I looked on the Dickens World website to find out the entry cost and there was nothing. I eventually found an article online from Kent Today newspaper that stated the prices had been reduced and what they were. There was NO information about opening times. We went there today (21st July peak season) and found it was closed. The website did not give this information but having checked now we're home again, it says it for today. We had Great Expectations but found it was Bleak House. I only gave it one star because you can't post a comment without rating the experience.

The guide was entertaining.......

My 8year old pointed out he didn't learn much about Charles Dickens "why is it called Dickens world, there wasn't much about him in it"

Santa was lovely but the set up around did not look like it had been dressed nicely, it was very cold looking, I had an expectation of it being richer looking and more inviting.

I was disappointed on the whole by Dickens world, it was shabby, and poorly executed.

I wish I'd just taken my son to Bluewater to see Santa now.

I have not visited before but can understand other reviewers negative comments. However our guide was excellent and kept people's interest for the 90 minute duration of the tour. I think that it should be possible to provide more information that can be viewed on an individual basis after the formal tour.

booked to go for our anniversary.

Loved it! The guide was very entertaining and knowledgeable. The set was very well done and realistic. The information we learnt was very interesting and makes you think about the way we live today compared to the way they used to live. I must admit i was expecting there to be a few more actors around to keep the illusion of going back to the dickens days of London more real but all in all we enjoyed it very much. Would have enjoyed it even more if there were less people in our group as for some reason when the guide said "This way" it seemed to take everyone half an hour to move on to his next spot. As always stupid humans tend to take the magic out of these things just by being there! other than that (which is no fault of Dickens World) it was brilliant and well worth the small amount of money to get in.

I really enjoyed tour in Dickens World. Guide had good knowledge of history and he had clothes as people in Victorian era - it was superb however the guide spoke very quickly (I'm a foreigner). The price is very friendly.

Used to take my daughter when it first opened and it was fantastic, took my nieces today (sept 2016) expecting the same and was very disappointed, what used to be an immersive experience of Dickensian britain is now a guided tour round a deserted stage set, the tour guide was good and the only reason I've given it a star at all, sad decline of a venue I have very good family memories of visiting, would love to give a favorable revew but sadly cannot

Too expensive. Not one pair of 3d glasses work , afterwards were told they had all been dropped therefore none would work.. then why were we given them and told to watch the film??
Boat ride had been removed. Also the dress up part did not happen either. Very disappointed children!
Save your hard earned, do not waste at this 'attraction'

"All it needs is more of 'an investment' with the core fundamental foundations to be an incredibly fundable asset, its the keen captious maintaining of 'Dickens World' that needs prior support requiring a keen ambitious eye and mind to seperate the dark victorian era danger with modern health & safety within an attraction environment. Perhaps putting out procedures more to reach the customer a bit more based even on satisfaction brochures describing what they may have liked or disliked about their personal stay with a personal comment box. From what i gather i would like to say otherwise as i feel a pleasant stay would be within grasp if more or less certain action to tackle obscurly natural issue's which could be maintained rather easily were put into play however, when i think of the circumstances i feel the word that springs to mind is unfortunately 'in-consistency'. The attractions just dont have that 'WOW' factor expected from such a world class renown book writer's name as of yet, but if the particular slight adjustments combined with more funding if were available then potentially, i believe i would be rather satisfied."
