Beautiful Theatre. Was on the main level and could see very clear.
Beautiful Theatre. Was on the main level and could see very clear.
First time visiting for A Christmas Carol. Such a charming and intimate theater!!!
Excellant venue. Easy in and easy out. Very clean and well maintained.
" A Christmas Carol " is a 40 year family tradition in Chicago. This year's production is superb and this likely will go on for another 40.
Nice place, would definitely go back to see more shows
Wonderful theater, saw SantaLand Diaries, top-notch production!
Offers best and most consistent stage craft in Chicago Land/Loop area. Been a subscription holder for forty plus years. Loop parking is a challenge, but contact ticket Office for recommendation.
Great place for theater. 2 theaters inside with one smaller venue. Lots of quality performances.
The people are nice its just very messy from all of the carpwt outside of the theature condiments arent available to get your hot dog they dont let u know that its ready so basically anyone can grab your hot dog
Great time here. Went to see "A Christmas Carol". Very impressed with the performance. Theatre overall was in pretty good condition. Clean restrooms and very courteous staff ready to assist and point you in the right direction. Also great experience for older kids (Age 7 and up). Parking not too expensive as long as you pre-purchase it in advance. Look up your show on the Goodman theater website and get the parking in line with the timing of your show. Highly recommend.
My first show and I was blown away. I got the tickets as a gift.
My daughter and I saw A Christmas Carol. The production was engaging enough to keep a 7 year old girl enthralled. The facilities were very nice with comfortable places to sit while waiting for the show to begin. They had a free coat check and the stage door is near the exit so you can so hello to the actors as they leave. The Goodman would be a great first date or 50th anniversary spot!
Once again my name is Ira the name of the company Dan Ryan. I drive a lot of clients to the Goodman Theatre. They have great shows.
We had seats in the rear of the balcony, second from the last row. We could see and hear very well! The bathroom was weird, it was small and the sinks were right where the line was, then after washing my hands had to double back to get a paper towel. The bar had only one bartender during intermission, I waited until I couldn't wait any longer because the show was starting. I never did get a bottle of water!
I saw A Winter's Tale last night and the performance was great. The casting was brilliant, set design a nice mix of simplistic and fantastical. I just wish there was a little more arm room in the seats.
The staff is great the shows are great can't say anymore than how wonderful the Goodman is
Wonderful quality and very professional theatre experience
Very nice place. Run by donations only. A real jewel.
I spent $700 on tickets and they send me a secure form where I cannot print the pdf tickets...Really!!!
Theater experience is great. But currently the front of theater has become a homeless shelter. Never sit on the outdoor window sils. It's a sleeping and storage area for the homeless.
I love the goodman theater. They do quality productions and often get big name stars to grace their stage. I like the layout of the theater. But i especially like that it is not an oversized theater. It feels intimate and draws the viewer in. Exactly how a show should treat the guests. Located in the theater district with great access to parking and restaurants.
The Goodman theater is a wonderful venue. The play I saw last night. Black Lives. Black Words was one of the best I've ever seen. Kudos to the cast and Goodman for hosting this history making event.
Excellent facilities. Well located, easily accessible. We watched the Christmas Carol show. Very well produced.
I love the Goodman. "New Works Series" if FREE and AMAZING! See a show.
Great theater with great plays. The Blind Date was amazing. I loved it. Learned so much about an important political encounter for the history of mankind. Loved the details around American and Russian culture.
5 year subcriber and just got 2018-19 in the mail. Best date nights, love going into the city. Great location, discount parking
I have seen many amazing performances here. One of my favorite theatres in the City of Chicago (and there are LOTS of theaters in Chicago). Wonderful front of house staff...a beautiful yet modern space.
It is a very nice place to see a play. Note:they do not have an expresso bar here so coffee up before you arrive
Excellent plays, in particular The Christmas Carol. An annual favorite and family tradition
The drive true is a mess, we got stuck for more than 20 min after getting our food and when I ask the employee to help us get out she was super rude and careless. The food is not worth the wait.
Nice theatre.. Saw "enemy of the people".. well done, good acoustics
The production of A Christmas Carol was wonderful. Everyone should see it! The Goodman Theatre is modern, has attentive staff that are courteous, clean bathrooms, and managed with attention to detail. The experience was outstanding.
Always great theatre, fantastic sight lines, loved We're only for short moment of time
Watched "The Wolves." Great show. Theater is very nice too.
Went to see The Music Man for my Birthday. Great seating.
It's my favourite theater so far. I've seen Uncle Vamya and King of Yees here. You can watch performance from any seat and it will be fine.
I saw a great performance of Uncle Vanya here last month, but I am taking off a star and posting this review because they never stop calling me! I have never answered and now have them on my block list, but it continues. Don't ever give the Goodman Theatre your real phone number.
First time experience, it was a great atmosphere and nice theater. Can't wait to see more here.
Fantastic productions. Interior looks like a cheap dallas steakhouse.
I loved this place because they need some engineering work done, and I'm glad to be working. The theater is not yet open for live performances.
Always have superb performances. Never disappointed
There are a variety of shows, the staff are patient and accommodating. I was impressed by the all gender accessible bathrooms and the touch tours. Looking forward to more!
I have loved every single show I've ever seen here!!
We saw The Music Man, a show I've seen approximately one million times. But they made it fresh and exciting. Gorgeous sets, top notch cast. I would love to go back.
This play, Bernhardt/Hamlet was a little slow and wordy, but so was Shakespeare.
Good seats, coat check a bit overwhelming at performance end.
Saw a production of Roe tonight, and it was spectacular storytelling, and executed by a very talented cast and crew. The stage scene was impressive too!! Everyone in the country should see this play at least once.
I don't often frequent the theatre, but I am so glad I decided to go to the Goodman to see A Christmas Carol last year. I had a wonderful experience, and I didn't pay a crazy amount for the "best" seats. We sat on the second level, had a great view of everything, and could hear everything just fine. They had a bar set up in the lobby and little shops to look at or purchase while you were waiting. The event was well organized, as it was easy to find our seats and get settled in before the play began. The staff were well trained and obviously knew what they were doing when it came to guiding us to they correct entrance for our seats.
At the end of the performance (which was fantastic - I'm not going to ruin it for you, just go see it) they had carolers in the lobby as we left, which was a nice way to keep the experience going, as we transitioned mentally, emotionally, and physically from the warmth and comfort of the theater to the wintry streets of Chicago.
Saw The Music Man and it was excellent. It's a very nice theatre. It's not too big, and everyone has a great view of the stage. The orchestra was also excellent, covering some very difficult pieces with absolute perfection. Great musical! Great theatre!
Tickets are cheap and are plentiful. The seats are good and can see the stage. The shows are wonderful with good actors, beautiful lights, and lots of nice sets.
The Goodman sets the gold standard for great theatre.
When are the places you go for the best entertainment in Chicago.
I was attending a free staged reading. its great that The Goodman supports director's and playwright's development in this way
Beautiful and historical chicago theater and offices. Lawyer Kristin Barnett on 2nd floor is especially great.
Fantastic location. Went to see the Hemingway play. Seating is good from all places and the staff is professional and kind. Thank you.
Santaland Diaries was great! Went last minute and got 2 second row seats for $67 total.
Great theater well presented. Choose a play that suits your taste.
If you go, prepare to be called incessantly looking for donations. Sorry Goodman: you lost a patron with your aggressive sales tactics. Perhaps it's time to understand that no sometimes really does mean no.
Clean, easy to purchase tickets, and excellent seating arrangements. Nice experience.
It was cool. We really liked it and having balcony seats
A Chicago treasure! Wonderful, challenging, theatre!
Always great entertainment. Not a bad seat in the house.
Love this place! Not a bad seat in this place. Highly recommend seeing a show here.
