Very good friendly service. Way better than the bigger chains like Lowe's and Home Depot. This location has all the extras. Paddle boards and clothes, plus all the tools of course. Even a gifts and florist place attached to the store. My daughter loves the free popcorn and I enjoy looking through the mix matched paints marked down.

Very helpful staff. They did not have the item I wanted, but directed me to another store that might stock it. I have always found what I needed at Hagan Ace Hardware in the past.
Bought my new kayak here. They went out of their way to take of me with a short notice trip to Mandarin park so I could try it out. Great customer service.
A huge thank you to Lisa Harrison the Garden Shop Manager for helping me select the best flowers for my Spring photo sessions. The flowers made an incredible backdrop! While in the shop I was overwhelmed by the selection and condition of the plants and flowers. I can't wait to go back!
Staff is always very friendly here. This store has the 'shop local' feel with a large variety of products similar to big box retailers. This location has a lot of outdoor wear, gear, and other related items as well, and their garden section is second to none. Their staff is very knowledgeable and can help with advice on a number of garden and lawn care needs.
Ace is a nice store and I visit there frequently. However, based on my last experience, I wonder how often they check safety issues. As my son was parking the car, I went to get a cart from outside the store. The plastic on the handle was broken and sharp and surrounded by rusty metal. I started through the automatic doors with the basket, but decided to change it due to the broken handle. As I backed out of the automatic doors, they started to close on me. Fortunately, by that time my son approached the store and helped me. There were employees around, but none really expressed concern. I will continue to shop at Ace, but really hope safety becomes a priority.
This store is failing as our neighborhood hardware store. I would rather drive to Lowes or Home Depot than to try and get any help...good luck with that...from these guys.
Hagan Ace Hardware is always wonderful! Never disappoints with plants, plant advice, gifts, and every paint, hardware item you could ever hope to find!
Employees are very helpful and courteous. They may not have the selection of a giant home improvement store, but the knowledge of the employees more than make up for it.
Friendly staff. Garden department extremely knowledgeable with fertilization and pesticide application tips. Prices sometimes higher than larger stores, but conveniently located.
Had some door keys copied. Staff seemed very knowledgeable and helpful. Much more accessible than Home Depot or Lowe s.
** UPDATE: Got home and tested keys. None worked so had to take them back. They remade new keys and the second set finally worked after a lot of jiggling. What a pain to have to go all the way back and still not get a good product. Nice people, though.
I am a tad biased in regards to Ace Hardware but I will once again rave about the amazing service by the amazing employees and I was in and out of the store with everything I needed in less than 10 minutes, and that included getting my propane refilled. Those of you who are familiar with propane and propane accessories know that it's not a fast process typically. But at Ace Hardware, everything is easy peasy lemon squeezy.
Just had a bad experience at the Mandarin Ace on San Jose Blvd. Took my Stihl weed eater back to them to check for about the 5th or 6th time now because it runs rough, cuts out on me, bogs down and hard to start. Granted I have had it for good few years but they can never seem to find the issue with it. Today when I took it back to them for more of same problems and explaining it again and even showing them a video to prove that it s cutting off they laugh and make it sound like it s running normally. This is very unprofessional and I will not buy another Stihl product and especially from this Ace and especially for the money spent for this. I will go to Lowe s in the future!
As far as hardware stores go, it's great. Not at all like home Depot or Lowe's. Not much for construction (wood brick etc.) But great for any kind of hardware. Their garden section is great. Recently updated.
The staff will ask you if you need help, and usually im in and out fast, but some times I want to shop around and I bring my kid. She loves coming here which is really cool. With popcorn in hand, and a vast curiosity of what everything is, she can stay busy while I browse around. Wouldn't try that at home Depot or Lowe's since they are too big, and it's not kid friendly at those stores.
They do a great job, bit don't expect to go there to buy an over priced refrigerator. They are not a big box stores, they are truly a hardware and garden store.
The best Ace I have been in. Very large selection of everything. Extremely clean. Great experience. I just wish I had more time to look around. I had a limited amount of time.
There's a lady (I can't remember her name) who works in the garden center, and she's wonderful! She has helped us many times times with bugs in our grass. She also teaches at a local university; her knowledge is priceless. Thank you!
While inventory isn't nearly as big as Lowe's or Home Depot, I've never met a friendlier or more helpful group of people at a hardware/home improvement store. For an Ace, they've also got quite a large store with a good inventory and better than usual pricing.
Pretty amazing store. This Ace is laid out like no other Ace that I have ever been in. Staff was very helpful I like going to this Ace when I am on this side of town.
Awesome selection of plants. From the conventional to the not so conventional and rare. Prices are a little steep, but it was awesome walking around the nursery area. And, I did end up buying some carnivorous plants.
I enjoy shopping at Ace. Always find what I need and if not, the employees are more than willing to help. I recently discovered their gift shop Which I will be exploring soon!
Great place, personable and knowledgeable staff. Refreshing to step in their store and find some of the unique items that you won't find in the big chains.
My wife have shopped here for numerous items in the past year, after moving to FL with great satisfaction. I just walked out of the garden section with disgust after an employee, Tom (agriculturist) spoke to me as if I was a child and extremely condescending after asking a couple simple questions. This dude needs to go back to customer service class.
