Rooms were EXTREMELY SMALL. NO place to put luggage We were WALKING over luggage the entire stay. Bedding was old and not good quality. Only 2 lifts for the entire hotel - most of the time cleaning staff were using it with their trolley's.

They would not accept my Hilton honors card since I booked through American Express. Ironically when I logged onto their internet they started with a screen showing Hilton and American Express, don't figure!!!

It is small but cute. Super clean with great people from the front desk to the ladies cleaning the rooms. Plus it is on the only street in NY that smells great since they sell plants and flowers and have them on display on the sidewalks. Did not recognize the street at night without them! A block from one metro station.

This location was very convenient to the subway and had some places within a few blocks to grab a quick breakfast, lunch or snack (+McDonald's on the corner). My room was good sized and not too cramped. The elevators were really slow, though. There was a lot of street noise, even though I was on a higher floor. Staff was very friendly and always greets you on the way in. I do recommend this hotel, but maybe not if you're sensitive to outside noise.

Service great, but the room wasn't in the best condition when I checked in. There are pubic hairs in the bottom of bathtub, and urine stains on my toilet seat.

Also had to wait 30 minutes for an elevator because too many people were using them, and staff were monopolizing the only 2 elevators.

Great hotel! Room good size, had fridge and microwave, shower good! Nearby metro stations. I made the baby's trousseau, and received several of my packages at no cost! It has a buybuybaby two blocks away, wholle foods and sun sweet coming! Super recommend it!

During the pandemic, this was one of my better stays as well as one of the cheapest. The rooms were actually very clean and a little bit more spacious than other hotels I stayed at. The AC worked really well and the blanket was a bit thicker, which I really enjoy with a strong AC system.

I'm a Diamond Hilton member, so I got a top floor room which had a decent view of the tops of other buildings.

My only complaint is that the surrounding area wasn't too good. I frequently smelled and saw feces near construction sites or on the subway steps.

Not a bad hotel at all. It was outdated and could use a much needed renovation. However, it was decent. The room was clean. The shower was hot. It was what we needed for this trip. We were always gone and out ALL day so we only needed a clean place to shower and lay our head at night. This hotel was sufficient. And what we paid for a NYC hotel we definitely received our monies worth. It was a good deal. Staff was friendly enough. The hotel is in a great location...we were close to everything we needed. Plenty to do within walking distance and if anything we could just call a Juno. Although Im sure we could find a more updated hotel I honestly would stay here again.

There are two HGI's in the area, but this is not the better of the two. There property is in need of a refresh from the older furnishings and equipment. The HVAC window units are really noisy and inconsistent in temperature. They do have a nice spread for breakfast though. Fitness center is in the basement and has some treadmills and basic cardio/dumbbell gear. I've found the service is hit or miss too. This time my bathroom didn't have any towels in it.

PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING THIS HOTEL.!!!!

I stayed at this hotel for just 2 nights. So first off when I arrived and checked in they gave me the wrong room and when I went down to talk to the lady at the front desk she told me they were sold out of what I paid for l, so I talk to the manager and she fixed for me. Then after that happened , me and my boyfriend left for pretty much the whole night. Mind you I check in at 230pm and left the hotel by 4 to see the city and stuff. We were outside for 6 hours shopping and what not. We come back to the hotel around 1030 11, when we were walking in from out side. There security guard had just arrived to work and with in 10 minutes of being back and laying in bed to GO TO SLEEP.. I get a phone call from the front desk. When I answered the phone I get accused of smoking in my room. Well first off I dont smoke, secondly my boyfriend does but he was well aware of smoking outside(which he did since got there). So she tells me I'm smoking in my room, I tell her I'm not and she continues to tell me that I am then hung up on me. So I walk down stairs and asked her about it and she says I was smoking and I told he again I wasn't and then she still Continues to tell me I was and was going to charge me for a smoking fee. I wanted to talk to the manager and she wasnt there. I also asked her why she didnt knoxk on the door and ask she said becuase I had a sign on do not disturb.
Ok that's fine but if I'm "smoking" in the room why didnt u knock. Bexuase I would have gladly let her In and showed them.. but anyways, So the next morning I go down and talk to her, explain what happened. She tells me that the lady made a mistake and she was sorry they are sorry for it happening and they offered me free breakfast (which was disappointing and disgusting that would have been 19 dollars, I'f they didnt get it to me for free). Then later that night she was working again and couldn't apologize to me but she can write it in a note and have her manager apologize for you. And Then I go to check out and leave I get in my car (but to mention I had a cup of change in my car when I let them take it, which was full of change for about 7 dollars or so.) When I go to leave and driving half way on the other side of the city I needed some change for a parking spot and I realized that the valet guy had stolen all my change. So pretty much this is a horrible hotel and there valet steals from customers. Didn't think I couldn't trust the people who are supposed to be taking car of my car. But then again why should I trust anyone. But this is not the beat hotel to pick. So if you dont have to then dont.

5*s! Originally 4, but edited because they dealt with a parking issue for me with such graceful customer service! - I was in n NYC for work. Great location for the office, nice staff, clean room. Only complaint was the lumpy bed.

The room was clean and the staff was nice. They definitely seem to take covid seriously and no point did I get a hint that I should worry about having to clean anything or that any cleansing steps were skipped.

There made my experience feel as close to the original normal as possible & the price I got was FANTASTIC!!

I meant to book on 28th street and made the mistake of bookong in times square. Yikes! The hotel in times square was able to cancel my reservation even though I cancelled too late in the day, and 28th street had one last room available! I got to make it to the office the next day without an unnecesarily long taxi ride. Thank you!!!

The hotel has a great location. To my surprise, a very skilled and caring staff came out of their way to help, help, solve problems .... clean and nice and, as mentioned above, a wonderful location on a street with mostly flower shops.

Great experience, and price! We were upgraded to a higher floor at no extra charge. Room had a microwave and fridge, which was great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would be nice if they had free breakfast at this one and room safes, but we dd just fine without both of those for our 3 day stay. Location is great for subway travel.

We stayed here for springbreak. On the 24th floor. Room was not very spacious. View was good for where we were. We needed to ask for extra towels and couldn't find the remote; we found it under the refrigerator on the last day when leaving. The reason why I gave three stars... parking is NOT required in the parking garage. Its $55.00 to park without validation from the hotel. $45.00 with validation. The hotel has a deal with the garage so they say you can not park on the street. Here is the key, park on the street after 7pm. You'll have to move your car by 530am into the garage. If you move to the garage by 7am and out by 7pm, you'll only pay 17.50 for parking. My family and I were out all day so by time we got back it was late with availability to park on the street.
Also, with the breakfast not being available, you'd think they would offer water for free. Nope, $3.00 per bottled water. Shower pressure in our room was horrible but we made it work. It is clean.

This hotel is a great value for temporary working and living in Manhattan. It's super-clean and well managed with friendly staff and excellent amenities. For this city, the generous size of the room is surprising. TV service is good, not to mention the large desk work area. Maybe best of all is the combination of a microwave, fridge, and coffee maker (plus unlimited free coffee). With so many nearby restaurants and take-out opportunities, eating is a lot like eating at home. The hotel is on a commercial block, but it's walkable to public transportation and residential blocks. Everything you need, even grocery stores, is within footsteps.

The hotel has some interesting advantages: good location, free WiFi available in the room or tea and coffee available in the room and in the lobby of the hotel. The staff is available and very welcoming. We had a room for 4; do not worry about space in the bedroom or the bathroom. Insulation at the window a little fair ... The only real worry of the stay is the radiator! But how can we still have radiators as noisy in a hotel like this one!

The staff here made my entire stay even better than it already was. Really, they could not have been more welcoming. The rooms were clean and comfortable but otherwise standard. I will stay here again.

This hotel comes highly recommended from me. Every single member of staff you come across is extremely warm and welcoming. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets are available in the lobby kitchen. Overall, I had a wonderful time at this hotel. I will certainly return to this hotel and will recommend it to my friends and family.

The staff was the only good thing about my stay. Everyday for 4 nights, I noticed something gross about the room. The gum on the curtain, the water damage on the ceiling, the gross towels and the spot under my sheets that featured a rust colored stain. I was offered a different room... there was actual food splattered on the ceiling. I asked for my money back and after calling and telling my story over and over again, they gave me a single day back. It ruined the staycation I planned with my family. I would not stay here. The staff stated that its harder to maintain the building since the pandemic so maybe try after it's over. Did I mention that my toilet seat didn't even match the actual toilet...they just threw one on. Good luck friends.

The Hilton Garden Inn offers decent rooms at low rates. The rooms are small and nothing special but their location and lower cost than most give them an edge. Beds are far too soft and result in poor nights' sleep and crooks in one's neck. Amenities are average. Service is friendly and accommodating. Cabs can be hard to come by mid-block but the doorman goes out of his way to snag one from either avenue when needed.

Loud, but it's nyc so what do you expect. Bring earplugs. Otherwise, room was clean, housekeeping was good, no surprises. One area for improvement is the bar hours. They are closed on Saturday and Sunday. Would be nice to be open and be able to have a drink without leaving the hotel.

A lovely hotel located in a fantastic location. Only a block away from the 1 train and two blocks from Broadway with access to the NQR trains.

The rooms are clean, some of the sheets show their use but it's not bad. If you can get a room on the top floors facing North you'll be in for a treat.

Very well located, easy mobility, very good concession to the center. Good service and clean rooms. Around it we can go to dinner, lunch and shopping without taking transport. The very friendly receptionists helped us solve all our doubts.
