Been going to Hershey Lodge every year since my Daughter was born 11 years ago. We always have a great time. In 2018 we went in December and they had Santa come on a Fire Truck for the first time. How can you go wrong with Santa and a chocolate martini!!!!

Beautiful place to stay. Front desk, as well as the rest of the staff are extremely helpful and great to be around. Rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. Bathroom is larger than most. Highly recommend staying here if you're in the area

As soon as you check in, you receive full size Hershey bars.. The lobby smells so sweet, and the lotion in the bathroom smells like cocoa powder..inside pool was very fun! Fire grill was expensive but food was delicious. Bear's Den food was great and very reasonable!! Great experience!

I went to the Hershey Lodge for a conference. The food was great! There rooms were set up pretty well. Some rooms don't have many electrical outlets but there seemed to be enough for our conference because people weren't actively using their computers the whole time. I'm not sure if they might have other tables or power drops if you anticipate needing more access for attendees. Restrooms were large and clean. Even though there was more than one conference, there was never a line. It seemed like there was plenty of parking.

Room smelled of mildew, but it was clean. Restaurants at the resort were all pretty good - we tried all of them during our 4-day stay. Hard to find room because of the layout and no good maps. Parking was okay.

I am enjoying my stay here. There are alot of things for kids to enjoy here. There is a basket ball court, a swimming pool with alot of things to do for the kids, also a mini golf. Like the sweet smell of chocolate when u enter the hotel. There shampoos and stuff smell like chocolate too. Having fun here. I would highly recommend staying here.

We and the absolute best time the one night we started at the lodge. The staff were friendly, the room was clean, and the indoor water park was amazing! Not only did we have a blast at the water park, there were even activities through the day to keep kiddos busy and having fun! It s nice to see a hotel that is so welcoming if children but still has the nice adult-centered areas as well.

Hershey Lodge has very comfortable beds, very polite and accomodating custmer service, a spacious and welcoming lobby. An indoor water park complete with snack bar and a little arcade is perfect for keeping the children entertained. Transportation to Hershey Park is provided.

Would give 5 stars except for the horrible service experienced at 2 of the bars within the lodge. Bartenders were extremely rude. Management handled the situation well giving us a credit for our appetizers and drinks but we were shocked as a bartender literally threw our food down because we asked for extra plates. Conciergee and room service have been fantastic. Shuttle service runs constantly to and from the park and the drivers are extremely courteous and knowledgeable. The floor plan is a little confusing but you get used to it. Indoor pool area is great for taking a break from the park.

This Lodge is beautiful , hallways are a bit to long and the hotel is huge , you actually can get lost in it! I big mix up upon check in , rooms were not conjoined . So we got moved much further away from everything in the lobby. We were suppose to get the Tower , but that fell through one was in the tower one was not . The reservation manager did get in touch with me the very next day and did give me and adjustment on my rooms. The Water Works for the kids is fantastic !! And The Bears Den a double bonus, the shuttle is great but beware if there is a concert going on it will take about 45 to 50 minutes to get to the park due to traffic . That was a downfall...other than that the mini golf was a hit with the kids will definitely make a trip back soon !!!

The concierge was friendly but the welcome desk crew was straight faced and not welcoming. Three lifeguards questioned my daughter and I in the hot tub even tho she measures over the height (same ht as me). The water park is small, but better than just a pool. So it's great for littles. The Bear Den food was excellent. Server was not friendly at all. The only happy people seemed to be the bar tenders. The room was fine, bed was stiff. Chocolate scented toiletries are a fun thing. I'd suggest a staff morale boost and some basic guest experience leadership.

Expensive but, so many things make it worth it. They have an amazing water park that is enclosed. We use it after checking out from our trip and play in the pool and slides for a few hours before the drive home. They have falconry and bring live birds in for Q&A time, several good restaurants and a shuttle to and from the amusement park itself and an extra hour of time for hotel guests from 9-10 am. The chocolate martinis are various yummy.

I've been to Hershey every summer since I was a child. Four years ago I started coming for seminars hosted at the lodge. It's just as amazing as the going to the park was. The conference was great, the food was amazing and service was the best I've received. Nothing but great experiences in Hershey, PA.

Our stay here was wonderful. The main reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that the food at the lodge is just ok. The breakfast buffet in Fire and Grain is worth the stop though! They offer a buffet as well as omelettes (included in the buffet price).

One other item of note is that the game room near the pool features a ticket reward system that enables you to "earn" (buy) toys. Some of these games (in my opinion) are just gambling: they have a wheel (think Wheel of Fortune) you can spin and win points based on where it stops and they have a claw machine with toys stuffed in the container so tightly the claw can't pull them out--- NOT fair!

Stayed at a governors suite, such a huge room for 4. It really makes it more relaxing with more space. The lobby is great but always full of people. Parking is sufficient but you have to walk a little bit if you arrive late.

This review would be 0 stars if it was possible. We stayed at the lodge for the Hershey Half-Marathon and paid $400 for a room for one night, which is more than we paid at Disney Land for a two room suite in Epcot. The Hershey room was low quality and extremely small, you had to turn sideways to get between the bed and the TV stand. The furniture was older and well used. Maintenance was working on the shower when we walked in the room and he snapped at us telling us that we were not supposed to be there because they were not done. We told him they checked us in and he gruffly said that they should never have given us the room (it was 4 PM). We left the room so he could finish working on the shower. Our stay included shuttle service to and from the race, but it was a disaster. The desk clerk, the concierge, nor the bus driver knew when or where the shuttle was going to be. BTW - it was cold and raining the entire time. The shuttle to the race was advertised to begin at 5:30 AM, and we were in line with several others at 5:20 AM, but the first shuttle did not show up until 6 AM. After the race, (13.1 miles), we contacted the lodge several times to find out where the return shuttle was and was told to go to the Chocolate store. We waited there for about 45 minutes and was joined by 15 more runners who were also told to wait there. After several more calls to the lodge, we were told to go to two other spots and after almost 2 hours of waiting a "spouse" found out that the shuttles were on the other side of the stadium. When we finally returned, the entire group of 15 ask to talk to the manager who was down-right nasty to us. He immediately stated that the shuttle was late because the marathon ran late (not true) then he raised his voice snapping at us (keep in mind that we were tired, frozen and soaking wet from waiting two hours for this shuttle) and he said he would 'only' talk to 'one' person. He simply did not care that we were left out in the cold rain for two hours with some of the runners muscles tightening. The lodge's check out time is at 11:00 and the late check out charge is half the room rate. Had we been picked up on time, we would have been back at the lodge shortly after 9:30, with plenty of time to shower and check out on time. While he waved the late check out charge, it was not for us, he did it for everyone staying in the lodge to include those who were not involved in the marathon. The entire staff was grouchy and snapping at us (all the others who were stuck waiting on the shuttle with us said the same thing), the room was sub-par, and the manager treated us reprehensibly. Also, because of the 2 hour shuttle delay, we were unable to use our tickets to another attraction (loss of around $45). We won't be returning to Hershey.

Nice place to stay. Buses to the park were a great touch. Only negative was having to pay for wireless service. Free for email and basic web browsing but a fee for YouTube and other premium web services.

This is a great place to stay when visiting Hershey with children. We stayed for 3 nights in a suite. They had a basket full of goodies upon entering the room. The couch that turned into a bed was ok but the suite had a lot of space for our family of 5. The bathroom lock did not work which was a bit annoying. The hallway entrance outside of our room smelled heavily like mildew but I suspect although I did not confirm there was likely an issue when everything flooded the week before. The second night there was a family in the room next to us that came back late and the screaming kids and loud banging woke us all up because the walls are paper thin. However, I am sure the fact my kids woke up early the next day did not help them sleep. Because it is family friendly place and there are children, it happens to all of us at one point or another so you need some degree of patience which we had. All of the staff at the hotel were very friendly and were willing to help in any way whether it be getting directions, extra blankets, finding a restaurant, etc. The shuttles run every 10 minutes to Hershey. This allowed us to leave when we had enough and go back when we were ready. The food at the hotel was good and reasonably priced. However, we did not use the indoor pool in the evening because other people who were leaving said the water was very cold. When we had down time we went exploring to Echo Dell Caverns and the Hershey Museum. The Turkey Hill Experience is 35 minutes away so we did that on the way. All in all I think it is a great family friendly place to stay. The hotel decor could use some updating though.

Hershey Grill @ Hershey Lodge. A bit noisy if crowded. Check out the fountain area (& benches in good weather) outside beside their outdoor cafe section. Good food, good adult beverages, good service. Chocolate Kiss Martini's a favorite, Bloody Mary tasty.

Very nice hotel with clean rooms and friendly staff. Nice dining options in house, shuttles to Hershey Park, and the water works pool were all plusses. It's not cheap, but nothing is when you're on vacation with the family. Only things keeping it from five stars are the price and the layout (place is massive...mile long round trip walk to the pool and lobby from the room gets tough with little kids).
Overall it was a nice place and we'd gladly stay there again.

The staff were very kind and helpful! I have food allergies and when I I quoted about our dinner, they were quick to respond and very kind about the situation, even though I was there for a work co defence with 900 other people! It was a beautiful hotel and I'd be interested in booking a room sometime

When my wife and I took a weekend trip to Hershey, we wanted to stay somewhere that felt like an experience, and the Hershey Lodge met every expectation. The facilities are beautiful, clean, and cozy (especially the fireplace in the lobby). The indoor waterpark(!) is amazing, the staff are all so courteous and helpful, the rooms have everything you can ask for, and you get free chocolate for any reason or no reason at all. We will definitely be booking further stays here in the future.

I was here for a company event. We ended up staying over night as well. The event was wonderful (great Christmas atmosphere and food), bars were great for late night hangouts, and the indoor pool was good for a quick swim. Staff was friendly and made things efficient. Room was clean and comfy.

I would rate them very high on cleanliness but was disappointed on the size of the room and for the price I expected it to be more updated. Was very unhappy with the parking. We really enjoyed Hershey Park and world but I would look at other places to stay when I come back.

Have spent many weekend trips with extended family here. Last trip, I read something about their high customer return rate - we're definitely contributing to that statistic! Fun restaurant and great pool - great for kids

After staying here three times over the years, I can say they have steadily improved each time. The new pool / water park area is nice, and the service throughout our stay was great. The Fourbay is pretty good, the cheese platter and salmon dish there were outstanding.

Nice place to stay. Very much on the expensive side and not sure the experience is up to the prices charged. Water park is nice for smaller children, not so much for tweens and teens, but still something neat to try out with the family

We were there for the Family Life "Weekend to Remember" marriage enrichment event. The event was simply AMAZING and the lodge was the perfect place to have it. Hershey Lodge is so warm and inviting. The bed was without question the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in in any hotel ever. Maybe even the most comfortable period. All that being said we were very disappointed when we first arrived with 5 bags and were told we had to park in a parking lot some 200 yards from the entrance. When I asked if we could pull up to the doors to unload our bags then park I was told no, he said only if you pay for bag service or valet parking. Maybe that is only due to the fact that there was this huge conference going on. Another thing we weren't pleased with was the fact that there was nothing offered in terms of a Continental breakfast. At $125 a night I would expect a little something for breakfast. Again, maybe they usually do but I don't think so. They have several places to eat built right into the hotel which is awesome but I think that's why they don't offer a free breakfast so that way you have to buy food at their restaurants. Other than that we loved it and will definitely go again!
