Hagen Ace Hardware Review

Purchased (4) hanging pots of Vista Fuchsia (Supertunia) in March 2017. Was told they could handle full or partial sun, and are low maintenance. Two of them have already died. I requested store credit and Evan declined stating there is no warranty on hanging plants. Very disappointing and not the service I expect considering the money I've spent with Hagan over the years. Time to find another place to spend my money$$

Sep 2016- 2 stars- Every visit to Hagan's is usually a good one. Today's...not the best experience. I had a $10 of $50 to use so I was getting an air filter, plug, and chain for my stihl quick attachment system. The guy tried to sell me the wrong filter for stihl. Huge no no. Lucky I knew which one my head unit needed! Had to wait for him to go to back 2x which was 4 minutes per trip. Hey...here's an idea...keep your stock on sales floor where customers shop. Wait...that makes sense. Scratch that! Then the girl at register didn't know how to check to see if they had a tan sidekick in stock. That took a few minutes for someone to help! Sorry Ace. I love you guys (despite your high prices), but today just wasn't the best experience.

I much rather do my shopping here with these guys than the other big box stores in the area. They have a better selection and their people are helpful and friendly. Some of their prices are a little higher for certain things but the quality is way better.

I am never disappointed with this particular Ace, particularly when I'm shopping for specific plants. Their inventory is impressive, very good looking plants and unusual species of plants. Sales people are very friendly and knowledgeable about plants and bugs that attack them. Another successful trip today...for carnivorous plants!

Generally, Hagan Ace Hardware has most any item you need, however, during the last two days of hurricane sales tax days there were no NOAA Weather radios displayed on the floor. The salesperson went to the back and located two such radios. I purchased one of them and the customer service provided was above exceptional. This was not the first time I was looking for an item that none was available.

Cashier told me I could not return my item, even though i had just bought it and tried to bring it back in because I realized the color was wrong, i will not be shopping at this ace from now on.

I recently bought flowers from the florist department for my wedding vow renewal. I bought flowers for my wife and two daughters. When I arrived to pick them up, they had added a boutonniere in for me-so thoughtful. When I was leaving, Sondra had heard I was surprising my wife with the renewals and said some very kind and sweet words to me. None of these things were expected, but were done by the kindness of the employees. Thank you so much!

Friendly staff they always try to be helpful. They have a little bit of everything you need. The depth of selections is a little weak IMO. They have something for everything you need but not many choices.

We only had about 15 minutes to peruse because they close at 8:00pm Friday.
There was quite an eclectic. Mix of items and we will have to go back and look around again.

Store refuses to practice social distancing. Manager says masks are not required. Store needs to be boycotted because they do not care about the customers are their employees. They lost my current and future business. At least Lowes is making the effort.

Plants in the garden center are great. Phenomenal orchid display in the greenhouse. Garden manager, Debbie Tucker, is knowledgeable, personable and she is wonderful to work with building a garden and landscaping.

I've become a big fan of Ace over the past couple of years. The locally owned and operated feel of the store keeps me coming back. They don't have everything that Home Depot or Lowe's does, but can get most projects completed.

Needed copies of the house key made; simple, easy, quick, and cheap. You get all four! Also regularly helps my mom with misc house repairs and yard projects. 100%

Went here 3 times today checked out with The same cashier twice NEITHER time did he say Thank you and BOTH TIME I SAID THANK YOU HAVE A GOOD DAY...The 2nd time I addressed the manager who was standing there and he had a dumbfound look on his face like he didn't know what to say So I said it for him this is POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

After being told the previous day that parts I was looking for we're in, and making the trip again, I was told that the parts were unable to be located, and that some mulch, and fish food I was looking for was also unavailable. I was not impressed with this episode at this store. It's usually better.

What a store. They have a little of everything in there store.

Love this place. It's become one of my top places to get plants for the terrariums I'm building. They always have a good selection of plants for me to choose from and prices compete well with the other places I get plants. The folks there are always friendly and helpful. They even take time to chat and hang out with my kid. I highly recommend this place whenever some gives me the chance.

Used to love to come shop here but store and plant section dont seem to be as well stocked anymore.

Was better than I expected compared to other Ace Hardwares I've been to. I like any Ace but this one just exceeded expectations.

One of my favorite Aces. They have a great selection of SUP s and gear on hand.

They have expanded gear like paddle boards and kayaks as well as all your lawn and garden needs. The only place in town to buy fungicide like Headway the best stuff to treat take all root rot.

Horrible service. We were in the process of shopping for a Christmas tree and outdoor decorations and they kicked us out TWO HOURS before closing time saying they were throwing a party TWO WEEKS before Christmas. I am so frustrated that they closed 2 hours early on a Saturday when they already close early compared to other businesses (7pm). There was no warning or signs posted and the employee was extremely rude saying "I forgot to close the gate, I sold the last tree I'm going to sell today. They will be here tomorrow" Well guess what? I sure as hell won't be.

Everyone working here is extremely helpful. If you're in search of something and not 100% sure, this is a great place to start. They loose one star for pricing. I like to support a smaller local business but their pricing on some items can be outrageous compared to what you can find the same item somewhere else for. Signing up for the rewards program helps. They typically mail 2 $5 off coupons to be used each month.

This is an overall great location to shop for garden plants and home project hardware. I prefer coming here, rather than Lowe's, because the employees are exceptionally friendly and helpful without being intrusive; they're there if you need them. That combined with the available selection and quality of products makes for a great shopping experience. If one lives in the Mandarin area I recommend this as the first stop for home and garden projects.

Store Manager's mask was below his nose, some personnel did not have masks on. Some customers did not war masks. I'm not going back to that store!
