David Heck Review of Hideaway Steakhouse
Clean, rich, elegant, expensive.

Service was great. We received a complimentary appetizer with Salmon on top of a cucumber with some white creamy thick sauce and a few greens. It was pretty good! The plate looked better though. It looked like one of those things you see on cooking shows with a nice plate presentation. I assume we got it free since it was our first time there (hint, say that for a small free appetizer on a pretty plate).
Dinner was good, my wife's was much better. She ordered a surf n turf special with an 8oz Filet and an 8oz Lobster tail, along with whipped potatoes with bacon chunks, and a brussel sprout medley. Every bite was excellent. $78.00 excellent? That depends on your income.
I ordered a 10oz Filet with the blue cheese sauce. The sauce tasted great, but the meat had tendons all through it (no one's fault, buying steak is a coin toss isn't it?). There wasn't one bite of the half I ate that didn't have a piece of unchewable gristle in it. My dogs loved the other half. $50 with no sides? ...
The beer was beer. My wife loved the wine. I have no idea it's name .... It's was suggested by our server.
The bill was $168. We left $50 for a tip. The place is great. If your income/inheritance can choke down a $220 dinner bill you will love it.
