Costs $5 for locals and $10 for out of state. Too much in my opinion. This area tends to charge for parking everywhere... sigh.

The granite coastline is very beautiful. The tidal pools have crabs, snails and other mollusks. We couldn't find any sea stars/starfish.

The quarry is just that... a quarry... not very interesting to me.

3 stars because it is pretty but not free.

Very good place to visit even during the pandemic. Only 5 dollar parking. Has access to rest rooms at visitor center. The visitor center, museum and tower are closed due to covid. But you can download self guided trail map from mass gov website. The trail was small and fun. Quarry was interesting. The coastal views are amazing. We did a lot of rock scrambling. Also walked along the coast on the rocks all the way to Rockport town's Andrew's point. Super fun and great views. Highly recommended for hiking and rock scrambling.

Exceptional views of the granite quarry and the seaside. The paths are well-developed and there are enough trails to entertain for 1-2 hours. The lookout offers excellent views of the northern coast of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and even Maine. Unfortunately, there is no museum or food in the state park, but you are not a far drive from nearby Rockport. Parking is not free.

Such a nice place for whole family. The quarry, sea coast, trails offer a variety of see sightings. The parking could be a big challenge. It would be easier to park in early morning or late afternoon.

Halibut State Park is a pleasant outing for any family and is very easy to walk around for all ages. Beautiful and scenic. Quiet and peaceful. Please note that the stones near the water and very slippery and everyone should take extra care while walking over the stones.

This place has a nice view on a sunny afternoon. Great place to spend some time with family and friends. Clean and well maintained. The rocky cliffs overlook the ocean. Dangerous though as the rocks are slippery near the water. There is also a trail that you can explore. They could have setup at least a coffee shop at this place. We could not locate a shop anywhere nearby. The parking area has enough space but the place seems to close at 6pm. So plan accordingly.

This really is a hidden gem. There is no hint from the road or the parking lot what a dramatic set of vistas await. It's a great place to bring a picnic either to the the overlook or the the granite "beach".

We had a great time here walking the dog and climbing over the rocks along the shore. Get there early as there is not a ton of parking. There is frequent turnover however so if you wait a few minutes you probably can get a spot.

Definitely a hidden gem in Rockport. Perfect place for a hike. There are very beautiful spots here for photography or just admiring nature. Definitely take the trail to the ocean and walk up to the broken rocks. They have chairs all around the trails to rest and relax in the middle of nature.

Light trails easy to walk and explore. Kid-friendly although be careful when walking on the trail by the granite quarry, the drop is steep and rocky. Definitely walk down to the rocky shoreline by the ocean, kids will have fun hunting for tiny crabs and other creatures. Be careful walking on the wet rocks, it's slippery. Parking, picnic tables, and restrooms are literally at the entrance of the park. You can spend 2 to 4 hours casually exploring this area. Visit the Rockport downtown area as well, it's full of little shops and local restaurants. If you're looking for a beach in the area, skip Front Beach. Instead drive a half hour to Wingaersheek Beach, it's nicer, more spacious and very kid-friendly. HAVE FUN!

Gorgeous views, easy hikes, you can walk down to the ocean, fish and picnic. It is a pack in, pack out park so bring bags for your trash. The visitor center is under renovation so the only restrooms are portapotties by the parking area. Parking fills fast, so early morning or afternoon are best times for visit.
