Room is lacking outlets. Nowhere to plug in laptop or charge phone near the table or the beds. This is unacceptable. Beautiful views.
I visit Harveys twice a year and I've never been disappointed. The rooms are always really nice and the views are always fantastic! I like the service that I receive from all of the hotel staff. The hotel is very affordable the location is perfect!
Improv at Harvey's is great! A friend did try to order a double at the bar and waa pretty sure they only got a single. Otherwise a fine experience.
Friendly dealers, easy navigation through the casino and hotel.
Great place to relax and have fun at same time
If u ever get a chance to see a concert at Harveys outdoor arena you should definitely do it!
Nice view of the lake, staff was very nice, and clean. I love the summer hiking.
This casino is pretty dated and dirty but they have a sports book. Overall we much more enjoyed playing at Harrah's.
New auto checkout was quick. The room was nice though there were a bit too few plug outlets for the twenty first century. Cool bathroom for the price.
So far day one of 4 day stay seems really laid back. The staff are cautious and very respectful. Check in was fast and easy. This hotel has many restaurants and a Cinnabon. YUM!
Due to COVID-19 they do not have refrigerators or coffee pots in the rooms. Good thing we brought an ice chest full of ice and bottled water and soft drinks.
No in room service due to COVID-19, but they do have room service that brings you towels, blankets, food, etc.
There's a Raleys, CVS and Safeway near by so that's convenient. Kmart, TJmaxx, Ross- so if forgot an article of clothing or would like to shop while you stay go for it. There are plenty of places that offer take out- CA side. Nevada side seems to have dine in open but call ahead reservations may be required.
Horrible room. The shower had plumbing issues and water didn t drain. No refrigerator in the room as advertised. Light bulbs burned out. Room not very clean. Swimming pool falsely advertised; the nice indoor pool is at other hotel across the street which you need to go there, stand in line, get a hotel key, etc. No room service options other than very limited menu of pizza. Oh, and worst of all is all the hidden fees they add to your bill at checkout. Everything from parking, Internet, resort fee , and even charged a $26 movie charge that my child accidentally pushed on the remote that we didn t even watch. Complained to manager who took at least 10 mins to come to the counter. Not very empathetic and said the check in clerk should have went over everything with me. Nope. Never ever stay there again.
Place desperately needs repairs. They had many extra fees that we were not told until we got there to check in. The TV had connection issues and would stutter constantly. The Arcade down stairs is full of many broken or constantly glitching out games. And the room was as bear as they get. The most luxurious part of the hotel was suprising the closet which was quite large for hotel closets.
If I am raiting just the room alone it would be 2 stars.
Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for some nightlife in Lake Tahoe.
ESPN+
How do you not have ESPN+ $4.99 a month. I refuse to come back.
A great concert venue. However the rooms were very dissapointing, and in need of repair/renovations, (See pics) especially considering these are not their most basic rooms. We paid $184 a night for stained carpets, beat up furnishings, and peeling wallpaper. Also got walked in on by housekeeper at 9 am.
Nice big room with a good view of the lake and the mountains
Horrible experience. With to Young kids they wouldn't give us a non smoking room, then "oxidated" the room for 3 hours to make it smell better, which it didn't. Couldn't use our room for those three hours, had no place to go and our stuff was in the room which we had no access to. I finally told them to take out the machine so we could get our stuff and they made us wait in the hallway for an hour before they took it out. The room had gun on the carpet, I was bitten multiple times by some sort of bug. The worst experience. I will not go back.
The keys for the room didn't work.
It was really frustrating to go down to the hotel reception, they gave me a new key and again it didn t work. It was 3 TIMES! when I asked to speak with the receptionist Manager who s name Justin Jennings, he was very rude, asking my ID when he's employ took care of my reservation a few min before, My ID was in the bag on the 19th floor with my husband next to the close hotel room so I showed him on my phone. He Insist to see the ID card, the whole experience was very disappointing, I felt so frustrated to going up and down just get into my hotel room. I came back from a trip, I was very tired. I thought hotels supposed to take care of the guests and not rattle them. The most RUDE thing when he noticed that I m frustrated he started to LAUGH in my face, when I asked what is so funny, He comment you .
The hotel have really bad costemer service, it took them an hour to fix the door, I notice I m not the only guest that had the same problem.
The door was not the only problem on top of it after I finally got into the room the hot water didn t work, HOW GREAT!
The last thing on the web there is wrong information about the parking. said it FREE BUT they charging $30.
I wouldn t recommend this hotel! such a bad costumer service and such a bad maintenance.
Rooms look old, although the building looks very modern. The stores inside are very convenient as well for late night needs.
Harveys at Lake Tahoe is a fun place to visit. I like going there to play video poker. Always have pretty good luck. Also there are many fine places to eat and they all serve great food.
Love the stay here everything was perfect nice Mountain View
I only visited the Casino, made a donation, and left the facility. Great location in South Lake Tahoe.
Great venue for concerts, after spending time on line to enter for a concert " security" told me that my purse was too big and send me back to the hotel to check it in a different location ( my purse was a standard size nothing out of the ordinary)... after that I went back to stand on line again.. little disappointed.
Super over priced for basic amenities. Valet parked my car and rolled down my back window and left it that way over night. The hot tub was out of service for over 5 days before booking and no mention of this. Could get a better hotel for cheaper prices else were
Had a nice stay here. Not extremely impressed with the room. There was no fridge to keep drinks cold, no bathtub as I had originally seen in the photos of the room I thought was picked. However the staff was very friendly and accommodating, and customer service is huge in my book. It can make or break a place.
A fun place that's really conveniently located and just convenient in general because all you have to do is go downstairs and have fun near a lot of restaurants, bars, and dessert places.
This was the best place in Tahoe for long while, now they charge $20 per day for parking plus they took away all the comps n freebies from their loyalty program, this would be more like 2 stars but the outdoor concerts are awesome
We have seen Eric Church, Keith Urban 3xs, Luke Bryan, Chris Stapleton, old dominion, Marin Morris, kelsea Ballerini, and our favorite Kenny Chesney 4xs!
The games are a bit pricey but overall this arcade was awesome when it was actually staffed..
Ehhhhh the check in process was good. The room, however, was basic. The dresser looked broken down. The light between the beds had a short and kept going off n on. The room only had 1 other standing lamp so the room was quite dim. The view outside the huge window was just more windows from other rooms. The carpet was old, the decor was old, the wallpaper was old. I spent 6 hours gambling and we literally had to GO find a waitress to ever get a drink. Waitresses would never come over to our area. The check out process was fine but the clerks never could answer any questions properly. NOT WORTH THE 100 BUCKS TO STAY HERE OR EVEN GAMBLE.
Horrible absolutely horrible when it comes to their customer service.
This hotel use to be a sweet spot in Tahoe. Our room was adequate size wise but issues in the bathroom. The tub would not hold water to sit in. The showerhead did not function properly.
Then on top of a resort fee this place now charges for valet parking. No wonder the Indian casinos in Cali are doing so well.
This will be my last time to come here.
Same as the sister casino across the street .... Just alright
Nice for table games. We had fun at craps, roulette, and blackjack.
After reading the reviews, I arrived at the hotel with low expectations.
The warm greeting and excellent Customer Service by Christine at the front desk was comforting. She was helpful, friendly and wanted to make my stay enjoyable. We booked the mountain tower and read reviews of older rooms. I also heard noise was a problem. I requested a room away from the elevators. We ended up upgrading to the Lake Tower rooms which are all newly remolded. Wow! Spacious, beautiful and all new. Noise? I got the best night s sleep with no interruptions. No noise!
Everything I read prior to the visit wasn t true with my stay. I highly recommend this property. Don t always believe what your read. Most reviews people are upset about something and have that, I will show them attitude. I want to share my positive experience. I highly recommend.
Expect to get robbed if you want to park here. They charge you by the hour. If you buy something from the gift shop that is over $20 and are a local resident with a drivers license proving that, then you can have your parking validated.
So, if you want to gamble, go somewhere else.
Liked the bathrooms, excellent layout for multi people in room. Hotel decor is really dated. Rooms need updating. Did not like the " auto " check in at a machine. Harvey's you need a live person to welcome your guests!
Needs updates. The elevators suck and the rooms had a bit of stains
Ok place to stay. Garage elevators need updating. Be aware they charge 41.50 a day to park in the garage, ridiculous! I will not stay again for that reason. When I spoke to a man at the front desk about it he was rude.
This is an older casino, but we were happy with the room and price. It was a fun place to stay.
We have a lot of fun everything was nice enjoyed the concert not complained about it, but after we paying for the tickets not cheap and pay $20 bucks for the parking I don't think that's fair and 35 minutes to be able to get out the parking lot and i was parking on 4th floor, so thats why they get four stars from me.
Great place to stay. Very friendly staff. could use a little updating but overall a great experience.
The waitresses and security at the casino were extremely rude. The waitress, Anna yelled at us for no reason at all. Awful...we will be going elsewhere from now on. I ve also been carded and harassed by security several times here
Enjoyed my self here at Harvey's Casino. Won a bit but the enjoyment of it all was worth ending the night by putting my winings back in the slots.
Expect to pay several fees on top of the useless resort fee when you check out. Even hotel guests have to pay daily for parking. We ended up paying about 40% above what our room was quoted per day and that was in addition to the useless resort fee.
Won't return because if you drive anything bigger than a Prius you're forced to pay for valet. (Your loss, I lost a grand on the tables down the street)
I recommend Harveys Lake Tahoe, Nevada - USA
Outstanding service .
Great parking garage. Reasonable overnight parking for people not guests of the hotel. Be careful, the hotel you are staying at might not accommodate parking for more than 1 car, but Harvey's has you covered. Short walk to the hotel we stayed at.
This hotel is still stuck in th 60s!! The rooms are in dire need of updating. There isn't a single charging station for mobile devices. I asked front desk for a power strip and there isn't one available. The closest power outlet is 15 feet from the bed. There is no coffee maker --- I called front desk for a coffee maker and 45 minutes later I had to make a second call! 30 minutes later I was still waiting. We had already called room service by then. Room service was very prompt--- the order arrived within 10 minutes! On top of all the unprofessional service at this hotel, I am being charged a resort fee!!! I forgot to mention that I also had to wait 45 minutes for my luggage to get to my room. I shall never set foot in this place again.
For a great a great meal, beautiful lake views, and a piece of Tahoe and Harvey's history, visit the Sage Room.
It's an original Harvey's restaurant originally located on the casino floor. It's since been moved to the 18 floor of the new tower.
Concert sound was great, bleacher seats were a bit tight, still worth it!
It serves the purpose of a place to hold your belongings while you do other stuff. Room was mediocre at best. Carpet needs replacing, furniture needs replacing, outlets and light switches need replacing. All that for $300 a night is ridiculous. It seemed that if you wanted anything more than a bed to sleep on, it was going to cost you more money. I will never go back there again.
On a positive note, the hotel staff was friendly and responsive.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The hotel is rundown and outdated. We were given a room that smelled so badly of stale smoke, we could hardly breathe. There were ozone machines going in almost every room on the floor to try to clear the smoke. After arguing for nearly an hour, they agreed to move us to a non smoking room. The new room was in terrible shape. The wallpaper was hanging off the walls, lightbulbs were burned out and tiles were missing from the shower. The only good thing about this place is the location, but there are much better options in the same vicinity. I would never stay here again. See pictures below:
Our room was great very clean and It appears to be newly redone the casino floor was not all that grand lot of machines were off for social distancing but how they went about it doesn't make complete sense some machines are on and close to one another while a bank of machines are off for no apparent reason also not many employees assigned to cleaning I saw 1. They also allow smoking if you a germophobe this is not going to be your safe place, the games also seemed to be a bit tighter then my prior visits
Enjoyed the casino, but not paying for parking, that was not expected
Hotel was ok, it's an older hotel and my only regret was I should have specified not to have a room by the elevator. Also the bathroom fan did not work too well. American cafe had good food as well as the sports bar. I like the close proximity to the concert venue (went to see the scorpions).
Found bugs in my bed just before crawling in, went to hotel registration where the employee was extremely rude and I asked for his manager in which case he called security. I spoke with security for 20 to 30 minutes where I finally recieved a new room. I had to request a new floor as security have me a room in the same floor. security had moments of being rude. I never recieved a simple sorry for the problems
Easy check-in and great service. Clean, spacious room with wonderful views of the lake. Could use a bit updating but over a nice place to stay
We love Harvey's. Everyone is so nice and helpful, all the way down to housekeeping. It was a little different with the pandemic, but I knew it would be. It does help to get a Ceasars players card. Throughout the years we have accumulated free rooms, helps a bunch. You still have to pay resort fee. This trip 6 nights 200$. Had 5 free nights and just paid 59 dollars for 1. Can't beat that!!
The salad was great. Staff was extremely helpful and very friendly.
I was trying a new place in tahoe I usually stay at the ferraris crown resort which is always amazing I went with my mother in law and I regret trying this place staff had bad customer service very mean you have to pay for parking that's across the hotel and if you stay over night they will charge you the resort fee twice which was not explained to us at check in or on their website we thought it would only be a one time fee should tell people when they check in or when you make the reservation .
Nice location, amazing bathroom...but it wasn't what I was expecting, I guess, after staying in other hotels around the lake. Also, despite the tunnel that leads to Harrah's, there's no place to eat late.... it's a casino, restaurants should be open.
