I was in a car accident and had to visit the Grady ER as a precaution and overall the experience was quick and pleasant. Four stars because I have no experience with the other services of the hospital. My review is specifically for the ER. I was seen on 1/31/20 in the late morning. Staff were quick to check me in and the wait wasn't terribly long--about 15 minutes. Everyone I worked with was professional and friendly and made me feel comfortable to ask questions about the care I was receiving. I will say that security at the door left something to be desired. When I got there no one was at the desk with the walk-through metal detector so I carefully walked past. I was already in the building when I was scolded and told I needed to turn around and have my bag checked and go through the metal detector. While I was in the waiting room, I realized it's because the man was more interested in watching Rambo on the TV around the corner... As for there being homeless people around... The waiting room was almost empty while I was there, but there was a woman who appeared to be homeless attempting to enter and was turned away. (I assumed it was because she had already been seen and they couldn't help her any more at the time.) I personally have no problem with homeless people being in there like others do. They need treatment just like the rest of us. If you don't like homeless folks being around then do something to help the community...

In regards to the many many poor reviews for Grady: unfortunately, our healthcare system is broken and many employees are doing all they can. That being said, know your rights before you go to a hospital and ASK QUESTIONS. Don't be afraid to be firm.

I suffered burns and was taken to Grady ! Everyone I have encountered with 2 exceptions in almost 2 years of visits have been wonderful. The staff in the burn unit and surgery center are top notch.

I have had 2 different people in that Hosp 1 was a stroke patient and no one could asked for better service. I give Brady a big 5.
Then I had a friend in the burn unit the Dr and nurses was awesome the whole time
My son is a Cobb country Police and said many times if he ever get shot please make sure he goes to Grady.
So there for I have not a bad thing to say about Brady Hospital .

The hospital is very nasty i was sent in by ambulance they place me in a waiting room first at 31 weeks pregnant and inside the waiting room there was a huge puddle of blood sitting in the corner of the floor that looks some one had miscarried and like the blood had done dried up from being on the floor for so long then as soon as i got placed in a room i was given a dirty bloody gown to put on thank god i spotted the blood before i was about to put it on and the room was very small and dirty the baby bed warmer was broken down with all kinds of other broken tubes and tools inside the baby bed and no tv or phone inside the room the bath room was stinking and was dirty also and the nurse was being very rude nobody hardly ever came to check in on me it took them forever to collect ny urine sample and send it off then as i was on my way out the nurse claim that she had already sent my medicine out to the pharmacy soon i get to the pharmacy they didnt have my medicine at all so the pharmacist and i both called down to grady and the nurse on the 4th floor who answered was being very rude and difficult to the pharmacist and myself i wouldn't recommend no one to have any of their babies here at all theyll place you anything and anywhere they feel like putting you at pregnant and all they dont care to me about the pregnant moms or new born babies

To get through on the phone to find out the most elementary things is absolutely RIDICULOUS!!!
I was on hold nearly 2 hours. I was hung up on and ended up calling back twice to finally get ANYONE that either could or wanted to assist me. The first person I spoke to, identified herself as a nurse (had a heavy African or Caribbean accent) was in no way, shape or form interested in helping me. And must have given me the first number she saw. I finally got connected to "Anna" who was very apologetic for the entire experience. She was really most helpful. Maybe, she should conduct customer service training for whoever answers your phones. Although I was calling on behalf of someone else, everyone deserves to be treated with respect. And not to be made to feel that they are imposing, are a bother or they don't matter. They only light was Anna

I recently broke my ankle this past summer, and had lost my insurance so had to pay out of pocket for services. I was referred to Grady because they were more affordable. For every visit and follow-up, they were extremely accommodating, and took great care of me. I would definitely go back if ever need be!

I came into the emergency room with a fractured hand, they put me in the waiting room for over 10 hours. No exaggeration.. I couldn't believe this. I read on their computer that they put hand pain in. But I told them I was in A LOT of pain. And I also told them my hand was broken. But because I wasn't hysterical, I'm guessing they thought I was lying. Once I got to the back, one of the same guys that admitted me after shift change was the same guy that had to get the equipment for my cast. I'm sure he felt silly to see my hand was in fact actually broken. This was a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Grady is the #1 trauma center in the state of Georgia! Has been for years!!!! THE ONLY HOSPITAL IN GEORGIA WHO IS EQUIPPED TO HANDLE ANY AND EVERYTHING THAT MAY COME THERE WAY !!! Yes, it is in the middle of Atlanta so the surrounding areas may not be ideal however do not let that blind you from the excellent service you will receive ........... GO TO GRADY FIRST, YOU DONT WANT TO REGRET IT!!!

This emergency room is the worst. If you are truly sick you have to wait hours for medical attention. The staff is rude and very unprofessional. Constantly giving wrong information. I have lived in Atlanta all my life and I hate going to grady.

Awful! I hate wasting a perfectly good star on this place.

I waited 11 hours for an exam room and another 2 1/2 hours to see a doctor. Waiting room is full of homeless people and Atlanta s less-fortunate. It s loud and unruly. That said, the staff is courteous and tried their best to accommodate. I ll be staying clear of Grady in the future. A truly awful experience. NEVER again!

Horrible care, went into the ER around 3:30am with my husband who was having chest pains/tightness and trouble breathing that seemed to come and go in severity, they had him sign a bunch of junk and wait in the waiting room until 8:30am before "seeing the doctor" which turned out to be another hour for the ONE doctor in the entire ER to have to go through everyone's rashes and bumps before we gave it up. If he was having a big heart attack he'd be dead by now. The nurse that asked why he was there looked at him like he was making everything up, if I could give this place negative stars I would. Thanks Grady!

My mother went in for phenomia flu and high blood sugar she left with two punctured arteries in her left and right side of her neck paralyze from a stroke on her right side a track feeding tube stage 4 bedsore to the bone malnutrient and dyhrdatred no one did any thing about my complaints. My mother life change for ever and she will likely die from the bedsore. Her records where altered I have proof Drs lied about her condition and care. Worse experience ever. Watch your family in their care. Nurses did allot of cross contamination I have videos and pictures. My mother medical information was left in her room in a folder anyone could access which violates HIPPA. She was left for hours soaked in urine unable to speak due to a track. Nurses complain about having to care for her in front me unaware who I was till I spoke up. My mother was in their care for 7 months. Im concern for those that dont have love one's to check on them. They tried to manipulate me to put her in a home associated with them to cover themselves. Sorry excuses for care not all nurses where bad Aljaundra was wonder and Dr. Jordan tried their best to help my mother. Inexperience drs should not work on critical patients. Disgusted with the care my mother recieved. Had she been home with this type malnutriention and bedsore I would be locked up yet no one recieve any consequences.

the 5th floor of grady hospital is the worst , it's mostly for out of surgery patients. All u hear is moaning all night , people complaining about there medicine. They treat people horrible. Everyone has their phone out texting, laughing . it's a joke really it's free money. Stay away if you can from , nurse Lisa and charged nurse ngozi . They both work the night shift . Grady will hire anybody it's like Oprah they step into the street and randomly pick people homeless and all and say , you get a job, you get a job, you get a job.

I've read some of the low ratings and don't think I've seen that Hospital. My father was admitted to the Burn Unit after a fire and they have been ridiculously attentive. Every part of the hospital is clean and quiet, but I did not see the ER to be fair. Every doctor, every nurse, every admin has been polite, respectful and gracious. We did come in through the trauma unit same goes for that. I've seen how they treat the patients and family of the injured with absolute compassion and patience.

It was my first time at Grady and I must say that I have no complaints, I walked into the emergency room feeling like crap it was not long for me to be seen and once I was seen and the xrays and blood work was done by the emergency staff I was taken back to the red zone and they went to work. I had neglected my health and was on a slippery slope but, once everything came back from the lab they acted swiftly and now I am good as new they gave me classes on diabetes high blood and showed me how to take my shots etc. I spent several days in the hospital and my experience was A-1, I will honestly say that I would not be alive without Grady. Thank God for Grady Health Systems and the great team of healthcare professionals they have on staff there. I am still a outpatient at Grady.

I was at Grady on 8/22/2016 for pain in my uterus and I was 25 weeks pregnant. I came in at 3pm wasn't placed into a room untill 9pm and the nurse that was at the desk was very rude. I asked her how long would it be before I see a Dr and she told me I was better off going home in a rude tone of voice. So 11pm arrived still no Dr and the fat nurse was making faces as I looked out the room door to see if anybody had come I later just walked out the hospital the nurse didn't even try to give me. My discharge papers. The most nastiest experience I've ever had at Grady the nurses aren't caring instead rude and disgusting to be on a mother and infant floor.

Look everyone I understand that there's bad nurses and doctors and employees, but not everyone is terrible, every hospital, every restaurant every store has good and bad people, it just depends who serves you,
But I came to visit my hospital and I spoke to very nice nurses and they treated me nice and with respect my Mom was well treated here when she had me Grady is a school so that's why they are here to train doctors and nurses to become the best ever and treat patients the way they want to be treated

This place is a joke. I was taken to trauma in an ambulance after a road bike accident. When I left, I still had asphalt in my face & hands. All they gave me was a prescription for Motrin, a crappy sling & a neck brace. I told the doc my neck really hurt. He told me I could have damage to my ligaments but he didn't do anything to test. Just sent me home with a Kmart neck brace. THEY DIDN'T EVEN TELL ME MY SHOULDER WAS FRACTURED!!

I was rushed to Grady by ambulance. I was having stroke. EVERYONE, and i do mean EVERYONE I encountered cared, was not in a rush to leave and gave me their fullest attention and service. I have been to hospitals to accompany other people and I have to say the service at this hospital is unlike anything I've ever experienced. The staff CARE about you and they show it. I was almost released, but there were so many people (b/c its a teaching hospital) that another doctor who saw my case told me to stay for another test. That saved my life! They were not stingy about tests to run and wanted to find out everything. Having another test done revealed I had a blood clot in a major artery leading to my brain. I was then admitted and I have to say, I am so grateful and impressed with their care and owe them my life. I suggest everyone go to Grady if you want top notch care.

The ambulance took my mom to the ER om 4/30/2016 and we set in the ER from 8:30am to 10:30pm before they took her to the floor. My mom has a problem eating and has had diarrhea for months. She has steadily been losing wait since she had stomach surgery at Grady years ago. Her intern doctor looks at her body weight and assumes parental abuse. We could tell by the questions she ask such as "who handles her checking account?" What in the heck does that have to do with her health. After admitting her they would call everyday in the am to tell me she would be discharged. When I get there they would tell me they would be keeping her another day. My mom has been walking and getting around on her own, even at her weight. They assume she has been bed retain at home, although we continue to tell them she is not bed retain. They told us that we had to pick a hospice agency to do home hospice before they would let her go home.

I had a procedure done today in the Women s Center, and the staff was very friendly and informative about everything that was going to happen. Like everyone I encountered today! Honestly, I couldn t have asked for better nurses and doctors during this difficult time. 5 stars and more!

Worse hospital ever

Worse hospital ever
My fiance and I were in a head on collusion two weeks ago. I had a broken arm and a broken knee, my fiance had a broken hand. I am also pregnant and they denyed that I was. They put the stuff to wrap my arm up on their nasty floor and used it on me. They told my fiance his arm was fine and after two days he went to Atlanta medical and they told him his hand was actually broken.
They let me sit in my own urine for over 30 minutes and then one of their techs pulled my pillows out from under my leg that is not supposed to bend. When they were taking me into surgery for my arm they didn't tell me about wanting to do surgery on my leg until right before I went under, thankfully I did not approve of it.

I am 6 weeks pregnant and they told me I wasn't.

This hospital is absolutely the worse.
Save a life and go to Emory or Atlanta medical

Only one doctor in the whole hospital, and his ethics are questionable. There is a very creepy policeman that insists on putting a lollipop in your mouth. If they treat you, they'll hold you prisoner after you're well and say that you "owe them" and force you to take an assigned job.

Also, they really need to fix the elevator. It doesn't work, and it smells pretty bad. Would not go back!

I had a stroke august 26, 2018 without the great doctors their I would be dead. And the gracious father above. My family was told I'd probably never walk on my left leg use my left arm but I proved them wrong. I walk , I use my arm I even drive. Jessica vincent was the best, my nurses jason and Josh were the greatest. I couldnt have asked for better in ICU.

You could die of bleeding to death, they are uncaring, left me and 1 other lady in my area she crying and I'm half awake and half sleep, so I got my husband and walked out, that is in professional and ridiculous, plus before I went to the back it took them 5 hours to call my name!!!

I was checked in at 1PM on September 9, 2020, due to a car accident and was left waiting to see a doctor until around 7PM. I wasn't offered any of food as trays was passing me about. They put me along with a lot of patient's in the halkway, where medical staff passed us about like we were problematic for being there. They walked all around us as though we didn't exist. They even brough in patient's into the Emergency room, and was to social distance them 5 feet away from other patients, but left them 2 feet apart. I question an EMT who left a patient covered in thick black hives to distance the patient, but she got offended telling me that she was going to move him when they told her where to put him. She went over to the Nursing Station, and starting talking and laughing with them for awhile before moving him him out of my direct presence. She walked back over to me with a insensitive smirk on her face. I witnessed Medical Staff sitting at their work station's neglectful of patient's that was either on stretchers in hallways or in rooms for lo g hours. They left me on a stretcher in the hallway for several hours claiming they were waiting on somebody to come to get me from Imaging Center to take a Cat scan. They left me there until they changed shifts, and the same possess started all over again. I told the Nurse who took over that I needed my discharge papers, because I had been there since 1PM, and still had not been taken to imaging yet. Another hour went by, and a unit tech on that floor took me, and a Hispanic who had been crying on a stretcher was made to get up and follow up to thevimmaginf center. He had consistently complained about stomach, and other problems that they had assisted him with that didn't work. The test was taken, but we were lied to about the results taken 15 minutes which took another 2 hours. I was still not offered anything to eat, but a doctor sent me two pain pills on an empty stomach. After placing an uncomfortable neck brace on me, she retired to her wirkstation, and stayed home so long that that when she passed by me I thought she was gone home for the day. I was aware how Nurses treated their patients down there, but was not aware of the doctor's neglectfulness. I didn't get discharged out of Grady until almost 11:00PM when I got there at 1PM. I feel like if I didn't speak up I would have still been down there in that hallway right now. I witnessed many people getting up, and walking out of the hospital. However, my husband cane there with me, because he was in the accident along with my daughter. They imm4 took him to Gramma Unit, assigned him to take a Cat Scan, left in hallway from 1PM, and didn't put him in a from until 5:00AM this morning. He was admitted due to major complications, and were told that he was going to receive great care. Well, he has congestive heart failure, and kidney failure and wasnt6 even offered a sandwich. He had not even since 9AM, and he was given a urinal to use in a hallway when anybody could have witnessed his private business. Grady has created a System that's unpredictable, and seems to place patient's at a higher risk of failure, diseasess, and total neglect due to lazy confortabilities of positions. My daughter wasn't even offered a Cat Scan Test by a different team of Medical squards, who seemed more interested in small talk and quite exits. She was called to the back after waiting several hours, and returned in 35 minutes. Also, the air was so cold in Grady that if you wasnt6 sick prior to entering it would be a Miracle to walk out of there not. I know it's a free hospital but what happened to being sound about humanity, because I found Grady to treat patient's in an inhuman practice.

If it was possible to give no stars, or negative 3 stars, that would be Grady's rate.
After being in a car accident, I transported myself to Grady for an emergency check up because the back of my head felt as if it were splitting in two. Waited in the emergency room for an hour, transferred to a different room for another hour, then was given one pill to help the 'headache'. Then they transferred me to the walk in clinic. About two hours later of waiting I was seen, head still killing me. And GUESS what? They transfered me back to the emergency room where I waited another 2 hours before going to a different hospital with my head still killing me.
WASTED 8 HOURS THERE AND THEY ARE NOW TRYING TO CHARGE ME FOR NOTHING. WORST HOSPITAL I'VE EVER BEEN TO.

You or your loved one will DIE there. Under all curcumstances NEVER go to Grady!!! The ER & Doctors may get the patient through the initial emergent situation but the staff WILL literally KILL you or just let you DIE.
MANY of them cannot even speak EnglisE or understand it.
I'd give it a -10 rating if there were such a thing!!!!!

While the wait was terrible, I was so shocked and immediately went into depression when I heard over the phone that my bill was 2800 for a couple of stitches. I didn't have any insurance. I received my bill in the mail and learned that I only have to pay a little over 100!!! For that alone, I am eternally grateful! Five stars and my future praise to people about Grady.

I went to the facility for a life threatening issue in the ER. After an 8 hour wait I was seen by a doctor who rather than concentrate on my dying, began interrogating me as to how a Black man could legitimately have lived in "so many" states and cities. "What do you do for a living?" "I am going to access your records and see why you have been so many places." I have filed federal and state complaints and will be holding demonstrations at the facility.

I also sent information to the CEO and his PR staff with articles I have written for major publications and interviews I have done with TMZ, FOX, CBS, NBC, Australian, German, UK, Russian, Canadian, etc. TV, magazines, and newspapers on subjects ranging from national security to Hollywood. Guess who I have not heard back from. PURE RACISM simple and plain. I look forward to suing them.

Grady is sorry as hell. Nurses and doctors think they are always right 100% even though it can be clinical errors involved. They dont listen or read charts correctly. Goofy nurses calling my number about something that the doctor already treated. If they read my chart throughly they wouldve known that. Too lazy to read patient charts , just want to hear themselves talk. You know your body better than anybody else.

I love this ER! It is the best in Atlanta. They make sure to always have enough staff to meet the patient s needs. The ER wait is never longer than 30 mins every time I go. They even keep sandwiches to hand out to patients in need. Everyone knows Grady cares. Atlanta wouldn t be what it is without Grady.

This is the worst experience that I have ever had with any hospital in my plus 66 years. Staff is rude and incompetent. We have been waiting for 3 weeks for simple order of bedside commode and wheelchair. Waiting even longer for therapy order. No sense of urgency! Other hospitals transfer patients to Grady for Trama center which is supposed to be the best in the nation but beware of what happens to the patients after ICU, unbelievable!!!

Been at the hospital twelve plus hours on Friday the thirteenth. Day shift was amazing in the er zone 3. However when night shift came on this been the most horrific experience ever. The nurse Lorraine constantly not giving any information when asking questions about my mother who is the patient, I inform Sabina A the charge nurse and she has the most stink attitude ever! How can you be a charge nurse in a hospital where patient satisfaction is number one but there s no compassion at all. I left from getting into it with anyone 8 hrs into night shift. I m constantly calling because we re yet to know if my mothers getting discharged or admitted and I had to argue with the nurse and charge nurse and then she tried to use hippa against me but yet I ve spoken with a doctor as well as er supervisor which have information due to me being on my mothers chart and this cancer patient of a charge nurse says this?!? I can t wait until Monday to play the recordings for hr. This hospital employees in the er zone three is horrible and makes the company as a whole looks bad. I wouldn t send my dog here for this type of treatment not to mention my mom been in the hall for 12+ hours in a bed

When my husband was life flighted to the trauma center, we were impressed from moment one. The staff took great care of him, were gentle with his injuries (sounds silly, but some techs just bump you around on the bed, move limbs in weird directions too quickly, etc.), and took time to make sure I was informed and calm. They let me stay with him every moment he wasn't having an x-ray, even commenting that we would both feel better staying in contact. Absolutely the best experience I've had in a hospital and I've had a few.

This has been the worst experience ever in a hospital. I would never come here again. I was in a really bad car accident and the officers told me I could either go to Atlanta Medical or Grady . I chose Grady because they said they were best for trauma. Once in the hospital , the moved me from different beds, cat scans, and different exams with a dislocated hip , broken femur bone, broken knee, and ankle. Then I finally went to have surgery Tuesday at 4:00pm. When they brought me to the 11a I received horrible service from nurses. They was only 1 RN that great. She was an RN named Jasmine. So I asked for a transfer and they said I had to talk to my social worker. I talked to my social worker and she said I had to talk to my insurance company. I called my insurance company and they told me was able to transfer to any hospital that I like. Then instead of a transfer they moved me to floor 12a because they said there I would receive better service because it was 1 nurse to 2 patients. I went to 12a and still received the same service. I have to press the emergency button 20 times to get service, then after that it takes another 30-45 minutes just for someone to come. I don t care how good they say Grady is for trauma I would never recommend this hospital to anyone.

I was admitted into Grady following a tragic car accident ending with a deeply lacerated arm. I was treated very poorly given the fact that I was covered in dirt of which they did not provide me with a tetanus booster even though one of the nurses asked but never followed up with any doctors or other medical personnel to provide me with one. Also, my arm was not cared for properly because after my discharge I still had dried blood, dirt, and fiber glass still all over my lacerated arm. The quality of care I received was very disappointing. You would think you would be treated fairly even with full coverage health insurance.

-5 stars.

-5 stars.

1) Mother has been seen a few times @ Grady. Brittle Diabetic. Mass on pancreas. MD and RN staff have been rude and physically and verbally abusive
2) Questionable billing practices. Unable to get a clear bill balance
3) Some rather disturbing content which happened in 2013.

This is the worst Hospital I ever visit. I guess it at to Atlanta Region awful infrastructure. I waited nearly 10 hours in this Hospital. Along with nearly 6 dozens of other people. I don t care if I am dying, I will never go to this hospital again. This Hospital needs to be closed down. Never ever experienced anything like it before.

This is the absolute worst hospital that u could ever step foot into if its not for the metal detectors at the door rude overworked staff everyone is in a messed up mood from nurses to doctors and the grungy appearance it has it looks as if this hospital should have been shut down years ago. I will never again take advantage or say anything against the wellstar hospitals ever again. Once again the worst experience ever when it should be one of the happiest moments. We are in the labor and delivery section right?

Until today I would say my son has had excellent care . But tomorrow he will be released after being promised he wouldn't be at least till wheelchair ramp was built . He is disabled after stroke . So he is being taken home and put in house with no way to get out . He has no insurance . Have applied for Medicaid back in Feb . but have nothing . So If he runs out of medicine he needs to live everyone there will be ok with that . Cause you caseworkers today it is out of their hands and sending him home. Can't believe. this .Does no one care ? Is it all about money

Let me begin this by saying that I did have some good, bad, ugly and a whole lot of lies! The response time at Grady is good like any other hospital when it comes to chest pain and fast hart rate. Now I had a wonderful ER tech, Dr started out on top I was his #1 priority he said...I listen as they talked about my care and we do what we would do anyway. My BP was 158/109 heart rate was up at 130! I have had Factor 5 for years! I had had 3DVTs, 6PEs, and 1TIA!!! And these fools would not even keep it straight with me! I had everything done to me and stuck! The pain was horrible and I had to ask for pain medicine so many times after the fist dose at 4:00! I was told by default I was going to be staying at the hospital. My nurse never came back to answer my pages to the bathroom and pain. It was 7:30 at this point and the admit Dr is finally coming in to tell me what the tech told me on the way to the bathroom that they were keeping me. What in the World! He did his song and dance and of course didn't want to believe me with my health history but whatever... Then to make it worse..everything he said he didn't do! And I get to the floor where I was sharing a room with a nurse who had No Brain! This Dr came in my room acting like he owns the whole hospital and he lied straight to my face, my daughter, and the nurse! He claimed all she needed to do was make 1 call and they would make sure my meds were right! Lie!! Everything! People were throwing up on the floor u could hear it! A lady screaming from her pain! People walking freely in the hall! Doors open! Someone died on the floor! The time 1:30am! I am in so much pain and the Lie's just kept coming! And then the phone call I had my nurse make because I told her I was leaving and I did Not Care! I was lying there for all those hours in pain and had my life in this Doctors hand and he left me to suffer. He wrote a note on my chart that I know he didn't want or ever thought I would here about or read! And my nurse showed it to me not thinking I would really read it and demands the copy and I am going to expose this Doctor and the the others for what they did to me! I am going to expose this horrible thing! I know I could not be the only one who would these Dr wrote false reports and left to suffer while they walked about like the own it all! But due to my health and history I not a fool and this isn't my first time dealing with bad service from a hospital! So I m exposing this for what it is! WRONG!! No one should ever have to be treated this way and if I can save 1life by doing what I am doing then at least that is 1 more person alive! I will get justice for this! Stay away from here and the rooms and staff on 10A! And the Drs names I will report on here! Grady maybe good for some things but this is NOT the way or what you do!

AVOID!! My son has received routine vaccines here by appointment for a year. Vaccines are fully covered by his insurance company, but in one occasion, the billing department billed it as walked in emergency service. I had to contact the insurance company to find out what happened and took several calls to the Grady billing department with insurance company's representitive to get them admit it was their mistake. They told me to ignore the bill and they will take care of it. After a year, I saw my credit scored dropped by 80 points. The bill of $155 was send to the debt collector a year ago. Shocked. Had to pay for the bill that I did not owe to get it removed (Don't know it will removed from my credit report yet). Shocking hospital, terrible service, really bad billing department. Not a nice experience at all.

I was admitted to the psych ward in October of last year. Conditions were horrible and the staff was rude and awful. No one had a bed or private room. We were in one large room and our bed was just two plastic armchairs pushed together and 2 blankets per person. Instead of helping obviously distraught or mentally ill patients they screamed at them or told them to shut up. They screamed at one girl who was talking to herself to be quiet and when she kept talking to herself they dragged her out of the room as she kicked and screamed (as any logical person would do when 2-3 nurses are viciously screaming at you and physically dragging you.) I never saw her again and I hope she is okay. The bathroom was disgusting. A family member of mine called the nurse at the psych ward and the nurse (Onyi) was extremely rude and hung up on her after a nasty comment about not being able to see me. Staff was also racist. I am white and they treated me with more respect than patients of color. (Not to say that I was treated with respect, to be clear.) they repeatedly lied about when I would see the doctor and tried to give me Benadryl to put me to sleep because I was bothering them by asking questions. (I was in a good state of mind and was there unwillingly, so I wanted to know when I would see the doctor, be discharged, get to see my family, etc.) I was told that if I wanted to get out of there I needed to act like I wasn t crazy, otherwise they would keep me here. (??) no interest in helping patients. I don t know why any of them are in the medical industry especially considering that they couldn t (or wouldn t) answer my basic questions regarding treatment and hospital policy. Came very close to suing but decided it would be too big a burden on my family. This place is DISGUSTING.

What the hell is up with the parking?

What the hell is up with the parking?

I pulled up to drop my husband off and drove out. Traffic was so bad it took 15 minutes to get out, and the guy at the ticket counter was going to charge me $5. First of all, what the hell kind of hospital charges for parking by the minute?! Second, if it took 15 minutes to get out of the damn lot when all I did was drop off my husband y'all need to open another counter!! This is ridiculous and frankly greedy!! Like hospitals don't make enough money? And the ticket counter guy was rude as hell. Gave 2 stars because I don't know how the actual hospital is.

I am sending this review on behalf of my husband. He was in a car accident on 7/8/14 and was picked up by Grady EMS. On Saturday 4/30/16, I received a bill for the first time. This is unacceptable and unethical. No company should take nearly 2 years to send an invoice. Unfortunately, I had to select a star in order to post this, however, my intentions were not to give any stars, Grady you don't deserve it! Nonetheless, I have filed a complaint with the insurance commissioner.

Horrible customer service! I came at 1 am and left the emergency room at 10. The level of unprofessional is abundant. The staff have no level of respect for mankind. It is so sad how staff call people bums, talk about their well being, and so on. This place us gettho fillled and to include while I'm sitting down here in pain jasmine, Camille and the other staff is talking about bundleds of hair, news, and other staff. This place is ridiculous!

I was question about how sick I was from security. He told me when going thru the scanner to hurry up I called the supervisor on Thurs about 9:15 pm. I didn't feel please with him he kept reminding me he was on another call. Overall if you black and need emergency help don't go to Grady after hours. The security turns into doctors who hate there job.
