The hotel is grounded in history. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful, the size of the hotel (big, but not crowded and busy) and the amenities, make it easy to relax. Of all the hotels across the US that we visited this year, this was one of our most memorable stays. If you do visit, be sure to watch the Hershey Story, available on the room TV, to fully appreciate the hotel and the surroundings. The convention facilities are also superb. This hotel IS EXPENSIVE, but not overpriced. This is one of the few times the extra price may be worth it. If you explore the Hershey story, you realize that quality is an essential feature of everything "Hershey" and this hotel is one example of that philosophy. DO NOT miss the Hershey Gardens which are right across the street. It is an easy walk from the hotel, and worth it.

Just checked in with my family. Was denied entry to the pool beause they were at capacity. The only reason why I booked this hotel in the first place. My children have been very excited to come here and use their pool, to only be disappointed and heart broken that we can not use it due to political games. I would never come here again . If I knew this ahead of time , I would have never wasted my money and went elsewhere.

we got a room by the pool because it was the only one left. the room smelled like chlorine (really bad, like our eyes were burning) and we were woken up very early by other guest in using the pool. the room was gross and had mold. The only thing I can say is the staff was excellent and the hot chocolate was also very good.

Our stay here for 5 days was nice. The staff was very courteous, the room was comfortable, clean and well kept. The grounds are beautiful and the food was good to great depending on where you ate. Trevi 5 was amazing and everything else was good. The only disappointment was the bed, it was extremely uncomfortable and because of that reason, I wont be returning. It made our stay less than pleasurable.

This was our 4th time staying there and it never fails to blow us away. They do it right. Everyone can't wait to go out of their way to help you. Grab some chocolates at the concierge anytime, shuttles , ask for anything and they will help you / get it for you. Food and service is fantastic. Luxurious. Picture is bad but only 1 I took, view from hotel, usually much better , overlooks all of Hershey. My kids are wildly nostalgic for this place. Great family experience. Would be better if price a little lower.

We stay here every year. A little $$$$ compared to the other places in the area, but they give you a 5 star experience for the price. The breakfast is off the hook! My kids want to stay there just for that alone.

Overall it s a lovely facility. I m big on cleanliness, however, and when we arrived the woman s restrooms by the lobby was so dirty. There are 3 stalls. I checked two and they were filthy and smelled awful. I didn t bother to check the 3rd. When I went back out to meet my husband he told me he didn t even use the men s restroom because they were clogged. That s so gross. Then when we got to our room we had a package that delivered strawberries and when I went to put these in the fridge the refrigerator was also dirty with some orangish scum. I also played a order for room service to deliver some tea to me in the Monday morning and this order never arrived. So that w las disappointing since I m a loyal morning tea drinker. But we had breakfast at the circular which was absolutely delicious. Our server was kind. Later we asked Jim and Frits, two different chauffeurs Two different times for rides and they were both so helpful, knowledgeable and welcoming. They were one of the staff members with we got to interact with the most. I would like to try the hotel again someday but my expectations for cleanliness were not there at all which is why I can t give the hotel 5 stars.

I made this reservation after a recommendation fro...

I made this reservation after a recommendation from a friend. My husband and I are celebrating our anniversary. Since a lot of hotels are not open with many amenities I was pleasantly surprised that the pool was open. The outdoor pool area is opened with precautions and signs you can see in the photos. Please note restroom photos were only taken with no guests in the rooms and only to reflect the cleanliness level.
Upon making my reservation I called to confirm that the outdoor pool was open and if I was able to check in at 3pm. Note: checkin for the hotel Hershey is 4pm. They stated on the phone that they would be able to accommodate that however upon arriving we were not able to get into the room until 4pm. This was absolutely fine and I did not factor this into the review just because they are cleaning and inspecting every room very meticulously. Upon check in you are given chocolate which is great. The two options were dark or milk chocolate. Yum!
The room itself was a deluxe king. The details of the room can be found on their website but I will give an overview. We were on the 3rd floor. The room itself is very clean and nothing out of place. There is a keruig maker with 6 kcups. (2 of each flavor ). A safe and a mini fridge. More photos of the room can be seen below of the room. Nice samples from the spa. The bed itself is very big. The room is a 5/5. We ordered room service for dinner and I will add to this review after checkout. We are contemplating adding another day to our stay.

Update 9pm : dinner was 5/5. Only thing was there was a price difference from when I calculated it in room vs when it arrived and what the receipt said. Also it didn t mention strawberries on the menu with the chocolate cake. I m allergic so I just handed it over to my husband. Still fabulous nonetheless. We forgot our toothbrushes and housekeeping quickly ran up a set. The first bag they gave us had a shaving kit and luckily they realized we said toothbrush so it quickly was corrected. I will note all the housekeeping staff/ room service staff were SO POLITE and FRIENDLY. They get 5/5.

Update 2 11am: I really really wish we could have stayed a second night. We had planned on it but that was before I slept in the bed. I could not sleep at all. The beds are very soft and I m use to a firmer bed. My husband on the other hand slept no problem. I will add that I am about 5 months pregnant. So it s not that unusual for me not to be comfy. I just wish I could have slept better otherwise I would still be there. We ordered room service and it was great. The portions were big, only thing was that I had pancakes and they didn t come with any sides which seemed odd. My husband had eggs Benedict and they came with tiny potatoes. I ll attach photos below. Again it s not a criticism as you can easily add on bacon and other items.
I utilized the tub this morning and I will say that soap is AMAZING. The spa wasn t opened during our stay but when we return we will definitely utilize it. I d love to get a prenatal massage.

Constructive Feedback: So it wasn t until I got home and sat down to finish the review I noted something. There was an advertisement on their webpage about a stay in June for $199. We paid more than that rate but I m not finding a reason why. It s not a big deal but it seems when I booked that price should have been the price. I think next time I will book over the phone. Another point of feedback would be the checkin staff. So there were someone getting checked in next to us. The check in attendant was very very personable and colorful and just overall friendly. Ours was very dry and didn t seem to engaged. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and I would have loved to have that excellent service everyone speaks of. He just came off like he was at the end of his shift and tired. I can relate to that but at the same time it s a hospitality business. Another note is the HIKE you take to get to the outdoor pool. I m not sure what room I should have picked but I wish I was closer.

The Hotel Hershey is a beautiful historic building. The inside has a Spanish theme. The restaurants in the hotel are fabulous. Trevi 5 is an Italian restaurant where most items only have 5 ingredients. The Harvest Room has great steaks. The Circular Dinning room has an amazing Sunday brunch.

Friendly staff and exceptional stay! Loved the spa and history of the space. Even the maintenance people had some awesome stories about Milton Hersey. Great memory, even if the hotel feels older, it's got character!

This place is very accommodating and definitely worth the stay. The hotel grounds are vast, allowing you to truly take in the beauty of the area. Various restaurants and lounging areas for you to gather with a group or to just sit and have some quality alone time. Live music as well as inviting atmosphere made it the perfect place to start and end an event filled day in the Hershey/ Harrisburg area. Did not prioritize the day for time to go to the spa but the rest of the hotel was beautiful.

My wife and I visit the hotel every year for our anniversary. The cottages are incredible. This year we stayed in one of the standard rooms. They are very small compared to today's normal room but it was built in the 30s so it's part of the charm. The restaurants and other amenities are outstanding and you won't find better staff anywhere.

We stayed overnight for our anniversary. Extremely clean, beautiful, very helpful staff! The pool was warm and very clean and very pretty. The food was delicious! I happened to mention to the staff when I checked in that it was our 43rd anniversary and we came back to our room later that evening and found a beautiful plate of chocolate covered strawberries with Happy 43rd anniversary written in chocolate.

Company/People Praise: Hotel Hershey, Hershey PA
WOW! From the time I first entered this fabulous hotel to the time to I left, I was treated like royalty. I was at the hotel attending a Comcast Leadership Conference. The food in their restaurant was delicious, served by pleasant and professional servers, the restrooms elegant and clean...what more can I say...other than it was by far a most enjoyable visit for me at the hotel and I would certainly visit there again or stay there and highly recommend it to one and all visiting Hershey PA.

The Hotel Hershey is a lovely hotel...the staff is friendly and accommodating. My last stay was less than stellar. There was a wedding reception in the main ballroom which was very near my room....I could hear the music, the guests, an intoxicated woman being scolded by her significant other for losing her shoes. The event wrapped up around 11pm and I thought things would get quiet. I was wrong....the staff began converting the ballroom over for the breakfast with Santa for the next morning. Tables and chairs were being banged around. It was not a good night's sleep for me.

I stayed overnight with a friend and, in a word the experience was MAGICAL. Every single detail about the experience was gorgeous, from the full-sized complementary chocolate bar, to the attentive staff, to the room itself. I had the most delicious breakfast at The Circular, browsed though some of the shops, and took a dip in the pool. I would absolutely recommend it to a friend, and can't wait until o can stay there again!

The class of Hershey Park and a historical gem. A little pricey, but a worthwhile experience and lifetime memory. Cleanliness was impeccable, shops stores and coffee shop on prem, indoor/outdoor pools and 'free' shuttle to Hershey Park.

My girlfriends and I have been coming ro Hotel Hershey for our annual Momcation trip. We stay 2 nights at the hotel and enjoy the property so much! For the first time last year, we visited off property and over to chocolate land. Our favorite parts of the visit are the Spa and the Breakfast buffet at the Circular, specifically the best mini Waffles I have ever tasted. We're due back for another visit in March, and we cant wait!

This review mirrors the Hershey Spa review as they are in the same building. Excellent, if pricey, experience. While the rooms are smaller than more modern hotels they are comfortable with nice beds and baths. The ground are nice and the spa services are quite good. Everyone had the kind of professionalism and politeness you would expect. The in-house restaurant and bar have good selections and pleasant staff - I recommend skipping dinner to just sample whiskey and bourbon work dessert. Overall a great luxury experience at (expected) luxury prices.

Came here for a company event and it was absolutely beautiful. It is in such a relaxing part of the city and you can just enjoy the nice weather, gardens, building, and overall experience. It s an older hotel, but it s grand. The food and drinks that were all included were all fantastic as well.

Great Hotel, lots of stuff to do in and around. Lots of different levels of accommodation. I was disappointed in the room however. For the price we paid I would have expected better. The air conditioner was old and the cover rusted, on top of that there was a jury-rigged set up to push the air around the room. Also the bathroom was quite small, felt very European in that regard, and some of the wallpaper was coming off the walls. You have lots of opportunities for dining, the hotel grounds are sprawling and wonderful, the staff is incredible for the most part. Overall a very fun time with lots of stuff to do, but for the cost of the room, it was a bit disappointing.

The hotel and grounds are beautiful and the staff are very helpful. I was there to help run a staff Christmas party and everything went off without a hitch. The staff were great and the hotel looked very festive. The deserts were sweet and indulgent as well. The only thing I would say that could use improvement would be the main food course, while good, was nothing memorable. However the majority of the experience at Hotel Hershey was great and I would recommend it!

Nice.. But

Nice.. But
The front desk welcomes you in an up scale sort of way. Workers greet you kindly in the halls. Room service started our phone call by loudly clearing her throat then proceeded to make me feel like I was placing an order at McDonald's. It's winter, but AC is broke and my room is about 78 degrees. I thought I'd be OK after being told maintenance can't fix it tonight. I was wrong. 3:30 AM and I'm writing this. Unable to sleep. I was hoping for the four star experience in the brochure. A bit let down. But it's a nice place.

The grounds were georgous, the wait staff was excellent, the Onsite amenities made you not want to leave the resort. The location was a little tricky to find at first so follow the signs and GPS navigation. The rooms are typical rooms but the beds are very comfortable.

The Hotel Hershey is a must! We went there during Christmas and it was decorated so beautifully it was amazing. We stayed in the room over looking the pool with the balcony so it was nice to be able to swim during winter and watch the kids play. The restaurants at the hotel is unbelievable! Especially the breakfast buffet they have so many varieties and breakfast options. We even got tickets to the children s museum for staying at the hotel.

I was here for a work conference and it was a pretty nice experience. Lobby's were nice and the waterfall in the main lobby was soothing. The restrooms on the second floor balcony were small. Outside deck was amazing and fire pit was a nice touch! All in all it was a great experience even if it was business related!

Amazing staff, services and facilities. Enjoyed a three day stay and never left for the park because it was so lovely. Walking distance to the BEAUTIFUL gardens and Butterfly Atrium. Multiple restaurants on site including classic American fare, Italian, farm to table. The breakfast buffet at the circular is a must! Order drinks and hang out in the lounge, one of the many pills or gardens. Can't wait to return (possibly later this summer!)!

I don t think it s possible to say enough wonderful things to truly describe this place. The staff go above and beyond in making you feel comfortable, luxurious, welcome and, dare I say it, loved. The selection of restaurants, the activities, the amenities, the spa, the shops, the pools The grounds are simply incredible, and you could spend days and days just taking this place in. And quite frankly, I know Hersheypark is right there, but the Hotel Hershey is an attraction in itself. It is a little pricey, but not unreasonably so, especially when you consider all the luxury that is included for the price. Staying here is truly one of the great pleasures of my life, and I cannot wait to be there again. Oh, and full-size chocolate bars at the front desk all the time!

Lovely, historic hotel compromised by luxury pricing that sets expectations way beyond what the property and staff delivered during our stay. The decor in public spaces takes you back to a time passed that left us feeling a bit out of step with a luxury resort satisfying guests today. Thankfully, the room furniture and decor is thoughtful and blends modern convenience with historic relevance. Service staff seemed to lack energy, enthusiasm and refined professionalism that may have been caused by closure for several months during early stage pandemic response. However, since reopening 3 months prior, I can only offer the counterintuitive explanation that service improves with occupancy greater than the 25-50% during our stay in September 2020. Fine dining was not possible, despite the menu pricing and extravagant chef's description at the Italian Trevi 5 off the Mezzanine above the lobby. While the well-intentioned service at breakfast in the grand Circular Restaurant was simplified for health protocols, the food offering lacked inspiration and could be had at any 3-4 star hotel in the world. Food protectively served from chafing dishes rested too long after coming out from the kitchen. Breakfast potatoes were dry and hard to the teeth. French Toast light and fluffy was soggy from moisture without taste.

4am Loud Sex in the Next Room

4am Loud Sex in the Next Room

The absolute worst!

I was willing to overlook the noisy fridge, the bathtub that dripped all night long and the lingering smell of cigarettes.

I will never forget the loud moans and screams at 4am from the room next door though! I called the front desk, but nothing changed. So I went to the front desk and got laughed at! I was offered ear plugs and told we would work it out in the morning.

I didn't sleep because of the noises next door (screaming, spanking, etc.) and in the morning I went to the front desk again. They were just as unhelpful as before, refused a refund and refused to let me speak to a manager. What the hell?!?!?

I will never ever stay here again, but you should feel very safe to have loud sex here all night long without being interrupted by hotel staff.

Room Tip: If you want a good room go to a different hotel
