I've just stayed at the Grange Moor for a wedding and whilst the staff were without exception friendly and helpful, the beds were REALLY uncomfortable (you could feel the springs, they sloped in the middle etc). I spoke with several other guests about this and they all had the same issue so I don't think I got unlucky with my room.
If they fix that (rather significant) issue then this would be a lovely little hotel.

Very disappointed. The couloir smelt really really really bad like rotten bananas mixed with old carpets. I was in the room number 1 very claustrophobic to sleep in. At about 4 am I woke up with a huge dry and sore throat the other person sleeping in the room with me as well. I looked through the window to find any clue and there was a huge black ventilation just under the window. Now after one day back home Im really sick (cold and flu like symptoms). Please Wake Up!!!

Great hotel, consistent great service, long running hotel. has been there ever since I can remeber. I have attend many functions here, never been disappointed, staff are always there to help in any way to help your experience be the best. top notch. great location 5 min drive or 15min walk to and from town centre.. just a 20 min walk to maidstone east rain station(London line) and 10 min walk to maidstone west train station (Strood to paddock wood line).

I have stayed here a few times now but more often than not we come for dinner or Sunday carvery and the food is always amazing and the staff are so attentive and friendly! I feel so lucky that I live close enough to keep coming back here! If I was having an event I would definitely choose to have it here!!!

We were given a twin room which wasn't in the main building. It was a converted attic room with literally half a bath and a chair. There was a wooden beam obstructing clear use of the toilet. My colleague is 6'2" and very big needless to say it wasn't suitable and no discount or anything was offered when we complained. We were a party of 5 and needless to say we all obtained refunds and left. The manager was totally unhelpful and would rather lose money than assist or deal with our complaint.

Stayed here for one night the staff we're really lovely and welcomed us with a smile. The room was a very nice size and came with a nice sized bathroom with shower as well as a wardrobe, draws, and a vanity. The breakfast was great, had a very quick service and the chef was very catering. The only thing I can really fault the hotel for would be the outdated room decor. I would love for the beautiful look of the outside of the hotel to resemble the inside. The bed was also very stiff and gave me a sore back in the morning. Other than that loved our stay.

Lovely staff and very nice roast carvery meets Fawlty towers old style stairs up down and up again structure. Fire alarm at 6am made me smile, wasn't the burglar alarm... That's a semi-tone higher... At least

Argumentative foreign waitress told me I could have ice cream with my desert instead of custard. Turned up with custard. Claims she told me initially there was no ice cream yet others had ice cream on their desert. Steak was perfect hence 2 More

Nice place to stay for a couple of nights.

Nice place to stay for a couple of nights.
Grange Moor is close to Maidstone centre, which as you can imagine, made it really quite noisy with traffic. Rooms are very clean and staff are very helpful.
I would advise taking ypur own soap, as the dispensers they have are terrible. When you eventually manage to get a bit of soap, the soap makes your skin itch. So those woth especially sensitive skin, do NOT use.

Excellent location for getting about. The beautiful river Medway just down the road where you can take a river cruise, or have a spot of lunch.

I attended a wedding last week at this hotel and found it exceeded expectation. The parking, the service, the staff are all very good. I also stayed two nights and was given a very a very comfortable room in their smaller building, quiet with new shower room new carpets.

All in all, very good value for money. Specially, if you need to go to Maidstone town centre as well, it is about 10 minutes walk.

Stayed here on business. Free parking and a nice hotel. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Rooms are clean and tidy. Didn't eat in the restaurant but I had breakfast here it was okay. I would return here.

Upon arrival there was ample parking available and the receptionist was friendly and chatty. Breakfast was not included in the price, but was offered at a discount when checking in. The rooms were comfortable and a good size, with hot chocolate included on the hospitality tray (always a bonus!) Although the decor was a little tired it was certainly clean, and the rather lumpy bed was large enough to find a comfortable area to sleep in. My colleague and I had dinner in the restaurant. As with the rest of the hotel, this area is in need of an update, but the food was very good and served with a smile. Breakfast the following morning was generous and tasty, although it seemed there were too few people working to ensure speedy service and cleared tables for the relatively few residents. The area surrounding the hotel is nice, feeling safe and probably expensive to live in. There are more churches than I can imagine the local population knows what to do with. I'll consider the hotel again if work brings me to the same area. It's not five-star by any means, but offered a perfectly reasonable experience for a very good price for the area.

We stayed in Grange Moor Hotel while holidaying in England as GBP is cheap. We like our very clean room and the new shower room. The food was very good for the price charged and drinks were inexpensive unlike most of the hotels. The hotel has very good parking and is in a quiet location with 15 minutes walk to the town center.

Please don't be put off by bad reviews of the Grange moor. My wife and I stayed. The car park is hidden out back with plenty of room. All the staff were friendly and entertaining. Our room was spotless, comfortable and quiet with clean towels etc. We had two meals in the restaurant both great presented well and the chef had pride in their work.great value for money

Have not stayed the night so can't comment on the rooms but have attended parties there and I wasn't impressed the last time I was there to say the least the food was unimpressive they did not cook enough although they did rectify this! Eventually.
