Stayed here for a conference and very much enjoyed the property and experience. It's a very beautiful, historical property that adds some pleasant charm to your typical Hilton.

The room was spacious and nice but I wasn't amazed by it. Clean, simple, and nice but not very memorable. They have dispensers in the shower for shampoo, body wash, and conditioner but the body wash was empty and that seems to be a trend at all the hotels I stay at that have this kind of set up. Just odd.

The gym and pool area on the 8th floor is quite good. It is an extra fee per day for most guests unless you're staying in an executive room and then its included in the rate. The gym is actually a fitness club that people in the area can be members of and hotel guests just have access to it as well. Great staff, great facilities including a full locker room with lockers, showers, etc.

I ate at the main restaurant for breakfast and had the buffet and it was very good. The service was quick and the options were varied and excellent. I also ate at the main bar, not the Irish Bar, and had the gnocchi and the brussel sprouts and both were delicious, especially the brussel sprouts.

The elevators were slightly problematic at times as the set that went to my floor would make me push the button multiple times to get one to come. There were also some places where you could see paint peeling which is a bit off putting. They also have staff there selling Hilton Grand Vacation packages so be aware. Had a nice interaction but wasnt expecting to be approached in the lobby to be pitched on a sales opportunity.

The door man was such a sweetheart, as we were venturing off for dinner in the rain he quickly stopped us and offered us both umbrellas! The staff was friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Very beautiful hotel right when you walk in. Greeted with enormous chandeliers, a grand piano, and grand staircases on either side of you as walk into the lobby. The hotel has a few dining options if you want to stay in the hotel, and when you venture outside, the location of the hotel is great and close to public transportation for the many attractions Chicago has to offer. They have a really decent gym with a hot tub and pool, but if you want to use it for anything other than the track circuit, you'll have to pay $15 for it. One of the first things that stuck with me is the text messages I get from the staff. Shortly after checking into my room, I got a text message from the staff asking if I found the room okay, and from then on, just a simple text message once a day making sure that I'm still satisfied and if there's anything I need. I thought it was a really nice touch, and they weren't pushy with their texts. The room itself was modern, clean, and a perfect size for my friend and I. We got two double beds on the 17th floor and were able to see a bit of the lake on one end and downtown Chicago on the other. You get to use a tablet they provide for you in the room (though I didn't really use it), and the back panel of the TV is accessible so you can plug Chromecast in if you want, which was a huge plus to us.

Great quiet hotel even though there were several large events going on in the hotel. It is within walking distance of Millennium Park. Great restaurants within walking distance. Easy to get a taxi or Uber ride from the entrance off Michigan Ave.

Older hotel with decent rooms and stunning views of Lake Michigan and downtown Chicago available if you're willing to pay for the upgrade. Conveniently located near the Roosevelt Red/Green/Orange line stops for CTA, and just a short walk from a lot of great South Loop attractions like Buckingham Fountain, Cloud Gate ("the bean") and Grant Park. Rooms have been outfitted with the Hilton digital key, so if you check in using the Hilton app you can check in and out without ever having to wait at the front desk. Staff is attentive and frequently reached out via text to ensure that my stay was going well.

The international ballroom was lovely and nicely arranged for the event. The restrooms were clean and smelled nice. Hotel staff were accommodating and more than happy to help conference goers who weren't staying beyond the event.

Worst hotel stay ever. Valet was rude and snatched tickets out my hand. While checkin in i was asked for my credit card to just put on file but he charged me another $220 on top off the $250 deposit when i already paid $215 two weeks prior. The toilet in my room didnt work properly,i paid for Lakeview but windows were so filthy with spiders webs couldn't enjoy the view. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone!

Great historic spot, close to food/drinks, lots of conveinences in the hotel, and a good view. Loved the opportunity to get a room with 2 bathrooms. The hotel provided a shuttle to the convention which was a huge convenience. The staff was friendly and did an excellent job of keeping the all parts of the building clean.

I would not stay here unless other hotels are sold out. There are much better options in this area for similar price. Paid for two queen room with two bathrooms. Received a room with one bathroom and two twin beds. Contacted the front desk about this and they were not concerned and offered no other options or compensation.

Not impressed! The entrance is amazing. My room was from 1972 windows, blinds, everything. No air in bathroom. Super hot. My room was supposed to have a view of the lake and I had to bend around the window to see a glimpse of the lake. The chair in the room had white stains on it. Really? Worst place I've been in a long time. Tried to get $$ back and they said no. Goodbye Hilton Chicago!

My expections where to high. The room are not indidually climate controled and when the heat is on, the only option is to open a window for cooler air. Really, in this day... it's unexceptable. The first room on the exective level was very dusty. No need to white glove checks, it was visablly dusty lamps desk and item there in. However the front desk was very help and glad to move us to another room.
As a constuction project mananger, I understand the cost assoictaed with HVAC systems on properties this large! Over all, the hotel is beautiful and the staff is very professional.

Great history but don't use that as an excuse to be old and musty. Elevators were constantly rumbling through the walls. Called and ordered room service, told it would be an hour never came. Still charged! Asked for extra blankets at 9 PM. Housekeeping calls at 7 am asking if we want blankets?! Yeah you want to pay a lot for "atmosphere and history" while getting motel six go for the Hilton Chicago.

Second time staying at the Hilton for a weekend getaway. Purchased the park and stay package. The location is perfect if you want to visit classic Chicago attractions. The room was spacious and very clean. They provide clean towels, desk, alarm clock, in-room safe, coffee maker, mini fridge, etc. We had no problems in our room. I liked that they have security posted at the elevators to make sure not just anyone could go up to the guest floors. The bed was super comfortable. Check in and out was simple and easy. Definitely will return for future getaways!

This place breathes history, make sure you read about its story (eg Wikipedia) before visiting! :)
Rooms may appear a bit odd, I got a decently sized with 2 small bathrooms, check the hostory for the "Why?!) ;)
But to me most important: it was clean, dry, safe with very good services, nice staff and a great conference setup for the event I attended. Walk to Downtown is a decent one but great when the weather is fine, else the nice staff helps you out with a taxi in no time.

It shames that they shut down Executive Lounge. And they offer continental breakfast to Diamond member. If you are Diamond member you'd be better to find other options. Also rooms are old. It is not worth to pay high price.

Visited the Hilton Chicago for a national conference with students. We had 4 rooms (all with two double beds). I've stayed in a variety of hotels in my personal life and through work and have never been in double bed rooms that were so large. My room had bathrooms on both sides of the room which I loved and have also never seen in a hotel before. Not all of our rooms had two bathrooms but the ones that didn't had the same amount of space as those that did so the room seemed even larger. The check in process was smooth and the employees were all very helpful and professional. We used the conference rooms throughout our conference and I was very impressed with all of the facilities. I would gladly come back and visit again. My students and I had a great visit!

Best part about this hotel is the convenient location. This establishment is considered historical landmark and it's located right at the heart of Michigan Ave. There are two restaurants inside the hotel and fitness center as well. Overall, when taken a closer look, there are more items out dated as far as interior details then not. Was really hoping for windows where we'd be able to look out but, we had to keep the blackout shades down as we were facing other people's windows in an uncomfortably close vicinity. A/C worked well and sheets were clean. No bottled water was provided with coffee & tea bags. Small fridge was located under the desk. Safe was a nice feature inside the drawer between two beds. Small touch screen is located in the room where we were able to get city info, order airport transit and get as much info on food and entertainment in downtown Chicago.

The outside is very well taken care of and is clean. Just like they say, they don't make them like this anymore. After you enter in the lobby you can see all of the beautiful expensive marbles and it is very nice to see, walking a little further and you step into a grand room that is really breathtaking. Once you step out of the elevator you are in a high end brand new hotel. I didn't find out until later that they had spent a hundred and fifty million dollars on reservations, I find that to be absolutely incredible and it seems like they have rebuilt everything else with brand-new materials and furniture.

Our room had a beautiful view of the lake and Buckingham fountain and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The views at night were just as breathtaking! It is very conveniently located to EVERYTHING. We didn't take a single cab or Uber during our stay. Hilton always takes care of us!
