Best thing ever : two bathrooms. Yes. Two bathrooms in our room! With 2 boys, that was amazing. Worst thing : the pool is old and they allow kids in the hot tub and nobody enforces rules.
Overall great casino. We played a few table games and ate dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe inside Harvey's. Staff was very polite, reasonable prices for drinks. Had a great time and will return.
Disappointed that they do not have live Keno anymore
Room was nice and clean... staff was friendly... nothing exciting... but pleasant
OK casino. Easy parking and not too crowded. Nice way to unwind!
Hotel is clean, lots to do. Starbucks in lobby. The whole place has an older feel to it. Lots of people bring their dogs here. And is a 1 or 2 minute walk to the ski gondola.
Wendover to Harrah's for dinner and decided that for $26 the buffet had maybe something I would like. Now, I wasn't looking for a five-star meal by any stretch of the imagination however that is probably the worst dining experience I've had in years. The food was similar to the cafeteria I went to in college in the prime rib was horrendously tough. Everything I found was either soaked in grease or cold and dry. Obviously I would never eat here again and I'm very disappointed that this was at a Harrah's.
Great service friendly staff great rooms five star
Favorite music venue of all the casino ones I have attended. The weather is perfect.
The smoke residue is pretty strong and needs updating for sure. Don't think they should be charging for parking either or should validate at least
Best place to go to when you visit it has the most amazing view
Hotel is old but fairly well kept. Bed was not positioned to take advantage of view but it was lovely if you sat by the window. Don't drink or gamble much so can't comment on the bars or casino.
Good rooms, expensive buffet, especially for kids (Up to $25, will they eat a lot? Nope)
Good hotel, good staff, could use better dining options
Went for the arcade and drinks and to gamble a bit. Arcade is outdated and aimed specifically at kids. Casino floor has just about anything you want to play and bars are a good place to sit and drink and play
We stood in harveys hotel, perfect clean beautiful, lake view room with cheap price, Casino is nice, no needs a lot of money if you not gambler and you are here for fun,,
We reached there at 17:30 the rooms weren't ready. Finally at 18:30 we went inside to find out the light in the bathroom doesn't work, it took 45 minutes to get the maintenance. Then the bath stopper don't work so the maintenance man took one hour to fix we had to tell him to call it the night.
Gambled for an hour, cocktail servers were very friendly and attentive.
Don't waste your money staying here.
The hotel rooms are really run down. Mold in the showers, stains on the couches(hoping it wasn't a semen!), water damage all over, light cover missing in bathroom, poor maintenance, cheap polyfill pillows and the mattresses were sunken in the middle so nobody slept well. And this was an "executive level" room!
You might expect this at a cheap hotel, not a $300/night hotel.
The Forest Buffet was excellent. Prime rib and great cheesecake!
This is our first time in Lake Tahoe. And first time ever writing the review. My husband has a Dental CE Class in this hotel. First of all, there is no coffee pot in the room. Second, we have three people and have 2 bathrooms. Only one bathroom have shampoo and conditioner. Hotel charged $25 for valet every day. The most ridiculous thing is the WiFi. It s free (not really free, they charged you $28 for resort fee and it s included in that) but only 2 devices at a time (basic package) and if you don t know and accidentally logged into 3 rd device . Even though the other were logged out for the 3 rd device to log in. You are locked out for 24 hours. And get charged for $9.99 per day for the premium package for the 3rd device. So when I couldnt logged in the WiFi and I called the WiFi support center and that s what they told me the whole WiFi thing. And the customer service were not very nice at all. I was so angry with their attitude and hung up. About dining for the breakfast at American restaurant on the second floor. The experience I had was not good either. I ordered house salad with 2 eggs. The menu said mixed green . The salad came out with dried stale room temperature iceberg lettuce. The no nutrition, cheapest lettuce ever. The entire experience in Nevada was the worst ever. People in Nevada were not warm and friendly. The only thing I can think of is from dealing with people are loosing money in the casino too much and inhale all the horrible ciragettes smoke. Lake Tahoe is so beautiful but the environment of the people around are ruining the entire state. Will never come back to Nevada ever again even though the lake is breathe taking. Wouldnt spend a penny here again.
Fun machines, attentive hosts and no lines, overall thoroughly enjoyable time.
This place is a dump to put it nicely! The front desk is pretty unfriendly. Upon checking in the gave us nothing about the hotel. So we knew nothing about what they even had here. Once we got to their so called "Luxury" room I asked everyone if they saw anything luxurious about the room. It's filthy, there's trash and pills on the carpet, the pillows are like old warn feather pillows, there is dust accumulated on the headboards. Don't plan on using wifi, especially if you have kids they allow 2 devices all additional are $9.99! Tonight the tv doesn't work and they aren't even willing to compensate their guests. I have never been in a place I found so discussing in my life! I don't know where all these glowing reviews are coming from unless they have paid people to write nice things about them. I will never stay here again!
I had 18. The blackjack dealer drew 16, then hit a 3 .
The room looked like what you could find a cheap motel. We had to pay extra to upgrade to a decent looking room.
Dropped in the other day I'm gambled a quick 50 bucks I didn't win anything this time but have won here before the view from the restaurant Up in a higher floor of the building is very beautiful especially when it's snowing food is ok.
Room was not good, actually was given a room occupied by another guest. The staff was very nice and happy
The casino is a little old. They opened it up by removing some machines so it's not too cranked anymore. I went to the Improv for a Sunday show. They don't let us regular folks at in the booths. Still, we got there rest enough for a seat at the counter.
Worst place I have ever stayed. They did not Evan have soap in the entire total. They promised lake view when I booked the room but what I got was a view of the parking lot. NEVER AGAIN WILL I STAY THERE!
Not much of a gambler, stopped in while on a walk and then dropped $10 on an old school NOT digital quarter machine, that lasted about 20 minutes, then installed $20 on an old mechanical dollar slot (always play max machine bet) and that lasted about ten minutes. Saw one cocktail waitress, never offered anything, water would have been nice!! The tables seemed pretty busy for a Monday night but the slots, so so many ridiculous digital penny slots!!(YUCK, HATE THEM!!) Btw, a short distance on the California side... Heavenly Village is nice if not a tad douche!
I have stayed in this casino/hotel numerous times over the last 5 years and this would be the first time I felt I should take the time to leave a review.
I have had my "run ins" with the front desk staff at hotels and completely DREAD it! I have always made sure to avoid them and get to the hotel early by making it time to get to the diamond check in for the VIP. I have traveled ALOT between casino hotels over the last 8 years from Las Vegas, Reno, Biloxi, MS, Iowa, Pennsylvania, Atlantic City, and Tahoe.
Well last night was the first time I had one of those "run ins" with the front desk staff.
I had an issue with than individual here at the hotel and also had some questions pertaining to things in my room.
Kathryn and Clyde were at the front desk. They both engaged in conversation with me and not only handled any concern, question, or issue I had with speed and precision, but they also spoke to me like a person and not "just a guest" checking in and appearing as though they were just doing their job and then going home.
They offered the type of service that we get in the VIP sections of the hotel and they had no idea I was even a Seven Stars player with Total Rewards (which was very nice to NOT have to flash a card to get exceptional service).
These 2 employees I am sure are a good reason why alot of people tend to come back to this hotel/casino. They definitely have changed my opinion about the front desk employees.
I am going to post this review on other sites so potential guests can see this service as well.
Thank you Kathryn and Clyde!!
Nice casino and bars, very busy during the weekends but that's to be expected. Would definitely go back.
Outdated casino conveniently located near heavenly. Food at the Hard Rock is mediocre.
It has an extraordinary buffet restaurant food, beautiful views
Pleasant staff and convenient location. Some of the decor could use an update though.
Decent casino, but a bit outdated and not very clean.
I must have gotten here at the wrong time. Couldn't see the lake because of all the haze in the air from the fires, and got tired of being told about my mask when I was in the middle of taking a drink. You do get harassed alot up here. Can't enjoy yourself anymore. I was at San Diego Harrahs, Vegas, the past three weeks that is doable but up here no way. My daughter was in the middle of taking a smoke and got harassed over the mask. No thank you, we decided to leave early. They don't need our money that bad. Taking out the vending machines was a bit too much too. No one is getting covid by a vending machine. Geesh Harrahs a bit overboard don't you think?
My family and I were staying nearby and decided to come and check out Harrah's. The casino was clean and in order. Like many casinos, it smelled of cigarettes. The staff was kind enough to show my child and I the location of the arcade which is where I spent most of my time. The arcade was clean and most of the machines were up and running. The only downside was that the kiosk that exchanges tickets for prizes was closed...I guess that means we will have to make another trip in the future. All in all, I enjoyed visiting and would recommend this place to people of all ages.
Forest buffet is the best for food, view and service.
Well, not much has changed since I've been there last, whick was 19 years ago. It's the same.
Casino was Clean. Not sure why paying for parking was necessary on certain nights.
We had a nice stay at Harrah s Casino
At Lake Tahoe.
We had a standard room at the hotel was full we could not get a suite. It was a great room clean with a good view facing west.
We could see the mountains the sunrise the lake and the sunset.
The water was hot and the water pressure was strong. The sage restaurant service was good and the food was also good. We do not gamble but we did enjoy other admit it is in the hotel. Had a short walking distance to the ski lift.
The fopd was very good, and worth the price. They offer a wide selection of foods, and the service is pretty good.
The rooms are nice. Only thing is that parking is 13 dollars a day even if you are an overnight guest.
I stayed on the 17 th floor, the view of lake tahoe was BREATHTAKING !!
AWESOME SERVICE, w good employees and very clean room
It's aging a bit but still a great place to stay in South Lake Tahoe.
Stayed at Harvey's which is part of the complex Rooms are dirty and the entire casino reeks of cigarettes. Non smoking room smelled like someone was smoking hams in it the week before Bartender told me I was not losing enough money to get comped drinks Booked 2 nights but only stayed one Stay away
