I come to Emeryville often for work and have stayed in multiple places. The Hilton Garden Inn is nice, fairly updated. But because it is so close to the highway and a pretty narrow hotel (meaning a lot of rooms are close to the elevator bank), it is a REALLY loud hotel. They even give you ear plugs with a note on the deck talking about the "Sounds of the Bay" (which is a nice way to put traffic sounds). Other nearby hotels are much quieter, just as nice. Just hard to get a good night sleep here.

Perfect location to visit San Francisco. Comfortable hotel, great facilities, everything clean and working. Very large, quiet and equipped room. Restaurants, petrol stations and other services in the immediate vicinity. Staff available.

In my own opinion the Hilton Hotels are absolutely gorgeous and have wonderful Customer care and service but I am upset and very dissatisfied as to the cancellation policy and how its handled. A family member who is not only an outstanding customer but an employee called 47hrs and 45min prior to the 48hrs cancellation frame and was not honored the cancellation of her reservation. I understand that people cancel Just because at times but this is a circumstance that was out of our or anyone's else's hands. She just had emergency surgery and has staples in numerous parts of her abdomen and is under a controlled narcotic in which it contributes to get our any other normal persons inability to be behind the wheel. It upsets me that you guys have not one ounce or care or understanding for a condition or circumstance such as this and will with no further proof which shouldn't even be asked for to take ones money and go forth with the reservation but yet go ahead with not one ounce of decency and re book the room to another person and take their money to. In my eyes this is so unprofessional and disgusts me. What if this were your mom, daughter, son or sister etc. Would you make them drive 3+hrs or whatever Under the influence and risk not only their lives but the lives of others for a measly certain $$$amount. I don't think Hilton is gonna crumble over one cancellation that is God honestly necessary for the recovery of a person that was just released after a week stay In the hospital from an emergency procedure and now needs time to recover. I will be discussing this with corporate as son as Monday's sun rises. Thank you a concerned customer

First thing the room you pay for doesn't include parking, wasn't warned, wasn't happy. They weren't able to meet out wheel chair handicap needs. Then we had to be switched rooms because of a vomit smell that when asked to clean up they aerosol sprayed it. So we got moved then the gate key wouldn't work had to get a new one. Then the room key didn't work. Overall check in staff was rude and not very helpful. Kinda expected a nonvomit smelling room or free parking for 200 a night room, or at least a pool. The kitchen staff was great though liked the breakfast it was good. But I don't think I'll be staying here again, personally I would recommend going to another hotel.

I stayed here a couple of times, I love their free cookies that they leave in the front desk when you check in. The view over the water is beautiful at night, make sure you ask for a room with a view. The only thing that I didn't like was that they charged for parking, I've stayed at many Hilton property and most of them never charge for parking. The service is really good, the staff are nice and friendly, they are fast to make sure you are happy and if you ever need anything, they'll help you out.

Nice hotel, power went out for an hour around 10:30pm, Romika at Reception was wonderful! Breakfast buffet was good, waffle was the best. Bed was on the firmer side. Overall, is a good hotel with a wonderful Bay view from our room.

Rooms have decent insulation from the outside noise of the freeway, but not from other rooms. I could hear people talking in the rooms next to me, hear their toilets flush, and doors slam. Makes it very hard to sleep. The room is clean but basic.

This Hilton Garden Inn offers a bright, standard HGI lobby with coffee, fruit water, and/or oatmeal cookies available throughout the day. Upon arriving I noticed this property offers reserved parking for Diamond-level HHonors members, though as a lowly HHonors Gold member, I was forced to park amongst the commoners. Quelle horreur!

Unfortunately, the TV-based folio was "not available" for me to review, nor was a paper copy slipped under my door the night before checkout, but I wasn't interested in stopping at the front desk, so we decided to "chance it". (Suggestion for HHonors app development team: It would be nice if the HHonors app that allows me to check into my room also provided me with a real-time copy of my folio and allowed me to check out as well.)

Wish i could give a no star review!! But the rooms were nice, and it was a comfortable stay. It would've been better if the front desk agents at night were a little friendlier towards their guests. Ronika at the front desk was extremely rude and unwelcoming. If you are so unhappy at your so called "hospitality" job, why do you choose to work at the front desk? Anyways, hotel staff was friendly besides her, and the night time manager was nice, but also seemed to look down on us. Overall great stay, VERY unfriendly front desk agent.

Hotel was fine, but the parking was a rip-off and horribly managed. When we were there, the hotel's entire computer system went down, which meant we had to pay twice for parking in order to get out of the lot. We asked to have this corrected, and the desk person said they corrected it. However, we ultimately still got doubly charged for parking.

Made reservation by phone. They make no mention of $ 15 parking fee, $6 morning fee to get back over the bridge and that the Fitness area is not available to its patrons. Breakfast is ok, view of bay is nice and the employees are cheerful.

It's a Hilton Garden Inn just across the Bay Bridge from SF. Clean, comfortable. Easy access to and from the freeway that takes you to SF or to anywhere in Oakland. Ample parking. The breakfast was solid, with lobby waffles emblazoned with the Hilton logo, but its not included. For the price a better breakfast can be found nearby.

I went during the fires up in Paradise and the filtering system at least in the lobby was not very good. Also, the bathroom stalls were very tight. I am a small woman but my knees were one or two in away from the door stall.

I do a lot of traveling for work, and this place always feels so comfortable. Great staff, comfy rooms, and the Bay views are great, especially watching the sunsets. Freeway side of the property can be noisy, so Bay side is definitely the way to go. Easy parking and access to freeway as well. I stay here every time I work in the area.

We have no complaints about your location, however, we are concerned that our clients are continually asked for payment even though we submit credit authorization forms to 5 personnel from your location every time we book. We're not sure how to reach someone in charge without posting a complaint.

Love this place. It's close to outdoor shopping mall, restaurants, train station, University of California Berkeley, freeway access to San Francisco, and more. I would not stay anywhere else.
