Harvey's is a Great place to Play, Stay, Eat and Ski nearby. Love the History of the Wagon Wheel stop !
Loved the view from the room, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Poor selection of table games. Lots of slots and went to hells kitchen for dinner. Expensive but very good. Manager had good communication skills. People at the table before us was very slow and caused us to be seated 20 minutes after of time. She let us know what was happening and offered a drink for us. 4 stars for hells kitchen.
We absolutely LOVE Harveys! They really treat you great! I would definitely recommend Harveys!
Had a wonderful time at Harveys. While the hotel is certainly dated, the staff is beyond accommodating and extremely friendly. As my first time in Lake Tahoe the location was perfect for a ski getaway!
The most disappointing hotel I ve ever been. Says 4 star wouldn t even rate it as 3 star. We weren t provided with house keeping services for first two days inspite of asking for one. Even after calling 2-3 times they never turned up. No refrigerators, no microwave, nothing at all. Furthermore, parking situation wasn t explained that well by the front desk clerk. The access to rooms from self parking is cumbersome if u park at any level but 3. Wouldn t recommend this hotel to anyone.
Unfortunately had to stay here for 4 nights as I had pre booked
We love S. Tahoe and try to get up there every six weeks. Harvey s is our go to place to stay. Friendly staff, lake view rooms that are clean, The Sage Room has great food, it s a short drive to all outdoor activities and the hotel is walking distance to town.
Excellent service at Harvey's Casino...Good cuisine at the buffet..Love the view of the mountains ..
Good friendly service but problems with the room keys not working
Harvey's is a nice casino in the mountains, with great views of the lake. The dealers are friendly, the food is expensive but good, and overall it's a nice experience.
It is very hard to find a bottle of water after 6 PM. and there was some noise at night. it would be unbearable if your room is the near the elevator.
Good rate for a one night stay. Room was clean, food , gambling, was close. Would recommend for a place to stay.
We came to Tahoe over Christmas to get away. The room was nice, had a lake view and saw the star of Bethlehem clearly. The bed was comfortable and the staff was great. Not many people during covid, everything was clean and spaced out. Would come again and do it all the same.
The room decor was old and carpet was dirty. The website said our dogs would have dog treats and bowls. They lied none of that occurred. Also the TV was from 2000.
The rooms and view were great!
The slots were tighter than a freshman girl on prom night! It was remarkably unbelievable how absolutely NOBODY was winning anything!
Great speedy service! Kind and curtious staff and management...
Preferred over Harrahs just because of price difference. Same quality in my opinion for my taste.
So far so good. We booked a value room, which is small, but, it's a value room... The room is clean, and the bed is comfortable. The casino is dead at 6pm, but it's early May, so not exactly a peak season. We are eating at Cabo Wabo, the Wabo margherita is excellent. The Wabo pollo ecnchilladas are excellent!
Edit-our room was in the mountain tower, and was really old and noisey, with thin walls. A wedding party was staying in the rooms around us, and was being loud all night Someone was also smoking pot in one of the rooms and our room had a bad skunky smell to it that wouldn't go away. I asked for a new room, and we were moved to a nicer room in the Lake Tower. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating, saving our trip.
Nice casino. Spent money in the casino and then had to pay for parking. What a RIP off. Will not be back.
Was treated very poorly here. People are still racist and its 2019 man come on. I had the cops called on me just because i didnt look like myself on my id. The whole staff are very ridiculous. I woudlnt reccomend this place to anyone.
The rooms are not worth the cost. The beds are hard, curtains falling off, lights dont work and seriously not worth $415 for 2 nights. The taxes and Resort fees are ridiculous, it would be worth it if rooms were better maintained with that money but really not worth the money. I will say though, the house keeper, Lupe, she was sweet and caring I just wanted to hug her, we saw her multiple times in the hall and each time such a sweet smile asked how we are if we need anything and when we said no she would ask are you sure, towels anything, and then told us to have a good day, just so sweet.
Kinda outdated. The amount of dust on the wall in our room was absurd. The shower drain did not work and you ended up taking a shower in a full tub of water, we had 4 rooms and all were the same. Dirty and beat up. Not worth the money.
Bring your own water bottles and coffeemakers. Machines are paying
Been sitting at the bar losing a bunch of money, the bartender's name is Mark, and I'm having fun! Awesome bartender. Had a great time, even though I lost so much, still happy, thanks Mark.!
Great hotel! We were there for the Scorpions concert. Ever ting was awesome and I will go back here in the future!
The rooms were good, but hotel management tries to charge multiple times for services you already pay. They don't let clients enjoy their stay, as you have to constantly clarify the things they charge you for nothing.
Good room, clean and quiet. Lamps and fridge did not work though.
No table games during the day have to go to Harrah. Best gaming is there but Harvey's rooms and food are better
Stayed for 2 nights. It was walking distance to the village. Room was very clean. Would stay again.
A step below Las Vegas casinos. Dealers were nice. Hard to get a cocktail at the tables.
A little bit run down, but not too bad overall, and has most everything you need all in one place: many restaurants (with good availability and variety), a Starbucks, an outdoor heated pool and jacuzzi, a conference area, a decent gym, and a great arcade gaming center for the kids or the enthusiastic adults. Oh, and gambling, too. Location is excellent - short walk to 3 other big casinos and Heavenly Village. Plenty of parking, currently free. Pet-friendly on some floors, though you pay significantly more. But wow, were the room walls thin! And I'm not the type that usually complains about that. Guy next to us got mad at us for making too much noise, so he cranked up the music in his room for an hour in the morning, and you could hear that quite well at the elevators that were 5 rooms away.
The internet is EXTREMELY slow. After charging a daily $30 "Resort Fee" that is meant to include internet access, it is extremely slow and then they try to up-sell you to normal speed for an additional daily fee!
We have planned a vacation and stayed and also stayed here last minute. Loved it both times. Gamble and drink but dont eat at the american river cafe!!
Big casino. Great arcade. Lots of slot machines to choose from. Went to the improv comedy show. Great time!
Was able to write our name in the dust on the dresser & window ledge. Not our hair on the bathroom sink or tub and the floor had not been vacuumed. Ton of cords wadded up & hanging under the TV. Shower has standing water & did not drain.
Great room, great service. Can't wait to come back!
Booked on a whim when we couldn t find a campsite. Front desk employee Deb was EXTREMELY helpful, and even upgraded our room just for the night. She was courteous and very friendly. Would go back to Harvey s again if I came back to Tahoe!
Noisy... Executive room on the top floor and still noisy. Expected better rooms. Room safe didn't work. Everything felt outdated and worn out.
A last minute reservation led to a great night at this hotel as brief as our stay was. Jennifer at the front desk was very kind and upgraded us to the renovated side of the hotel..which was spacious, clean and had a very nice bathroom. Only complaint was the shower only put out luke warm water, which was kinda uncomfortable after a chilly day. Would stay here again
The front desk representative was argumentive stating that I should've booked through their website to get the best rates. I explained to her that I confirmed that through phone conversations I had with a Harvey's representative at the time of booking my room. She continued to state the same comments multiple times. The hotel itself has a lot of restrictions. The hotel is making up their own Covid policy which is not in line with state or federal regulations.
this is a good place to stay at on your vacation i really like this hotel i would like to come back
Very friendly dealers that were very helpful, teaching me how to play Craps
Just went to gamble. They have alot of machines to play on.
Booked a king size bed room with a view . The lady in the front desk extremely rude ,I saw how she was judging me. And told her what I had booked prior to going to the room and told me yes it s going to be a great room .upon going to the room I saw it was a queen size room and this hotel is definitely not 4 star hotel . It was a tiny room with a view of the roof facing . Nothing as shown on the picture or as booked . Not going back there . The carpets are dirty . The bathroom was filthy . I would avoid this hotel!!
I come here often to play poker. It's the only poker room in town. Even though I live in South Lake Tahoe, I also stay in the hotel a couple times a year. The property offers me a free room so why not stay. The amenities are pretty good and I like the restaurant Hells Kitchen. I also like the fact that there is a Starbucks on the property and one across the street at Harrahs.
Spacious room but very outdated and not the cleanest. Not to mention the stench of smoke was strong. Close to restaurants, activities, and lake!
Stayed for nights with my husband for the weekend loved it! Clean rooms good service we will definitely be coming back.
Lake Tahoe is beautiful but very expensive. The hotel room was basic for being the premium room. Most of the hotel smells like cigarettes. Everything seemed dirty. Didn't have a premium feeling at all. The slot machines were extremely tight. Lost 500 dollars in less than an hour. The bed was comfortable. The staff were very courteous.
Newly remodeled rooms. Everything you've grown to love about Harvey's.
I have been a regular here for nearly 15 years. Love Harvey's/Harray Tahoe.
If you find yourself staying at Harveys ask for a lake view room. The view is spectacular all the snow covered mountains in the lake.
The steakhouse I feel is a bit overpriced for the quality of the food but the services is exceptional so I think you break even there. I'm actually quite glad they closed down the Hard Rock, it always annoyed me that you couldn't use comps there.
The comedy club is a must, and they have the best arcade around (yes arcade, not casino) you lose less cash in the arcade ;)
Just passing through the casino to get to Gordon Ramsey's "Hell's Kitchen". Harvey is outdated, smoky, and seems boring.
Very friendly staff, clean casino, nice rooms, a cut above the Reno vibe!
Harvey's used to be a good place to stay, but now you pay to self park, pay to valet, dont forget resort fees. If you're a card player and play a lot, then you're okay they just take from your points. Room was equipped with bare necessities. Not the place we were used to staying at.
All the tables were closed all day, then when they opened the minimum bet for everything was no less than $25.. would have stayed somewhere much nicer to have to pay that much to gamble..
Employees are wonderful. I was incredibly disappointed with the accommodations. There burnt out lights. When asked to be replaced , the bulbs were merely moved from one light to the other so one light was still out.
The furniture is very old and beat up.
The parking fees for hotel guests is ridiculous. There should be no charge. Especially since the room fee is exhorbently high.
I had wanted to stay at Harvey's for years and finally had the opportunity. I don't think I will stay at any Ceasar owned properties again.
I came here and gambled. Didn't stay at the rooms. Decent experience.
Great location. One of the best view Hotel. Bang for your buck. One thing they lack is kettle and a microwave.
Good until we left. Parking structure and finding the appropriate exit was frustrating!
At first we were placed in a room that was by the elevators. I thought it wouldn't be a big deal but the noise was intolerable. Thankfully the front desk people fixed it and moved us to another room. Although this room lacked a view it was perfect. Comfortable and spacious. The hotel is in a perfect location as well and close to heavenly and the village. Will definitely return.
Hell's Kitchen had excellent service and food! Great dessert presentation!
3.5 clean & comfortable...but don't feed me the lie " we went ahead and upgraded your room for free"..which means? No mini fridge, no microwave and no coffee maker. Cigarette odor still penetrated through the room.
Very rude and nasty employees. I will go anywhere but there.
Hate to give a low score, but the coffee machine in the poker room has been broken for a week. Seems that should have a high priority.
