Best HOSPITAL & customer service....so glad I have access
My son attends UAB. It's one of the best Universities in the world. Caring faculty and staff. Great resources that prepare student for life after college.
These guys saved my life. They never stopped checking on me. The physical therapist were two of the best.
Been going there for the last two years great people very sweet and friendly does their best to help you
Went there for the first time ever on 1/25/21. I babysit 3 boys 5, 3 & 1yr old brothers. The youngest ones both have medical issues & I went with their mom to take them for a checkup. When I say that I've never seen a more caring staff, and I mean from the cafeteria workers to desk clerks to Dr's....I mean it! The nurses & physicians (sincerely) pay attention to *every word you say to them & every question you ask! It's extremely apparent how much they care about their patients and that's hard to find anywhere!!! I love these kids as if they were my own & I'm so happy that they are in such loving, capable hands
How nice are the very kind nurses yoles I give 5 stars
I was admitted on August 31st for hip replacement surgery. The surgery went great. Food was fantastic. But their social worker was a pain. First they told me point blank I'd have to pay for half the surgery. It's a considerable amount of money
After we cleared that part up,she tried to put us on the hook for the home medical equipment I needed. Our insurance rep had to call and get really ugly with her. He had to go through 5 or 6 people before he talked to her. I'm already looking for other health care professionals to get help from. Its a shame because UAB is the best in the area
I made it!! With Angie Green!! She's feeling good :),,
Keep in mind that I am only a 2nd semester sophomore at this point, but I love this school a lot. I love that the campus exists right in the middle of Birmingham. I never have to walk far to get to anything. All of my professors thus far have been genuinely helpful and friendly people. The only real complaint I have with UAB is the communication. A great example is right before the semester started. I was waiting for an email for what felt like forever about when we were going to be able to move back in (COVID restrictions and the like) and I never got any information. Eventually, about 2 days before the semester started I got a message from my RA with next to no information other than that I had to get a COVID test before moving back in.
Ong waiting at pharmacy due 2 covid-19 and social distancing protocols
This is a large University with buildings for education, training, an emergency room and a hospital - must be specific in where you plan to visit to obtain feedback.
Good university with billion dollar research funding. Weather is good.
This University as well as the hospital(especially the main hospital) is doing an amazing job. Thank you UAB for ALL that you guys are doing.
Everyone was nice and friendly. No long waiting period. Was seen before appointment time and got my parking validation with no hassle.
UAB is a dedicated and superior health care facility.
Highlands was the nicest people before and after surgery
Better suited for grad school more than anything else.
This is not in Birmingham. Was enrolled here, had to cross the Atlantic for my studies. Ver fishy place
I only attended UAB for a few courses, but I loved every minute of it. I took the Mock Trial class taught by Nathan Mays, and it positively changed my life in so many ways. I also took Physics at UAB and got to interact with several students in the class and laboratory setting. They are truly very hardworking, bright people from every walk of life. I really appreciate the university and the opportunity it gave me to attend. This school is definitely making a positive difference in Birmingham!
Great campus! Lots to offer! Need more food places within close walking distance. The blocks are long for walking and eventually Purple Onion and Al's become tiring. But if you have a car then that's nothing to worry about. The school's cafes and eateries are nice so overall you won't go hungry. Plenty of productive things to get involved within the campus. REC Center is a must! There should be another Starbucks to be placed somewhere else on campus maybe that will come with the new student center next year. Sterne Library is great place to study and meet up with friends and classmates. Just choose a floor and study without distraction. So far nice faculty and staff that follow great procedure with helping their students to succeed in higher education and beyond.
I cannot believe that, "Dr" Sarah Parcak, a professor at this university would say this about Rush Limbaugh. I though someone like you, that should be highly educated, would be smarter than this... This is a poor representation of you and the University at which you work at.
You should be ashamed of yourself, and so should the university!! How could you say this about a persons death. When RBG passed you did not the other side do this.
You need to be fired!
If there is negative, I would choose that. I called guest service 4 times the whole afternoon, but the lady there constantly directed me to other numbers and doesn't know how to handle the issue. The whole afternoon, no one knows how to handle that issue.
Now I have to call again to reset the portal information.
I have no complaints. My son had surgery and everyone was so nice. They catered to his every need. He didn't want to leave he loved it so much.
After driving to get here at 4:00am in severe weather, there are not enough seats in both the admissions waiting area and also the pre-op waiting area. We had to stand. Not great, especially with my husbands heart surgery ahead of us. The staff here are not exceptionally nice either... not impressed with UAB.
I like my school for the most part. However, I have recently encountered two staff members (Rachel Anderson and Angelin Price) who, instead of trying to provide options to an issue I had experienced, proceeded to accuse me of being at fault simply because they didn't know how to help me. But I guess it is my fault for expecting to receive any substantial aid from the department relevant to my issue on the account of a couple employees with subpar expertise and bad phone etiquette... I just want to feel like a valued student. Oh.. and parking is also horrible.
The best place in the world to go when you're sick and or healing. The Doctors and the whole care team are so caring and understanding
Very nice employees that pretty much know their job. Parking is tight but ok. Signage is very good.
I HATE this school and im only a Sophomore. I paid over a thousand dollars for the schools insurance last year and only now did i learn from debt collectors that it wont cover a hospital visit from being HIT BY A CAR ON CAMPUS which the campus police never contacted me back about nor did anyone care, and it didnt cover two other sick visits to urgent care. I have been bullied, disrespected, and ridiculed at this school since my second day of moving to the south and i am DONE. This school RUINED my southern experience. They try their hardest to suck money out of you. Time to transfer
Every single time I am on this campus I experience something New!!Always evolving as a visitor very educational informative and beyond Awesome experience!! To the Physicians nurses and other essential employees Keep up the EXCELLENT care !
After two degrees, I can say UAB has been a truly great experience for me. I was heavily involved with campus life during my undergraduate time here, and continue to support the university and the Blazers to this day. It is a dynamic, progressive, diverse and growing campus that sits on the south side of downtown Birmingham (plenty to do!) that I am proud to be a part of. If you are looking for something different than the stereotypical "old" southern university, this is it.
Hi every one
Do's This UN. have a chemical engineering department?
I love this place because my mom works here and she saved my best friend's mom when she couldn't breath
I took a friend there to the recovery resource center. The staff are attentive, helpful and professional.
Everyone and everything was exceptionally professional and very friendly. The whole experience was great.
had a blood sugar episode tonight...went to UAB HIGHLANDS ...they ve always taken great care and convern whenever Ive gone there. Keep up the great work ...WE NEED YALL.
I am premed at UAB. The business teachers I have met are really helpful. They are always willing to help. I would recommend them to people.
Hard-working and broad-minded people who love their values of freedom and honesty.
Professional staff. Only problem is the day surgery waiting room was nasty. It hadn't been swept for quite a while.
Came in paralyzed from the waste down 4 months later I was discharged with 6 rods 24 screws andade 3 steps to the truck. God is good!
Best drs. Thanks for 9years of being honest reliable and helpful during all our care and stays. Very caring this hospital's staff goes above and beyond.
UAB hospital is top notch with friendly staff and clean comfortable facilities.
Most Amazing Experience from the PICU team here! Our Family Went Through A Very Hard Time And Their Intellect And Compassion Was A Big Part Of Our Success!
This college town food joint has some good features about it. It's relatively clean and the chicken fingers are pretty good. The prices are extremely high though and the proportions you get are small and the equal to the price you pay. The workers there all have an attitude and are all super sassy. Rolling of the eyes and annoyance facial expressions. Not just with one worker but with all of them. The staff needs to get an attitude check fast. So all in all, food was that bad, service was awful, and prices are really high, small proportions of food, and the food delivery was slow. The W.O.W. is named that because you say it after you eat the food and give the sassy workers all of your money. Like WOW, I can't believe we ate here.
Dr. Sherrill was very helpful with positive, straight forward information.
Ever faithful, ever loyal. Lots of fond memories from my undergrad days.
Comprehensive services provided by a large variety of health specialists.
I'll want to thank you for I'm not going to UAB and I'm already graduating for high school diploma and class of 2007.
Everyone is always so nice. We were in and out quick. Been coming here for yrs. We drive 5 hrs just to see the drs here.
The Doctors here are the best, my husband has been coming here for a year now for his cancer treatments and we wouldn't think of going anywhere else. Great job guys and gals!!!
It is indeed a great place to study and work. Campus is also very nice.
They are being very health-conscious interest at this time in the pandemic. Which made me feel very safe! Thank you for all the hard work they do!!
Had to take daughter to UAB. She was admitted. Great place. Great staff.
