I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment time. I was helped promptly and was greeted with a cheerful smile and positive attitude. I chose to wait while my first 10,000 mile service was done on my 2016 Transit Cargo Van. Harper Ford has a very clean comfortable waiting area with free WiFi. The wait time was reasonable for the work done. I had worked for the Alfred Matthews Cadillac dealer in Modesto California for two years in the past so I am very familiar with good, prompt service and wait times. My experience at Harper Ford during this occasion was outstanding and above reproach!

I was able to get in about 15 minutes prior to my appointment. The service guys took my car in for an oil change and general look-see of my 2012 Ford Focus. They said it would take an hour, so I went to the waiting area. It was clean and quiet, and didn't have a TV blaring in there, which I appreciated. The Van driver came by at least three times to check if we needed to go anywhere, but my car was ready in about 50 minutes. Everyone I encountered was friendly and helpful, and I was back on the road to Thanksgiving in San Jose. I can't recommend these guys enough for quick, efficient service.

Called at 11:30 from Coos Bay OR. 2 other Ford dealers had told me they couldn't do my OIL CHANGE for 2 weeks! I asked Harper if they could do it and let them know where I was and that I was only traveling through on my way to Huntington Beach. They said no problem they are open until 5:30. I arrived at 4:30 to wait for and then search out someone to write up the oil change and get it done. 15min later was told they couldn't do it that all techs were gone for the day. This place is full of lazy liars. Go elsewhere for your Ford needs!

Especially with a newer high tech hybrid car, it's nice to get your regular maintenance at the dealer rather than a corner mechanic or chain lube shop. It's even nicer if you can get it for about the same price, which I've been able to do so far since Harper always sends a postcard with a coupon as a reminder when periodic service is coming due. It does take a bit longer, often several hours, but the service agent (Gio) was kind enough to arrange a ride home even though I'd just missed their regular hourly shuttle, and then when the car was ready for me to pick up the shuttle was at my house less than 10 minutes after I got the phone call. All in all it was a good value, reasonably convenient, no upsale pressure, and I have maximal confidence that my car is in good shape and ready to go where ever I need to go for another 7500 miles (again, it's a plug in hybrid so requires fewer oil changes since the engine doesn't run as much as a regular ICE vehicle).

I remember the day when you would take a car in to be serviced and they would put paper down so they didn't get the car dirty and they would even wash and vacuum your car. Outstanding sales and delivery experience from Travis Sherrod at Harper Ford in Eureka Calif. After contacting Three Ford dealerships close to home I decided to give Harper's a try. From our initial phone conversation I felt I was dealing with a "good guy" I basically knew what I was looking for, 2016 F150 Lariat, but was not sure about the many options available. Travis helped me through the decision making process. If he was not 100 percent sure about an option he would let me know, get the answer and call me back. No B.S. I ordered the vehicle over the phone having never met Travis or having never visited Harper Ford.
Travis kept me apprised of the status of the order and gave me a realistic delivery date. The truck came in one week earlier than expected.
When I arrived at the Dealership I was met by an extremely nice young man who turned out to be Travis. Somehow he knew who I was, perhaps Because I was on time for our appointment. I saw a beautiful F150 parked by the front door and it turned out to be mine. Travis went through the vehicle completely and demonstrated how all the options functioned, there were many. Before retiring I was in the automobile business for over 35 years. I could tell I made an excellent choice in choosing Harper Ford.

I would give no stars if possible. I bought my used escape from Harpers over a year ago, and bought the maintenances package that now I regret buying. I have taken my car there a total of 3 times. After buying the car I took it there for my first oil change so 5000 miles in and they told me I needed tires. I definitely wasn't buying my tires there so took it to a local tire shop ordered tires and came back to install. Well actually I didn't need tires had about 15000 miles left on them. 2nd time I went there they didn't tell me I needed tires but the numbers on the tread were totally different then the first time so I questioned it and left. Now the 3rd time I went there they told me I needed windshield wipers which I just bought myself at a local auto parts store and were working fine. They also said I needed a air filter which I could do myself. And this time I do need tires and they told me but I told them I wasn't buying them from the dealer. I will never recommend Harpers to anyone and never buy a used car from them again. However now I am stuck with this maintenance package that I will use till its over with and never go back there again.

Service department is excellent with good waiting room with coffee and small snacks. Sales experience was also excellent. I have a couple of complaints, one small and one that i am still angry about. The small one is that there was no blade on rear wiper east to miss but should have been noticed in pre sale inspection.My major complaint is finance department. I never carry my cheque book with me as i use my debit card which to me is as good as cash (if its not in your account you cannot spend it) SO I AM CHARGED FOR USING MY CARD, i should have walked away but after driving 90 miles to get the car and having to drive 90 miles back i was stuck in the moment. It is not my problem that their bank charges them so why should i pay REALLY PISSED ABOUT THIS.

I think this is a good place we just had some miscommunication. A new battery was put in my car and I was not informed about it until it was time to pay. I asked to have they old one put back in and they obliged and quickly did so. My back disc brakes were totally redone on this occasion. When I got the vehicle back I noticed that even on a slight uphill I would slide back ward when my ebrake was jammed up as far as I could put it. I called abo(ut it and they scheduled me an appointment within a few days to tighten it. Took nearly 3hrs to tighten it but I am now satisfied with the job. Thank you.

Really nice employees for the most part however very disappointed with my last experience. I brought my car in for a check up after getting a postcard reminder. I was told my front tires needed to be replaced within the next few weeks and to not drive out of the area. After bringing in my car a week later for the replacement and waiting for 2.5 hours for the work to be done, I was told that in fact my tires were fine and didn t need to be replaced. Why did it even take that long to determine? How does that sort of misdiagnosis happen? While waiting for the shuttle to bring me back to Harper I asked if I could get a discount on a tire replacement when I do actually need one and was told that might be difficult given I was asking for a price match for the tires. After wasting half of my day on something that I don t actually need, I don t think I ll ever be back. I should also mention that the lady shuttle driver never asked me how I was doing or really acknowledge my presence in any manner. Very strange.

I had really high hopes traveling from Crescent city over To Eureka Harper for for service, The repair was a little bit more than I had expected but those types of things do happen so I agreeingly and happily paid the $4700 to have my 2006 F350 back on the road, since it had been previously dumping coolant all over the roads, it took about a week to get the repairs finished, then I got the call that it was already to go. I paid the $4,700 plus tax and drove down to pick it up. I was so excited to finally have my truck back, but then I came out the next morning and some more coolant spilling on my driveway, so then we have another 85 mile tow back to Eureka, where I am then told by Harper Ford that and oil cooler has gone out on my vehicle, which apparently they didn't notice when they already had it exposed and were testing the coolant system as well as the oil system, I am also then told that I am looking at about another $1500 repair for the oil cooler , although oil coolers only cost about $350 for a manufacture direct ford Moto craft part, so apparently now I'm supposed to pay another $1150 of labor. initially I wasn't extremely upset until I spoke with various diesel mechanics who told me that since everything was already ripped up to change my oil pump which they just replaced, it wouldn't of took Hardly any extra time to take care of the oil cooler, two of the mechanics went as far as to laugh at the fact that any shop would do such a thing to someone. so now here I am with my leaky truck because I couldn't afford the other $1500 however I could have afforded the $350 for the oil cooler, if somebody would've just been paying attention. Now I almost wish I just would've sold it.

I always feel welcomed and well cared for. Also, the staff is very efficient and obviously works very hard. Since moving to Humboldt from Del Norte County, I commute to work an average of three days per week and drive 140 miles each of those days. But, they only had one airbag, even though both are recalled,
and I was told they would have both airbags for me today.
Nope.
So I got it there early for its 10:30 appointment.
I was told it would be ready in 2 hours.
A thief can steal an airbag in under 15 minutes.
I came back at 1:00.
The Mustang had not moved.
I went inside and informed the service writer that the two hours had passed.
I asked if my car were ready.
Well, no.
You see, they could not find the new airbag.
What?
So then the service writer that seemed to be in charge,
went looking.
Within minutes she found it.
What?
I was told it would be installed in an hour and a half.
Instead, it was ready in an hour.
But!
I was told I needed to bring it back
because a faulty low tire pressure sensor
was causing a light on the dashboard to flash on and off.
Uh, it had never flashed before.
Well, the service writer told me she had noticed it flashing
when she went out to ascertain the car's mileage.
? So your technician disconnected the battery,
and then disconnected something tied into the computer
but that has nothing to do with it?
It just died exactly when I turned the car off at your Service entrance?
Well, yes, it happens.
I do not think so.
However, when Service Manager Robert Barrera learned of this fiasco, he immediately took actions to remediate the situation to my complete satisfaction.

To the management of Harper Ford and whom it may concern,
I would like to give a well-deserved thank-you to a couple of members of the Harper Ford service team (Bill Lackey and Tracy Hanger) for overseeing and preforming repairs on my F-250. I first want to explain that any repair that cost 8000.00 plus, is not an easy repair to have done especially when you are 1800 miles from home. Mr. Lackey (Bill) was exceptionally supportive, he reminded me of many Project Mangers that I have dealt with all over the world while building DOD communication systems. He was very personable, professional and insured that all work that was going to be performed was needed and required to be performed. He did this using a team effort introducing me to my new best Mechanic Tracy Hanger!!! Both Tracy and Bill walked me through the effort explaining all options in a worst to best case scenario with costs attached to each scenario. This allowed me to decide which my best option for my predicament was. I had to travel back to southeast Arizona pulling my trailer. Even though the cost were substantial these 2 individuals were honest and up front on the work to be done and the time frame it would take to be done, allowing me to feel comfortable making my decision. The work was completed in a timely manner. Once the work was completed my trucks was test driven and it was noticed that my front right break was dragging. Tracy and Bill once again explained my options and the effect of not having the worked performed could cause if I did not have the work done.
I am glad they found this because my Mechanic here in Sierra Vista Az. Explained that driving back home with that kind of braking problem could have been bad safety issue and caused damage that would have cost a lot more. My home town mechanic has also said that there work looked very professional and that the replacement of the EGR cooler and head gaskets and studs were the right decision for me to make. He said that the Harper Ford dealership charged a fair price for the work. I wish These 2 Harper Ford service members (Bill Lackey and Trace Hanger) were in my home town they would have all of my automotive service business. These 2 individuals gave me bad news but yet gave me solutions that were explained in a way that were understandable to me allowing me to make the right decision.
Thank-you Tracey and Bill, It was refreshing to deal with two honest people in the world of automotive service business, that know what they are talking about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I highly recommend for warranty work and oil changes. Was a bit surprised by the cost of the recommended service for my older vehicle (greater than the vehicle's value) without explanation of how it would resolve my primary issue. When I attempted to clarify with the service department, things got murky--to the point that I was disheartened. This resulted in a very nice phone call from Mr. Harper who patiently listened to my situation and provided helpful solutions.
