I m sure most people that grace their presence in Harrods could never afford most items in the boutique sections of the store. Except the gift shop - whoever incepted this idea is a genius. The items in there were on point and exactly what I was looking for with gift ideas for friends and family back home. I could easily spend a good hour just in there alone. Also awesome that you can claim the tax back if you re not a resident of the UK.
The marble walls and history within the building speaks volumes for class and beauty. It s a journey worth making to see for yourself.
Criticisms: I get staff are there to service the rich and powerful with deep pockets, but it s not nice nor appreciated to look down on the tourists who cannot afford a Versace shirt, or Cartier jewellery. Just because my husband may look like a bikie, with his long goatee and shaved head, your staff don t need to eyeball him nor follow him around. He is a kind and thoughtful person, so don t judge a book by its cover. We run our own successful business and I would never dream of showing this kind of disrespect to our customers - both rich or poor.

Best place ever, tonnes of stuff, delicious food and lovely staff

A glass of champagne on the terrace away from the hustle and bustle with excellent service. As for Harrods itself its sheer madness and volumes of people you get swept along but always make sure we visit the food hall just for the wow factor.

Used to be a great store, it s changed a lot over the past 20 years, it s now just another big shopping centre. They still have high end brands, but a lot of cheap stuff that breaks easily. I have very disappointed daughters that Harrods staff convinced they should buy some toys, however they don t work without the skill of the particular trained staff showing them off, or the toys have broken quickly. Shame as Harrods used to be a unique and great place to visit and shop.

Wow sooo expensive but lived my visit interesting items

Good for buying premium items. Normal items like dry fruits are over priced. But then this shop is not for the price conscious.

Harrods has transformed into just another high end department store. I do love the food halls but for a food hall advertised as one of the finest, you need more gluten free products. The staff however were knowledgeable and courteous. They went out of their way to find me something to eat. I am grateful. Frankly I don't consider Harrods the destination that it once was. Shame really.

Very chaotic but elegant store. Worth a visit but just to have an idea

Need I say anything afternoon tea was the best I've had. Service is as you would expect just perfect, the right balance of attentiveness. Just perfect!

Shopping is as it always is in these stores once they see you are there to spend money they will do anything for you it would be nice for saled staff to not presume that you are not there to spend because I'm wearing high street clothes and sports trainers!!! Many a time have a walked out of these big stores and gone to the main branch so I am not looked through but looked at, as customer needing help!! I could be there to only buy something small like a belt or a pair of shoes or a bag. Perception aye happy shopping.

Great store. My favorite part is the food they make / sell. The sandwiches looked amazing. Each time i am in London i go to Harrod's just to bring back home their wonderful roses' Jam. They also sell luxury clothing brands, toys, and hi-tech items.

We're tourists in London for the first time and did what every other first time tourist to London does- we went to Harrods (instead of Jared's). I can't say I'd go back the next time I'm in London but it was worth the experience to go and More

Hugh multi floor department store with theme/manufacturer centric shopping areas. From a butcher shop/market to picnic baskets/ high tea/low tea and snacks/coffee-food bar and many gift items. Wow, quite a place to visit and shop!!

Obviously, incredibly busy, especially in the food halls. You will get to see foods that the children won't recognise, hence, it's educational too. The prices were expected to be crazy for whatever you looked at, but the exceptional beauty & great service of the store itself makes you feel sophisticated. It can take a few hours to have a good look around & even if you leave empty-handed, still worth a visit.

Such a big store with an amazing variety of products, typically higher end and pricey but well worth a visit and you may end up buying something amazing.

Personnel spotty - some are arrogant, some condescending and many are helpful. Some prices are beyond reason and most are market. Had to return flatware after discovering scratches; good thing did not ship home from the store. Bought cologne, discovered a different (cheaper and less popular) kind was wrapped. Most of the low-medium and some high end products are available in US shopping malls in greater variety. Most high end brands have stores in large US cities.

Definitely the best departmental store in London and one of a kind. The only departmental store in London in my opinion where service level is consistently high. If you can afford it then they have it.

A very exclusive and expensive superstore with lots of high end branded items and perfumes. Been to Harrods previously but explored with enthusiasm and interest. Highly recommend this place, but will need to spend at least few hours across 6 floors in central London. 6th Floor is exclusive for perfumes.

One of the iconic places in London, if you visited London without going to Harrods that means you missed a lot of things,

Always have to come when going to see football , although travelling in from far outside London , I ll pop in , to the food hall & always love it , it s a tourist attraction In it s own right.

I personally think Harrods is one of the best stores in London to go to especially during a sale which is on right now they have a great selection of items and the staff are always on point and they always listen to your needs I cannot recommend it any higher its a must go destination for all of those who come to visit London.

This is my favourite shop! I love the circular bakery in the food hall, and the Harry Potter section is great!

If you like spending huge amounts of money, and enjoy crowds this is a must for you. I respect the design and layout of the shop and appreciate its fame however at the end of the day it is just a high class shopping mall, I am not a big shopper so maybe I am judging it harsh but I won't be returning and can think of better things I could have been doing whilst in London.

Harrods is an amazing shop, excited to see new lines by Alexandra McQueen and Tom Ford. As usual paid a visit to Godiva chocolates in the food hall, a must try highly recommend. Louis Vuitton as some fab sneakers in store. Staff in the food hall are always pleasant and welcoming. Amazing day trip.

A nice experience however, if you want something special, especially in clothing, Jermyn Street is the place to go.

Harrods is spectacular and the customer service was Impeccable however, they did not have what I personally wanted there. Maybe others will find it does what they want but for me? No.

Amazing place with a myriad of Luxurious products to shop from which are of high quality, whether it is jewellery, Handbags or Food but keep in mind that the products sold here are expensive and that you should shop at place if you wallet permits you to do so.

The high class shopping mall in Nightbridge. Although its entrance was under maintainance when I visited this place. The layout was so confusing like it is trying to keep costumers within this mall as long as possible. It is honestly like a maze. If you plan to shop a high end brand this is the place for you.

I loved my experience there, everything smelled expensive and divine. The absolute best part of my experience was meeting an enigmatic shopping assistant named Pavel, on the first floor, with lush golden hair, who made me feel like myself and really brought me out of my shell when suggesting beautiful accessories for me to try on and spice up my style.

Roja Dove perfume on 6th floor is wonderful. Breakfast was great get in early before the queue form.

Spent most of our time in the liquor department, so extensive and with knowledgeable staff. Pinotage from South Africa a must. .

It's Harrods and naturally we expect the best, they don't disappoint people. I've noticed they have become less elitist and more friendly every year that passes. The food on offer is excellent too. Harrods I salute you, may you stay ever an institution that serves!

Curious to see what it was like, to say it is a massive store , would be an understatement....everything u want is certainly here plus things u can't even imagine...just bring a big wallet !!!!!

Nice and legendary place. Two minuses:
Renovations were confusing and places are difficult to find inside.
Wine and champagne shop is a dream come true. Service was spot on!

Loved seeing this in person! I was absolutely in awe of this place. I could easily get lost in here for hours, but in a good way! I only had one night in London and this was the one spot I made sure to go to. If you re in a similar position that I was, make Harrod s the place to see!

Always love going here. Helpful and knowledgeable staff and usually more impressive than your average retail store. Great quality products as well.

Good place to go for the experience if you are a tourist etc. Or good for shopping In if you are rich!

Amazing store with some good bargains, yes you can spend nearly 20k on a TV but you can also find bargains. Along with a five star shopping experience there are some excellent dining options.
Good friendly staff in the wrapping section. Food hall is to be added to your bucket list especially the cake - patisserie section, lm sure l gained an inch on the waist gazing at all the lovely cakes.

Amazing day out , so much to see . It's the unusual gifts that u don't see on the high Street that made it for me , staff really polite and helpful , a truly amazing experience.

Very high end department store that has anything you would want to buy. They carry all the luxury brands so you can just come and shop in one store. It's especially convenient in the winter time when the weather is cold or on rainy days.

They also have an awesome food hall where you can get a lot of yummy treats. Love this store!

Fantastic shopping mall. Decorations are wonderful and on Egyptian and pharaonic styles. The floor for kids toys is incredible and the part for ladies dresses. Almost all famous designers have their products there.

Well it's just simply amazing isn't it. I would 100% go again.

Magical place at night time, and beautiful inside. Only thing is full of people at any times.

A prestigious and a landmark department store that is an icon. The interior wall average and slightly dated, giving a feeler hat the top management do not go on walkabout inspection. The staff were friendly and approachable; having good product knowledge. As a brand centre, the prices were as expected. Allow more than a few hours to enjoy its beauty and be prepared to spend as they do have some fabulous items. The chocolate centre turned out to be my favourite. If in town worth a visit.

Very luxury fashion store department which is one of the best in united kingdom. Almost all of the trendy, luxury, new or long-standing brand is here. Therefore, you can shopping here and get everything done on one go. Not only that, there More

Wow, like every material indulgence under one roof! Definitely, a lot to take in, and if you are able to shop without a blink, this is the place for you! Something for everyone can be found here. Everyone gets to have an experience within their limits!

Famous department store with outstanding architecture inside and out. Food was superb and the service excellent. Throughout the store presentation was impeccable. Very expensive but worth visiting for the experience.

It's not the same. yes, the building is still magnificent. yes, the interior is still fabulous. yes, some of the items for sale are stunning. BUT -
There is not the same outrageous: get anything you want. On top of that, the customers (not the staff) are rude and - entitled. There was a certain tourist population who seemed so very privileged and they simply pushed past and pushed into - as if they are simply used to doing what ever they want. It was VERY unpleasant. Evidently the store is owned by them...in general.

There are several penny machines - only one was working, however.

Huge shop with fantastic food halls, decorated with unique tileing. The various clothes and accessories departments are full of amazing, high quality goods. Great place to visit and get gifts

Just a novelty really, though the food hall has some delicious things.

Very good men's shoe selection in the basement. It's best, when visiting this store, to view it as you would a visit to an art gallery i.e don't try & look at everything in one visit...or even several visits...

What a unique experience. I have never been to a grocery store that offers $20,000 diamond bracelets in the next room. Or a store with an Alexander McQueen shop next to a delicious burger bar. It is very unique to London & to the world. If you don t buy anything else, make your way to the souvenir area (it can be tricky to find) and buy a bag or mug to commemorate your trip. Take time to explore every floor - even the escalators are amazing.

One of a kind. Has everything, everything's fancy. Just walking around for hours is one of my favourite things to do in London, a really fun experience.

The place is a must visit even if you are not intending to buy anything. As they claim, you will see an amazing exclusive collection of big brands stuff there. The staff is generally very courteous. You also find a wide variety of food when tired with shopping.

Really cool, loved the time in there walking and seeing. Ate at the food at the cafe! it was a tasty stop. Great service. The Hermes people were great help after I got something on my tie.

When visiting London, Harrods is the go to place with everything under one roof, so big you could get lost loll :))

Best place for luxury goods. Collections are unlimited. Prices are expensive but value for money . Locality is nice. One of the best tourist attractions in London, UK.

Very busy but plenty of staff and stuff available. Went to a few department stores and tried on a few items. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. I plan on returning to try the food in the restaurant soon!

The quality and architecture of the interior and exterior of this ancient building is truly something special. The staff are very helpful in directing you around the shops and will take time out off their job to make sure you know where your going. 10 years ago, my parents visited this place and brought home a biscuit tin with an old photo of Harrods wrapped around it. We still use the tin to this day and seeing it in real life is very special to me. Please go here! Even if your not going to buy something just walking through here is special.

Very good store, but only for reach Chinese and Arab tourists.

Shopping here is for shopping hobbyists really. Pricing does vary from affordable to completely outrageous. Who pops i. To buy an Aston martin to pubinto their shopping bag here? Famous for superb toilets, which they are. I go straight to the food court.
