Grand Hyatt Melbourne Review

Excellent check in service! beautiful view of Southbank river! Super clean room.

We were visiting some friends staying there. Room was beautiful and spacious. Entry and lobby was also very nice

My son and his bride spent their wedding night here. The hotel upgraded them to a lovely suite on the 33rd floor and delivered Moet and chocolate strawberries. Smart move! as we regularly stay at such hotels and will now favour Hyatt.

Planned well inside and very supportive staff. Good place for any tourist

Lobby excellent. Rooms a bit dated. Hotel not bad overall. Try getting a room at the Westin first if you can (Rooms have nicer ambience and lighting). If you cannot, the Grand Hyatt will do.

The security guard who attended us. He don't know how to talk to people. He was rude, Racist, disrespectful and uncooperative and his behaviour was totally unacceptable. He was treating us like so insulting. He knew that this was our first time in your hotel and Instead of helping us, he was yelling on us. He was taunting on us. And trying to be smart for no reason. And he was arguing with us. From the be gaining when he opened the door for us, he treated us soo rude.
You have such a beautiful hotel. At least keep some well mannered security guards for your hotel. We have performed in many events in Australia and out of Australia. But I have never seen security guard like him.

Beautiful hotel to stay at. I will return here again. Staff were so lovely and professional. Great location too!

Had the most amazing high tea for my Mums birthday, we were served by Mary and James and they went above and beyond to make our afternoon amazing. Thank you so much to the team at Collins Kitchen we will be telling all of our friends and family who come to visit Melbourne to visit the Grand Hyatt and enjoy the high tea experience. Thank you again Mary for being so nice to us and really looking after my mum this will be a birthday so won t forget!!

I love staying at the Grand Hyatt, the rooms are so comfortable, spacious, well appointed and an excellent location. The restaurant is great for a business meeting or quick bite. One of the reasons I love staying there is the fantastic gym!

Went for a corporate event and found that function area and service was great.

I've stayed in several 5star hotels around the world and The Grand Hyatt ranks up there with the best. The staff were what made the hotel so fantastic. From our initial chat with Jerome at the front desk who spent ages looking up dumpling restaurants, to Claire who helped us sort out late check outs and finally James (concierge from level 31) who absolutely rocked. James spent ages chatting to us and then left us a very personalised note after fixing our loyalty program booking. The hotel is beautiful, but the staff bring the genuine warmth and heart to the stay.

Awesome staff, room well appointed and hotel is just across tram station.

Location was perfect, reception was pleasant.
Room was initially clean, spacious with all the necessary amenities. Really liked the large bathroom.
Breakfast was something I was slightly disappointed by - one of older lady server was very rude, told us there is no table water and we have to self-service when I could later see there were table waters available. ?racism. Variety was limited, although, compared to intercon Sydney there was a good mix of everything but if you compare to international standards, still lot to catch up.
The most disappointing thing was our room was only half serviced and I thought it was a JOKE (please see attached photo). I did mention it to staff during check out but did not receive any other feedback.

Beautiful hotel, room is great, but Maddy at the front desk was spectacular. She was so kind and helpful with information about the best places to go in the city, how to get around, and what's going on in town. Could not have asked for a more friendly or helpful check in experience. And I'm pretty pick and critical when it comes to these things, I'm not easily impressed. In a day an age when the art of customer service seems to be a lost one, I wanted to make sure an recognize Maddy for rising above and making a difference, so thanks!

Only went to shop at the cigar shop attached to the hotel. Hotel lobby is beautiful, friendly, helpful staff and a wonderful aroma

A nice hotel in the heart of Melbourne. It is the second time that I stayed here, a mistake (wrong rooms given) have been quickly resolved. We had a suite which is (obviously) quite spacious and access to the buffet for breakfast and light dinner.

Grand Hyatt Melbourne is aptly named. I doubt I have ever been to a place more "grand" in Australia. They threw a fantastic event and the staff were amazing.

Attended a friend's wedding here and everything was perfect. Staff were very professional, food & drink was provided timely and the venue was setup very nicely.

Treated me well for my birthday and hotel welcome was first class, but the lack of attention to detail (hose tension made shower head very difficult to hold position; basic toilet paper; ineffective toilet flush) reinforces why AirBnB is a significant alternative to "5 star" hotels.

Beautiful hotel in town I was there last weekend on Saturday(20/0102018) for a beautiful wedding and the reception looks mad. The way it was decorated it was amazing. The staffs were very polite and serve us well. The food was so yummy .
I would recommend this hotel to anyone who visit Melbourne.

It's center of the city, everything within walking distance

Fabulous stay, fantastic concierge, loved everything about this hotel.

Never disappointed with this place. Italian pop up (Ladros) was excellent.

Stayed on the maternity floor, excellent amenities and service, although the room itself was not huge, and once the small bed was wheeled in for our toddler, space was somewhat limited. Food was very good, although the first steak was overcooked (not too overdone, but certainly not medium-rare)
P.S. The second steak was perfect.

4.5 Stars; rooms a little dark and small to be "Grand Hyatt", but service was excellent, fitness club very good, and location was perfect.

I went to visit the gym as my friend invited me. Its pricey however the facilities it has are beyond standard. I do reccommend the gym for people who are more interested in relaxing and being social.

An Amazing 5 star hotel, located in the upper class heart of Melbourne. Upon arrival at reception, which is accessed via the entrance on Collins Street, or the escalators on the lower lobby on Russell Street (don't forget to visit La Casa Del Habano cigar shop), you are greeted with an astonishing foyer and friendly staff.

The Grand Hyatt suites are of the highest class and the exclusive Grand Club Lounge is an exquisite domain to sit back and relax. Dining at Collins Kitchen is a lavish experience, and the food is impeccable.

The City Club Health & Fitness Centre is enormous, and the heated indoor pool is a great place to unwind. Better yet why not pamper yourself at the luxurious Sanctuary Spa.

All in all, staying at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne is a tremendous experience, that I highly recommend to everyone!
