Big hotel. Took me a while to find the right exit (to the Main Street). Room is dark, heater turns on and off with a bang. Neighbors were so loud (on a Monday night), blasting music in couple of the rooms, walking and yelling in a hall all night.
This could not be a 4 stars hotel. Same standard as a 2 stars. Carpet and curtain are super old and dusty. Bed is not comfy at all. Waste of money.
Chose Harvey's because we planned to eat at Hell's Kitchen inside the property. The stay went well, with no hiccups. Parking was free, however, no valet available like before due to pandemic. The room was really nice, and seems to have been updated in recent years. The view overlooks the lake, and was beautiful. The bathroom was huge. Bed was comfy, and showers were good. Only thing that didn't work was the safe. Other than that, the check in and out was seamless, and the workers were all accomodating. Hell's Kitchen is a MUST when visiting this property, for it was delicious!
Not my favorite place. Mediocre service. Very expensive. Low class.
You have to pay to park there 12/15$ a night even if you are staying at the hotel, that doesnt seem right to me but we go because the room rates arent bad (we usually get a good groupon deal for rooms) and its a good location for everything, we always have a stroller with two kids and its nice that we can walk to the beach, shopping, food....
Stayed for the Marine Corp ball. Hotel and Casino was amazing. Beautiful room with a beautiful view of the lake. Amazing staff and quick assistance. Parking was a bit odd. A ton of things to do working walking distance.
From the moment I walked in, all of the staff were very welcoming and wanting to help us enjoy our time here. I love that I have everything in the hotel for nightlife and drinking. It is very awesome!
Just went to Harvey's to go to the arcade. Lots of the games were broken and the prize area was practically empty. Not worth it.
Been coming here scene 1980s I was a kid with my father. Now I took my family, wife & 3 kids up for the weekend.
Hotel is as I remembered it. But some things inside of the room are run down. Desk light bulb was burned out. Heat lamp in main bathroom was also. Large Beds are good pillow soft bathroom linings are good clean.
Check in is great. Staff has lots of information on rooms, prices for both Harvey's and Harrahs being more.
Parking is ok for regular size vehicles, but if you have a mild lifted truck or suv there could be an issue. I didn't want to valet $16 per day parking because I wanted to park outside on the lot which they gone away from but had open parking across at Harrahs which is still self pay park at $8 per night.
The only other option will be to park on the side of the Harrahs garage. I didn't want to leave my big SUV there in the open. So opt for self park after asking valets if the hight limit to enter the garage was accurate 8.6 ft clearance. Self pay park $8 per day was ok with me. My SUV will be safe & just barely fit into the garage at Harvey's where we stayed.
Harrahs food court is pricey.
They have Hamburgers, pizza / pasta, & Chinese. 2 hamburgers with fries and drinks @ $35
Wife & youngest child ate Chinese food @ $23. Orange chicken and egg rolls & I haven't even ordered anything yet.
Harvey's is good for kids with their big arcade game room.
Harrahs also have a big arcade too within good walk distance from each other through the underground walkway. Also as we walked through both of the casinos. Harrahs seemed to have more cigarette smoke in the air than anywhere at Harvey's. So Harvey's was a plus for kids sake.
Harrahs is more modern over all. You will feel the atmosphere change as you walk from Harvey's to Harrahs.
We had a good times over all.
Lamest hotel in the Caesar chain. Old hotel casino which is in great need of a remodel. Easy internet check in; check in kiosk is super easy. Rooms are clean. Internet is dial up slow (no wonder why its free they force you to but the premium which is only slightly faster if it works). Customer service is great.
Room looks shabby, carpet feels dirty, mold growing in the corner in the bathroom. Altogether, not a 4* experience.
Corner room was spacious with views of the lake and golf course. Great location and short walk to just about everything.
Harvey's is actually, ok. The attendance on telephone are very unprofessional. I can't believe they're us no room service. That's kinda weird. Other than than my remarks, it's just ok
Not a bad place to stay but could use a remodel or updates.
Love Harvey's South Lake Tahoe! Nice clean rooms with beautiful views. Definitely visit again in the future.
Very upsetting to find out that I was charged an extra $80 for having another adult in the room when i was on vacation with my wife and 2 children. Add that plus the $30 a night with resort fees. My 2 night stay @ 140 a night turned into $480! The Internet that was included in my $30 a day resort fee's was so slow I ended up using my phone as a hotspot instead. It was a nice stay but I think I'll be looking somewhere else without so many hidden charges.
I like the room I was staying in, it was clean and comfortable. I only have one complaint though, on my reservation, it said that check out is at 12:00 pm, but when I asked a staff member for confirmation, she said it is actually at 11:00 am, which was a little inconvenient. I just wish they would have notified me sooner.
Very nice hotel, I like it very much, although If you have babies crawling or just walking, you should ask for a more thorough cleaning before leaving them on the floor.
Rooms are pretty decent. Actually nothing great but gave it a 5-star rating just for the view. It is spectacular. I don't think any other hotel can give you such a brilliant view of the lake and the mountains both. It's really close to the Heavenly Village which is really nice to explore in the evenings.
One of the classic Tahoe casino's. It is connected with Harvey's with an underground tunnel which is convenient in winter to go between casino's without having to go outside. Also one of the only spots for late night food in Tahoe!
Wonderful customer service, good rooms and good fun!
Some of the beauty of Lake Tahoe area could be viewed. Room, standard delux. No frills
And masking is paramount everywhere. Alittle disappointing, but that's not just Harveys.
Would not reccomend this place to anyone. Rooms are dirty staff is unfriendly and the food sucks. Not only that but i sense that some people were racist.
The arcade was awesome and the parking garage was free.
Exciting, yet comfortable, atmosphere. I highly recommend the Sage Room- fine dining, excellent service.
Inexpensive room and lots of fun. 18th floor breakfast at 10pm for $5 Is great!
Not only you loose money in the Casino (which is expected), but also you have to pay for both self and valet parking top dollars. A big turn off.
If your want the crack head experience in glorious Tahoe, this is the place for you! Sure they do a nice tower, but for the average family they put you in the run down, dog peed soak, Tower. They charge for parking , resort fees and anything else they can think of! I go to Tahoe a lot and stayed next door at the hard rock ! The Hard Rock was a hundred times nicer, free parking and just altogether a better experience! For the same price or cheaper!!
It had a clean and comfortable bed and that's about it.
Cons: Hidden "resort fee" plus paid parking; pool was unlit; spa was lukewarm, had a low water level, and was surrounded by trash e.g. food containers, drinks, bottles, cans; sauna was not working correctly; some lights in the room did not work; no late night food options; and dated interior.
Pros: Bed was comfortable; staff were friendly.
I have fond memories of coming here as a kid; I thought that we would stay here during a quick visit to Heavenly. It is a shame however that it's not much like it used to be. Stay at one of the cute lodges on the California side instead.
The hotel staff is not very nice. I like the sports book and poker room . really weak poker players at 4-8 table and 2-3. Once again the hotel staff needs to put a smile on there face.
No parking in the evenings garage was completely full. Casino is very old and musty smelling. Arcade was great, prizes not so much. Restaurant joes bar or something along those lines were good and staff was great at the restaurant.
no coffee That is complementary... You pay a great deal to stay in their rooms and gamble at their machines but no complementary coffee for hotel geusts or gamblers.... Bummer. The pool was really nice though...
We have stayed here nearly every time we come, and have yet to be disopointed.
Cool old school hotel/casino. Nice rooms, great price& great housekeeping!
Doesn't have many black jack tables! Went on Sunday night.
Quick room service when requested some more towels and sheets, the rooms were overall clean but lacked some modern touches.
Old and in need of updating. Restaurant opportunities minimal. Noise from elevators 24/7. Very disappointing.
Went there two days in a row. Honestly, doubt I will ever go again, but I did walk out with $100 of there money
Love the place beautiful scenery mountains full of snow that my husky boy enjoy
I stayed 2 days in this hotel the first day they gave me a renovated and clean room the second day they gave me a very old and bad quality room it is very dirty and disgusting they did not clean the bathroom it has fungus and it is very bad and they say it is 4 stars does not reach even one ...
Motel 6 is a thousand times better
I do not recommend it take care of your family and your Money ...
Not well lit. Very old looking. Tiny Sports Book. The other Casinos are much better.
So me and my family spent 3 nights at harveys in lake Tahoe. We booked from Priceline we weren't told anything about a resort fee that they charge when we had booked the rooms. Anyways when we got to the hotel we were given a discounted room because we booked with Priceline. By discounted they mean that they give you a old room in the old part of the hotel that comes with no amenities. No coffee maker or a refrigerator. In a two star hotel this is just some basic stuff and this is supposed to be a 4 star hotel. I could over look these things if that was all but these rooms looked like they haven't been cleaned at all. The rooms were filled with dust urine still on the toilet seats and we even found some dry urine on the bed covers. The floors hadn't been vacuumed. The bathtubs didnt even drain properly when we took a shower the water filled up it was disgusting. The funny thing about this is when we first checked they had told us to wait 2 hours because our rooms were being clean. I dont know what they were doing but there was no way that they cleaned the room. All and all we will not be coming back to this hotel. Its so disappointing because we liked the fact it had a casino but the rooms always come first.
I like the place and it's fine because they have for the whole family
Nice casino & hotel. Our room was really nice. 3 stars because they failed to mention the $49 resort fee in addition to the $79 room rate we were only told about. ***Should've mentioned, we did not book online. We got our room the old-fashioned way, at the front desk.
Its a nice casino however there was no party going on, no live music and it was hard to find a cocktail waitress. So it was an overall medium well experience.
Ken at the front desk is amazing! We got in so late and he was so wonderful, accommodating and knowledgeable! Thank you Ken for everything!!!
EXCELLENT !!
FAIR.
I WENT FOR MY BIRTHDAY !
Came home with thousands !
Solid hotel rooms and casino. Very reasonable priced and walking distance to Heavenly ski resort. Helpful front desk employees. There's a Starbucks and a Cinnabun on the grounds!
No valet, no room service nothing but lots of gambling, which was fun
went here for the conference WACV 2018. Nice hotel with clean rooms at cheap price. The location was really really good with lots of eateries inhouse as well as outside. Rooms were well maintained.
This is the place of beauty so much to see and enjoy
I love this place for staying when I ski. Super affordable and they are modernizing thebuoper floors into decent rooms.
Cannot say how much I disliked my experience a this hotel. Check-in was impersonal, with the person helping us simply saying we needed to pay $20 to park and that the resort fee would cover wifi (um, why isn't that just included?). For almost $200 a night, I expected a luxurious room. We got something slightly above the Motel 6 range: stains on the carpet, chipped furniture, broken clock radio, unraveling carpet, and food still left in the refrigerator. When we asked for a different room, we got one that at least was clean, but had paint peeling off the bathroom ceiling. The carpet in the new room was at least new (albeit chemically), but this hotel was not a fun nor relaxing experience for us. We had to go afar to find food, I had to sit by the window to charge my phone, and parking in their parking lot was dark and scary. It felt like a hotel that desperately wants to stay open. It's clear that it treats its high rollers well, but we will never stay here again. I regret that I paid so much for such a mediocre experience.
Went for the comedy show which was great! The rest of the casino was alright. Not terrible but, nothing spectacular.
Other services are good and excellent but housekeeping system was not.
We are scheduled to check out Sunday at 11 am but at 8:20 housekeepers were knocking in our door checking if were still inside for them to clean it. We were sleeping still and they said SOP for them to check coz others are still not check out but physically left.
I talked to the manager and told me the same thing. Told me that i should have put the do not disturb. The thing is they do not have the do not disturb paper that i can put by the door. I can understand them if they to it Atleast close to check out hour. Poor service. I can t recommend.
We stayed one night in the hotel and enjoyed the pool and spa, some gambling and dining. The restaurant on the 19th floor was amazing, with scallops the size of my fist! They served a bowl of pink cotton candy at the end of the meal. What fun! Our view room on the 10th floor gave us a spectacular view of Lake Tahoe.
Unfortunately, I have to subtract one star for cleanliness on our room. Under the curtains were crushed potato chips the maid had failed to clean up from the prior guests and more frightening, we found a half of a Valium on the carpet where a child could have picked it up and eaten it!
Stayed there every year for several years!! Love it!
Cara made the best drinks! Served cold beer. Also won playing video poker
Declining run down hotel and casino with poorly trained staff; especially security. It s currently managed by Caesars Entertainment who has a long history of mismanagement. Right now they don t care. They are on their way out. ElDorado Resorts is buying them out in 2020. Things should improve but not for awhile. ElDorado Resorts manages and owns the Mont Blue across the street. The difference is striking.
