usually quiet enough. Rooms are tidy & reasonably spacious for Manhattan.

The hotel is in a good location. It was conveniently located to the subway and restaurants. But we will not be staying there again due to getting unusual rashes and bite marks all over us (probably due to bed bugs), extremely thin walls that allowed us to listen to everyone around us, and the overall lack of cleanliness. We asked for our sheets to be changed and our room to be cleaned and the sheets were never changed.
There are many hotel options in that area. Read reviews carefully!

Pretty stunned at the value. Rooms are generally under $150/night and the location is great. Ample markets nearby for the budget conscious and rooms are quite spacious. Overall, best deal I've found in downtown Manhattan.

Awesome staff! Good location, decent rooms, don't expect a view (even with 'city view' rooms). Nice breakfast with awesome service and staff there. Really can't say enough good words on the team the Hilton Garden Inn. We stayed for a week, had a good time and the hospitality of the people there definitely contributed to that.

Staff is excellent at this location! Lisa, Odie, Nicole... all very helpful and will go out of there way to make your experience great. Had an early check in and my bags were placed in my room when I got in from being out all day. So nice!
Rooms are clean and have everything you need for your NYC stay. Great breakfast to start your day, too. Excellent location as well. Have to go to Chelsea market! Will definitely come back again!

Great location as needed to be in 27th to 37th area. Comfortable bed and very quiet room for NYC. Would stay again.

Customer service is a culture over to Hilton. I mean, they are courteous and polite to everyone they encounter, guess or not. The GM over here is amazing, he has a great customer service, whether he's under pressure or not. He truly deserves his position. I told him that when I grow up, I want to be like him .

Solid hotel that s in a great location. It looks like they re in the process of renovating. So Due to the great location and the potential update this could be a five-star hotel that s prices very reasonably. But you can t go wrong staying there

Location is great for my business travel. Bed was saggy where people have slept and a bit uncomfortable and the cleaning crew turned the A/C to 60 every day after they were in. Unsure if I'd return

Having stayed in a few hotels in Chelsea, this location was definitely the best value for the rate. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The room was extremely clean and updated. The bed was nice and comfy and room itself was nice and spacious (considering the fact that it's in Chelsea and a lower-cost room). I'd recommend this to anyone wanting to feel safe and attended to while visiting New York.

I had a great time: clean room, friendly and welcoming staff, free hot drinks, and believe me it makes the difference in winter in New York. The location is convenient as it is close to two metro lines and in a central position a stone's throw from the Empire State building. Connsigliatissimo

Typical of this class of hotel, the rooms were well maintained and the service was good. On property amenities were limited, but considering the location, there isn't really an issue finding anything you need within a few blocks.

I stay here often on trips to New York. The rooms are incredibly clean and spacious, and the reception staff is courteous. My only complaint is that the windows seem to do nothing to block out the city noise, and even on the eleventh floor (there are twenty or so floors in total), the horns from the street below are audible at both late and early hours.

Reserved king size bed but received queen, in compensation they gave us free breakfast. Breakfast buffet was not good but staff was very polite. Our valet car ended up getting jumped and drove sluggish on the way back. It was serviced before so this should not have happened. Elevator took forever.

Bed is not very comfortable, pillows the same. TV is ok, but lack of the guide makes it confusing to find channels. Internet is fast. Water goes from not hot to scalding with a small turn. AC thermostat is the worst. Relys on a sensor to tell when people walk past to turn on, it doesn't matter what you set the temperature to, it won't get there unless something moves past the sensor. It is below 30 at night, and the room gets freezing cold.

Great hotel, close to Times Square and some other tourist attractions. Had a room facing the street and didn't really hear any of the city, just one car horn during the whole stay. Tons of food options near by, even a vegan one.

Just what you would expect: clean, efficient, characterless. My friend checked-in online, and was unable to get a high-up room without paying a supplement. I checked-in in person, and was given a room on the 21st floor, which had a much better view and less noise from the street.

The room was a little small and not as clean as I would have liked it but I would still recommend it.

Nice location, great breakfast. The front desk staff NEVER welcomes me back, despite numerous stays, sometimes just weeks apart. But Tammy at breakfast always does.

It was my girlfriend's birthday and the asst manager was fantastic in helping make her arrival special. The room was great, check out is at noon, and is well-located for a lot of fun things. Also, the room fridge is the perfect size to keep all your Polar Seasonals nice and frosty while you're out enjoying The Big Apple .

Bathroom- has bathtub and good show pressure, the water gets extremely hot
Tv- has basic cable channels
Microwave-clean
Coffee maker- might want to run water through it a few times seems like mine hasn't been cleaned in a while
Heat- can be adjusted which is great.

The best is waking to the smell of flowers and vegetation that is put out on the street everyday. In the middle of trees, flowers, shrubs, a live market.

Smallish room, but great price, great location, great service. The room was nicely appointed and clean. Can't ask for much else.

I and my family have been staying since July 14 and we are very satisfied with the hospitality, cleanliness and organization of the rooms and with the care that the maid, Dona Maria Orellana, has given us.
Another important reason is that we are close to subway stations that facilitate travel to the sights, A empire states and others can be walking, because they are very close.
We just have to praise and thank.

I would not recommend a stay here! For my 4 night stay 3 security deposits were taken out of my account. They decided to make 3 different reservations (under the same name& same room mind you) so they can continuously charge the security deposit. I m totally disgusted!They try to say they didn t but my bank statements don t lie! The front desk is filled with imbeciles who are not only rude but lack the slightest customer service needed for the job. I will NOT be staying here again.

Locations is great. The valet guy was a big aggressive when I pulled up to drop my friends off. Rooms are a decent size for Manhatten.

We were super treated well by all the hotel staff. They helped us locate subways, supermarkets, and commercial spots where we had doubts. The room is nice and nice. Great hotel to stay as it is close to the subway and with it to all the connections and tourist attractions. Well worth it.

Walking distance to the times square ... Rooms are not very small but okay in terms of space.. prefer to take the upper storey rooms facing the empire state building..
