Spent three nights here before boarding a cruise. Had a junior suite on the 20th floor. Accommodations quite nice: Comfy king bed, 2 TV's, really nice sitting room and lovely balcony with nice view of ocean. Opted for the bounce back package. Glad we did; included breakfast vouchers were worth $29 / person. Superior buffet selection. In and out door seating. We ate but one meal at the hotel's restaurant - our opinion was that the menu was very limited and rather pricey. We ate another meal at Sun, Surf & Sand (S3), which shares space, but not management with the Hilton. I had a steak wrap, my better half had fish wraps. We both thought they were excellent! I had cole slaw with my wrap; it was the worst I ever recall. The last night we ate at Seasons 52 at the mall nearby.

The hotel is directly across - maybe 400 ft. - from the ocean. Conveniently, a lifeguard station is near the beach entrance. The Hilton garden has a heated pool. It has poolside rental cabanas and hot tubs. The easy entry pool is spacious but not huge but with tons of deck lounges.

We found one of the entrance attendants "Mark", to be an irrepressible Ft.Lauderdale booster with tons of info. and a great sense of humor. He tends to work the later shift 3 - 11 pm, but worth asking for.

The all- important question, would I go back? Yes.

I'm a Hilton member and was looking online to buy my spouse a much needed day spa and I was planning on joining her. I called multiple times and nobody picked up the phone . Each time I called I left a voicemail. No return calls. And now when someone finally answered the call. They left me on hold which felt like forever . Then was giving me a slight attitude when I was asking questions. Dont waste your time.

Still here and so far disappointing to say the least. The room is so dated and the furnishings are really beat up and falling apart. Carpet is coming up in the halls on our floor. Hotel rooms need updating. I never have problems with hotel beds, but the bed is very uncomfortable and the pillows are just as bad. Seem like cheap fiber filled pillows you can buy at a discount store. Linens and towels are OK. The fridge in our room froze our produce and the freezer can't even keep ice frozen. Only have one small pan and one small sauce pan to cook with. Barely any silverware and no sharp knives. This hotel does not deserve 4 star status. Valet is $43 per day and slow. Pool service is terrible and you are better off going inside to order. Beach chairs are free but umbrellas are $25. Beach is filled with algae every day so far and the city and hotel don't do enough to get rid of it. Rotting algae in the hot sun makes you want to vomit. Hilton won't get another dollar from me. There are much better boutique hotels that still know how to take care of their properties and train staff. Bathrooms have hair all over bathroom floor in every corner along with some cobwebs. The room has dust everywhere likely due to the filthy air filter that is the wrong size. Room has peeling paint and ceiling has signs of water damage.

Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms clean and newly decorated. We've stayed at this hotel 4 times and always come back.

I like the view however I was having trouble with my credit card and at 2:00 got a call threatening to throw me out of the hotel at that time. I explained I needed to call my back in the morning but was told by the man that they would physically remove me ( I'm disabled) and my daughter if I didn't give them 400.00 cash. It was the most embarrassing horrible experience I have ever had. Never stay herd again.

Enjoyable stay. Good coffee shop that serves Starbucks so you can grab a hot or cold brown en route to the beach. Pool is nice. Happy Hour at the sixth floor bar is pretty awesome. Some great libations at a great price. Bartender, Brian was a cool dude. The bed was super comfortable. I would stay here again

At the hotel now, been waiting more than 3 hours to get our room. Every time we check in with the front desk, "They are cleaning it now." And just now, "It is clean but a supervisor needs to approve it." So it takes 3+ hours to clean a room here. Meanwhile everyone else in the lobby also waiting for a room has gone up, and we got here before them.

I booked this as a Staycation for my birthday due to cancelations of multiple prospective trips during these unceartain times for travel. From booking to the last day, our stay was excellent.

I was impressed with the measures being taken to keep things safe and sanitized. On check-in day, there is literally a "sanitized seal" that breaks when you enter, so you know your the first persom goijg ij since sanitization. While the beach isn't owned by the hotel, the chairs are included for use based on first come first serve.

Weekdays were much easier to keep distances, but there were noticeably more people in the weekend. I suggest making reservations for weekend dinners well in advance as restaurants can only serve to a certain number of people at a time. Even though you see empty tables, they may not be usable due to the pandemic.

If you're not Hilton Honors, sign up! Using the app made communication with front desk so easy. Let me not even start on them. I feel like some of the front dest employees are my friends!! They were so welcomijg and remembered me....even though I had on a mask!!! It was an awesome trip tjat has encouraged me to consider more staycations! Hilton Ft. took 3 hours to speak to someone and only becuase I drove all the way there only to discover there was no availability. your inside a renowned hotel. customer service is pish poor

Super nice hotel with great views and very respectable staff. My fiance had a massage and she said it was one of the best massages she has ever had! Only down side was we had 5 people say in a two bed room with a pull out sofa... not recommended in that we should have got two rooms. Besides the sofa bed being uncomfortable the pool, gym, and view of the ocean was great. Will definitely be staying at the hotel on future trips.

I should have heeded the warning from other bad reviews. First, the hotel is not smoke free as advertised. Seconds, it is an old and smelly structure. Third, you are surrounded by better quality hotels. If you like dumps, this is the hotel for you.

Had an 8th floor room with a nice view of the ocean. The food at the resteraunt by the pool on the 6th floor was good and the service was quick. Overall an excellent experience.

Our housekeeper Debrah she makes you feel your at home and her kind notes helped when we were missing home I still have her mother with me and I ll treasure them thank you so so much your a kind lady...it s something thats needed in housekeeping. We Love you Debrah. The front desk staff are amazing and although the check-in can be challenging due to so many people come in at once and yes your tired but once get to your room, your settled in the front desk staff will never let you down on your complaints and demands and let s not forget those hard working bell-gentleman carrying everything you brought home but the kitchen sink and if your feet are tired I wouldn t be surprised they pig back you to your room they will do anything to make your stay comfortable. If your looking for day-tripping adventures your going to get honest answers from the cordinators waiting for you at their desk neck the the bell-gentleman and not to forget the hard working men and women running to get your car, making sure you have water, making sure some mad fool doesn t slip his foot off the break and run over your kids over please value them with your generous tips and a shout out to Cathy.
The only one negative I have for the hotel is please keep the out of control university student March breakers out of your hotel they don t respect the hotel, the guest or the staff keep its family and friendly,business friendly so keep it that way.
To the Hilton owners:
Time to Upgrade your hotel and don t cut the staff budget to do it infacr add more staff it s needed!, carpet change, paint job, new gym equipment, new company to serves your sheets, new furniture for the rooms and please get rid of those ugly metal furniture near the pool nice teak wirh pading might keep people out longer. Theses are small jester as a reminder of the other hotels around thar are more up to date. Rip the carpet out of the hallways, paint the doors and new wall papers and pleases! Stay away from brown... I do stay at the Conrad as well and it s perfect!

We stayed March 2019 and paid alot of money for a suite. This is an honest review. Below are the pros and cons of this hotel. Bottom line is they shouldn't advertise this resort as a 4 star resort. It's more like a 3 star resort in comparison to the Marriott, Pelican Grand, W and Conrad Resorts next door. That's why Hilton's rate is noticeably cheaper. Plus beware that this hotel automatically charges and adds 18% gratuity for everything in your bill. Also, PLEASE STOP hosting loud parties and blasting loud rave/techno music below the pool (in Balqony) if you want to be a 4 star resort. I'm sure alot of guests have complained about this. We felt like we were at a downtown club instead of a resort. Try the Mariott Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort instead.

Cons:
-Biggest issue: always hosting loud clubbing parties and blasting techno/rave music early afternoon until 11pm. Painful to guests/kids ears.
-Everything about this hotel is outdated and old. The pics here are VERY deceiving. Believe me!
-The gym is the size of my closet.
-Front staff are trained to act nice but not truly genuine.
-Rooms don't have any toilet paper, sheets and blankets.
-Carpet is stained
-Room phone was always dead with busy signal. It's like they don't want you to call down for service.
-Hilton's Ilios Restaurant by the pool was horrible. They charge an arm and a leg but pool staff service is terrible. Plus they add 18% gratuity to your bill. They should be trained like the Marriott staff down the road.
-kids eating free with adult entree is a scam. Only 2 Kids can eat with 2 adult entress after 5pm at Hilton Ilios restaurant and only can choose from a kid's menu.

Bellman, concierge, and valet parking staff is helpful and service is good The best part about this hotel).

Absolutely wonderful diamond club member experience. The hotel, location, beach and restaurant were amazing! I love being a loyal diamond member!

Imagine getting an awesome deal, but then you would need to pay for shipping. 3 stars for the view and service. Removing two stars because we had to pay for parking and it wasent cheap.

View and service is so great that I book a room there for a weekend when I need a little vacation, even that I live at apartment complex that's just a few miles away and it's as comfortable as Hilton but ocean view with ocean breeze that are so enjoyable from ocean view balcony are impossible to forget and not to think about it when you have an idea about relaxing or having a vacation.

Gorgeous hotel with amazing rooms, a wonderful pool and first rate food in the included breakfast for Diamond members. I would stay here longer next time!

Rooms weren't clean, sheets were stained, they made us wait hours just for toilet paper, and we had to wait 4 hours for our room.

Very poor customer service at the front desk. They have people that can not function correctly past 8 pm working check in. It will take you 20 minutes to get a new key, and all of your personal information will not allow you into your own room. I m sorry, this was one of my worst experiences at any hotel that I have been at in 20 years of staying any where in the United States.
They charge $45 a night to valet park your car, with no personal parking option.
The only people that care, are the people at the bar and the concierge desk. Otherwise avoid this hotel, it is a scam and they will try to take every penny out of your pocket with no remorse no matter what you do, or who you are.

We had checked into the Hotel, everything went well. Once our room was ready we went upstairs and since we had an ocean view I wanted too go out to see the beautiful ocean. When I turned around there's was <br/>4" metal strip I tripped over. I had a terrible fall into the living room my chest hit the corner of the living room table. My legs very badly bruised. I called the front desk, security took a report and security called again the next day. I didn't hear anymore from the Hotel. The bruises didn't turn black in blue until I returned home. But the pain very bad. Very disappointing that the Hotel management didn't take time to see if I was ok.

The Hotel is right of the beach you just have to cross the A1A. The beach is beautiful and they provide chairs and towels with your stay. The rooms were a great size and came with kitchenette. They have an amazing breakfast and a very friendly and professional staff.

Construction going on ALL day inside the hotel and outside on a new high-rise. Every morning starting at 7am construction starts and during the afternoon there s drilling inside the rooms. OH, and just last night we were woken up at 4am and again at 5am to a FALSE FIRE ALARM that evacuated us from our room. When we got downstairs, the manager had no clue and didn t even hear the alarm and barely paid us any mind. Exhausting staycation. We re locals and we won t be staying at this hotel again.

Great hotel, fair price, top location. Booked through hotwire. Valet is $39 plus $33 Resortfee, but overall worth it.

Very friendly helpful staff. We stayed in a suite and loved having a full kitchen and the bathroom was huge! The beach is just across from the hotel and they provide the chairs and towels. Be aware there is a charge of 35 dollars a day resort fee and 42 dollars a day to park your car.

Best customer service experience! The employee, Edward, treated us fantastic. He explained everything clearly and made our check in enjoyable. We will definitely be staying here again!

The rooms are neglected, the service is mediocre. Most of the time there was no internet, room service barely cleaned the room. 2 out of 4 elevators did not work We waited every 3 minutes until an elevator arrived and then everyone was crammed. Suitable for a 2-star hotel. Stay away

Loved the beach and the nice staff too. Everyone was really working for the most part to take care of us. But, a few staff members really rose to the top of the service with a pleasant and efficient outcome. Angie K. and Monica Q. who worked the breakfast buffet were two stand-outs I cannot say enough about. They went above and beyond their counterparts to ensure we were happy and satisfied. Everyone needs more staff like these two ladies. Thanks ladies!

I would give them a higher rating, BUT - my wife was injured in multiple places by a neighboring heavy pool umbrella that violently struck her after being lifted forcefully out of its base by the wind. The staff was friendly and gave us complimentary drinks, but management totally ignored us, despite it being a topic of their morning briefing the next day. They only told us that it is the hands of their insurance company, but nothing about the process or any type of compensation for the pain, the lost days, the unsightly bruises, and the emotional trauma. This was our second year at this resort, spending thousands of dollars each year on premium rooms. We had planned to return, but the insensitivity of management has left us cold. Hospitality is trained to sound sweet - but there is nothing behind it. The injury happened two weeks ago, and now we are handing it over to our lawyer. This incident ruined our long-planned vacation.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a few nights just to get away. The hotel is nice. It is in a great location on Fort Lauderdale Beach. There is nightlife just a short walk away. The hotel seemed very nice at first but when you look into detail you can see that it is dated. I did not feel the shower was clean. Our room was a1 bedroom king suite but we were told the view was going to be better than it actually was. It was looking at the new development going up next door and a small view of the ocean. Not super impressed but I would definitely recommend if the rate is fair.

While traveling for business they claimed they did not have our and other coworkers' reservations so had to find another hotel. Closest available hotel was in Miami! There is an additional resort charge to use pool or beach chairs/towels. Not a particularly nice property. Do not recommend.
