One furnace is not easy to get to in the attic. Matt gamely went in. Both furnaces we have are getting old. Matt was familiar with both and pointed out various features to me. He found a couple of necessary repairs and completed one today.

Called at 7pm (ish). Rich arrived in 11 minutes and fixed our furnace in 5 minutes. Even better he was completely knowledgable about our furnace and scolded us for not taking care of it. Thank you Rich for being so good at your job. Annual service will now be done, promise! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

After calling the previous Hvac company who repair...

After calling the previous Hvac company who repaired our home air conditioner once already and did not respond 2 days in a row... And after calling 3 other companies and not receiving a response and one denial, We called Boehmer heating and cooling... They not only answered the call but came very quickly that same evening during emergency hours. Our home had been extremely hot for 2 days in a row without any relief ! Ed Overly came to our home, mask on and found the problem after checking our unit. Our coolant was almost empty! There is obviously a leak in this 3 year old unit! We are having a small outdoor event in a week or so and was worried that this might happen again. He explained that the dye has to work its way through and they would normally do a re-check in a few weeks but reassured us they would make a service call before then! We now trust them and have found our new Heating and cooling company for maintenance and repair! Thanks Ed and Boehmer Heating Cooling! We give you 10 stars out of 5! Oh and their prices were very reasonable in comparison to others that quoted emergency service calls!

Called at 8am with a dead AC system. They were at my house and had it fixed by 10 am...on the hottest day of the year. John (the service tech) was very professional and friendly.
Couldn t be happier.

Couldn't be more satisfied! From the initial phone call, everyone was professional and courteous. Kevin came to my home for a boiler check. He was extremely knowledgeable, kind and patient while answering my questions because I have never lived in a home with boiler heating before. He drained boiler tank, cleaned boiler and checked each radiator while giving me a lesson in how boiler heat works. He was also great with cat and dog. Decent pricing. Highly recommend! Would definitely call them again. Thank you, Boehmer and Kevin.

I have a service contract and get regular spring-air condition and fall- furnace calls. I called to get the fall service but a water leak was apparent . The company sent technician the same day that I called- five days before the scheduled call. The water problems were quickly diagnosed. A more serious problem was detected , The repair option was clearly explained . The part was under warranty and the labor to install it will be covered by the service contract.
Kevin Ernst installed the new parts. It involved taking the furnace almost completely apart to fix the secondary heat exchanger. He worked very diligently and our system is working well. Thank you.

My experience with Boehmer has been good. I have a service contract which provides testing and cleaning my furnace and air conditioning each year. After they receive my payment for the annual contract, they call to schedule maintenance. Most recently, I had my a/c serviced. The technician, Ed, was very efficient and professional. Due to the coronavirus, he wore a mask the entire time he was on my property, even though the temperature was 90+ degrees. His inspection was thorough and unhurried.

Ed was the serviceman and he was friendly and knowledgeable. He really expertly and competently examined carefully all the aspects of my heating system explaining things. I felt very informed, and peace of mind that everything was checked for safety and the few issues found were repaired. He replaced a metal exhaust vent pipe that had a hoIe in it! And installed new burners that were rusted. I was worried about a few things & he took the time to address them and now I don't have to anymore because all is well. He was well organized and obviously well trained, up to date and experienced. A real pro! Thank you for great service!

Easy to get a service call in a very reasonable time. The tech was on time, polite, knowledgeable and professional. He reviewed his findings without pressure to replace parts that would eventually need replaced. The charges were reasonable and as quoted. I would recommend Boehmer.

Nothing but issues with this company! Do NOT recom...

Nothing but issues with this company! Do NOT recommend them AT ALL! I have waited to write this review to make sure I have the correct information. Our system was 9 years old when we bought the house, and noticed they have been doing the AC/heating maintenance for our house, so I called them again for the annual maintenance. The first time, the guy took apart the blower and could not put it back together, since it hasn't been acting right. Soon after, we had issues with a whistling noise, they thought I needed a new blower, we didn't replace it, the noise eventually was gone. Then, we had issues with a breaker tripping every time AC kicked on. Another guy came and barely looked at it, took the filter off and back on and told me I needed a new furnace, he quoted me two and he was very pushy at it. We were not sure, so we called 2 other opinions and ended up I needed a new AC (not furnace), we got it replaced and the new company was able to assemble the blower unit correctly. Now, a year later, no issues with either the blower or the furnace. The whistling noise turned out to be a very cheap solution of insulating the blower's door.

3 weeks before our wedding, right in the middle of a heat wave, our AC went out. I called Boehmer and they sent someone out right away. The problem was diagnosed super fast. Even though we needed a new unit all together, which is a big expense, especially when you're paying for a wedding, the tech was straight-forward, professional, and friendly. He even recommended financing that was a great option for us. When we returned from our honeymoon, we got our new unit. The techs were awesome. They were on time, and were just wonderful all around. My husband and I are now enjoying being newlyweds in our air conditioned home!

This is the second or third furnace from Economy. Over the years, we have always been satisfied with installations and service. Service people are always friendly and willing to answer questions, explain equipment issues, etc. , and never applied sales pressure to upgrade to new products. We have never had a concern to check if the work was under warranty, we were always informed by the technician of the warranty status.

Boehmer Heating & Cooling is a wonderful and honest company. They are very trustworthy. Ed the maintenance technician is the best. Ed really knows his work and he knows how to treat his customers. I highly recommend Boehmer Heating.Their yearly contract for your maintenance is well worth it.

Boehmer did come out quickly to service our issue ...

Boehmer did come out quickly to service our issue with the furnace, although a discrepancy arose later with billing that changed the amount we were quoted even though they require to be paid in full at completion of job. Be aware that when they come out for initial service call, there will be an additional and separate bill mailed for $89.00 on top of the total amount they say. I felt they were not upfront about this, and being that we are a real estate management company and deal with numerous contractors, this is not industry standard practice despite what they say. It seems to be a tactic that because its only $89.00 most people will just pay it in the aftermath rather than take them to small claims court over it. Odd that they ask for you to pay in full by credit card as soon as they complete service, then send out an additional bill a week later. Very underhanded! We will not be using their services again.

We have been a Boehmer customer for over 40 years. In that time we feel like we have become like family. The technicians are exceptionally knowledgeable and professional. I cannot think of any other company servicing our HVAC needs.

In the few times that we required immediate service they were more than responsive.

The value Boehmer provides for our peace of mind is priceless.

We did need a part and it s price was greatly reduced because of our contract. We have had a yearly maintenance contract with Boehmer for years. They have to taken great care of our systems.

Scam Artist!! They came out for $89 to diagnose my not working air conditioner. After 5 minutes he came in the house and said that I needed a "Run Capacitor" and a new one would be $250 dollars! I don't know anything about air conditioners so I took his word. Once I thought that the small 6" cylinder he was replacing for $250 sounded high I looked up the part on line and found out that it is only $10!!! I instantly told him not to proceed and purchased the item. It took me exactly 10 minutes to fix it.

We did... from a salesman, who wanted to schedule a visit. We then requested and got a repair estimate, for around $1,000. Decided to go with another outfit to install a new furnace.

I'm a DIYer who got stuck. Ed came out, diagnosed my problem (accurately), and gave me pricing for him to finish the job along with some advice on how to do it myself. No tough sales pitch. Rest assured the next time I need anything he'll be my only call. The visit fee was also the most reasonable that I've ever experienced and his quote to do the work was $250 less than a quote I got from A Comfort Service. Thank You!

Over- priced, done using this company. Water was leaking from AC unit in house, exterior pipe needed unclogged and simple fix. Took guy 15 minutes to do, charged $229 and was told he was giving me a break on the bill. "I'm not gonna beat you up too bad on this" he stated along with many personal details about his life, divorce, etc. Had to tell him I was late for an appointment to get him out of my house. Last guy from Boehmer doing annual maintenance on my AC unit outside added refridgerant, told me I had a leak and would need it redone yearly, it's been 3 years now and the latest tech told me a was a little low but no worries. The maintenance visit cost me $335. Cause you know, that refridgerant is mighty expensive...never again.

I was quoted almost $2000 to do this work, when three other reputable plumbing companies in the Pittsburgh area quoted me under $1000. I do not recommend this company to anyone....expensive.

Fantastic. Our furnace stopped working after our home was struck by lightning. A service technician was at our home just a few hours after my original phone call to Boehmer. After diagnosing the problem, the technician actually had the part in his truck inventory and was able to fix the furnace on the spot. Would highly recommend.

Boehmer heating and cooling is a waste of time. My family and I have been calling them to fix our issue with our ac for well over a month now. They continue to come out to our home and lie to our faces. They told us our ac was empty on refrigerant and it clearly had a leak. Fine... so we went ahead and paid the $464.00 to have a dye test done. It leaked out within 3 days. So clearly it must be a large leak. My husband looked with his own black light and found lots of lime green on the outside unit at the compressor joint. I called boehmer back and told them the refrigerant is gone the ac is not working. They sent ED out to use his test to determine where the leak was. He looked outside at compressor joint and told me that it's normal to have that amount of green dye on compressor joint. Hmmmmmm. When I asked how they would know if it's leaking in that area if that amount of dye is a normal thing. He had no educated answer. So then he went to the basement and told me he found leak in the evaporator coil. He quoted me a flat rate of $795.00 to replace it. That's with the warranty. Seems a little high but I'm hot and done dealing with this so I say ok but first I'd like to see the leak. Seems like a normal thing to request from someone wanted that amount of money. He agrees to show me. He pulls out his black light and points to a spot in the back of furnace. Right behind evaporator coil. Ok.... then I stick my finger in there and the spot he was certain was the leak was nothing more than a piece of LINT. Yes you read that correct. Lint... I pulled it out and asked ED if that's the leak. He was flaburgasted. He told me he was certain that was the leak and he can't believe it's only LiNT. Sounds a little fishy to me. I was ready to give this company 800$ for LINT. Now mind you I'm recording all this so I have evidence. He then told me he's gonna call the company from his truck because he's not sure what to do now. He got into his truck and LEFT. He didn't tell me bye. He didn't even put my furnace back together. I called the company and it took them two days to even return my call. When I finally talked to the supervisor GREG he told me ED left because he was in fear of his life!!!! Then GREG insisted that ED is confident the leak is in the evaporator coil. My response was "show me the leak then". That was 5 days ago and my furnace is still not put together. They'll be out to our home tomorrow morning to produce this so called leak. Once I'm done with them tomorrow I would like nothing more to never deal with them again. Their unprofessional and cowards. I will not let this go and I plan on taking this further. I 100% do not recommend them!

Ed O. from Boehmer came to my Crafton home in early July 2016 when, unbeknownst to me, the capacitor on my A/C had failed. Ed assessed the problem and fixed it promptly. From the time I first called, to the time of having it all fixed, lasted only a few hours, so I was pretty happy (all things considered). Ed did a fine job!

The service from the individual who called me to set up the appointment to Ed the service tech was friendly and efficient. They offered me basically any time that worked for me and were here when they said they'd be. What I've learned to appreciate - and not always receive - is someone having everything they need with them to repair the issue right then and there. Mission accomplished. The price was fair. There wasn't a lot of heavy pressure to add on unnecessary costs (I know what I want and what I don't - we discussed the options, I made my decision and it was handled with no more haggling). Loved that!

I have 38 years experience and started at Climatech as indoor Comfort Specialist working for Mitch Tabach and Joe Saltmaier as indoor air comfort specialist and onto Beverly Heating and Cooling working for Dick Kennel who was good to work for and his son Tom does not like me so I was passed over for him to hire Larry Fiore that was in sales for Carrier and then onto Wholesale company of American Standard and Weil McClain Boilers and Mitzubishi non ducted equipment and then onto McGHVAC as service,sales,installation of all brands of heating and airconditioning systems and lastly for McGHVAC to service,sell,install any make of equipnent from American Standard,,Carrieer to Bryant to Lennox to Trane ,to Weil McFlain boilers to Mitzubishi non ducted equipment to piping,to venting to testing and start up of system to manufacturers guidelines

It was a pleasure to permit Ed to go about the precision tune up. Five stars would be this review, if not for a re-scheduling issue. Ed spent quality time on the task-at-hand, and the results have both reassured me, as well as having my heating system "purr like a kitten." I'll recommend Boehmer should a heat / AC issue occur with my neighbors and coworkers..I might even have them "ask for Ed"...

A service tech arrived just a few hours after we called Boehmer and was able to figure out the problem with our heater within an hour. He also called to see if we were still under warranty to try to help save some money. They will be back tomorrow to fix our heater and I was happy with the speed of getting appointments both today and tomorrow.

Quick response and really helpful service technici...

Quick response and really helpful service technicians. They're more expensive than expected though--which you never really know until they hand you the bill at the end. They upcharged $75 on top of the usual service fee just to tell us the furnace was fine and needed restarted. Furthermore, we found an extra $149 charge to our account with no explanation. They were quick to respond, so I'd use them again if I absolutely had to for emergencies, but I'll be looking elsewhere for most future projects.

BEWARE!

BEWARE!

This company uses scare tactics to get you to make unnecessary, costly repairs. Three "routine maintenance calls" resulted in them leaving with equipment not working as it did before they arrived. Just last week, they tried telling me that a replacement part I needed was not under warranty when it clearly still had a year left.

Overpriced. Unprofessional. Unacceptable.

I reported them to Honeywell about the dishonestly regarding the warranty.

FOLLOWUP: I just had another company come and look ay my humidifier and IT WAS UNPLUGGED FROM THE FURNACE. So... Boehmer was going to try and charge me over $250 to replace parts when all it needed was to be plugged back into the board. It was unplugged by their service tech on their first visit and they couldn't even figure it out.

STAY AWAY! We've giving this company god knows how much unnecessary money over the years. NEVER AGAIN!

I've been using Boehmer for many years to repair my HVAC. A couple of years ago, I had them replace my air conditioner and furnace. I also purchase their yearly maintenance service to annually inspect my AC in the spring and furnace in the fall to keep my HVAC system running tip top. No one likes it when something fails. My AC failed because of a manufacture's defect. Boehmer stood by their product and resolved it with no hassle. To me, Boehmer means top customer care, great qualified service at a great value.

One of their trucks in traffic on Fifth Avenue in Oakland, Pittsburgh, PA at 10am. One of the men inside the truck was casually and loudly making racially biased comments about the new Asian students attending orientation. I had two Asian students in my car at the time that heard their comments.

Not cool, not acceptable and not hireable.
