The play we saw was very dramatically done, we were kind of overcome. I cried during the walk back to our hotel. If you enjoy doing that to yourself, go for it

The seating was very nice and the play I went to see was amazing. Must go for a fun night out.
Went to see "A Christmas Carol" this past weekend and my review does not reflect the play (if I could give it 5+++ stars I would! It was great and this is our second year watching it).
The theater is nice, small and clean and there really is no bad seat. We sat in row K and it was perfect! But the -1 star is for the staff at the bar/concession stand. We ordered 5 hot chocolates and since they just give you a cup I guess they can't really tell when it's low. Well they were out, no big deal we let one of the employees know and she said she would make more. That's when the lady at the register told her not to (i'm guessing because there were 10 min before the play started). Understandable no biggie, so she tells her to give us a refund or that we can get coffee. Well coffee is not for everyone, so we ask for 2 refunds and that's when she started ignoring us. Literally a couple feet away and she pretended she couldn't hear us. Then the cashier finally acknowledged us and says we have to get in the back of the line if we want a refund. What the hell! the play was about to begin and there were about 15 people in line. Worst service ever. Didn't want to make a big deal for $6-7 worth of drinks but they could have compensated us in another way such as offering a cookie or told us to go to the other bar.
Great space, very nice staff. We really enjoyed sensory friendly Christmas Carol, and happy to learn there are so many accommodations they can make at any show.
Great performance and venue. Take the family to CHristmas Carol every year.
Went to see A Christmas Carol. A great wsy to kick off the holiday season.
This theater is very nice and it has an Restaurant connected to it. So you can eat and if you have left overs they will hold it for you for after the show.
Saw play," Father Comes Home From the Wars'. GREAT play, really enjoyed it, 3 hrs long.....
The Goodman presents a wide array of programming, from new plays, well known classics, literary adaptations, and their annual holiday favorite A Christmas Carol. The acting is always top notch and the design work is flawless. One of my favorite places in Chicago.
This is a great theater to see any show. It is intimate and the acoustics are very good. There really isn't a bad seat in the house.
Their yearly production of A Christmas Carol is really wonderful and has become a family tradition for us.
Had fun at A Christmas Carol with a good view from 2nd row from the balcony.
Also the pre-order for intermission was a great way to skip lines!

Central downtown location with easy access to restaurants, shops, public transportation and parking facilities. Information desk, coat check, snack bar and gift shop. Greeter at door. Timely subject matter, well written scripts by America's top writers.
Top notch acting from seasoned veterans and new comers alike. No bad seats in the house. Convenient loop/theater district location.
Marvelous viewing, good seats. Saw a Christmas Carol. Best show ever
Have been here once at Christmas Carol. Enjoyed the show and the place
Great theater. Beautiful inside. Every seat seemed like a good one.
it's a smaller venue so that you get a good seat no matter where you are in the theater. I saw The Music Man and it was excellent. The stage was plenty big enough for a large-scale musical. I've seen several things at the Goodman and it's one of my favorite theaters.
Beautiful, modern theater in the heart of the Loop. You can bring your cocktails purchased in the lobby bar right to your seat!
We have been going to x mas Carol as a family for 20 years. What a great show
and venue
If you come from tourism to Chicago you cannot miss the experience of going to the theater, probably after New York is your best option to see quality theater. Among the options offered by the theater district in Chicago is the Goodman Theater, a beautiful theater with all the facilities to give you an unparalleled experience with the cast. The functions change during the different times of the year, so it is advisable to check the work on the Internet. By the way, tickets are cheaper at the box office than on Internet sites. Enjoy an unparalleled experience, and if this comment has been useful, do not forget to like it at the bottom of it
First time at The Goodman and it was beautiful. The staff and the play were fantastic. You can bring your drink into the play which I loved.
Wonderful theater. Christmas Carole was excellent. Don't miss this Chicago experience.
Wonderful theater with very modern architecture. The main theater is gorgeous and super comfortable. Great sight lines, and wonderful Productions.
My girlfriend and I saw a Christmas Carol with her family. The experience was made wonderful and spectacular, because Mary in the ticket office moved us to the balcony because my girlfriends Mom broke her kneecap a week prior. Long live Tiny Tim. & Mary!
I was there for a social event so, I didn't attend a play. But, the have a nice bar and friendly staff and it's a good space.
Lovely, cozy theater! I watched the Christmas Carol here with my family this winter and found the small theater cozy and intimate. I sat to the right of the stage. When buying tickets, I recommend either a couple rows back or even balcony since it s so small, those are the most bang for your buck seats without compromising view. Also, beware of sitting in front row since smog/smoke machines are used that trickle into the first couple rows.
A wonderful theater. They have some of the best and most professional performances in the city. They're always offering discounts making it affordable for anyone to come witness the greatness they display. The only drawback is that the side balcony seating doesn't offer the best views it could.
A great theater to watch Broadway and off Broadway productions.
Comfortable seats, great view, fabulous stage sets, acting superb. Professional.
The Goodman Theatre is a beautiful place. Very intimate, and they put on a great production of The Music Man. Can not wait to see another musical there.
Moving and poignant. Great performance in a one woman show. Definitely worth seeing.
Medium sized theater with Broadway feel and excellent talent. Refreshments available for purchase, easy bathrooms. Bad parking, so leave time!
Great theatre. Clean, will lit, organize and right in the heart of downtown Chicago. Lots of parking across the street with easy access to the theatre.
Wonderful, old theater! Beautifully maintained and wonderful cast!! Special effects were terrific!!
Love the Goodman. Have seen quite a few shows here and it's always an excellent experience!
Not a lot of people know this, but there are actually 2 theater rooms in the Goodman. One is for the huge productions, but I prefer the Owen Theater Room. It's more intimate and the acoustic is fantastic. The chairs, however, are pretty hard and not comfortable. There are plenty of exits and it is never a problem to leave in a timely fashion.
Great venue, friendly staff, and outstanding shows.
Went to A Christmas Carol. Exceptionally good performance!
Lovely, versatile theatre. Helpful ushers and staff.
Saw a play there recently and enjoyed the experience very much. great location. great plays. I would attend another play-
Saw "Music Man" and it was very good. There's parking closeby. Remember to get parking slip validated for discount on parking. Theater is smaller but acoustics are good.
Beautiful theater. Great location. Easy parking options with Spot Hero & other apps. Many food options all around. Content of plays are hit or miss, but that's true anywhere. Acting talent is usually superb. Snack options and drink options are limited and they make you put drinks in paper cups with lids like you're drinking coffee no matter what you seem to get, which I find ridiculous. At the very least they could be plastic... Overall, fun experience and enjoyable though.
Great performance. Good views from every seat. Also liked the recycled programs.
The two performances I saw here - Rent and A Christmas Carol - were so good. Very clean and vibrant environment.
Great theater, really creative shows and amazing actors both seasoned and fresh.
Season ticket holder, love the venue and most of the productions.
I saw "St.Nicholas on January 16th and it was fantastic! I will be coming back to The Goodman!
Love this theater! There is not a bad seat in the house (which is great if you buy general admission seating). I've seen a few shows here, always well done. Recently went to see Santaland Diaries. It was hilarious!
Been a season subscriber for 27years-love this place!
Pamplona was excellent. The theater is very nice and I don't think there is a bad seat.
Love this place! Beautiful inside and out. We have a membership and will continue to visit regularly.
I have to admit I've loved here all my life and have never been to the Goodman. It is a small theater so there is not a bad seat in the place. It's pricey though. If you are driving but the prepaid parking or use spot hero.
