Great customer service, okay pillows. Good experience overall!
Great customer service, okay pillows. Good experience overall!
Staff are all extremely professional and friendly. Great customer service
Great hotel. Stayed 1 night on way north. Pretty pricey but great room with awesome view of the bay and the new bridge.
Visited for business. Optimal location between the companies we visited.
The hotel overall is what you'd expect from a Hilton Garden. Decent rooms that include a bed, a couple night stands, a desk, dresser, TV, etc.
The reason I'm only giving two stars is because we were accidentally checked out early by a staff member a day we were supposed to be. My wife and I were on a trip for our 5th wedding anniversary and we're adventuring in the city when we received a voicemail stating that we had checked out but our stuff was found in our room by housekeeping. As you can imagine this put a large damper on our day. On top of that, all we got was a sorry and a free breakfast after their extremely large mistake.
I stayed here for a day and the service was amazing! their staff is super helpful and friendly. They have a business center that I was able to use and print my boarding pass when I could not check in through my cell phone. I would stay here again if the opportunity comes around.
All of the areas in the hotel were quite clean and respectable
Ac doesn't seem to kick on mini fridges only run at max. It's a nice hotel but it doesn't feel as nice as it could be. Dirty windows in the rooms
Nice hotel, car wash out side was noisy. I could hear it all night long.
The atmosphere is nice, and the hotel is very clean.
Excellent location, with in walking distance of a gas station, dennys, and shopping plaza for other necessities
Way pretty views clean upscale place. Great location. My favorite bay area.
The location is great. There is food and shopping within walking distance. I think the place is overpriced. The rooms are decent. It's nothing special. They don't have an airport shuttle. I think they should look into allowing guests to use the shuttle they have to go to and from the airport.
Biggest HGI I have ever been in. Kudos to the front desk staff - very personable and willing to help
I live in the central valley but travel to the Bay Area alot especially over the weekends. I have always wanted to stay at this hotel as it looks quite inviting from the freeway. Reviews were not bad either. BAD MISTAKE. Our room was extremely smelly and dirty. We suspected the smell was coming from the carpet as my wife and I got quite congested. The touted bay views were not that clear as the window was dirty...we requested a room change except the new room was noisy and had very dusty window pane. I am definitely not staying there again....
An unfortunate experience. The hotel does not deserve the name of Hilton. The receptionists' attention is completely dry and with no intention of solving problems. When asking for his manager, Jeremi, a manager with very little desire to serve Hilton customers, tells me that my problems cannot be solved because my reservation has been made by Booking, and that in addition, he does not understand how people keep doing Booking with Booking. I explain that they (Hilton) are the ones who decide to work with Booking, and in very bad ways, in a pedantic way, and lack of manners, indicates that he is not there to give me solutions. What is your job then, Jeremi? With that manager profile I am not surprised: People without shoes at the reception. People smoking inside the hotel (you could not sleep because of the smell of marijuana on the floor) and poor attention of its employees. You have a lot of work ahead Hilton!
Great, affordable hotel; magnificent views, friendly staff.
I have stayed at this particular hotel. There service is not very good. When things go wrong
Water is shut off in the hotel until approximately 5pm. They did not offer any discounts or reimbursements. As a touring band, all we really need the rooms for is a shower. So this really sucks..
Here for work for 2 weeks, might need to ask for a different room. The bed mattress feels like it's laid on a log, feeling like you will roll off either side, plus it squeaks and creaks like crazy. Also it's a pretty stiff mattress
Nice hotel, nice location and very nice staff. Unfortunately i reserve my rooms without knowing they were under remodeling and lobby, spa, etc were closed.
Nice, clean, quite hotel that is near the freeway and close to shopping center, including a market. The gym is really open and has has nice equipment. No pool, but there is a large jacuzzi outside. Full bar and restaurant. I would stay here again
Nice & clean, shuttle svc to Bart & a nearby 24hr Shell gas sta with Loop Food & snack market.
It's a good inn but the surrounding area is certainly not ideal for walking outside for some sightseeing. The view up in my room was good, tho. If you have to come to this location during your trip to rest and stock up resources for the next destination, this place is good for specifically that. Other than that, there are other places that offer more.
Very nice place. Clean rooms, upscale bar, restaurant and lobby
There is only as much as Trejot in the area & it's early closing, so shopping is at the hotel's one-time kiosk. I think that the kiosk at the nearby hotel is full of food.
The room was ok. Hotel did not notify us of construction prior to trip.
The hotel staff is nice and attentive, and the hotel overall is decent and conveniently located, and in a nice area.
The downside: parking cost extra ($) so is the breakfast ($$$).
Spacious quiet clean rooms, great mattresses, pillows and linens. Excellent jacuzzi, fitness room and breakfast. The night manager, sorry I'm forgetting his name, was especially nice to us.
Very nice for a good price. Clean and inviting. Top notch location for visiting the Bay Area.
Great place to stay as long as your not spending alot of time in your room; rooms can be small.
Very nice people work there and the facility was clean. I plan to visit again soon.
If anybody is trying to find good deals for hotels visit RoomBully. com booked a hotel on there and they had the best rates anywhere!
Hilton Garden Inn S/Oakland recently renovated their rooms (King Room Pictured). The newly renovated rooms are modern and decorated well. The staff is friendly, offering access to the gym and luggage holding while I waited for my room to be ready. The hotel is close to several markets that offer various options, from vegan to typical American, Asian, Italian and Mexican eateries.
Excellent manager, The first hotel I have been to which knows how to make a bed. I can pull back the top comforter and the whole bed does not fall apart.
Had modest expectations of this 3-star hotel, but I've been pleasantly surprised. The place is tidy, everything works, and the staff is friendly. Good spot for a business traveler - just watch out for the morning traffic into San Francisco.
Great location. Room is nice and clean. Furniture is new and morden. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Great location if you have to visit SFO for business. The downside is the expensive breakfast one will have to pay for.
Great Location and service. Nice and comfortable room. Good prices
Staff could not answer questions about local transports, beds had minimally comfort, restaurant had small menu
The room was clean and it had a fridge and microwave. The lobby was also clean and it had a decent pantry for odds and ends.
Stayed here after the Steeler vs. Raider game. Was close by to the stadium and easy to find, was definitely a plus! Clean rooms and nice dining bar area. Also, good restaurants close by, if dining out.
Great rooms the service was even better. Buffet in the morning was the only issue..very expensive and the quality of the food was less than average. I would suggest making other plans if you are staying at this location.
I stayed here about a month ago. Everything was fine until I went down for breakfast. One of the staff follwed myself and my friend around the entire time, and a few minutes after we sat down walked away then came back to ask me what room I was staying in as if he didn't believe that we had a room there. After I told him he continued to linger around our area and watched us the entire time. I was very uncomfortable and it was very embarassing. I'm curious as
to why we were the only ones asked what room we were staying in. I will never stay there agai
I normally stay with Hilton and have always had great service but I have no idea what happened to this one. I booked two rooms for several days. They tried giving me a different room from the one I booked and charged me more than what I reserved.
Spectacular view!!!! That alone makes it worth the trip. Cozy bar. Good service. Close to shopping.
Spent 2 nights here & it's not bad. Location is great just off the Oakland bridge, right outside the city. Staff here is nice. They do their best to accommodate you. Usually I could never get an early check in, thank God today was a good day.
Rooms are a bit small like Hampton Inn small. It's hard to think of this location as a Garden Inn when it almost reflects the Hamptons inn appeal. On the upside, there is a bar & grill down stairs that stays open til midnight. Really nice to top of my evening with a drink before heading upstairs.
Parking is 17 bucks a day. Minus 1 star I've never had to pay for parking but hey it's the city I shouldn't expect freebies. Lol definitely a place to check out when in the bay area.
Great location that is perfect if you like to go running. Quick 1.5 miles to the end of the peninsula where the hotel is located which is really nice. Also convenient to some great food options nearby. The rooms are pretty standard for a Hilton Garden Inn.
The room was very noisy being close to highway. And they keep very minimal supplies and you need to ask everything everytime. The front desk and the management is not helpful. The restaurantand housekeeping staff are friendly though. I'd never stay here.
Very comfortable bed and nice rooms. Convenient location close to the Bay bridge. Great for Oakland or sf.
EDIT: knocked off a few stars because my rental car was broken into in their parking lot. I spoke with management, and they don't have cameras or security in place. While I don't hold the hotel accountable for a criminal's actions, they lack the necessary measures in place to prevent this from happening again. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this hotel. I will not be returning in the foreseeable future
Relaxing in the Bay Area!!!! Much Love to my Family and FBF. It's truly has been a very Bless Day.
Good price, easy location. But sub standard for the quality I am used to at a Hilton brand location.
Nice room with huge TV. Beautiful Jacuzzi. Excellent breakfast options. Stunning views!!! Walking distance to trader Joe's, fridge and microwave in every room!
Comfortable. The upper rooms have a nice view of the bay. There is a running trail nearby along the bayshore.
Nice hotel, nice location. Only bad note as that there's no pool, just a hot tub. It wouldn't matter on a normal day, but staying here in the middle of a record heat wave, a pool would have been nice.
The hotel staff are very rude and arrogant. The card to enter into the parking lot always malfunctions. When a call is placed from the parking lot for help, no one responds. It's a complete disaster. I had to wait outside the parking area for 20 mins before i could park my car and get in! Worst parking system and very impolite staff!
Great location, great staff, clean premises, but I wish we had a room not facing the freeway. It was loud in the morning. strange thing, there was a basketball team at the hotel and several of them and their friends were next door to us... you could hear them in the hallway and it was loud. However, we couldn't hear them in our room... but we heard the freeway... maybe the Hilton should invest in better windows... Oh, the beds were comfortable, but the comforters kept sliding off the bed. Several times throughout the night, we had to pick the comforter off the floor. we will most likely stay here again, but request a room on the other side of the hotel.
Between the two bay cities. Perfect lodging for business travelers who have to work the Bay Area territory.
Back up to what I use (Marriott) and decided to give this place a try. Front desk service is very good. But. Steam from the laundry room sets off fire alarm. Evacuate room. Broken glass in parking lot; looks like car theft. Alerted front desk. Did nothing. Upon check out told them again. National customer service is horrible. 4 times to fix login issue and 4 times call gets disconnected. Constant interruption by agent and they don't seem to get the message.
Very comfortable and clean room. Everyone have been pleasantly helpful and friendly.
They did not respect the reservation after 1 day of being there and they asked us to leave the room. We had to go to another hotel that came out more expensive
Clean and certainly inexpensive for the area so great for tourists who can Uber into the city and save money
The room is fine, but parking is expensive ($ 17 per day) and breakfast is not included ($ 17 per person per day). The prices are 01/2017.
Loved it! The room is fantastic and the staff are top notch.
My stay was great until the next morning. Just before 9:00AM there was loud, repeated, banging on the walls next door. I later had to learn for myself that there was renovation going on. It would've been nice to be warned sooner that was going on, or maybe did renovations not next door to where people are staying. It wasn't great waking up to.
.
The view from some rooms are nice.
Clean room. Attentive staff. Nearby restaurants and access to bridge downtown. Nice walking around the area.
