They miss check in times that they promise, they give away your keys to someone else and take forever to get them back. It took us an hour to get our reserved overpriced room around 5pm and they did not give us a single apology. Don't go here if you want a nice relaxing vacation. Overpriced and terrible service

Went here for the hot springs with my boyfriend and kayaking. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. I would have to say the hotel is nice so I expected a lot more from the rooms. The rooms are very outdated and have carpet all through out the room. There was no A/C in the room at it was very hot that day. It did have a fair sized TV but the bed set up was also strange with one queen bed in the room and one single bed beside it. They had a huge leak coming from the roof in the lobby area as well. The lobby place sold starbucks products which was nice and everything was walking distance and nice and close. The main focal point of this hotel was the hot springs by far the area was very romantic at night and whimsical. The pools were so relaxing and the water was so calming and warm.

Visited the resort with my family on Christmas. We were pleased with the hospitality of this hotel even during peak season. Our requests were fulfilled and we enjoyed our stay. My favourite time was relaxing at the indoor hot pool early in the morning. It was awesome!

This is not the same good old Harrison Hot Spring resort.

To check in we had to wait in a big line up for 20-30 minutes. I understand that it was spring break and long weekend but maybe hire more staff. Once inside our room, there was no sign of bath robes. So another 20-30 minutes of wait again so they can bring us our robes so we can finally enjoy the water.

The food at the lake side cafe is over priced for buffet. The table we sat at, the chairs were ripped, dirty & old. I have not tried the copper room, maybe things are different there.

The pools & hot springs were so busy, loud, & dirty that we didn t get to relax at all. Plus I m not sure how much spring water is in each pool.

Overall, the scenery is nice but quality has gone down significantly. I used to come here since I was a kid but this time I think will be my last.

We stayed at the Harrison resort and hot springs from August 4th to the 6th and were very disappointed with our experience. In our opinion this hotel is a tourist trap. There are several reasons we would not recommend this hotel as a vacation destination.

Check-in:

We arrived a bit early and the staff informed us that we could not check-in until 4. We waited until 4. Then 4:10. Then 4:20 - we asked them about our room and they said they hadn't even started cleaning it yet. They offered us a different room instead - we shouldn't have taken it.

The room:

The room was small and dirty - there were hairs of unknown origin in the bathroom. As well, there was no air conditioning. In our opinion, considering the price point of this hotel, there should at least be air conditioning.

The restaurants:

We ate one meal at the Copper Room. We had the three course meal (cost $40). Our starters and desserts were good, but the main course was only on par with food from a food truck. The ambiance was nice though.

The hot springs:

The hot springs themselves were enjoyable, although this is definitely not a place to go for rest and relaxation. The adult pool is quite close to the main pool so the noisiness from that area (the kids and drunk adults) easily reached us.

Miscellaneous:

The hotel is in sore need of a renovation. The decor is from the 70s (at the earliest?). There is a lot of wear and tear throughout the entire hotel.

The staff were polite, but certainly not friendly. Although I'm hopeful that was simply because of how busy things were.

The room next to us ordered room service and left their leftovers and used plates outside their room. It was not removed for at least 12 hours.

The gym facility was good. Air conditioned and had a variety of well-maintained equipment.

Conclusion:

It was a busy weekend (August long). We have worked in customer service so we can understand how being busy impacts customer service. However, it is apparent that this is a very popular hotel and that there is a lot of money pouring in. It is equally apparent that that money is not being spent on housekeeping, staffing, food services, or (much needed) renovations. Given this, it appears that this is hotel is nothing more than a tourist trap. The amount of money charged is simply not on par with the amenities and services. We would recommend not spending your money here.

Harrison Lake is a magical place and the energy is incredible. If you have never been to Harrison Lake and the Resort then I suggest you do so.
The Resort itself has old charm and friendly staff. I especially found the Spa accommodating.
It's a great weekend getaway place to just unwind and forget the real world for awhile. To relax revive and rethink life as you are living it. There's more to explore just in the area, like a local cheese maker or coffee roaster.
Come visit the Fraser Valley's lily treasure.

Harrison Hot Spring Hotel was good. Staff very helpful. What was not good was rudeness of some guests. People in room above us made a lot of noise. So couldn't sleep till 3 am. Very loud talking or yelling and sounded like chairs were be dragged around. They also smoked and dumped cigarette ashes and butt's down on our lounging chairs. Children were swimming in adult pool and not leaving when ask to leave. There is a sign with 4 languages stating it is an adult only pool.

A fun weekend getaway with the family. As others have said the hotel is a bit dated but is kept very clean with fantastic staff and service that bump it way up beyond a typical three star hotel. The hot pools were fun but strangely lacked jets and a cold plunge pool that we're used to seeing at hot springs.

We were there at the beginning of spring break so they had movies playing in large room that our kids enjoyed.

Our dinner at the Copper Room was very nice. Would recommend a sitting no more than 30min before the live music started. We were a bit earlier and it was pretty empty and quiet (not even background canned music). But once the band started playing it had filled up a bit and was way more lively.

Buffet breakfast at the Lakeside on the second floor was also quite good with an omelette bar, standard bacon/eggs/waffles etc and fruit, bagels with smoked salmon lox.

Beautiful scenery with snow capped Mt Cheam nearby. A great visit.

Based on the reviews that was written for the main hotel, I had low expectations for the rooms. But actually It wasn't bad when I saw it. Some issues were bad wifi, ceiling fan not working, and stuffy.

Nice resort and amenities.

Nice resort and amenities.

One star is for the underlying fact I paid a premium ($299 CAD plus tax) for the "exclusive guest access only" mineral baths, and found out the hard way that they add high-levels of chlorine to the mineral water which compromises the whole health benefit purpose of a mineral bath.

After two hours of bathing, my family and I began to have chest pains, breathing issues, sharp pains & back tightness, burning eyes, itchy skin, runny nose, later heavy coughing, and my hands smelled of concentrated chlorine odor for over a day following our resent stay two nights ago.

I have reported it to the resort and the side effects, and it's unsure if they will reply back or not.

Additionally, our room smelled like a wet dog had been in there prior to our check-in.

Thus, I do not recommend paying a premium if your expecting health benefits from using this resort's "exclusive guest access only" mineral bath pools.

Horrible, we checked in hours later, due to the room not being ready. While my family were going to cultus lake we told them directly we would keep our bags in the car instead of our room. And the lady said it's fine. We were not checking out though. They gave our room away anyway. Bad service organization horrible. do not stay here. It may seem nice but it is the least hotel you want to experience. We had to argue with someone named niki, she patronized us and wouldn't listen to us as we were expressing our feelings.

NOTE THIS: There were NO miscommunication, it was loud and clear conversation. They are just very unorganized and some of the staff are entitled. I am just 12 years old and I care about my stay. NIKI (Front desk person) was very rude to my mother. During a conversation about this complaint.

Just because a hotel is large doesn't make it a resort. The mattress literally felt like a cardboard box, it was so uncomfortable. You would think with how much you pay for a room they would invest in nicer mattress considering it is a "resort". They didn't even put a proper blanket on the bed, instead, it was a mattress cover sandwiched between two top sheets. That's right, our blanket was a mattress cover. The mattress itself didn't even have a protective cover on it, instead all it had was another top sheet that wasn't even tucked in, it was just hanging down to the floor. The mattress also looked very dirty and old, it was disgusting. The only thing great about this hotel is the outdoor pools and that is why we continue to come back because it is relaxing to lay in the pools all day and soak up the sun with a nice cold drink from the pool bar. However, this last visit we noticed that the water had a heavy bleach smell to it and we could only stay in for a couple hours and our skin ended up getting burned and developed rashes from the chlorine because it was so heavy. It also bleached the color out of our clothes. All around this was just a very disappointing visit and we have visited well over 40 times. I think it will be many months before we decide to give it another try.

Run down. Kinda dirty. Most rooms do not have air conditioning. Ugh. Was told to leave door open to room to circulate fans in hall way
The ice buckets looked like puked in. Gross

Great spa resort to come to and unwind. The hotel is the perfect size to not be over crowded, so you have a better chance to have that private time while relaxing in the mineral waters outside under the stars.

Very nice staff. Our room on the 4th floor in the West Tower facing the lake was quiet except when some drunks walked the hallways at midnight. Arghhh. Kids loved the pools. Food at resort is very expensive and not memorable. We walked 2 blocks to local restaurants for the rest of our (much better and cheaper) meals.

The 1 star is only for landscape and hot spring. It did not deserve more stars because the noise from the hot spring never stop until 11pm and after 11pm, the elevator sound starts. I couldn t sleep all night.

Warm swimming pool, nothing more. Water not even hot and no mineral effect can be felt. Only a lot of acid smell. Hotel room ok, staff friendly. Once is fine for the sake of experience but personally not worthwhile to go again.

Pool was moderately room temperature. Rooms were worse than your standard best western. Did not live up to the hype. Dedicated adult area for pools not clearly indicated. Nice view at the beach.

The views from the lakeside rooms are amazing. You can have the breeze from the water coming through your patio windows throughout the day and sounds of the water at night. The drawback of the hotel is that it's fairly dated and seems out of touch with the current times. Our room had an issue with the air conditioning, that required multiple engineers to look at before it got resolved. The one thing I really wasn't expecting was to pay for parking while staying at the hotel. They'll charge you $12 a night if you park yourself behind the hotel, or $24 a night for valet parking in front of the hotel. Overall, I would recommend this place as it's got some amazing views during the day and at night.

It is worth it due to the heated pools but the hotel is old with faded carpets and hideous interior decor, poor service. We left the tag to tidy up the room for a whole day and we were not taken care of ... The lake is great and lunch and pedal boat rentals are worth it. The tour pays off because the place is beautiful.

The Hotel and staff were amazing! I would recommend not going out to eat and just ordering in their room service. The food was delicious. A fantastic Veggie burger, fries and apple pie. Although it was cold out, the pools were nice and warm.

While at the hotel, I had a room in the old part of the establishment. The room was clean and comfortable. The floors were quite creaky and woke me up a few times during the night. Otherwise, I enjoyed my stay. The restaurant was great, breakfast buffet was good, check in was a breeze, and otherwise everything was quite enjoyable.

My fiance and I back in april went to this resort and although we loved the pools, food and drinks,
the rooms were so outdated for the price you pay, room insulation was terrible could hear the people above all night.

We told a lady at the front desk we would be back maybe to drop in for the pools in the summertime... she said great we would love to see you come back.

We went this august to drop in and the reception stated "summers are our busiest and unfortunately can not do a drop in" ...I said we were not told this and that it is online (however they clarified its the INDOOR pool further down) , also mentioned we drove an hour and a half to come, I work in customer service at a 5 star spa in Vancouver and normally we inform people if they mention a drop in that it wont entail within our high season... I said is there a way that they could make an exception ??
she then got her manager and she was the rudest person I've ever spoken to basically denying everything we said and that her staff would never tell anyone about a drop in as if i were making it up...
I will never go back to this hotel ! Worst customer service.

The resort has a beautiful location with amazing pools. My girlfriend and I planned a family get together to celebrate a birthday; in total our family had booked 6 rooms.
We arrived late on Friday and decided to go to the pool to relax for a few hours, this was cut short. The resort was host to a wedding and unfortunately the after party moved to the indoor pool at 11:00pm (when the outdoor pools close). For those who are unaware, the indoor pool is a quiet place, this is noted on all doors and the walls of the building. When the 30+ party goers moved to the indoor pool they brought their extremely loud, and now echoing voices, along with portable speakers and alcohol. The two of us, along with the other people who were in the pool before 11:00pm were obviously uncomfortable and not happy with the situation. A staff member came in and only asked the group to remove any glass bottles from the pool area. Instead of having a relaxing night it was loud and uncomfortable, staff didn't do anything to stop the situation to make the rest of the guests comfortable. We were very disappointed in this.
We dined at the Copper Room on Saturday to celebrate the birthday. The host was quite rude and misgendered myself, giving out menu's to the other women at the table before the men and myself. Luckily our waiter was great and attentive to detail. The food was only okay-good, not great how you would expect when paying a hefty amount for a meal. The dancing was enjoyed by all, although we had to request a birthday song a few times with the band.
On Sunday we ate at the breakfast buffet which was disgusting. Waffles were soft, no pancakes available, little selection, and an overall disappointing end to our trip.
Our room was adequate and not too hot without air conditioning.
Overall we just wish that after spending so much money at the resort they would have better service and would enforce the rules in the pool. Upon checkout we weren't even asked how our stay was! (not to mention that the TV checkout option was not available). Disappointing trip to say the least.

We were traveling west and decided to spend one night at Harrison Hot Springs Resort to soak in the pools. They only had the lake view rooms left when I called, but we decided to splurge on the $350 room anyway. The first annoyance came during this call when they told me they also charged $10 for parking. Really? When we arrived at the resort, the lobby wast very nice and the staff was friendly. But when we got to our room, I was appalled. This was supposed to be a premium room and it was dated, dark and dingy. The decor appeared to be from the 90's. The bathroom door was dirty and the veneer was peeling. The coffee maker and hair dryer were very poor quality. And there was no microwave. What kind of hotel room does not have a microwave? Sitting on the desk was $2.50 bottles of water, and 3 coffee pods. I have stayed in nicer rooms for $70 per night. The public areas of the resort are very nice and the pools were great. But I would not recommend this place, nor will I return

Doesn't get any better than this in Harrison or vicinity.
Older building and could use some upgrades but overall a must check out in all of BC. Clean, well kept and super hositable staff make for a great stay.
I've stayed during covid times and the protocols were followed thoroughly!
I've been coming to this resort nearly every summer for the last 10 years and will keep coming back.

Clean
Good for kids
Great morning coffee
Great Value
Could use better signal for the cable.. Oh boy that was retro AF.

Spent 3 nights for my wife's 50th birthday. This was our 3rd visit to the springs since 2014. Service is and always was excellent. Our first room was overlooking the hot springs and great view of the mountain. Second visit had a room in the original part of the hotel - rooms were small with low ceilings and old fashioned bathrooms. This time we splurged and got a room on the 8th floor in the East Wing overlooking Harrison Lake. The view would've been breathtaking but unfortunately we went during a very rainy time. Walked around town, had breakfast at the pub, supper at the pizzeria and lunch at Muddy Waters. We dined at the Copper Room and practiced the Social / Ballroon dancing that we learned from our dance lessons in Montreal. We'll definitely return here again.

Clean friendly staff. Would have been helpful if the front desk or valet explained anything? We wondered around to find out details about the quiet pool which was NOT kept quiet, and to figure out the restaurants and amenities avialable. We stayed in the cottages which were fabulous however the beds and pillows need to be replaced. The food was pretty good though

The hotel is situated on the lakefront. Our room was in the east tower with a mountain view and from the balcony we could see the lake. Beautiful view, it was a great room, beds were comfortable and they provided robes, slippers would have been good. We had a great time just relaxing and swimming in all the different style hot spring pools that the hotel provides.
