Expensive and very expensive fashion, make up, perfume, homegoods, and food products. The employees could be more informed on what, and what is not, available in their store. The perfume employees seem to be the most friendly and helpful employees in the entire store. A bit of a maze of a store, but a very enjoyable maze you wouldn't mind getting lost in for a few hours. A nice food court is on the top floor, which caters to casual and more refined dining/drinking.

Visited the La Mer counter in the skincare department with a friend on a Thursday afternoon. The younger woman at the counter was very helpful and approached us to ask if we needed any assistance - we said we didn t, and she left us to continue browsing.

However, an older member of staff approached us shortly afterwards to ask if we needed anything. We said No, thank you again but she just stood and stared at us. She kept following and staring at us while we browsed, apparently trying to pressure us to leave.

Once we started to walk away she immediately wiped down all the testers we had touched, while we could still see. (Giving 2 stars rather than just 1 because the woman at the counter was much more pleasant.)

Visited Zelman Meats on the top floor. It's a great place with top quality customer service and friendly staff. The food was brilliant as well, I'd highly recommend the "dirty steak' cooked at medium rare.
The sides were great too, triple cooked chips and grilled veg was brilliant.

Only negative = The desserts was pretty poor.

my childhood was spent here. such great memories ruined with the fifth floor restaurant nice lovely staff but the decor is so old tattered and fraying would never have been the same years ago and then the shop floor where are all the shoes? my favourite spot the shoe department the shelves are bare. so disappointing. they should have never got greedy and expanded. it's ruining this place

Iconic London store. Check out floor 5 for great places to eat and drink. And, talking of drink, they have a good drinks shop that is very well stocked as you might expect. Vintage Champagne, vintage Port and a large selection of gin and rums.

Do not buy anything from their website. Goods do not arrive and they do not provide any customer services to investigate or refund. They don t even answer emails. I am appalled that a company can exist with such bad customer service

Really cool department store with all the top notch brands expected in a place like this. Friendly staff as well as lots of space to browse and purchase goods. Great alternative to the hustle and bustle of Selfridge's and Harrods.

I had a fab herring as a starter, scallion risotto and a chocolate pave. The service was really good and the location in the center of London is great.

I was very disappointed to see what happened to the basement in the menswear department. They used to have some nice stuff there, maybe some of it was kind of dress-y and formal but now they turned all of it into an urban/street wear section were the most pathetic garments are sold. A whole basement of ugly clothes. Could they not just have a section? There is nothing underground about those brands, maybe over rated is a better description. I went there specifically to find something that was elegant, comfortable, stylish, which I guess falls into their moder classics section? That consists of four rails. Sigh

Definitely one of my favourite stores to visit. It has a fantastic array of departments. I love their fashion collections but I feel is the beauty department that I feel is fantastic.
This time I visited for the beauty department I love and I think that codage is the best beauty brand especially serum number 5.
I also visited for the Fenty beauty and in particular the Rihanna beauty collection. There us a queue so be prepared to wait. I think is worth waiting for.
I also love the deferent restaurants as well as the brasseries and the cafes.
The staff is absolutley fantastic and they can't do enough to make your visit amazing.

Very disappointing experience in a "luxury" department store.NO RECOMMENDED
I am a lover of make up I was very excited to go to Harvey Nichols and enjoy the amazing selection of high-quality makeup brands.
My disappointment starts in the disgusting condition of the tester in Ysl, lipstick with fluff and hair on them, foundation tester dripping over displays, primer tester has a dry product that hasn't been clean in ages, unbelievable conditions for a "luxury" brand. Customer service in this "prestigious" brand was poor and rude.
Spanish, Italian lady with a very poor English, serve me with very bad manners and rushing the consultation with me. When I ask to be colour match she took a set of brushes from a drawer in absolutely disgusting conditions,what for I ask her to please to make sure the brush she uses with me was clean, as I have very sensitive skin, very rude and aggressive she mentions that all the brushes were clean, when I can clearly see rest of makeup on them.
I felt very intimidated by her behaviour, and how aggressive she was applying foundation on me. I ask her if there was a counter manager with who I could have a word, and with a sarcastic smile on her face, she mentions she was the business manager while she walks away from me, to speak with somebody else from another counter in her mother tongue language, again with a very aggressive body language.
I was very shocked, so I left with an incredible disheartened feeling.
I don't even understand how companies as YSL and HARVEY NICHOLS, allowed this type of behaviour.
How is possible that a manager in a luxury department store, don't speak proper English, doesn't care about counter hygiene conditions, use dirty brushes on customers, and she is so rude and aggressive.
A rash appears few the day after in my face and I had to treat by a doctor.
I will never come back to this department store.

My friend and I had coffee at their Cafe/Restaurant last month. I was very impressed on how lovely the staffs were, all very friendly and helpful. We didn't eat anything but the quality of the food we saw being served was very good indeed. Will certainly eat here next time.

I don t understand this store at all. All the money and hard work let down by some dreadful customer service. The shoe department particularly poor. Would be better having no staff than unprofessional and misleading employees. On several occasions despite leaving all my details and being promised updates no effort was made to contact me. When re-visiting the store I was simply informed that s the way Harvey Nichols operates ??? Useless.
