We stayed 3 nights while moving our son into GT a week ago. Granted, we were traveling in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The good:
> We had a clean room
> Front desk staff were helpful
The bad:
> Extreme lack of cleaning in the parking area. Garbage was piled up for days and was not emptied. Shattered window glass from car vandalisim was not cleaned up. Perhaps this was due to lack of staffs?
> Morning breakfast was a joke even considering we are in the middle of pandemic.

By far the absolute WORST hotel stay ever. This weekend was planned as a fun birthday reward for the kids in my family since they are all so close... NEGATIVE. The cleanliness of the hotel, and guest rooms were great, when things were needed they were provided in a timely manner. There were 2 suites reserved for the weekend, upon check-in we were told that we would have to pay a $50 incidental fee per night, per room, in addition to a $30 per day parking fee. When the reservations were made we were informed of a $30 parking fee for our stay, we were NEVER informed of a $50 incidental fee per night, per room. We contacted Hilton to get clarity because we were not quoted these prices. The check in agent in turn got rude with myself, the Hilton agent that assisted us, and withy other party each time she saw us there was a rude remark stating that "let me let you handle them since they call corporate" to her co-worker. I understand that fees pop up from time to time but being harassed basically by the agent simply because there was a question regarding the price was completely unnecessary. Then in addition to paying the additional fees in cash we were then informed that we would have to wait to receive our refunds because "they don't give cash back at all no matter how you pay". I'm sure there is someone in management that would be interested in knowing how their agents behave with their guests. My kids and my weekend that had been planned for weeks was completely ruined! I'm an adult and I can accept changes but it's a totally different story when my kids have to be disappointed when they were looking forward to their reward.

I took a star away for the parking situation. It is not clearly written anywhere that Valet parking $33 a day is the really the only way to park. Arriving at the hotel late at night I used digital check in but since I was unclear on the parking I went to the front desk. I was greeted with 'hey boo'... i asked about how the parking works who do i pay, she asked me did I not pay valet but valet told me I pay the front desk. I understand they are a third party contractor but should at least be on the same page. There is also a $5 a day hotel fee FOR WHAT? Rooms were nice with balconies. Toilet and shower are in the same room, making it difficult to shut the bathroom door, and sink was outside the bathroom. Breakfast was horrible for a Hilton property, I ended up throwing it away. location was why I picked this property it was close by everything I was going to, but I probably will pick somewhere else where I'm greeted by my name or even acknowledge that I'm a Diamond member

Cheap

We have always come here for Georgia Tech games, but this trip was terrible. There was a weed party on our floor on a Friday night, we found a homeless man in the stairwell on the 8th floor who had been living there, we had 1 roll of toilet paper, and 1 set of towels. We called for more, but it took several tries to get more. The service has dropped significantly. Also, the pool is green. Why?? This is not a fluke. Stay away for now. Scary.

Excellent stay. All front desk staff were wonderful and welcoming. Made me feel like I was at home. Great proximity to Midtown offices and food choices. Hotel has a nightly Happy Hour from 5:30-7:30 with complimentary wine and beer straight from the kegerator--nice touch!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Homewood Suites cause our room was huge compared to our hotels here in Mississippi it was kind of like an apartment here in Mississippi and the staff were friendly and courteous as well and here are a few pictures that I took of the hotel!!!!!

Melissa the manager at this hotel is horrible. She has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I was forced to move my stay to her hotel where I didn't have toilet paper, towels, or a working TV. This hotel is horrible and her customer service is even worse. Do not stay here.

My first visit about 2 years ago was pretty good and up until I checked in this time around the customer service was excrement. But this time around, when I checked my parents into rooms that I reserved for them, my experience was totally disappointing. I travel for work and frequent Hilton properties but this is the first time a front desk clerk was quite comfortable without an effort being made, to tell me 'no'. Albert had no problem asking me to wait to check in and then proceeded to tell me 'no' for several requests I made as a loyal diamond member. Next time I'll book the Garden Inn next door.

Everything was good excepting the confusion when they charged me for parking knowing for a fact I did not use it. Although the charges were eventually reversed, hotel authorities need to stay informed who uses their parking and who doesn t.

Decent sized room, however it was left filthy. Trash was thrown everywhere and the bed and all the towls had been used and were dirty (the staff didn't clean it for our entire stay). When the manager tried to appologise by getting us a discount at a restaurant and got the coupons to the staff, the staff refused to give them to us. There were unexpected parking fees (valet-only when the website said free), that was atleast taken care of. The staff was unfriendly and rude. We did a better job of picking up the place after we left than their own staff did.

The hotel was nice. As with any Homewood Suites, there is a kitchen with all the amenities which is nice because you could truly cook especially with the Publix a block away. Rooms are clean. Wi-Fi is a hit or miss however. If you plan on using Uber and the MARTA, this hotel is on a slope so a bit tiring to trek up the hill and over the 2 blocks to the Midtown station. You have that incline as well going basically anywhere on foot.

Stayed here for DragonCon, had an EXCELLENT time. Staff was super accommodating of all of our requests (including for n+1 towels), always available, room was huge and very clean and well-organized, breakfast was good and refreshed pretty quick, shower had excellent water pressure, room was quiet despite being near elevator... I'll be returning here next year!

Excellent hotel! We were a little early for check-in, so we waited in the lobby. They had some late check outs and we were held up about 30 minutes after check-in time. The staff was extremely courteous and offered us some snacks or beverages for our wait, we declined and went on to our room. The room itself was great. Very clean and comfortable, we had 5 people in a suite and it never felt cramped. Upon checkout, the lady there remembered us from the previous day and comped the $30/night valet parking fee and the drinks and snacks we had gotten the previous night before bed. Very pleasant surprise! The breakfast was awesome! Never seen such a nice breakfast selection at a hotel. I give it two thumbs up and would recommend it to anyone!

I have never stood at the front desk so long waiting to be checked in. I feel Kenya purposely took her time after she asked how I was doing and I replied "tired". Being a manager she should know the system better than anyone working the desk. I worked at Hampton Inn so I know the process doesn't take that long.
Secondly the room wasnt as clean as it should have been. It was hair in my shower and door frame leading into the restroom.

Location was great, the room was clean but rather bland. The room was booked to sleep three adults and one 17 year old, but the sofa bed had no sheets and there were none in the room. The sheets were delivered quickly when requested. We were told we couldn't have a fold away cot because the room type wouldn't allow it. It was a one bedroom king suite and there was plenty of room, so I have no idea why. King bed was much too firm for my taste. Overall, about average.

The hotel room was decent. The maids did a great job keeping it clean and if we ever needed anything we got it. The bell good were wonderful and front desk staff were friendly too. You have to pay extra for gym which I didn't agree with. The gym is huge with a lot to do. Racket ball is also extra. The restaurant food was good but our service was horrible. We will never eat there again. The bar was cozy and the bar snacks were spicy. All in all a good place to stay.

We have stayed in a lot of Hilton Hotels and have never had such an awful experience. The hotel did not feel clean or homey at all from the minute we walked in. The lady at the desk who checked us in was nice but when we got up to our 7th floor room, the keys didn't work to open the beat up looking door. The front desk did not answer the phone so my husband went down and got the keys "fixed", came back up and they still didn't work. We called the front desk who said they were sending the engineer right up. After waiting in the extremely hot hallway, I called down again to ask if we could just switch rooms to one we didn't have to wait for (it was late and we were tired). He said that was fine and to come down to the front desk- on our way down we passed the engineer and tried to make conversation with him but he was very rude to us. The gave us a new room which was awesome and we got in no problem, but the room was unimpressive, stuffy and hot, and smelled of old cigarette smoke. The bed was very uncomfortable and the sheets smelled awful.

I stay at quite a few Hilton properties every year - this definitely ranks as the worst one I've experienced in a very long time. Definitely won't be going back.

Several housekeeping mess-ups (used floss on the sink when I checked in, no cups or bathmat the second day) capped off by arriving in my room one evening to find it smelling smoky and finding a lighter lying on my bedside table. Really? Yes, housekeeping left their lighter in my room, apparently because they were using it.

Fitness center was also a comedy of errors - broken treadmill, and giant bath towels instead regular fitness-room-sized towels.

Breakfast was just ok - the usual fare, maybe a little below average. Coffee and Hot Water were frequently empty.

Service at the bar was very slow. Took a long time to get a check - I watched one guy dine and dash because he had been waiting so long for his check.

Am I being too picky? Maybe, but if I'm paying $200 per night I expect more than this.

Location is good, and the building seems nice enough. Room was spacious and comfortable. But I definitely won't be staying at this Hilton property again.

Great experience, everybody was extremely friendly and helpful, room was very clean, set up very nice. They have a nice outdoor pool and spa. Good breakfast, nice valet parking, Great little restaurant attached to the hotel. We had an excellent time when we went to the bar. Would highly recommend for your visit.

We stayed at this hotel for a football game at the GA Dome. This is right off the highway for easy access. The hotel itself was beautiful. Very friendly staff.
The rooms were modern and updated with large TV's. The only con would be the parking. Being in midtown there is no self parking. This hotel is valet only and cost $30 a night. The entrance is tight as well, so if you have a big vehicle be careful when entering. I could live at this hotel, that how much I liked it!!

Had a very pleasant stay. Rooms were a good size, loungy and comfortable. Per my experience; The living room tv did not work. That's really about it. Other than that, super worth it! Great view from the 12th floor balcony and South City Kitchen (great little eatery) is just around the corner about .4 miles away! The $30 overnight parking fee is added to your hotel bill and is charged at the time of check in so your valet experience should be seemless.

Good location. Lots of options for dinner/drinks within walking distance it short Uber ride. Valet parking only though. The evening reception actually had good food and free beer/wine for those of age. Room was a nice size and clean. Everything was quiet and made for a relaxing stay.

Great room and breakfast. The parking is paid valet only, and costs $30 for overnight guests. I understand charging because of the downtown location. But $30 for an a hotel already on the pricier side makes the stay a bit expensive. Staff was great and provided us with a few odds and ends we had forgotten (toothbrushes and extra blankets).

HORRIBLE experience. Booked a large suite, checked in via mobile app (I was driving in from several states away) and when I arrived, my room hadn't been cleaned...there were no other suites available except a small room with not enough room or bed space. Guy at front desk never brought up a roll away bed... I love Homewood suites but this was a nightmare especially after 13 hours of traveling. Ten out ten would NOT recommend.

The rooms are very spacious and the kitchenette is fully functional with a full size refrigerator and electric stove. The lap pool is great. Parking is valet only and very expensive though but understandable for the hotel's location.

Overall hotel is average with a couple two main negatives. Plus- location to Atlanta events. Price compared to other hotels in area. Breakfast included. Staff very friendly. Negatives-location. What? You ask. Access and parking a challenge and hard to find. Note parking garage is off William's St. Not 10th St. and is not well marked. Very narrow entrance be careful or you will miss it. 2nd. Main negative is bedding. At least in our room bed was very firm (very) and not standard Hilton bedding, not comfortable and did not get a good night sleep.
Would I stay here again? A maybe at best.

We had a great room, were treated like royalty and really enjoyed our stay although we were there for medical tests on a friend. The friendliness of the staff and their great service made it a great trip.

We recently stayed at the Homewood Suites in midtown Atlanta. We were attending a swim meet at Georgia Tech so the location was ideal. The rooms are clean and spacious and include a kitchenette with full size fridge and dishwasher. There are hot beverages available in the lobby and a nice selection of choices for breakfast.
