Pretty cool with the factory tour and the make your own chocolate bar. The floors were hella sticky though and the chocolate is subpar (literally just a bar of sugar). Not a bad way to spend in the area though.

This is one of the most unique attractions I have ever been to! The 30 minute free ride is an interesting and fun experience for people of all ages. Not to mention the sheer amount of chocolate all around you!
We came for the day and had a blast. There's just so much to do. More than the variety and fun though, we went to the deli to get some food for my niece, who has a medical condition that makes her completely intolerant to gluten. We told the server and he went out of his way to make sure to change gloves and handled her food with extra care, checked that their applesauce was good for her, and even gave us an extra applesauce and juice for her and included it in the meal price. The staff here are wonderful, helpful, and considerate, and I'm very impressed and pleased. 10/10 will be coming back with the rest of my niblings in the future!
Its a fun thing to do with children but much of it is locked behind the paywall of the park. And if you go to the factory with a date make sure they are ok to laugh at some of the cringy corporate mascots. Also bulk chocolate is cheap which is awesome.
Excellent place to visit while touring The United States of America. Enjoy the tour of the factory and plenty of chocolate varieties to pick up for yourself and your friends
Liked the new aspects (no spoilers) added to the free tour. Did the chocolate tasting which we hadn't did before and really enjoyed it. 4D Theatre was a lot of fun. Really fun visit! Also did the Sweet Lights trolley which was well guided, had chocolate kisses (and cherry and candy cane this trip), and Christmas "caroling." Great experience all around.
The moment you walk through the doors to r Hershey s Chocolate World all adult inhibitions are suspended. You ll join a diverse crowd of children and adults, young and old, who are scouring racks of Hershey products and related gifts. You ll find giant candy bars, the staple items, and unique variations all at reasonable prices. There are themed gifts like clothing, toys, and memorabilia for those interested.
The whole time you ll be surrounded by bright lights, sounds, and the aroma of cocoa...all reminding you of where you are. Definitely visit the free chocolate tour accessed via the handicap ramp. The whole ride takes about 10 minutes to explain how Hershey makes its chocolate, and you ll receive a small chocolate bar at the exit. There is a food court and small play area available. Leave room for the chocolate coffee!
Had a buffet lunch in the Circular Room and it was outstanding!! Unique, high quality selections from soups to desserts. Went to Chocolate World and it was fun and entertaining while informational. However, really wanted to buy some souvenirs but the check out lines were just tooooo long.
This is the first time we came here. We had fun even when it rained. Everyone is super nice and friendly. There were so much candy, treats and gifts to choose from. Price range on clothing was more then the park. But we had fun and we ate lots of chocolate. I actually got a headache from the caffeine From chocolate world you can walk over to Hersey. Hersey strip also has a shuttle for the lodge, hotel and camp ground. Parking is expensive if you plan on staying more then three hours.
This shop was awesome. A chocolate lovers dream. They have items priced low to high so you can get everyone on your list a gift. The kids really enjoyed seeing the displays and of course riding the chocolate ride to see how the candy is made. It was a fun time for the whole family.
This place is great, however be prepared to pay. The items in the store are not priced that bad, however to do the make your own candy bar, is $22.00...sorry but thats a bit much. It costs $9.00 for 1 smore. The food court doesn't have much selections and today we couldn't find a table to sit at. I also noticed the tables were very dirty. The chocolate tour, which is free was very nice, but quite a long line. This place is always crowded, so it makes it very difficult to shop. The 1st 3 hrs are free to park at chocolate world, but if you are going to stay 5 or more hours, parking is $40.00...that's just crazy. I definitely recommend a visit at least once.
I totally suggest this place for a family or anyone !!! We did the Adventure tour, which included the 4d movie, trolley tour and make your own candy bar. Also we did a Hershey boat ride which is cute and FREE. We spent almost the entire day here. The gift shop is huge and you can go crazy buying stuff but it honestly is cheaper than Walmart.
Recently visited and really loved the updates they made to Chocolate World. My daughter loved the ride and we made our own candy bars which was a lot of fun. The food court was great and we had a delicious lunch all in 1 building. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Hershey.
Love the chocolate world! Nice to be able to get different types of chocolate there not usually in our stores. Cupcakes and milkshakes were delicious. A must stop when in the area
Very impressed with Chocolate Worlds current handling of visitors. Can not say the same for some of the visitors though, I guess some people just don't understand about being safe in public.
Great place. About a two hour visit. Fantastic gift store that is huge. Everything Hershey you could ever want. Rare and special stuff you won't find anywhere. Look for coupons. Turnpike reststop had coupons for the 4D movie. Kids loved the free chocolate samples also.
Chocolate World attractions are overpriced as for any tourist trap but the candy is so fresh that you buy there, it's worth a stop. Anyone who really loves fresh licorice should definitely get it from Chocolate World.
Hershey's Chocolate World is alright. I used to go when I was younger and it was entertaining to see real liquid used to represent chocolate, rather than projections on walls. It takes away from actually understanding and knowing what the chocolate making process looks like. Regardless of the projections being used, it is still nice to visit. You get a piece of chocolate on your way out
What a fun place to visit, especially during the Christmas season! We enjoyed pictures with Santa, the candy replica of the Hershey Mansion, and the yummy food! We get their chocolate pulled pork with chocolate BBQ sauce every time we go! It's delicious! The ride that shows how chocolate is made is free, fun, educational, AND you get free chocolate at the end!! What's better than that, you might ask? How about GIANT versions of your favorite candy? (Giant KitKat pictured). Since it's so close to the factory, the chocolate you can buy at chocolate world is fresher and tastier than anything you will get on store shelves! Overall a fun, family friendly experience.
This place is great for families. There are so many things to do! I recommend the chocolate tasting class. Yes the making your own chocolate bar is pricey, but its huge and a neat experience.
We come every time we are at Penn State Children's Hospital. The staff that work the ride are amazing with my special needs child. Fun way to spend a rainy afternoon or cool off on a hot summer day!
We love coming here to just walk around and check out the new stuff. Great place to spend a couple hours and have a little fun, while buying some gifts for friends and family or just for you! Always an enjoyable time!
Visiting relatives in Lebanon. Reside in Silver Springs, FL formerly from Northampton, PA. Great Granddaughter enjoyed the experience. Her favorite was the Trolley.
Great place to visit with the kids! Loved the fun way they explain the history and candy handouts too. Worth a visit. Even just for the free tour. expect to spend some money if you want to spend all day though.
So many items to look at and buy. Everything is so colour and pretty. Wonderful place to take kids! The thing you must do if you go is making your own chocolate.
The place is great you get a free ride for the factory tour, lots of other things to do there including catching a movie, but don't buy your candy there, because you can get it for half the price at the nearby Walmart, with the same expiration dates.
How can you not love this? You're learning how chocolate is made; you get a sample if you go on the tour. Speaking of the tour, it is very well done! Also recommended; take the trolley ride - very entertaining and educational.
