My experience at Hawthorne Chevrolet Service Cente...

My experience at Hawthorne Chevrolet Service Center was supbar to say the least. I dropped my vehicle off at the facility at 10 A.M. on Tuesday, January 29th to have them diagnose an issue that I was having that was causing my vehicle to jerk upon acceleration (2014 Chevy Impala LTZ). I had my consultation with Steve Kochan, who showed utterly no personality or concern for the issues that I was experiencing, and utterly lacked in delivering friendly customer service. After hours of hearing nothing about my vehicle, I called the facility at approximately 2:30 (4 hours later) to receive an update on my own. I was informed that Steve was taking a call, and would call me back shortly. After another hour of no contact (5 hours that my vehicle was in their care), I called the facility again only to be forwarded to his voicemail. I was finally called back, and was informed that all of my rims were slightly bent, and that was causing the jerking upon acceleration. While the rims did indeed appear to be slightly bent, I did not (and still do not) feel that this is the true source of my vehicle's issue. It seems that they were simply using the fact that I had recently had my tires changed (which I disclosed) in an effort to assign blame elsewhere because they were unable to find the root of the issue. Upon attempting to pay for my invoice, it was discovered that an incorrect badge was assigned to my key, and the lot attendant was unable to find my vehicle. After searching for a few minutes, my key was located. When my car was pulled around, my tires had not been recalibrated, nor had they been filled with air, both things that Steve ensured me would be performed. Overall, due to the combination of all of these events, I feel that both Steve and this Service Center lack credibility. I would not return, and urge any users viewing these reviews to do the same. Hawthorne Chevrolet is simply just another dealership offering lukewarm, inefficient customer service.
