This place is a local landmark. While it's a little pricey, it's reasonable for the quality, portions, atmosphere, and service. Good mixed drink selection and fair draft selection. Dogs are allowed outside, so bring fido

Great service. Great meal. First time my wife and I had been out since Covid. We felt comfortable, safe, and well attended. Couldn t recommend it more. Thanks!
Have gift card for $50. Read reviews and noticed that a lot of people complained about gift cards without expiration date would not be honored. Called in advance, gave gift card number and was told no value to card.
Monday night was great! Thoroughly enjoyed the bluegrass music, and our waitress Angela was fantastic! I am afraid we were quite demanding and she just smiled and accomplished what we needed.
Manor tavern is honestly one of the very best restaurants I have ever been to. It is not extravagant, but it is nice. The food is great, but more importantly, consistent.
The atmosphere is a mixture of locals, passers-through, and some hoighty- toighty people. It's a homey atmosphere.
Outdoor seating with full menu on the terrace. Beautiful setup, well spaced tables. Fully wearing masks for all the staff and people not seated at their tables. Food was delicious as the pictures show. Different time but still excellent experience.
I had a birthday luncheon in the Saddle Room, and everything was perfect. The week prior had been hectic, and plans had to be changed at the last moment. Terry, the banquet manager, was great - always cheerful, always helpful. The prime rib was delicious, and everyone loved the tortellini and the chicken. There was a fireplace had a nice fire, and the two servers were perfect: attentive without being intrusive. On a cold day, the room was warm and inviting. Because some of my family were unable to come due to a last-minute crisis, I'm planning a second one for them later in the month. I can't think of a nicer place, and its location in the country makes it easy (traffic-free) to get there, and parking is convenient, easy, and free. To me, The Manor Tavern lacks nothing.
We went to the Manor Tavern on Wednesday, December 18. The last time we went, I got fried green tomatoes. They were AMAZINGLY great! Loaded with crab meat. The absolute BEST EVER. This time: Not much crab meat if any. The others at our table were very happy with their dinners. I'm wondering if my platter was served before the chef was finished. Those tomatoes were soooo great the first time.
Great menu, service, and ambiance. My appetizer, steamed mussels, was amazing. My dinner, crab and spinach orzo with scallops, tasted under seasoned to me and was a bit bland, although the scallops were cooked to perfection.
Every time we are here we get a warm welcome from Jerry. The food is amazing. With the local flair mixed with the international flair of the spices from the world trade the food in the atmosphere works a definite place you would want to visit when you want to see the old tradition mixed with a new tradition.
Food is absolutely delicious and our server Alina was exceptional! Plus Mia the hostess even helped me out by giving me a ponytail tie. Maybe a small gesture of kindness but to have both great food and service is absolutely amazing!!!
Charming and quaint establishment with scrumptious comfort food. Staff were highly attentive, and graciously worked with the kitchen to offer us items from the lunch menu before the cutoff time. The food was hit across our group of varied pallets. The Cream of Crab soup was among the best I've ever tasted. Highly recommended!
Thanksgiving dinner for 13 including 2 with reduced mobility. The buffet is perfectly acceptable, service was very friendly. Altogether as good as it gets for a big family Thanksgiving if you can't or don't want to do it at home.
My husband and I came in after a ridiculously hectic day starving and ready to kill a bottle of bottle wine. We were so pleased to be greeted with a smile and in the company of such a knowledgeable bartender! Angela gave us a complete rundown (off the top of her head) of the wine list and the menu, she mentioned which were her favorites. We choose the Iron Horse, Pinot Noir...Absolutely incredible! For dinner we got the Crab and Spinach Orzo and the Filet. Everything was so amazing! We stayed for a few of the best martinis we've ever tasted! Thank you Manor Tavern for doing it right! Great food, awesome staff and overall excellent experience! 5 Stars!
Was our first in tonight. Was for a graduation party. The food was delicious and the wait staff was super friendly and very attentive. I will be back to try dinner soon.
They try to be really nice and I commend them but take note from Cunninghams and Woodberry, quality is better than quality. People want clean, farm to table. Gordon Ramsay says decrease your menu options and increase quality!
Fine Dining in Beautiful Horse Country!! This is a lovely, time-tested venue for special occasions. Visit the bar for more casual fare. Great outdoor dining on the large porch.
Poor Reception. Need a more professional Hostess. Need a more informed Hostess. Hostess and seaters look like they dressed from Goodwill. If guests have reservations and are 30 to 60 minutes late, Give Up The Tables! Food Good. Service Great.
We were there for the Thanksgiving holiday buffet. It was good but not spectacular. It was heavy on the glutens and carbs, not as much on the flavor. The prime rib wasn't as rare as I would have preferred and the Turkey had little flavor.
Good service at a kind of a funky table in the bar. We would go back, but definitely request a different table.
Where to begin? Everyone tells you, something always goes wrong on your wedding day, but our wedding day was absolutely perfect -- in large part to Manor Tavern s catering. Terry worked with us from the very beginning to understand our vibe and theme and create something better than we could have imagined. Catering an outdoor wedding with no kitchen on site is not easy, but the food was spectacular -- especially the crab balls. More impressive was the service day of. The team was so pleasant and created a beautiful display for our fancy picnic theme on our cousin s farm. The team all looked great in crisp plaid shirts and jeans matching our laid back feel. Though we never actually went up to the bar, my husband and I were never without a drink in our hands. Several guests came up to us at the end of the night saying it was the best wedding they ve ever been to and how impressed they were with the entire catering staff. The day after, we were overjoyed to see that the staff had cleaned everything up allowing us to take it easy. If we ever have an event in the area again, using Manor Tavern is a no-brainer. (We also enjoyed stopping by the restaurant for lunch and dinner during all the months of prep.)
Friendly staff. Nice band and food was fantastic.we had dinner at a open tent and table were 6 feet apart. Employees were mask and mask are required if you leave desk.
My wife and I have been going to The Manor Tavern for many years. The location, the atmosphere, and the food are all excellent. We went there again last week and had a great experience as usual. The staff and management are friendly and accommodating and everything was just right!
Celebrated our 44th wedding anniversary at the Manor Tavern - dinner for two, table near the fireplace. Wonderful food, excellent waitstaff and our waitress Dee was the best! Can't go wrong here. Chef George Batlas is a master of the culinary craft.
The new outdoor venue was a great experience with the plenty of outdoor seating, bocce ball, and corn hole. The Smash Burger and Short Ribs come highly recommended.
Took my 93 year old in-laws for brunch on Father's day and we all enjoyed the food. We chose to eat outside under the terrace and the ceiling fans provided a cooling breeze. It was the first time my father in-law had an omelet with crab meat and said he would get it again, absolutely delicious. We love going there, not only for the food but the calming atmosphere.
Came in with my father for an early dinner one weekday last fall. We were greeted by the young female hostess that was as pleasant as she was attractive. Then she had us follow the male host to our table, outside (which we had requested) but then when we got there I saw it was deserted so I asked to instead sit inside. He rolled his eyes and did the body language equivalent of "you stupid idiot make up your mind!" It was unmistakable, I had to ask "Is that a problem?". He gave me a purposely fake "whatever" smile and brought us inside. My father and I could not believe it. It was as if I reminded him of someone that beat him up for being gay. Or maybe we didn't look GQ enough. I could care less about someone's orientation and I was in no way disrespectful, but the managers should know they hired this guy with a big attitude or moody at best, that would attempt to drag a couple of patrons into his little temper problem.
Love the Gumbo. My lady friend had chicken quesadilla that was on the dry side. Our waiter Michael quickly replaced it. The desserts we're decadent. I had the bread pudding and loved it.
I went here with a special friend after taking a walk along Gun Powder Falls. The food here is really, really good. Like "frown your face up while you're eating it" good. My friend had the crab soup, which is topped with a decent handful of loose crabmeat on top of the meat that's already in the soup. I had a seafood pasta primavera, which was good except the pasta was undercooked. No matter, the fixed it graciously and it was delicious. The staff was great, our waiter funny and the hostess delightful. I would go out of my way to eat here again.
If you enjoy food, you'll enjoy this venue. Plus they have awesome cocktails!
April 2019 This is still one of my favorite places to dine during the summer because of the spectacular food, outdoor seating, and first class service! A true foodies delight!!!
Highly recommend the Lean and Low! Scallops just melt in your mouth!
We love this local farm to table spot. The atmosphere is really nice and the staff are super friendly. The food is always really incredible, adn the menu switches often to keep in season. I highly recommend!
Exquisite. Only came here once and it's worth every star. We'll come back again and I'll add to this review. Great place to go on a date. Delicious cocktails!
If you know the area then you have definitely heard of The Tavern , so if your unfamilar but are around take sometime to yourself and enjoy a great meal , maybe even share a drink with new found friends.
Poor place for anyone handicapped. They put us on the porch. Had to go out side to get there due to only steps to get there. We had someone with a scooter due to a recent surgery with us. They crammed us on a table that was way too small. We had to ask for a bigger table.
Sat in the bar for a mid day Sunday meal. Great brunch selection, shrimp and goat cheese frittata was excellent. Crab Omelet was also delicious. Nice atmosphere, great service and good tunes playing in the bar. Enjoyed it.
Food was good, but overpriced. Service was horrible. Worst waitress ever. She didn t take my husband s severe black pepper allergy seriously. He ordered a burger, no seasoning, with bacon and grilled onions and chips as the side. Our meals took a good 40 minutes to come out even though they weren t busy. Then he gets his plate and they forgot the onions and his whole plate (burger and bun) was covered in black pepper from the chips (she never told us the chips were seasoned with pepper). Before handing the plate back to her, my husband marked the bun just to see if they would actually switch it out. We waited another 20-30 minutes and they bring a new plate...same pepper covered bun and not at all how he ordered his original burger. We asked for the manager and got the lamest apology and he only offered a free dessert. My husband could have gotten violently ill and went into anaphylaxis, but they didn t care. Needless to say we left because we had already waited soooo long. Waitress got the tip she deserved and we won t be going back.
Great food, nice atmosphere. Went here for dinner with 2 small children, service was very prompt at first with greeting, getting drinks and even food arriving. Then after the meal it dragged on and on, waiting for plates to be cleared, waiting on another drink, then finally had to skip dessert because our kids were getting restless just sitting around at the table. This happened at another local restaurant and we just don't go back there anymore, upset children are no fun. I would still return to Manor Tavern though.
