Hagen Ace Hardware Review

Terrible ! I called to make an appointment for the floral department for my wedding. The lady who answered for the floral department was not so nice and told me uhm no very sternly when I answered her telling her a date I could come in. Then finally after picking a date to come in she put me on hold to check times that would be available. However she never came back on the phone. After maybe 4-5 minutes waiting for her to come back to tell me a time a gentleman picked the line up and asked what I was waiting on so I told him and he said okay. Back on hold I go then maybe another two minutes go by and I get transferred to the main department of ace hardware. Really?????

It is great for the quick in and out with normal items that are everyday use.

Store is always clean, friendly employees, and has a beautiful variety gift and florist shop as well.

Friendly, helpful people. Prices are the same as the big box stores. Much better service and an enjoyable shopping experience.

A gentleman helped me to find everything I needed and was very polite. The girl at the register was very nice. Altogether a great visit I will continue to be coming back

Patty, who handles pools supplies, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She was able to get my order in for an early delivery and the price for the pump beat all other suppliers. Highly recommend talking to her before you make your purchase.

I don't come here often, but they've always had what I was looking for. I most commonly purchase salt pellets for the water softener. You buy them at the register, then drive around back to pick them up. When doing so, ENTER FROM THE SOUTH SIDE! It's ONE WAY! :)

This has to be one of the nicest Ace Hardware's I've ever been inside.
the store has a large selection of different supplies that you would not find in a regular hardware store. This store has a lot of nice products .
the lawn and garden collection is quite amazing there's a lot of displays in the garden section that are exquisite .I would definitely recommend this store.

Great customer service. I went looking for a particular item but couldn't find it anywhere. I asked one of the associates for assistance and he went above and beyond to help my find exactly what I needed. He had a hard time finding it at first but in the end I walked out a very satisfied customer with exactly the item I came for in the first place. Wish I would have gotten the associates name.

It's a good little store wish it was larger but the people are very nice and helpful

Before today I used to love Hagan Ace Hardware. I told my neighbors and Friends how helpful they are the customer service was top-notch I believed. As they r smaller than the other stores are there type there able to take more time and answer questions. Today that all changed. I purchased 6 bags of play sand to do a project in my backyard. This is 3rdtime I purchased sand from them. When I opened it up this morning there was a moisture in the bags which made the sand clumpy. I thought no worries call them and they'll take care of it. Boy was I wrong! I was told I either had the wrong stand or I had gotten moisture in it neither which was true they lost a customer over $30.00. No more recommendations from me!!

Quality products with fast friendly service. Employees or always willing to go above and beyond to help and answer your questions.

This ACE is a lot bigger than our local ACE but they have been in business much longer and are able to offer more of a selection. Unfortunately, their gift shop has terrible hours and were always closed when I attempted to shop there for my "free" birthday gift in August. I gave up.

I was given the help I needed. The clerk who helped me took the time to make sure I got what I needed and understood what to do. Best hardware store. I won't go anywhere else.

I am so grateful to have this place so close to home. It is convenient for little last minute needs. I also get great advice on big projects as well. All of the staff is experienced and helpful. Special thanks to Daniel! I seek out his great advice every time I go in now. It feels like a family owned and operated hardware store for sure!

Good location and clean. I would recommend this ACE location to anyone.

So much better getting help than in the big box stores. The staff actually acts like they want to help and they know what they are doing!

Hagan Ace Hardware Mandarin Jacksonville

I went to purchase painter tape as per the attached. They said I could only get it at that price if I ordered it online even though I was standing there. So I guess I could order it on my phone, then step back in line and pick up the online order. Really goofy!!! Went across the street to Sherman Williams and got an even better price!!!!

All goofiness aside, I would align business practices to have a consistent and positive customer experience.

I get all my of my Sthil equipment serviced here, and purchase my new equipment here as well. Very helpful and knowledge team, repair prices are very reasonable.

It's really kind of sad when you try to support local businesses, even to the point of paying the 15% to 20% higher pricing than a national store, but the attitudes, lack of stock, and indifference drive you right back to Lowe's or Home Depot.

This morning several of us were made to wait outside the store, after the opening time, while the employee was playing on his smartphone. As 2 people left the comment, see you in a few minutes at Lowe's, was made.

Then once I got inside to look for a new lawn mower I was advised that "Lawn mower season is over". I was not aware that here in sunny Florida (where my lawn gets mowed year round) that there was a season.

I have made my final attempt at supporting this store.

At the end of the day they need to close not servings people
Visit them to cut a key 10 minute before closing from the door the employee say we don't have the blank's to cut this key

It's a small store, so inventory can be limited, especially for bigger projects, and they do tend to be a bit more expensive than Lowes/HD, but they're always my first stop because their people actually take pride in their jobs-- understanding what folks are trying to accomplish, knowing where things are in the store, etc. Plus they're close to home, which helps a lot. My only complaint is they don't always have what I need-- however it has never been because inventory was not managed properly. I think they should ditch the outdoors section and the gift shop and carry more DIY inventory, just me though :)

Went to get some vegetable seeds, could not find them.

Employees are always very knowledgeable and helpful.

Went to Ace to get some chairs we had our eye on. We got to the register with our coupons we had been collecting and buying from kids selling cards in the neighborhood. At the register a kid took 25 minutes to understand the coupon concept while the line piled up behind us. Finally when a manager came up he referred us to small print on the back of our coupons essentially screwing us out $5. Yea, it s $5 but it s also a crappy customer experience. We left and told them to figure it out. Be careful of Ace. They are crummy car salesman that lure you into their shop just to play the gotcha game and embarrass you in front of other customers. They are the place with the helpful hardware folks with a shady marketing dept that screws people over $5. Go to Lowe s

Not that I go around visiting Ace hardware's and rating them. Lol but this is a fantastic place to go not just for your hardware and things to that nature. The products they carry are the same top notch maybe a little overpriced but you get what you pay for.

Be nice if the older fellas that work there didn't stand over ya like your gonna steal something.

Thus place is great. They always have what i need and the staff are all mature knowledgeable adults who like what they do and are experienced in their fields. I always go there first.
