From the moment I walked into the dealership, Steve Barna and Robert DeSimone answered all of my questions, handled my concerns and made me feel at ease, during a process that is usually very stressful. The sales and finance staff was extremely courteous and really bailed me out when I needed a new work van ASAP, some people say 'your emergency is not my emergency' but not his dealership, the owner even came out at the time of delivery and personally thank me for the business when I should have been thanking him for bailing my butt out. I had a very pleasant experience with your dealership. It was a bit of a bumpy road during the negotiation process -- but when is it not when negotiating to buy a car? We ultimately wound up with the car we wanted for a price we were comfortable with. I had shopped at other Chevy dealers in the area and I won't go back. I recommend this dealership to anyone especially the salesman that work with us. The salesman that work with us (Mr. Dingertopadre) made the hold process very stress free. He didn't pressure us or push us to buy the car. He let us walk through the parking lot on our own so we can pick that car that we like. He was very helpful and calm while he work on getting the paper work ready so we can lease the car. I like the fact that, he didn't even rush to get the paper work ready for us. Mike the service rep was great. The problem is that Chevy knows there is a problem with equinox engines and oil consumption and was not transparent about it, gave warnings to consumers, and now refuse to do anything when it causes the engine to die. I will probably never get a Chevy again after having been a Chevy customer for at least 8 years.
I ve been a Chevy customer for many years driving mostly SUVs and Corvettes. Today was my first service experience at Hawthorne Chevy for an oil change. I was greeted by Mike Rivera and as promised I was in and out within one hour as I waited for my vehicle. The oil change included rotating my tires. Everyone was very professional and I highly recommend them. Thank you Mike!

Very upset with the way they do business I had an appointment to look at a 2018 Tahoe today and they sold it right underneath me. I was ready to buy this truck I had 10,000 dollars to put down and I was Preapproved for financing.
They robbed me said they powered coated my rims they just used spray paint out of can and charged me 7 hundred and 50 dollars then said they would fix never called me back

Excellent service, timely process. Steve set my expectations to the minute! There was a strange film on the inside of the windshield after the exhaust system was replaced. Would have been easy to wipe it down before handing the car back. The sun hit it and I was driving blind. Had to run home to clean the windshield. I appreciate being able to have the use of a proper desk and power outlet for my computer to get work done and make use of the wait time.

I brought my car here in November and the sales department was great! Today, however, I went for my first free oil change and wound up waiting for almost two hours! I can understand that it's Saturday and they're busy, but I think 2 hours is wayyyy too long for an oil change (which should take 20 minutes max)... Especially for someone who's waiting in the waiting room.
I was able to make my service appointment on the day and time I needed, the staff were all friendly, and I was done in less than an hour. Doesn't get any easier than that.
We brought our car in several times over the years about the Eco button spontaneously going on and off during driving. This problem is easily reproduced. Every time we brought the car in, we were told the service technician could not reproduce the problem. After years and years of this happening, finally the check engine light went on and the code showed it was related to the Eco button. When I spoke with Steve on Friday, there was no mention that a diagnostic fee would be charged. All of a sudden on Saturday (after not looking at the car earlier in the day and saying they were too busy to work on the car), there will be a diagnostic fee if we want them to look into the Eco button.
This problem started soon after we bought the car years ago, but now that they can see the problem finally, nothing will be covered under warranty. We asked for a call back from Joe Decangi (service manager) on Monday but no callback happened. It has now been almost a week with no call back. Hopefully this review will lead to at least a phone call. Very poor customer service for a service center always asking for 5 star reviews.
My experience at Hawthorne Chevrolet Service Center was supbar to say the least. I dropped my vehicle off at the facility at 10 A.M. on Tuesday, January 29th to have them diagnose an issue that I was having that was causing my vehicle to jerk upon acceleration (2014 Chevy Impala LTZ). I had my consultation with Steve Kochan, who showed utterly no personality or concern for the issues that I was experiencing, and utterly lacked in delivering friendly customer service. After hours of hearing nothing about my vehicle, I called the facility at approximately 2:30 (4 hours later) to receive an update on my own. I was informed that Steve was taking a call, and would call me back shortly. After another hour of no contact (5 hours that my vehicle was in their care), I called the facility again only to be forwarded to his voicemail. I was finally called back, and was informed that all of my rims were slightly bent, and that was causing the jerking upon acceleration. While the rims did indeed appear to be slightly bent, I did not (and still do not) feel that this is the true source of my vehicle's issue. It seems that they were simply using the fact that I had recently had my tires changed (which I disclosed) in an effort to assign blame elsewhere because they were unable to find the root of the issue. Upon attempting to pay for my invoice, it was discovered that an incorrect badge was assigned to my key, and the lot attendant was unable to find my vehicle. After searching for a few minutes, my key was located. When my car was pulled around, my tires had not been recalibrated, nor had they been filled with air, both things that Steve ensured me would be performed. Overall, due to the combination of all of these events, I feel that both Steve and this Service Center lack credibility. I would not return, and urge any users viewing these reviews to do the same. Hawthorne Chevrolet is simply just another dealership offering lukewarm, inefficient customer service.
I had a pleasant experince buying a car from here. The whole car buying thing is arduous but they made it easy, got me what I wanted, got all the info they needed and knew what they needed and I got my car right away. It was almost too good to be true and I was suspect to I might have been missing something but my car has been great so far!
I love Hawthorne Chevy. They are quick and accommodating. One guy helped me take my car seat in and out of my car and actually held my little boys hand while I really-installed it. They are a great group of people and I highly recommend them!!!
