if you go to Fremont Street, then you might as well hit up the Golden Nugget, it's right in the middle of everything and they are a lively atmosphere all night long. If you enjoy the rowdy mayhem that Fremont Street brings then you're going to love getting hype for the better odds that Golden Nugget offers. If you like your slots loose and it really gets your shots hard, cum on down to Golden Nugget.

I'd been told that the Nugget had been recently renovated and it showed. The lobby and interior were nice, the room beautiful. We arrived at 6 PM after driving from the Grand Canyon. Even though it was 6 PM, we were told that our room was not ready and there were no alternate rooms we could stay in ( because they were ALL dirty we were told). They offered to upgrade our room, waive the resort fee and only charge us $14 more a night. We felt we had to accept their offer because they had no idea when all these dirty rooms would be available.
Our new room overlooked an outdoor concert venue and the next night there was a concert there that we could clearly hear inside our room. Unable to sleep, my wife called the lobby twice to ask when the concert would be over. I understand that the lobby was receiving many calls about this concert, however, when my wife called the second time, she was met with indifference and just a little hostility from the hotel staff.
While I understand the concert is not the hotel's fault, but maybe the Nugget could inform their guests that the room they're in overlooks an outdoor concert venue.

The hotel was very clean, staff was awesome... but while we were waiting for the rest of our family to come down so we could go watch the Super Bowl we ordered a drink and for a Bud Light and a white Russian it was $19! Kind of pricey for 2 drinks!

Staying 4 nights. The place is clean. The pool with the shark tank is awesome. The casino is always busy. No coffee pots in the room but there is a Starbucks in the lobby. Closet to Freemont Street and attractions. Would stay here again.

So huge and upgraded that you can go over and over again and see something new! Saw the Frankie Moreno show 3 times now!!! Better show than most on the strip by far!!! I think you can get the buffet or a 2 for one coupon online. Get in drink line very early as it is long and extremely slow. Pick up tickets downstairs and get your parking validated at the same time! We live by SouthPoint and if we don't leave an hour before show time, we miss the beginning. Go early! Exploring Fremont after is awesome!! Beyond happy we found this.

We live in Las Vegas, The day we went to the buffet, they had a decent variety, they boast the best Bread Pudding in the world. My wife had it and said it was one of the best she ever ate. She eats Bread Pudding at every buffet we go in. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give them a 6 in food quality. Service was excellent. Decor was nice, they had just re-modeled. Golden Nugget is the class of the downtown area.

An old, traditional casino - it's a nice place to stop into for a few drinks and games but not somewhere I would want to stay.
My boyfriends wallet was stolen from a slot machine (our fault for not keeping an eye on it), we found the wallet, however all the cash was missing ... the casinos camera that was monitoring that area wasn't working that evening, so it was our lose.

It was a long time since I have been to the Nugget. It was sort of sad. Missed that downtown feel of the place. The Claimjumper was a huge let down. After a long disorganized wait, the food was bland, tasteless and expensive. We will never go back.

Great time at Lita Ford concrry. Great venue except the mess at the top of the escalator where the security check is right there so everyone gets off and just stops causing people to be stuck on moving escalator . One lady had bleeding cut open leg...said she fell but not sure if it was a result of that dangerous set up. Other than that i luv luv luv that ontimate and cozy concert place i. The Golden Nugget!

Nice Buffet. I'm not one for buffets but I had to try it out and I happen to be in the area. Place was clean to my surprise. Was fairly cheap in my opinion. I don't think I broke $20 with generous tip at lunch time. Clam chowder was really good. They were still making omelets so I had to dive in one of those. Sliced ham was good too. Would go back if I find myself in Vegas again.

The DJ had ADD and couldn't play a full song but the balcony view and choice of mix drinks more then made up for the way music has changed. I remember when songs were 3-5 minutes long not 1 minute but at least they seemed to flow right into each other, no stoppage between songs

Golden Nugget was overall a great experience again (stayed there last year). The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the room was fine. Though the outlets near the bed weren't working. The maids did a wonderful job! The pool was clean and the aquariums were nice. I would stay here again!

We met here for a school clinical meeting and grabbed lunch at the Claim Jumper. It was a great lunch with big hearty portions. Our server Karen, was so sweet and just all around great!

I've been going to Vegas for many years first time I've stayed down town in 18 years, nice rooms, great
Pool and very secure. I believe the revitalization of downtown is off to a great start. Everything is there accept having to walk for 6 blocks to get to the action.

We went to the Golden Nugget to go to the Troy Liquor Bar. The bar was okay small dance area and small bar, they had roped off tables which was a majority of the seating. All this is okay though because there was no cover charge. If there was it wouldn't be worth it. Dress code was pretty lax also, pretty casual to be honest.

Great customer service, rooms are clean and they have great room service as well. The swimming pool is clean and fun to go tan or swimmimg. I would strongly recommend you to go eat at their buffet....the food is very good with a large variety of food from different countries to please everyone's desire. Let me know when you are visiting so I can give you some tips about shopping and shows you can watch .

Maggie

Good place to go gabbling at. Some good food options as well. And if you walk out the back door that goes toward the side street you can go into old town Vegas with all of the performs and crowds.

My stay at the Golden Nugget was surprisingly good! There is sometimes a fear that staying at one of the "older" Casinos in LV can mean that you would suffer older amenities and service - but this is definitely not the case at The Golden Nugget. Its definitely updated, hip, and well staffed. Being right on Fremont St is a huge plus for easy access to other fun spots in the immediate area.

My very favorite place to stay in Vegas - this is where I got married! Fun place to bring the grandkids, great pool w/ water slide that goes through the shark tank! Nice rooms, very clean. Great restaurants too!

The Shark tank is beautiful! The Pool is a great experience to enjoy, and is a good vacation for the entire family. The hotel as well gave us a fifty dollar voucher to eat dinner, because our room was not ready when we arrived, but once we got to our room everything was clean and organized, I definitely recommend this hotel.

Stayed at the hotel for 9 nights with friends. I wasn t happy with housekeeping. There were hair in our bathroom that weren t ours and they were there the whole stay. They even completely forgot to clean our room on one day. Staff is friendly, the gym is ok. The pool is great and don t miss the jacuzzi in the evening!
The area and the hotel itself was great!

The hotel itself was fine, but I left my brand new $700 laptop on top of my suitcase and when I returned from the concert it was gone. The room hadn't been cleaned and we had the "privacy please" sign on the door. I don't know who had access to our room, but I was very disappointed that my room was not secure. The hotel suggested putting in a list and found claim, which didn't make sense to me because I didnt lose the laptop. It never left the room. When nothing was turned it (obviously) I got to file a missing items claim. I have 0 hope that I'll get the laptop back, but the hotel itself was clean enough and the staff was friendly.

I'm only giving 4 stars until I visit more. The few times I was there it was busy so I'll give the botd. Anyways.. I think it's a decent spot. They have what most Vegas casinos have to offer, the tables were friendly, I had to teach someone blackjack when to hit, hold some others even helped explain so I liked that. And then you have the 1c and up - seemingly endless variety of slots.

Having been a regular visitor to the Golden Nugget...

Having been a regular visitor to the Golden Nugget since 2000 it's been truly satisfying to see this establishment make strong efforts in keeping itself modern, fun, and clean. The casino and pool areas are among the nicest features within the building and all of the bars are located in areas in which one truly feels the excitement and energy of downtown Las Vegas.

The price of rooms, drinks, and food are quite reasonable when compared to other hotels and one can easily spend an entire day if not their entire stay just at this one hotel. It's placement on the old strip makes it easy to venture out and explore all that Fremont Street has to offer.

Having not stayed in the new tower the few critiques of the Nugget would be that the rooms and the interconnecting hallways, although still quite nice, do feel a bit dated and somewhat dark or dim when it comes to lighting (natural or artificial). Also entering the pool at peak hours can be a bit off putting due to the large amount of children and adults coming and going while likely not showering between bathroom visits. This is definitely not a pool for swimming and be sure to get there early to get your spot on a recliner. Adult pool goers should definitely check out the upper level pool as it has an awesome atmosphere, great music, and far fewer mystery particles in the water.

Lastly for you meat and potato types -- do yourselves a favor and grab a Moco Loco from the Golden Nugget Grille. You will not be disappointed in this deliciously savory dish.

The area itself is in a general flux and it appeared safe but at the same time wasn't sure if everyone there was on the same kind of level I was as far as having to pick up visuals of everyone around you and make sure no one knows cause some problems

The Golden Nugget has a huge shark tank that is reaaly fascinating to watch (free).
They also have one of the best buffets in Las Vegas. The service is outstanding & the food is fabulous. My husband always wins when he plays their slots here.

This is clearly the nicest hotel and casino in the Fremont Street area the pool is very unique they have this giant shark tank and there's a water slide that you can actually slide down into the tank that's very unique they have lots of cool kids table games a little table minimums there's a nightclub out located on the second floor the rooms are very nice overall this is just a great place to stay

The Golden Nugget was my first experience with staying in "Old Vegas" and it may now be my hotel of preference. The prices were reasonable, the casino offered all that I was interested in, they have a great selection of restaurants, and the overall atmosphere was much more relaxing and tame compared to the main Strip. The rooms were clean and comfortable, though we did get shorted on towels during our last night. I will definitely be back.

Amanda from LA, is awesome. Probably the best front desk concierge at Golden Nugget! Thank you Amanda. You were very kind and helpful. The room was very nice. Only problem I had was the Rush tower doesn't have any type of USB charger in the room. I had to go buy a charger box.
