AMAZING, MAC N CHEESE WAS TO DIE FOR. and the meat...
AMAZING, MAC N CHEESE WAS TO DIE FOR. and the meat sampler was a perfect introduction for first time customers. 10/10 would dine here again. great atmosphere.

i have been eating here for about 3 years. awesome everytime. usually about 2-3 times a month as i work nearby. i ordered my usual brisket sandwich with mac and cheese side today and it was absolutely horrible. i guess the pandemic has charted a new course for this place. im sure they served me day old brisket as i needed more than my usual glass of water. tasteless and dry. mac and cheese was ok. its sad.
Amazing food, the place is awesome and so is the staff!!! I'm in love, pork got to my heart... literally
This place is like a little slice of Americana! Food is delicious and the atmosphere is idyllic. It is the perfect place to bring the family after a day at the park or to meet up with friends for Taco Tuesday. Overall great restaurant!
Also the owner can squat a ridiculous amount of weight... So that's a plus.
Great atmosphere. Burnt tips and beans is unbelievable!
The meat sampler was delicious! The brisket was amazing! Great atmosphere, highly recommend, glad we stopped in while we were in Jersey.
Went here on a Sunday evening and was able to get seated immediately. They have a lot of al fresco, large picnic tables- three out front on the sidewalk and a back area of about 10 tables. There is also booth/table seating in the bar area. Although the service was somewhat slower than usual, with a long wait to take our orders and even longer wait to get our food, it was worth the wait. Within our group we had a variety of reasonably priced entrees and sides ranging from BBQ items (chicken, brisket, burnt end beans, street corn,.etc), tacos, and even the churro waffle salted caramel ice cream....mmmm on all of it!
One of the places I visit quite a lot. The lamb belly and street corn are pretty good.
The sides were not great and the meet was hit and miss - pulled pork was dry but the Ribs and sausage were awesome
Excellent smokie flavors, tender brisket and the wings are also great. We ordered the loaded mac n cheese for the kids but the adults also nibbled on it too. There were some very good sauces on the table but honestly the food came out sauced correctly and didnt really need more sauce. Adequate seating with both tables and bar seats.kids are ok at this place.
Hamilton pork has a solid barbecue menu and good drink specials. We usually sit at the bar because the bartender we get is friendly and gives good recommendations.
One of the best joints in JC. Brisket sandwich is tops, and do not sleep on the tostada.
So good and in a really nice neighborhood. Everything from the pork belly, ribs, brisket, mac and cheese, and more were all good. The space is not overdone and has a nice outdoor area. Inside has a bar with an industrial feel. Definitely going back.
One of the best BBQ spots I was able to find in the area! Awesome service, great food and drinks, atmosphere! I was there with my friends and we are all planning to go back regularly!
A shop where you can eat delicious BBQ. There is no problem with the service of the clerk. The atmosphere is also wonderful. Such a shop that you want to visit regularly.
Great food, nice choices, good taste and perfect staff.
Was excited to discover this place near my office, but was ultimately disappointed. Really meh quality BBQ, small portions, and overpriced. Would be significantly less disappointed if they fixed portion size or price issues.
Went with friends, my pulled pork sandwich had a bone in it. Drinks are pricey for what you get.
Yum. Gf aware. Delicious. Recommend the sharer combo platter
The food was on point and I Loved the decor. Is the bar an seaport container? Definitely recommend to a Friend.
I went here last night and the service was great - no issues there. Staff was very friendly and patient with us as we were a party of about 12 including 3 kids under 4. The issue was mainly the food; not worth the price. I was expecting great BBQ, but the 1/2 chicken I ordered was dry on even the leg quarter. The cole slaw ordered tasted like it had too much sugar, and the wings were too burnt for my taste. Also, compared to other BBQ restaurants, the pickles they brought with the meal was minuscule and only had pickled onions and sliced pickles. One of the two BBQ sauces was okay; the other tasted like oyster sauce. I had a taste of someone else's ribs and it was also too dry and crunchy for me. One of the upside to the food was the nachos (w/ brisket). Everyone seemed pleased with that. Overall, it's great service, but I would recommend finding another BBQ spot. Mighty Quinn's is great, but I am sure there are other spots in Jersey City that are better, but not heavily advertised.
Fun place with decent bbq. Overly expensive for what it is.
I used to live in JC. Moved to FL 6 yrs ago. Came home for Thanksgiving holiday. Tried this spot with some fam. I was honestly expecting "more for the money". The food was good don't get me wrong but since living in FL and having some More
Please note that the price online is not what they charged me, whole rack of ribs 34.00 when online saids 30.00, pulled pork 14.00 when online shows 10.00 and crispy chicken sandwich they charged me 12.00 and again online saids 10.00. Food was okay but there is much cheaper BBQ places in NJ/NY at much better quality.
The food is constantly well prepared and delicious, workers provides good service. I loved how clean it is and vibes. Keep up the good work.
Get the brisket sausage, Brussels sprouts, and churro dessert. You won't be disappointed!
The BBQ is very authentic and very good. Better then any other in the area.
Great food, Kind staff wonderful atmosphere. Love this place all day...
Hamilton Pork is really easy to miss. From the outside, it doesn't look like a grand BBQ joint. And after trying the food, I would say that it lives up to its appearance.
My boyfriend and I came in on a Thursday at around 8. It doesn't look like it, but the place is actually pretty big on the inside. That, or maybe the empty tables just made it feel bigger.
Drinks are expensive. Manhattan prices in New Jersey. NO.
But I guess everything there is pretty expensive in general.
We really wanted to like this place. It looks cool and it's literally down the block from my boyfriend's apartment. The only good thing about this experience was their BBQ sauce. But I wonder if they even made it...
Food was awesome. Got the meat sampler + some sides and had to roll out from the restaurant. Service was outstanding!
Great food, quick and friendly service and very good frozen margaritas. My only issue is that the times I ve been there, my food has never really been hot, warm yes, but never hot.
Been here several times now. Food is on point. Mexican burger is my absolute favorite. Wait staff is always nice and their happy hour makes me happy.
Best barbecue in the area. Haven t had a bad dish yet.
Food was underwhelming and overpriced. Still had a nice menu and taste though.
Food was okay to good, but definitely not worth the prices. You can get 3 times the amount food with same quality at lots of different places.
I have never been disappointed! We live close by so we hit them up for different dinners weekly. They are always trying new dishes and their meat is so tasty. Staff is friendly and attentive. Just tried the roasted cauliflower and that had great flavor too. Torta with pork belly was incredibly good.
A fun place to hang out on a nice day. Always has things going on.
Got the brisket sandwich and jalapeno cheddar corn bread, and both were fantastic. Great authentic vibe inside and an attentive staff.
Great american food and great staff. The baby ribs were simply amazing
Best BBQ in Jersey City, maybe all of New Jersey.
This place is always my go-to for authentic BBQ in the tri-state area. Don't bother going across two rivers to Brooklyn only to pay too much money for tiny portions at some other pig or dino-named places!
If you want a big ol' plate of BBQ go with the baby back ribs or pulled pork. The meat sampler is also a great deal if you need a variety of meats. For sides you must get the burnt end beans, jalep/cheddar cornbread or the brussell sprouts! I haven't tried the "Fritos Pie" but dang that sounds delicious.
Also do not skip over the crispy chicken sandwich. You may be used to fast food chicken sandwiches but they would weep if they knew about how Hamilton Pork is whipping this sandwich out. The crunchy pickles and secret sauce combo will also make you weep, but from happiness.
Drinks are great too but since it is a BBQ place they are a little expensive if it isn't happy hour!
Good food, drinks and atmosphere. My wife and I like to pop in late afternoon on weekends.
We ordered from Hamilton Pork through their online portal and went to go pick up the food after receiving an alert saying it was ready. I get there and the waitress is nowhere to be found. After a few minutes, the waitress shows up (no mask, no gloves btw!) and goes to help a completely different patron, even though I had been in line first.
After spending several minutes chatting with other patrons, the waitress finally comes over and asks for the name on my order and disappears again. Another few minutes pass and the waitress reappeared to tell me they ran out of the meats that I had ordered for my sampler. Why would they message me and tell me my order was ready for pick up when they didn t even have my food? I had to change up my order on the spot, and of course, the waitress was gone again for several minutes. Finally, after nearly 30 minutes of waiting, she brought out my order.
When I got home and opened up the box, I almost cried out of uncontainable anger. There was SO LITTLE meat that they actually filled up the empty space with 3 containers of bbq sauce.
I was absolutely furious. From the lack of any professionalism, decency or courtesy, to actually ripping us off I m convinced that Hamilton Pork went out of their way to make us feel as awful as possible.
I was hoping the food would at least taste good after what they put us through, but no pork belly was far too salty, and the pork sausage looked like it had been microwaved.
I ve wanted to try this place for a while now but I have to say I was a little bit disappointed. I ll start with the positives- we were able to sit down immediately (no wait on a Friday night), great music selection and service was okay. Down sides- food came out cold, their Mac and cheese only has one kind of cheese, the table was uncomfortably tall, margarita was watered down and didn t have salt all the way around the rim (kind of wierd it was only on one side of the glass). The drink specials look good during the week but I won t be back for food
This site is my favorite place. Of all restaurants I know I like it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to visit this restaurant. when I want to go to a good dinner, this restaurant comes straight to my mind. best and all sorts of food and a rich menu.well mannered crew, and good mood. Also, the tariff is affordable. I suggest this place with pleasure.
Consistently solid BBQ. My favorites were the beef rib and brisket moist. It's not too expensive and kind of reminds me of BBQ places in the south where the food is good, consistent, and not too expensive.
The baby back ribs were pretty good, but the rest of the options I tried left a lot to be desired. The brisket had dry pieces, whereas the pulled pork lacked flavor. The pork ribs were the least favorite. Maybe for people that like to drown everything in BBQ sauce, the dryness or lack of flavor won't be a problem, but I prefer when the meat can stand alone - only to be complemented by the sauce. If I want BBQ, I'll travel into NYC next time.
This spot is fantastic! Convenient pricing, big portions and the staff members are regularly kind.
I ordered the Brisket Mac and Cheese and it was delicious and very filling. The portion size may look small, but don t let it fool you - I couldn t even finish the whole thing on an empty stomach.
I love the seating options - they have an outdoor patio, indoor seating, bar seating, and an backyard outdoor area. If you can, sit in the back outdoor area.
Food was great, service felt a little inattentive but not rude
Really great bbq, appetizers and beer selection. Really good service as well. The place has a nice aesthetic.
One of the best new additions to the JC food scene. Super nice staff and really family friendly. Food is great..love the brisket nachos!
Brisket is delicious here, especially on the nachos!
Food and service was excellent. Great atmosphere. Only had issue with order getting messed up but on a very busy night it was understandable. Meat was cooked to perfection fell right off the rib bone. Will definitely be coming back again.
Fast and good bbq. I had the RibWich with a side of the corn and it was tasty!
+ waffle ice cream sandwich which it was awesome ! Get that
Best, G
We sat at the bar the bartender was great! We told him to give us the two popular margaritas they serve. Got mango and blueberry ones. They tested great and were very strong.
Food wise we ordered the meat sampler, brisket, pork belly, and shredded chicken with flour tortillas. The meat was great, our favorite was the pork belly. For our sides we got the macaroni and cheese and the Mexican corn. The corn was amazing so flavorful. The Mac and cheese was just okay. This is a great place to go on a date or with friends and even with kids.
They just opened up additional outdoor seating. Definitely good Cocktails, and everyone stays for the churro ice cream
Some of the best BBQ Pork Ribs, Brisket, Mac n Cheese, Tacos, Nachos n Dips, however, those Jalapeno Corn Bread they are to die for.... The food is delicious...great prices! Drinks are okay. Great place for friends hanging out and a nice night out with your partner.
The outdoor area is cool. A lot of mosquitos in late summer though. Food is good, not great.
Better than the smoke houses in Texas!! The spare ribs are out of this world!
Excellent BBQ. The meats were delicious. We had the brisket, pulled pork and sausage. The sides were also very good, Mexican rice and beans and brussel sprouts. Highly recommend the churro ice cream sandwich, it was amazing.
Love the food here. Have been several times for lunch.
Best new place in Jersey City. Everything we ate was delicious. Cool space and great drinks. Our waiter was really nice and accommodating since we had a baby with us. Sweet potatoes are to die for. Pulled pork is awesome. Highly recommended.
Big fan! Been here twice in the last few weeks, dined outside by a heat lamp, & have had a delicious time each visit.
Yes yes yes to the kung pao smoked wings (don't be fooled by the name - yes, they're still crispy). Some might find the sauce a tad too sweet, but I loved it.
The meat sampler (3 meats, $25) is a nice sharing platter & allows you to try a little selection. My dad raved about the pork ribs.
Their fish taco was nicely battered & fried - I haven't had a great fish taco in JC, so it's nice to see a restaurant do this well.
And the churro dessert - sinful but worth it.
Our server was Justine & she was fantastic!! Had a lot of patience for my parents who're older & took a little time to order. Thanks Justine!
