My mother was there twice in December of 2012-2013 and in May of 2018. Both times she got sick immediately after entering this facility. Instead of rehabilitation process it was fighting with illness. The second time, my mother got sepsis almost on the second day being at this facility. In order to safe her life, I had to take her back to the hospital. Luckily, she got better in the hospital at least for some time.
According to these two experiences, I would not recommend this facility to anyone.
I spoke to other people and they had very similar experiences.

THE WORST FACILITY IN LOS ANGELES!, UNPROFESSIONAL AND DEADLY. MY WONDERFUL MOM WAS ASSIGNED TO STAY HERE FOR A WEEK AFTER BENG DISCHARGED FROM CEDARS. UNFORTUNATLY THEY DID NOT GIVE HER THECORRECT MEDICATION AND SHE DIED FIVE DAYS LATER. THEY REFUSED TO CALL AN AMBULANCE, WHEN HER HEART WENT INTO V TAC, ( AN ACCELERATED RATE) THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THE PATIENTS, LIE ABOUT THE LOW SODIUM FOOD AND DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH STAFF TO ASSIST THE PEOPLE WHO ARE THERE.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN KILLING YOUR RELATIVE(S) OR FRIENDS, THIS IS THE PLACE!! IF YOU CARE ABOUT THEM, RUN AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN, AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN FROM THIS HORRIBLE INSTITUTION!

The personnel providing the care are nice and seem to be competent. However, the administration, supervisors, directors are unprofessional and run a very poor operation. We had two family members there at the same time. One had hip replacement surgery as was there for rehab following discharge from the hospital. His wife who has Alzheimer's was admitted with him because separating the two would have had a detrimental effect on her. As his therapy went on, we called to check on his progress. Rarely were we ever able to speak with anyone familiar with his case. We left numerous messages via voicemail, but these were never returned. We visited in person, and none of the staff could tell us who was in charge. Inquiring at the nurse's station was completely useless. We were concerned with the lack of progress, and were told that our patient was experiencing dizziness which was keeping him from being able to perform his therapy. We found out during the discharge process (which was severely sub-standard) that he was being given medication which he did not tolerate well. This could have been prevented had they told him what he was being prescribed. When I questioned the one of the nurses she said it was for "nerves" This was complete BS, it was a opiate which made him feel sick and dizzy. This was well known in our family but the incompetent staff never thought to ask. Our female patient had been prescribed medication for her newly diagnosed Alzheimer's disease. We again found out during the discharge process that she was never given her medication and had no knowledge of it. We know it was prescribed for her and she was receiving it at the hospital. The Rehab Center completely failed here. We had to pay fro her out of pocket because Blue Cross Anthem would not cover her. I could go on, but suffice it to say the directors, and other administrators at this facility are incompetent and unprofessional at best, bordering on negligent.

They d given my mother the rehab she required, but getting her on the phone was almost always a major undertaking, often ending without success. Also, regardless of how many times I d updated our home address with them, they kept defaulting to our former address on file and even arranged to discharge her to that address.

My mother almost died here. If her doctor's office had not insisted that she be brought in, or they were going to call the police, she would have died that night in extreme pain.
When the doctor's assistant saw my mother he said, "what the F@*! have they done to you?" He later told me that it was inconceivable that anyone with any health care experience would not have known how serious her condition was. From her doctor's office she was rushed to Cedars ER and had to have surgery that the doctors weren't even sure that she would survive, but it was her only chance. She was in intensive care for many days more than once and she needed several additional surgeries. She required hospital care for six months and two years later she is still dealing with health consequences from the ineptitude at The Rehab Center of Beverly Hills. Protect your loved ones and stay on top of their treatment here so you won't face the same nightmare that she is still dealing with.

If you really care about your loved ones, never ev...

If you really care about your loved ones, never ever take him to that place. twenty percent of the nurses are professional, the other eighty percent extremly rude, hate their jobs and experienced their frustration on the hopeless patients, only you heard complain about caring for 10 patients..
My brother suffered a lot there, it was a real torture for him. Can you imagine, when he had a diary, a rude nurse shouted at him to finish, because she has another patients to look after! or another one when he pushed the button for help, came and yelled at him; What do you want! One day I was with him, a nurse took him to the bathroom, and heard him asking her to rewash his hands, she yelled at him, you have just washed your hand I heard him telling her to treat him as a human beings. Regardless the doctor negligence when he spent the night on oxygen, and when I took him for an outside doctor visit didn't recommend that it is mandatory to be accompanied with Oxygen. My brother died because of the humiliation treatment. I get sick of contacting the staff and complaining about this and that, and no improvement made.IF YOU REALLY CARE ABOUT YOUR LOVED ONES< TAKE HIM/HER HOME AND HIRE A THERAPIST . Advice to the Center; Watch your nurses, most of them torture the patients, with respect to few of them who were really passionate about their job. MY BROTHER DIED BECAUSE OF THE UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIORS AND NEGLIGENCE; SAVE YOUR LOVED ONES!

WONDERFUL home away from home for anyone in post-hospital status. My mom spent 7 months there back in 2006 after a challenging foot surgery and the stay was productive, therapeutic, and necessary. The staff and facilities were consistently excellent. She has now been there for the past two weeks or so. I can't quite understand the stark difference in experiences compared to other negative reviewers; the center is still excellent and all of the many staff members from doctors, nurses, rehab, maintenance, food prep, and therapists are excellent and friendly. My mom still raves about her experience from years back and continues to rave. I have met with many of the staff members in person and on the on the phone; ALL have been attentive, proactive, involved, and have provided my mother with consistent results in her therapeutic improvement. They say that bad experiences are typically the ones that are spoken of (maybe even written by competitors). I can attest that her/our experience has been consistently excellent and therapeutic in both instances.

My mother fell and broke her hip. After surgery we came to Rehab Center of Beverly Hills. I was really worried she will have hard time getting up. Therapist Jessica and occupational therapist Charlene actually helped her to get off the bed and to take a few steps with help. It was an amazing experience!!! Charlene was also fluent in Korean and helped greatly communicating with my mother who speaks mostly Korean. This place is super clean with very friendly staff and I highly recommend!!!

The place is under staff. Some staff are always looking to get tips to do thier duties. Noticed staff chating and laughing while the patients are yelling for help.
The place is no longer accepting my father as a patient since I complained. Manager is not any better than the rest of the staff.

Very very bad/poor management!
No nurses there to assist. Supervisors and everyone else not willing to assist and they look busy but they dont take a minute to try helping you. They give you attitude when you ask a questions. I am very disappointed with this place. PLEASE DONT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES THERE.!!!

My father was at this facility for gout. He was never treated for gout. He was never given any medication for this. I was there daily. I demanded them to make him an appt with a rheumatologist. They did, the rheumatologist told me to take him to ER where it was confirmed he was not treated for gout. DO NOT PLACE YOUR LOVED ONE at that facility.

The place is clean. The tour you get is amazing, the staff is just a disaster! They will sell you on putting your old parents there for Rehab, but boy the Nurses and workers just HATE working there. They nearly killed my parent by 'forgetting' to give her the medication, it was a miracle that she did not die. When they click on the EMERGENCY button in their bed, it takes them 45 minutes at night and 20 minutes in the day to come to their bed, by that time the person can die. They really don't appreciate their jobs, it is sad. The place is nice and clean, and to have staff that just are annoyed by old people..... sad.... dont let them fool you, they will smile in your face, but they will turchore your parents.

You have been warned!

I thought the Bev Rehab was a wonderful place for me to recover from a broken ankle after surgery. Most of the staff in our area were great; the room was clean and floors were washed daily. the food is mediocre but i wasn't there for the food. The therapy was great and I go there for outside therapy now. The care is quite good. Because my situation was not dire, I was able to wheel out to the patio and sit with friends. I think the only complaint I have is that they could make better use of their social activities since if you are not confined to bed and just staring at a tiny TV, the day seems to drag on. But I would definitely go back and would recommend it for friends.

This place is a very big disappointment. The entire staff has no clue what they are doing, and seem as if they hate their jobs. They don't change the patients clothing, and forgot about the people. They are constantly clueless, in the sense that they forget to give the patient medicine. The owner's should really check this place out and make sure the staff cares. It's a very unprofessional place, and don't ever place anyone here.

Very unprofessional workers, careless leave patients unattended, without caring for them please workers if you think you are getting underpaid or don t like the type of job you do please switch career ,stay home but don t go to work to a facility you are not going to put an effort, it makes few workers at the facility look really bad. Be humble everyone deserves to be treated right one day you ll find your self in the same position. They are humans beings.

They are HORRIBLY understaffed. My father was in twice. The only reason we took him back is that their physical therapy program is excellent. If you do not monitor the person daily, this place could be dangerous for them. Specifically the medical care AT BEST is spotty because there is TERRIBLE communication between the facility and their doctors. I would not leave a person with complicated medical problems here either.

This rehab place is understaffed by its owners. Doctors visit maybe once in two weeks if you are lucky or maybe not at all. Patients sit in their wet garments for hours and hours. It is not always the fault of some kind personnel, but the staff cannot take care of all of the patients in this place. The doctors associated with this place forgot about their hippocratic oath. My poor mother called this place a torture chamber. We were able to get her out before anything bad happened. Do not bring your loved ones here.

I am currently in the facility. It is kept clean daily. Yes the food maybe bland for some, but their dr could have ordered it that way. I have not received any cold food since I have been here, Oct 24 th in late pm. Yes sometimes when you ring your buzzer it may take awhile for them to come, but they are busy with another patient, whom needs them as much as you do. Everyone has been very nice and friendly. My OT and PT people have been awesome. They have helped me learn to do things because I am not allowed to put any weight on my left foot. I have given the facility 4 + star rating. I can give a 5 star because in our world, no one is perfect. Thank you.

SIGH... im in two minds here.

SIGH... im in two minds here.
1. this is probably the best rehab in greater Los Angeles.
2. Its not possible to ignore the mind numbing amount of lack of personal attention, completely lack of commitment to their own processes and just simply unprofessional behaviors and choices by the staff in general. (as always every facility have great staffers, but in this case there are a hard to ignore culture of "whatever")

I am an immigrant and support people speaking whatever is their language where ever appropriate. but we don't really feel it is appropriate to have conversations about the patients in Spanish or Filipino when the patient and family at the bedside speak neither language.

Complete lack of communication with family,
Amazing situation, arrived today for a visit, and discover that the physical therapist have decided to make a unscheduled meeting with the patient to inform the patient that progress is poor and the patient can't go on as soon as hoped. and she KNEW from talking to me that I would be available to be in the room 5 minutes later.
This is the kinda news that can be broken gently.. not smack in the face.? what are they thinking?

Getting served two slices of toasted bread with no anything to accompany for breakfast... still don't understand the reason. but lets just say the chef sucks.

"sales" will tell you that you can have dinner with your loved ones..
That is completely nonsense, because the process require you to buy a meal ticket, this ticket will then entitle you to a meal tray 30-45 minutes AFTER dinner is served. so with a little luck your loved on have eater and is napping by now.
*this process works fine for emergency stay-overs with sick patients. but don't for a second expect you will be eating with your family member at the same time.

Here is another amazing problem. IF you are in a double room and the rehab place a abusive badgering patient in this room, there are no process for dealing with the bully, the only solution from the rehab center is to offer to relocate the victim. Clearly at Beverly Rehab center, it pays big time to be the bully and simply harass the room to empty it out. we were shocked and literally had to cut short the rehab stay when a evil woman was placed in the room. the nurses was at their wits ends, but there are no process for managing hostile patients, just for relocating the peaceful original patience of a room.

Ironically, while visiting and checking out 5 different rehab centers, i realized that they ALL buy catered meals from the same provider, all of them have identical day by day menus.

No need to ramble on, Im going to suggest you strongly consider taking your loved one to Beverly Rehab, but be aware that while they probably are the best in terms of rehab program, they are an acquired taste and the staff find it difficult to relate to your family members needs, (or they just dont care) but its probably still the better rehab program.

Just saying.
