We are going for the third time. We absolutely love this place. We are a family of 5 and from the youngest to the oldest it's a true joy. Any age! I do recommend going online and getting your tickets for the attractions that cost in advance.
30 min ride through the life and process of making chocolate (FREE)
45 min candy bar designing and making your own bar ($15 / same price for kids)
30 min 4D movie that the coolest movie ever!!! ($10 / kids are cheaper)
Trolley tours through the town and more...
ENJOY

Wow. What happened to the ride. Everyone hated it. It used to be wonderful. It is now a cheesy assault on the senses. Maybe the worst experience I have ever had on a ride. Not just my impression. Everyone of all ages thought they learned nothing but had been beaten up. No tatse. No class. So bad. May become a cult type thing that people get high and come to see because it is so strange.

I thought we'd spend a couple of hours buying chocolate but we ended up staying all day there. The 4D movie was really fun. The tasting experience was definitely worth it and our ten year old loved it. Recommend for kids five and older.

Took our family and 4 year old here. We arrived close to closing time but we were still available to do 3 activities and have enough time to shop in the store. Unfortunately due to the rainy weather and time constraints we were unable to do the tour or amusement park. Large parking area and shuttles available. Parking free if you stay 3 hours or less.

We did the -
1. 4D experience. It was really cute. We were seated in a movie style theater and our mission was to find out who was snooping in the factory. I liked that Ms. Kisses made it interactive by pointing out kids they had spoke to in the prior room. You could smell the chocolate in puffs of air and twizzler when she snapped her whip. Some sprinkles of water and in the end ribbons and bubbles.

2. Chocolate tasting. This was in a seated area as well. We were given a brief background on the beginnings of chocolate and its' origins. Next we were asked to taste 4 pieces of chocolate - 2 hershey dark chocolate, 2 hershey milk chocolate. After each tasting we had an interactive pad to pick the flavors we tasted. At the end we received certificates and free kit kat bar.

3. Create your own candy bar. This was pretty cool but not much particpation required. Thankfully my daughter still enjoyed herself. Everyone had to son a bonnet and apron. Men even had to cover their beards. Upon entering that were several tablet cased stands in which you scan your ticket and began to make your chocolate. You could choose between - white, milk or dark chocolate. You then chose up to 3 toppings and walked to the next station. You got to watch the machine drop your bar and begin its process down the assembly line, next each cyclinder container toppings would spread toppings on your bar. Then it went over a conveyor belt that covered it in chocolate. While going thru cooling tubes you went to the next stand to create your candy box. Then you awaited your name to pick up your candy.

The shopping area was really large. Candy galore and decently priced. They had clothes as well from babies to adults. Stuffed animals, coolers, bags and miscellaneous items. There was a food court. Great statues to take pictures with.

Definitely for kids!

It was fun! Things are surprisingly not too expensive (except the "world's biggest" candies but what would you expect, you can get a Hershey bar that weighs in at 5 pounds) and there's a lot to choose from. The chocolate factory tour ride is mostly kid orientated, but I found myself to enjoy it too. Only deducted a star due to the fact that the red slushie made me pretty sick.

I highly recommend purchasing the complete experience that includes the 4d movie, the chocolate tasting, the trolley tour and the make your own candy bar in addition to the free factory tour. We spread ours over two days, which was not a problem. The trolley was our son's favorite part! And, of course, the shopping is amazing. Anything chocolate related you can imagine is available. The treats available at the bakery and food court look fabulous...our family liked the jolly rancher flavored slushies, the strawberry cheesecake, and the frozen hot chocolate.

Great place for the family and chocolate lovers of course. Nice to learn about how Hershey's is made from the beginning as well as eat some good chocolate treats. I had the chocolate dipped cheesecake slice and triple layer chocolate cheesecake from the bake shoppe and they both were great.

Good time at 4d movie and taste test. Clerk said child was free for taste test but did not receive a taste bag. I would have paid the $6 for a bag for my child. Very rude at check out when i asked for a price check.

Lots of chocolates! Did the factory tour ride, seems like a good place to take the kids for an afternoon. The gift store was huge! The COVID restrictions were well implemented and the staff accommodating. Would recommend!

This was a let down of an event. The staff where snarky and the place was dirty. Essentially it's a giant bulk candy store with regular prices. The two stars are purely for the trolly ride and a few side attractions. The trolly ride was very informative and had a lot of great jokes along the way. Maybe it was just timing but there was an abundance of new teenage workers who acted in the stereotypical teenage way. Won't be bringing the family back anytime soon.

Just before the gates of Hershey Park is like a downtown Disney marketplace for Hershey chocolate themed stuff and some entertainment. Entrance and parking is separate from the theme park so save yourself time and money by following signs for Chocolate World. Fun things to do, see, and buy before, after, or without even going to Hershey Park.

Definitely has some cool activities to do. The Chocolate World ride is free and they give out a sample of chocolate at the end. I usually start and end my Hershey park trip by visiting Chocolate. It can become very crowded, but if you purchase anything the checkout line goes rather quickly.

It was fun and interesting, I feel a little ripped off due to my family and I paying $100 for four candy bars that we couldn't customize the way we would want, having more choices in what we can put into them would be nice, and when someone wants a dark chocolate bar why can't it be dark chocolate instead of a base covered with milk chocolate. Store was nice.

Totally unimpressed with the new format. They slow the line down to photo every group in front of a green screen then try to sell you a photo book after the ride. And the free sample is rarely allergy friendly.

So much candy and Hershey merch! Suggestions: bring insulated cooler and cold packs to keep candy from melting. And visit HCW on the way out of the park to avoid carrying extra baggage.

Nice tour! While in line for tour they will take a group photo or individual one for you and at the end you will have a chance to purchase said photo with other extras added in! Also not to forget they hand out small Hershey bar to everyone at the end of tour! And they sometimes give great deals on the candy! Good place to eat and chill! Great place to take a break from the park and the crowd! Clean restrooms conveniently located by front doors! Ideal spot to pick up any last minute souvenirs and or candy for home! As you walk back to the vehicle! They have a bakery and places to eat! Meet and greet characters for photo opportunity! Hang out in the AC for a spell!

I love coming here. I've been coming since I was a child, now I'm bringing my kids. The Chocolate World ride is a fan favorite followed by either giant cookies or ice cream. Love the selection of unique candies in the shop. Worth a 3-hour free parking trip on a rainy day.

We had a really good time here and left with a belly ache from all the chocolate. Some of the attractions were very expensive and already booked hours in advance. We did the 4D show and trolly ride though and felt like they were a good value. The trolly was the best part due to the tour guides.

So much Hershey merchandise to choose from. Prices weren't too outrageous compared to similar places. We left with s variety of goodies.

Great and fun place for kids and adults. The chocolate tasting is a must for adults. It's like going to a wine tasting but for chocolate. Trolley tour was very interesting and the make your own chocolate bar station was a lot of fun too.

Not as interesting as expected. But there is a amusement park next to it and a museum a few miles away ,would love to see the museum . I love history but I think it is closed and I am out of time.

This was a cool place for us to see on our trip, but Chocolate World is definitely probably a more awesome experience for your kids. It was very easy to walk around and not that busy while we were there. A few of the exhibits were closed, or appeared to be under construction too. The GPS also took us to their corporate office first (which apparently happens often) according to the security officer, or whoever was working the front desk at the Hershey Headquarters. We did get a couple full size candy bars out of it though.

Best selection of Hershey's chocolate and other products. Lots of merchandise. Upgrades to the tour ride over the years have decreased it's quality, plus the lines can be painfully long. Over all, Chocolate World is worth a stop if you're in the area or passing through.
