This is only the second time for me at Goodman. The first was a terrible experience. This time was far more worthwhile! Everyone was nice and accomodating. Hopefully the attitude will continue.

The Goodman is great for a different theater experience. They write and produce their own shows, so it's always something you've never seen before (unless of course you see their famous Christmas Carol). They do some pretty neat experimental shows using the set and the stage in ways I've never seen before!

If you are looking for stuff that isn't too mainstream then this is the theater to go to. They have great stuff and have a pulse on the social issues of the time, all of this without taking a specific stance on anything. Plus, the staff is friendly.

Good sightlines to stage from all seats. Also good sound. Can be a little confusing to find your seat when sitting in the balcony, but ushers are helpful. Upscale restaurant is next door. Pretty good deli across the street. Close to public transit.

Wonderful performance venue! Great space, comfortable seats, many bar options, and I love the store in the lobby. I was traveling from out of town and came to see The Music Man (I love Mary Zimmerman!) and as always she does not disappoint.
I could imagine having a wedding or an event in the space as well, which is always good for a nonprofit theater space.

Saw the excellent performance of Music Man. Theater is comfortable, sight lines are good, and acoustics are excellent. Plenty of ushers around to answer questions and point guests in the right direction.

We were in box seats on the third floor on the east side of the theater so whole play took place in a bar scene the bar scene was on the east side of the theater we could not see the bar from where we were sitting only when the actors ran out into the middle of the floor could we see them the hearing was excellent but could not see the play those are the worst seats in the world if the main action is going to take part on the east side of the theater you cannot see that from the box seats on the third floor so I think the play was probably very very good because I've had other friends that I've seen it and really enjoyed it I didn't enjoy it because of the seats that we win when we complained about it we were given a chance to move to any seats that were available but if anybody came in and said those were their sheets we had to move and of course we didn't want to do that and it was three of us so this was not a good experience this particular time but I have been there countless of times countless of plays and I have never never had an experience like this so I will tell anybody that's thinking about going please go to any of the play that I had to Goodman Theater if you get the box seats you must inquire about how the stage is being set up so you will be able to see well that's about it enjoy yourself
