Large hotel area but still nice and cozy atmosphere. Rooms large and spacious and always hot water for a shower. Sofa corner with kettle with coffee powder and tee. Plenty of water bottles and fresh fruit in the room every day, very much appreciated.
The staff always wanted your best and always had a smile on their lips.
We Scandinavians had their own host, Mohammed who you could ask about everything and knew what you could meet him. Quick check-in. With good info from Mohammed and from the guest relationship that was in the hotel.Many different restaurants to book against supplements. Only tried the buffet restaurant and it gets ok but no more. But the service fantastic. The beach and the long jetty out to the reef with very good snorkeling, absolutely fantastic. The pool also good with all its bars around. Very good holiday.

Yes, also nice. Were with the Italian and spaghetti different varieties eaten in front of the spaghetti there was an appetizer you can create in the interior, you can always go back. The drinks regularly free one has special wishes wine or beer one pays a small obolus. With 4 people it was 12

Stayed here from March 12th to 19th. Great well-kept area with great service. The room as well as the food was very comfortable with a large terrace. However, the bathroom should be renovated urgently. Great sea, great beach with good service. All in all we felt very comfortable and will definitely be back!

The worst hotel I've ever been to.
We have been going to Egypt and my family for 9 years and it has never happened to us that we have come across such a bad hotel. The staff is reluctant, for everything, even in the framework of All inclusive, he asks for money, the pool is dirty, the dirt in the showers is so dry that it can't even be washed away. Good hotel in Egypt. Not so good cleaning. Food could be better. Not so much entertainment. We had access to Makadi Place. Much better drinks and entertainment.

Beautiful garden area, the hotel is getting old and has shortcomings. Food is also possible in the other hotels, partly for a fee. Drinks are in the area not all inclusive. The animation was minimalist, but good oriental shows.

We have been to this hotel twice now and will book for 4 weeks in December. For us the coziest house in Makadi Bay!

We spent two nice weeks here and were also completely satisfied. Sure, it would urgently need new paint and beach chairs on the beach a general overhaul but the oriental flair and the great house reef ... also the well-kept gardens are great ... especially in the evening really impressive! We would come back.

Super well maintained, nice staff, weather was great for January / February. Food is recommended.

The hotel is already very old. The room (junior suite) is very, very large, clean and I like the tile floor and the large terrace. It is only a few meters to the beach. The reef can be reached very well over a footbridge. It is best to snorkel in the morning, as you can even see Blaupunkt rays. Now to the meal: the breakfast is for my conditions quite okay, because I need no fresh sausage and the like. The selection for dinner is not very large and varied. Tip always ready, otherwise the staff will overhear the second order.

I absolutely cannot recommend this hotel.
Unfriendly staff, bad rooms (bathroom in a very bad condition) pool area leaves a lot to be desired as the tiles are everywhere in the pool. The whole hotel needs a general overhaul. That's why I can't understand why it has 5 stars.
They are in poor condition by the pool as well as on the beach, the cushions partly broken.
About the food I have to say that unfortunately there was the same every day.
All in all, I'm really dissatisfied.

Makadi Hotel managers are disrespectful and not properly organized.
The sea is beautiful, the area is also very clean but the men also lie a lot!

Staff on the lookout for tips (if not pulling the head). I injured myself in the pool (lots of tiles are missing!) Over 8 nights, we changed rooms every day, each more rotten than the other (mold in the bathrooms, bedroom walls, hallway, air conditioning broken , door without handle slamming in the staff corridor, frame of the room impossible to lock on the ground floor) and the food ... Pfff not once well cooked pasta ... Even to my worst enemy I would advise against it! !!!

Just a poor run down place compared to better hotels in sal hashees

In my eyes, not even a star at the time construction site pool many tiles broken, AND ALWAYS THE SAME EATING AT AI. IN THE RESTAURANT you pay a little or more and then the food is good.

The hotel is older, but the rooms are large, the pool area is large, the whole area very clean and well maintained. The entire staff is very friendly and helpful. A major shortcoming for me is the food. The food in the buffet restaurant is unimaginative and very monotonous. You should switch to about 11 restaurants, there are a few different dishes the appetizers and salads are the same, there are also many only with extra charge. By the way, for snorkel lovers a paradise, only swimming in the sea is not because of the reef. Overall, however, a relaxed holiday.

A dirty hotel with old furniture, the shower curtain is one big mold and the pool is one big collection of crushed tiles and dirt floating on the water surface. Even a dog would not touch food. Smelly drink served three times a day. Complete tragedy. The service does not help at all and the resident of eti ordered to "do scandals in Poland". I would not recommend this hotel to even my greatest enemy.

Nice, cheap all in hotel in Egypt. Food and service is at a very high level for this hotel category. The pool needs new tiles on occasion.

One of the worst hotels we have ever stayed in!
We were there for a total of 2 weeks, in the first week we moved 3 times (other families also affected!) The balcony doors didn't close and we were also on the ground floor!
Bathtub and gulli were clogged so the water pressed through the gulli and the entire bathroom plus toilet area were flooded! In German it stank for a day in the entire room after Sch ......
Lights in the room defect repaired after 2 days!

Loose tiles which could cut yourself if you weren't careful!
Good drinks only against payment. Normal drinks taste like chlorine as they are only mixed with syrup via a tap!
Mold in the bathroom and toilet area.
No toilet brushes in most rooms!
Ice cubes are made with normal tap water (which you should actually only use to brush your teeth)
Plates and cups shortage in every restaurant and that in winter, what do you do in the high season?
Annoying sellers on the beach who want to sell something to everyone that you don't want at least 5 times a day

Hotel looks very nice, so we were there. Where we arrived they told us that they have no spare rooms and if we mind giving a room from the other hotel. But we should not be afraid because we get 2 bracelets. Simply unserious. The food in the main restaurant did not taste at all. They had just cooked something so it just has something. At A la Cart the food was a bit better but very little. If I wanted a main meal twice, they always looked at me so weirdly how ashamed you are. Once was barbecue evening. There they gave me only 2 small pieces of meat and looked into my face. I understand, there may be poverty but we had paid? Although all inclusive was not free drinks everywhere. The servers were very intrusive to my wife. Like you never saw a woman before. Unfortunately, I advise against it. I'm sorry Grand Makadi. No more!

The worst hotel we've ever been to! Song ... Dirt .... Stink ... Arrogant delegate Abanoub Maher ... restaurant without air conditioning ... Forget swimming in the sea ... Swimming in pools only until 17 pm and it is over 40 degrees. .. Hotel is undergoing renovation so prepare for working workers and noise, cutting cakes ... Everything is wrong !!!!!!!!! Leaving the hotel after 3 days at your expense !!!

Best place to get to the reef for snorkeling! Dreamlike underwater world with colorful fish like in the aquarium. Beautiful oriental plant.

Very old hotel, bad buffet, very many bacteria for gastrointestinal diseases. Staff very nice. Water access from the beach mega dangerous even with water shoes very slippery and sharp-edged stones. Worn chairs and cushions.

Very nice facility, and very nice location! But in need of urgent renovation. Bathrooms are very old and not fully functional.

I do not recommend this hotel because the all inclusive formula does not respect the quality of the food is of low quality. If you want a beef speack you have to pay for a cocktail like that. The pool is missing pieces of tiles everywhere great the photos when friends tell you what these big stains in the water are. Tips galore otherwise the services are less in short I have never seen that me who is used to traveling. Never again Grand Makadi..Salpeter or mold on the room walls..Pool loosen the tiles..The whole area urgently in need of renovation..The only thing that has earned five stars is the gorgeous reef

The catering facilities were completely dirty. You couldn't touch the chairs, otherwise you would have stuck.

A very successful vacation. Very nice, large and spacious hotel area, but you can only walk in the hotel area, all around is desert.
The facility is kept very clean, the service is very friendly and fast.
The food is varied and delicious, several specialty restaurants can be used. The buffet restaurant is right on the beach with a sea view.
The room is very clean and nicely furnished, very large balcony and large living room / bedroom.
The pool area is very large and beautiful, but has some broken wall stones on the floor.
The facility is located directly on the beach and coral reef and is recommended for snorkeling. You can't really swim here, as you have to be very careful of the stones / corals. The water is gone in the morning and up to the legs in the afternoon. At the beach chairs, the path to the beach is separated by a stone wall.
The evening shows are very small and manageable.
However, clear recommendation to soak up the sunshine and pure relaxation!

We booked this hotel as a couple for a week in August. I don't understand some of the bad reviews. The hotel is really great for the price range. The outdoor areas are spacious and beautiful. Due to the coral reefs, there is no sandy beach, but you can still swim in the sea. You can see the years of the plant, yes. But that's what makes the charm. The staff is incredibly friendly and courteous, even if you don't have a tip at hand. The fact is that Egypt is a poor country, so it shouldn't be a problem to leave a little tip. Kudos to the starfish waiter. From the second day on, the right drinks came without us having to order them in advance. I have seldom experienced such perfect service. The manager of the Leonardo restaurant and the entire team also provided exemplary service. For eating I recommend the ala carte restaurants. The Arabesque wine is really worth the money. For the birthday there was a delicious cake in the room. There were always contacts on site. The entertainers were incredibly nice. The pool is in need of renovation, the tiles are loose every now and then. But that doesn't detract from the fun. The pool is huge, nicely set up and it's just fun to plunge into the waves here. Now and then staff comes who want to sell you tours or drinks for an additional fee. With a nice no thanks, the matter is done. The sunsets on the beach are amazing. Room simply furnished, but clean and comfortable. Air conditioning does a good job. Of course, this complex cannot be compared with the European or American resorts. But it's a dream from 1001 nights. We'll be back and looking forward to it!

A little tip on the side: Of course, the staff tries to sell products that have to be paid for. These are mostly very good (especially the wines and cocktails) and should be tried. If you're really not interested, just be friendly. With this you get further than if you just hold out the rejecting hand.

The grand makadi ... is getting a bit old ... it was probably the first of the four hotels ... five stars (as in advertising) they look a little different than the grand makadi 3.5 star ... otherwise we were satisfied ... the price / performance ratio is ok

Unfriendly service and everywhere begging for tips or money change, poor all inclusive service and rooms in poor condition and partly dirty. Drinks supply under the badass, despite friendly demand only 1 liter of water daily received, you cannot pick up fresh bottles, only refill at questionable water dispensers (only 2 in the whole area) and only at "service times" from 10am (generally Drinks at the pool only from 10).
No clever advice on tap water (e.g. brushing your teeth should be ok, guests from other hotels were strongly advised against).
The food in the restaurants and buffets was partly good, mostly mediocre and often not enjoyable.
General hygiene catastrophic.
We both lay flat for 1 day each with stomach problems that still persist.
You could go on like this forever.

Second time in Egypt but now for the last time.

Guests of the Makadi Palace can only get something to drink at the bar in the Grand Makadi (although the same hotel chain). Thumbs down

Did not like the staff. Are only on the tip off and want to change money all the time. The buffet has a large selection and is always about the same. Could only stay at the beach or pool until about 18.30. Was asked to leave the area. Otherwise, the hotel is nice and well maintained with only small flaws. Under 5 star I imagine something else.

Very nice hotel, very nice staff and very helpful. You always have to reserve food in the restaurant, otherwise there is an open buffet that also offers very good food.
The pool in the hotel is very large and clean, it is cleaned every evening. There are a few tiles missing in the pool but that's not a problem for me.
The rooms are a bit too dark and unfortunately not perfect, but they are checked in and cleaned every day. The cleaning staff is very nice and always looking forward to a little chat.

There are 2 restaurants that you have to reserve, and there are other options in the mall to eat in restaurants, where you have to drink and pay for some food. A lot is freshly prepared. The waiters are very accommodating. There are always enough loungers on the beach and even drinks service. A jetty for diving on the hotel's own reef. Etc..

Very nice area, a bit older but clean. Food in the Lagoon very bad no choice and very poor quality (buffet restaurant), however, the Allacard restaurant are good. No 5 star facility.

Honestly I give 1 star for the simple reason that we have reserved for 2 people all inclusive but if you want a coffee a cappuccino 1 cocktail or a steak you have to pay extra then everything you have already paid will give you 4 spaghetti on the cross, the landscape is beautiful but with an empty stomach you don't enjoy your holidays so much ..
