Peanut butter pie was delicious, soooooo good. Very nice dinner with warm rolls and chocolate butter.
Peanut butter pie was delicious, soooooo good. Very nice dinner with warm rolls and chocolate butter.
Beautiful, clean hotel. Has available Indoor\outdoor pools, mini golf, tennis and basketball courts.
The water park was nice but it wasn't as big as Great Wolf Lodge. The beds were terrible. Any time someone in the room rolled over the bed made a crunching noise and it woke everyone up.
My family visited Hershey Lodge about a week ago and were there for 4 days/3 nights. My reasons for the 2 star review are:
1) It was not made clear that there is a $100 PER night hold placed on your credit/debit card for incidentals. If I hadn't read the fine print in some email I received prior to our stay I would have not known because the lady checking us in did not mention it. I'm assuming the hold would have just been placed. To me, $100 per night is excessive....maybe $100 TOTAL but I digress...
2) It would be nice to have some sort of shuttle service offered to transport guests to/from the main lobby to their room and/or the indoor water park....there was ALOT of walking involved....with no sidewalks.
3) For the price of a STANDARD room with 2 queen beds (a total of $1600 for ONLY 3 nights), the hotel is extremely outdated and could use a total renovation. For that kind of money I would expect alot more modern touches.
4) Speaking of money, the package we purchased was supposed to include one day passes to Hershey Park as well as a "free" breakfast at one of the restaurants in the hotel.....so imagine my astonishment when we go to check out and the breakfast was charged back to our room....luckily I have eagle eyes and noticed the charge otherwise we would have gotten robbed out of our "free" breakfast!
I say all this to say I would not stay at this hotel again and if you do decide to stay here, make sure you watch your bank statements.
Was a great location for an event
Was there for awards ceremony for my sons class of 2019
Then they had a banquet there following the ceremony the food was awsome
Big and nice place. Very spacious rooms and there were many different amenities. The place had a lot of flair and they showcased their brands expertly.
Great place. Went on August 13th, 2020. Everyone was respecting social distancing and wearing masks. The service was great. Everyone was so nice. Only gripe was my bed but my kids slept great so I will look past it. The amount of parking was a plus all around. Rooms were clean. The lodge just makes you feel right at home. Will be back.
Great amenities and the pool was awesome. However we were booked incorrectly. We were supposed to get a suite and instead were place in a regular room. They did offer to move us however. Overall it seems that some on staff didn't know a lot and we received incorrect info to a few of our questions. Hotel is also very sprawling and you will have to walk a LOT if you are not placed near the lobby. We were about as far from the lobby as you could be and had to walk for 15 minutes to get to the pool. If I stayed here again I would request a room closer to the lobby and confirm the suite on check in.
While this is not the first time I've stayed at the Hershey Lodge for a conference, this is the first time there have been some issues. They weren't ready when we arrived, even though we had a specific time to be here that they were aware of. They don't seem ready to host a conference if this size, even though they have hosted for a number of years now. In general, it is a nice hotel with comfortable beds and friendly service.
The Hershey Lodge is a very nice venue. Everyone working there is very pleasant and the rooms are kept nice and clean. Beautiful.
Not worth the price they charge. The room we had was basically a motel room. I believe they do have some rooms that are different and are interior rooms. our door was on the outside like a motel. Getting around the facility is a bit difficult. We had to walk through and around several buildings to reach the water park area. The water park area is small and certainly not for an hour or two of fun but not worth the cost. We have stayed at similar resorts for less money and large rooms. If we were to return to Hershey we would not stay at the lodge again.
Was there for a marriage coference very nice, but didnt stay a hotel because to expencive
Always a classy event. The food is wonderful and the atmosphere is great
We loved this place!! Decent rooms. It has a good size INDOOR water park, and all kinds of activities for kids from Hershey bingo to scavenger hunts. The kids loved it and were wiped out by the end of the night.. oh did I mention they give you free tickets to the Hershey museum and Hershey gardens!! We can't wait to go back..
Beautiful lobby, good internet access in conference rooms
We come to the Hershey Lodge around Christmas time every year. What a great place to stay! Love the staff and the on-site restaurants and shops are fantastic! The new indoor pool area is very nice as well.
Great place to visit. Friendly staff, small gifts at check in, lots of things to see and do at the resort and around the area. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. Would recommend to anyone.
The hotel is in need of refurbishment in the rooms.
We where there a few weeks before Xmas. Wore PJs all weekend. 5 minutes from Hershey Park and the Xmas festival. They offer a free shuttle to it also. Great time.
Very rude staff constantly talking about wages in public area's.
Overall the room was sufficient. Wish there was a microwave, however. Paid extra for cake, balloons, plush characters & card for my husband's birthday. So worth it. It came exactly when I scheduled it to and it was a sweet touch to start the day. The characters should be roaming all day as there are always people coming and going. Food was delicious everywhere. Shuttle buses are so helpful and have the nicest drivers. Will be returning.
I attended a STEM expo for girl scouts. The area was so large that the booths had more than enough room to spread out. With as many people as there was it didn't seem crowded at all. The bathrooms were beautiful, one of our scouts wanted to live in there. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The lodge is great. I would recommend the Bears den for dinner if you have kids. I also stayed close to the pool which was good and bad. Good because I didn't have to take the kids far to get there. Bad because if you are tired from being at Hersey park and want to sleep everyone in the hotel going to and from the pool area walks by your room which is very loud. The lodhe offered transportion to and from Hersey which was about a 10 minute ride. Overall I would stay again.
Hershey Lodge was awesome. Our breakfast wasn t half bad either!!
Stayed in a nice room with two queen beds. Good food especially at Forebay. Excellent food there and great customer service. It's also cool to have a water park inside your hotel plus, hot tub!!
Hello was going to stay at Hershey Lodge but when we pulled up the hotel was not up to par no flowers and weeds and grass not cut
I know it has been strange with Covid 19
But very upsetting to see it Milton Hershey would be rolling in his grave
Decided not to stay
Dirty, the floor was filthy. The bartender upsold our drinks and charged us for something more expensive than we ordered. Oddly the food wasn't bad, service was whatever but overall, I wouldn't go back.
The mattresses in the rooms are ROCK HARD and are very uncomfortable to sleep on. I had a back ache every morning. For the room price they should have very comfortable beds at the least! I had a better room for $75 a night a few miles from the lodge (Knight's Inn)
I connected to the Wi-fi when I went here after looking online and it saying they had so called high speed Wi-fi so i connect I go on YouTube and watch my favorite YouTuber smash iPhones and the internet keeps buffering and I check the speed it s 4mbps my Verizon on the other hand gets around 30-35mbps I only have 75 gb of premium data on my unlimited plan so I was hoping for the so called fast free Wi-fi which u need ur room number so not free Wi-fi was at least enough to watch YouTube very misleading when it says fast free Wi-fi it s not fast nor is it free The room overall is plush that s why I m giving a 2 star rating would give 4 star rating but this building very very dry
Facility and amenities we're nice. Extremely cold temperature wise! The food service was great for our conference and staff were extremely helpful.
The Hershey is more an experience than a stay overnight. There are several restaurants attached, a Hershey themed store, and the indoor water park was of course the star for our 3 year old. Food and drinks all have chocolate themes but luckily you can break from that as needed. The room was in fine shape though loose outlets, some grime in the tub and with our location, lots of hall noise all night raised an eye brow. Overall, you are paying for a stay in Grand chocolate central, and it is worth it. The hotel staff are excellent and all seem to have a smile. Food and drinks are consistently good as well. The indoor water park is a must attend if you have kids, so pack accordingly. Towel checkout is available in the pool area, there is also an arcade and snack bar. My family traveled a lot over the weekend, but we got enough of a feel to say we would go back without hesitation.
I visited for my grandfather's wake. The food (buffet, menu chosen by family) was good, and refilled promptly. The bar service was terrible. Bartender was cold and unfriendly.
The Hershey Lodge provided me with a phenomenal experience! Plenty of friendly staff were about the property and assisted me in making my stay much more pleasant. The food in the lobby's restaurant was pretty good, and bar/patio area was quite nice as well. The 24 hour fitness and pool area was a greatly appreciated bonus on top of everything the Lodge already had to offer!
This place is amazing. The spa is the most penultimate spa experience, and the food is to die for. I feel like I'm Charlie in the chocolate factory, everything smells like chocolate and jolly ranchers.
Spend the extra money and go there, money well spent. First thing we did upon arrival was play miniature golf, then we jumped in the outdoor pool. They have... I think four restaurants within the lodge to chose from.
Then we hit the zoo. Great time. If you have kids you will probably end up at the park. Tip: if youre going to chocolate world, i would drive. If you elect to take the shuttle bus, you may have to wait a little longer.
Hospitality was superb!! From the young men checking your vehicles, registration staff, waitress/ bartender staff and the house cleaning staff definitely exceeded my expectations! Very helpful!
The indoor water park was just what my little dude needed to shake off his winter cabin fever. We had a blast! He even got chocolate milk with his room service breakfast. We had the best time!
Great place, friendly, helpful staff, upscale but not intimidating
Nice scenery inside and out, comfortable, good coffee, good food.
Great resort to chill at when you stay at Hershey for a bit. Our room could be better though
Love the R& B concert every Sept need to bring more shows to the area
Great location ! Beautiful facility. The staff was friendly, helpful, and very well organized. I would highly recommend this motor lodge if you need a place to lodge while visiting Hershey and the surrounding area. The only tiny negatives were the the prices with in the lodge. I imagine this is a norm for most captive audiences seeking something to eat without leaving the lodge. That being said the food was good despite the prices. Hershey is a great place to visit. Dont hesitate to stay here. I was delighted with my accomodations.
We love the Hershey Lodge we stay here all the time when we go to Hershey Park. Great place to bring the family.
Place kept very clean. Stay was very very nice. Person in charge here is to be commended as our 24 person trip might have been ruined if it wasnt for his efforts. Thank you again J.H....
Had a great experience. The staff was very friendly and patient with the number of young people staying there.
Place is stunning, with stunning grounds. Very close to Hershey park and they offer a shuttle service which makes it very convenient. There are plenty of restaurants and food places within the hotel which is a great option. Definitely worth every penny if you are staying here. Service is top notch.
Awesome! Had a fantastic time. Staff, restaurants, & room were great!
Love this place. A town built by chocolate. So much fun.
My fiance and I always look forward to any time we can take a vacation or visit the lodge. We always stay a few nights during the holidays so we can visit Christmas Candylane at the park. Now that the indoor pool is open, there's nothing you can't do all year round. Yes, the restaurants are a bit pricey (as well as the lodge itself), but we come to expect it and it's absolutely worth the price. We are always looking forward to our next romantic getaway at the lodge each Christmas!
I enjoyed my weekend at the Hershey Lodge. Upon check-in I received a Hershey Bar - a tasty bonus. The place is huge! Thankfully parking is generally available near all rooms so it will not require a lengthy walk to arrive to your room. My room was conveniently located near the vending machines. The mattress was comfortable and I slept well. I visited the Lodge bar and enjoyed a tasty specialty cocktail. The cafe made good Hershey-inspired coffee beverages too. Free shuttles are provided to the HersheyPark. My one complaint is the shuttle service to the Hershey Gardens. While no cost to guest, this shuttle service must be coordinated through the Concierge desk. When I made the pick-up time, I also arranged for the return trip at the same time. Getting there was a piece of cake. When it was time to return to the lodge no car showed up at the appointed return time. After 30 minutes of waiting I called the concierge desk to ask about my return trip. I was told the car would be there shortly to pick-up my party. A van finally arrived to return us back to the lodge (45 minutes after the pre-arranged time).
Absolutely stunning inside, HUGE convention rooms. Lovely staff, great restaurants inside. Perfect place for vacationing in Hershey!
Its placed in a good location, many good surrounding restaurants and the hershey's water works is really nice and great for families to go into. Also the in resort restaurants are nice as well as the rooms. Staff was friendly and I wouldnt be surprised if i find myself there again
I have been going to a yearly event at the Lodge for the past 6 years. Every year has been excellent and the organization that hosts does a fantastic job. Delicious food, great service and clean comfortable atmosphere. This year was slightly different. Food was still great, but the structure of events was odd. Still a very accommodating venue.
Excellent meals and service at the Forebay restaurant in
Our local
Hershey Lodge.
Beautiful logistics, room clean nice, hotel staff so so could have been better.
Salvation army event, staff was great and helpful at times. Clean and beautiful building! Thanks for havig
I visited the Hershey Lodge and Convention center for a professional event. I've attended many events here in the past. This is a very nice venue for events. They provide good services and the food is far above any other venue I've been to.
I attended an awards ceremony recently at Hershey Lodge, and found the event to be well organized. The atmosphere of the hall and surrounding lobby was outstanding. The lodge had stores and areas to eat, and a beautiful fireplace area to relax and enjoy your purchases.
Beautiful building with wonderful chandeliers. Its very big and a bit confusing to get around in though
I, my wife and kids stayed 1 night there as we did a day trip to Hershey Park and I wanted to rest up before heading back home. We really enjoyed the small water park area. The lodge was clean. The staff were helpful curtious and friendly. We will be back for longer stays.
My kids and I spent a very nice day and a half at the lodge. The indoor pool, slide and hot tub was refreshingly warm compared to the freezing cold temperature outside. This was on Christmas day and the pool was busy but not overcrowded. The snacks at the pool were reasonably priced and large in quantity. The fireplaces inside the lodge were gorgeous and very welcoming with comfortable seating around them. We enjoyed eating at the restaurants and overall had a great time!
Food good, service quirky. Had a server who kept dropping things. The traffic pattern inside due to ordering kiosks is awful. Order kiosks are a nuisance. Food was prompt albeit haphazardly put together and messy.
My company has two conventions here each year. The staff is great, along with the facilities and food. I've never stayed in the hotel, but from roaming the building, I'm assuming the rooms are great too. There are two places to eat. Forebay is very expensive. The Bear's Den is a sports bar. There's another bar in the lounge, as well as a bakery and gift shop. It is definitely for luxury tourists visiting Hershey.
Nice place, loved the water works, though other facilities like basketball courts were closed, limiting activities
We had dinner and drinks at Fire & Grain. The food was amazing. Friendly service and great chocolate martinis.
Do not show up around check in time. We showed up shortly before, and had to wait more than two hours for a room. Then when asking about it, they were very rude and not helpful.
If the price was reasonable, I would might have given another star. I have stayed in Manhattan for much cheaper and had much nicer, cleaner rooms. The room was very poorly vacuumed and when I went to plug in the headboard light that was unplugged, I was greeted by a seriously thick layer of dust and garbage under the bed. There was a serious lack of storage, especially being that you would assume they understand that you are bringing a family. Only 3 small drawers and a tiny closet with 3 hangars were provided. The closet wasn't even large enough to put the luggage in. They only provided coffee for one person with the coffee maker. The next day we left our room to go the the park just before noon and I stopped back in just after 6pm and the room wasn't made up. I called down and told them and they kind of nastily asked if I had the do not disturb sign up which I did not. When we came back later that evening all they had done was bring some fresh towels. They left the old ones on the floor, the garbage pails were still brimming with trash and NO coffee at all this time. I would hate to imagine what the service would have been liked if I didn't leave a tip. Next time we are just going to rent one of their cabins as we figure it will be about the same level of comfort and a less expensive. I absolutely love Hershey and the actual lodge is beautiful but the rooms stink for the money. I don't mind paying up as long as I get what I am paying for.
Rooms are nice. Lodge had lots of events planned for kids.
We always have our conventions here. I love the atmosphere. Food is great. Staff is very courteous. I look forward to going there every time I get the chance.
I was there for a conference. There are PLENTY of large spaces for many events. There is an indoor pool with lots of slides and games for kids. Arcade, Lego room (my favorite), mini golf outside. The rooms were spacious and nice, with unlimited of hot water and good water pressure. There are 2 bars, one closes around 11, and the other at 2am. Decent food, food prices were ok but the drinks were pretty expensive. Oh and chocolate scented everything, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, even the air smelled chocolatey (it is after all Hershey). The beds and pillows were comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful.
The hotel was great. Offered a wonderful variety if amenities and close to many other Hershey attractions. We ate at the Hershey Bears den and it was a bit over priced for the quality food we received. Water works was fun and had something for all ages. The kids loved the arcade too.
Kids liked the indoor water center. Staff was extremely friendly. Subtracted one star because they gave us incorrect information about the Park, which cost us some time (how can a Hershey property not know the ticket buying rules to its own Park?). Good overall.
Here for a conference! Great space! The lobby smells like chocolate and the staff was great and very accommodating! Lots of great attractions nearby!
Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. .rooms are a little dated and pricey
Just got home from playing an event at the Hershey Lodge. Lil brother ( a musical group) played an event that was hosted by this Lodge and over 400 seats were filled featuring the chocolate ball. Everybody had a good time and all the employees were so helpful and accommodating. If you are a business and hoping to host an event near Hershey PA....this is the place to go! First class accommodations!
Gorgeous facility. Recently went there for an event and was more then impressed with how beautiful the building and grounds are. Workers are very pleasant. We will be considering the Lodge for our next stay when in Hershey.
Went here on a family vacation and had a great time!
Heaven on earth. I swear. Omg I love it. They have everything. 4 restaurants and a water park there alone
Very nicely laid out. Connected to convention center
The facility was beautiful and well organized. Staff were helpful and accommodating. The food was good. Overall a very nice place for a large event.
Not enough parking. Not enough seating at water park. No tables available to eat on. Water extremely cold. Nothing for pre teeners to do. Food wait was awful

This was first and last visit as I felt my daughter has out grown this type of facility. This is a much smaller water park than we expected. I believe 10 and younger appropriate age group. I wasn't impressed with the sanitation around the grounds of the lodge either.
Hershey Lodge seems to be a very nice place it is very fancy and has a comfortable atmosphere. Unfortunately, I did not get to see much of it as I was merely part of a band playing at the beginning of a social event, so I can't really say much more about it.
Visited during the Winter for the water park. Park was okay. Kind of like a small version of Great Wolf. Food and accomodations however were outstanding. Rooms were great and the food was AMAZING. Went to Fire and Grain for a late supper and it was very good. Great service
The only down side was that check in ram very late. We did not get into our room until about 4:30 PM. Staff said this was due to late check outs. They comped us $25 but it was still a downer.
Always a classy place. We'll run and great atmosphere.
My family and I visited in July 2017. We had a relatively dreadful experience. We had traveled from quite a distance so after checking in we needed to use the bathroom. Come to find out the toilet hadn't been cleaned. It was full of urine from previous guests. I was disturbed to say the least. I just decided to flush it and move along since my 5 year old was begging to use the bathroom. We notified housekeeping and she came and cleaned the toilet. We also noticed small pieces of garbage and lint all over the carpet near the beds, but I didn't want to ask housekeeping back again so I let it go. So, after visiting the indoor water park we came back to shower. Then I proceeded to see dirty linens piled up on the shower curtain, that were not ours. So, I called the front desk to inform them of the situation. Two women from housekeeping came and were pleasant but didn't really take my concerns too seriously. They said that "It's a good sign there are clean linens hanging in the bathroom". As though somehow that would change the fact that the rest of the bathroom and room was unacceptable. I felt gross being in that room and could not wait to leave the hotel. They offered nothing, not another room, no discount, no nothing. When I stay at a hotel I expect it to be clean at the very least. I did contact Hershey Lodge customer services upon returning home. They received my email and said they would get back to me, well here I am 5 months later with no response. It was unprofessional and unacceptable. I know they pride themselves on customer satisfaction, but they truly failed on this occasion.
We had dinner at fire and train. Food and server heather were both great. Can't wait to go back again.
Nice rooms. Several good restaurants. Ample parking. Lots of activities.
Family life todays, Weekend to remember getaway. Wonderful place to be.
