Spent a week here over Xmas & will definitely stay again. Got a corner suite in the Rush Tower, nice big room with 2 windows over looking downtown. It's right on Fremont so if you're looking for peace and quiet look elsewhere as this is in the middle of the action.

The Golden Nugget Casino is beautiful to say the least, great security too! Top it with the Freemont Street experience and you've got yourself a guaranteed good time!
Staff members were nice. Room did it's job. The hotel in general is classy. If you can sleep with lots of noise, the hotel will do. If you can't, maybe Las Vegas isn't the best place for you lol. It's a night life city. Price of a bottle of water was steep. $4 is pushing it. Cool swimming pool and very well kept. Enjoyed my stay!
Good food and people were friendly. Too many workers in Vegas seem to only be there begrudgingly but I was happy with the experience and would definitely give again next year when I come
Jp the gentleman that checked us in was very rude r cocktail waitress at the pool unfortunately i cant remember her name was great and so where 2 of the security guards one wheeled me to my room .but i really think there should be some training at the front desk and out at the pool because with the exception of r pool server the girl at the front door as u walked out to the pool bartender and other cocktail services where not real friendly
Very nice casino for downtown. Still has some of the classic appeal but is also very clean & updated as well. Nicest casino downtown imo. Close to all the older casino's & not as long of a walk like it is uptown now days to get to different things inside the casino as well as outside. Way better comps than uptown. Nice variety of restaurants.
One of the Old Classics located off the strip in downtown Las Vegas. The Golden Nugget has a swimming pool called The Tank that surrounds a giant aquarium full of sharks with a water slide going through the center of the aquarium.
What a great service i really like to 5 star to this casino and i think 5 star is also less for this place deserve more than this. Amazing service decor is totally perfect according to interior. The rooms having the outstanding views. This is one of the best casino i ever visit.
Nice room, excellent 24hr. room service! The G.N. is in the heart of Freemont st. You can hit 5 casinos in a quick afternoon and still go out same night. Try that on the strip and you'll be wiped out that day. Better gambling and drinking. Mature crowd. More gamblers then posers.
Visited this area Fremont st. back in July for our six year anniversary. Loved the area. Cheap drinks cheap gambling. As long as you gamble even if it's penny slots they'll bring you drinks but don't forget to tip. Fun area, ask about the mob museum!
Great old school casino. They treat you right at the Nugget. Knowledgeable dealers that engage the players, classy bars and eateries, excellent cover band playing right by the table games, cool pool with shark tank in the middle of the water and under the water slide. Host services unparalleled. I highly recommend stopping by this venerable institution.
Beautiful hotel and casino. Elegant friendly and definitely ready to serve their guests. These pics are of the tower my husband and I stayed at . There are a few different towers. Didn't get pics. Sorry guys. To busy enjoying our 19 anniversary. Hope you understand...lol.
LOVE THE CONCERTS HERE BUT...THE STAFF IS SIMPLY THE BEST IN VEGAS!!! They take care of you like you were in old Vegas & for us Locals, that's a really big deal & truly appreciated. Wish some of the Strip Casinos would learn from THESE FOLKS! THEY ROCK!!!
I stayed here with my best friend for a night and we had the best time. The pool is nice, the room service was punctual and delicious, plus it has direct exits onto Fremont street!
The Golden Nugget is always a stop for us whenever we are in Las Vegas! It's thriving a part of old Vegas, which is where we prefer to stay. Good tables, flowing drinks and excellent service are the norm here. The Vegas strip is minutes away via Lyft, but you really could just stay where you are. Located right in Fremont street, there are countless places to go: excellent food and cocktails at Park on Fremont and (drunken) late night stops at the punk rock Radio City Pizza, the fun piano bar just across the way, ziplining down Fremont street (because why not?) and free concerts right outside the Fremont entrance to the Golden Nugget.
Showroom is really beautiful and the sound is fantastic. We have been going to Friday shows for the 52 weekends shows. Gary Puckett and Bj Thomas were fantastic. Next is Mitch Ryder!
For starters they can't even number there rooms properly. Some just ain't listed on the wall to point you in the right direction. Then we ask for help and they reply (you just got to look they like to hide them) will not be back impolite staff! And they don't like to help you!
Best hotel on Fremont(although ask for a quiet tower). Free parking for guests still... now almost a thing of the past for most hotels in Vegas. You won't be disappointed.
The golden nugget always reminds of the old school days when you would see all the tough guys around. But now, it is all friendly people around here. The lights at night and the excitement here is great.
We stayed here for a few nights. The room was really nice and had a great view of downtown. Lots of places to eat in the hotel, try the pad Thai at Lillie. Definitely make time to sit pool side. They have a shark aquarium at the pool. You can ride a water slide through it. Pretty neat.
Horrible hospitality in the casino, my wife and I sat down to try our luck at the bar electronic games , we were wanting to learn to play some new games. First we had to ask for drinks ( sitting AT the bar mind you) then was told the drinks are not complimentary unless you bet more, so no problem we started betting dollar bets , then they said you must play faster . My wife said we're not trying to get free drinks just play there and they didn't like it she asked to speak to a manager , then they started offering a comp drink, she said screw it . We paid 15.00 bucks or so for a beer and rum and coke, left the place and spent our money at the D, and a couple other places on Fremont st. Weren't treated like a number , more like a paying customer, and had a ball.
Golden Nugget is well placed just at the beginning of the Fremont street and in front of the SDX/DEUCE bus line, which is quite convenient to visit the Las Vegas boulevard.
So I'll start with the good parts. The room was much nicer than we expected with complimentary earplugs and you can use ropes period and the registration staff was a very nice and informative. Now for the reason I didn't give it 5 starsperiod when booking the reservation and calling in to check on it though woman who answers the phone is rude and does not listen to what you were saying. When we got to our room there was no remote for the television and then the girl who brought it up paused for a tip for something that should have already been in my room. Then the next morning my husband waits in line for 15 minutes at Starbucks when their computers go down and he has to go to the other location
Me & My Wifey Been N There A lot of times , we ate at there buffet on first anniversary , yesterday evening was our very first time having a room n there & it was very GORGEOUSLY WONDERFUL, WE LOVE OUR STAY THERE NEXT TIME WE WILL HAVE A LOT MORE TIME TO CHILL THERE, WE LOVE IT FOR DA FIRST TIME STAY IT WAS REAL NICE WE WILL DO IT AGAIN REAL SOON
Great place, pool, bars, shops, aquarium and many many more....... I'm hoping our room was not the same as the others, the bathroom sink (drainage) needed to be cleaned badly. Despite cleaner came back :/ Hasn't put me off, had spent 1 night there and enjoyed every minute of it
We were staying at the Rio and decided to cross the street to have lunch based on a recommendation for Ping Pang Pong. The meal was great and the serving size super large. Staff was super friendly too. Overall the hotel smelled less smokey than the Rio and send better kept.
Go to see the big Gold Nugget, but don't go for the casino experience. It's very smoky inside and dated looking. Casinos on the strip are modern and far better.
Usually have a good time here but this time July 3-5, 2019 was not that great. Service was slow everywhere. Claimjumper was horribly slow. Bell desk was slow waited 40 minutes before just taking our bags ourselves. We would of stayed and played more had we not had to take it our own bags. Slot machines were super stingy and the pool water was consistently dirty. The Starbucks near the room tower was Horrible! Employees were rude and drinks were nasty.
Nice pool and great location on Fremont. Stayed in two different rooms, the newer one was fine, fairly standard. The older one was an upgrade but looked its age.
Such a magical place. Glitter & sparkling lights, different characters all interesting and lots of entertainment. A huge shark and large fish tank INSIDE of the swimming pool!!!
You can't not like this place, it's crazy, fun, loud, it's what old Vegas is all about. I only went 4 stars because I remember enjoying Freemont during other visits because it had a nostalgic feel, but it's now grown to just like all the other casinos, and prices have really gone up for drinks and everything else. I enjoyed it much more 10 years ago and prior.
We stayed here for 4 days and had a great time. Only complaint was no fridge and/or microwave. I know you want us buying your alcohol and food(and gamble at your casino). Most hotels have these amenities so that we'll spend more on other things, such as dropping another $100 on slots.
I am disappointed with this hotel. I am currently staying in the Carson Tower. The rooms are huge, but very outdated. The TV looks like it has been here since the 90's and the rest of the furniture since the 80's. There is also some kind of stale smell in our room. I wish I had gone somewhere else. At least I got a nice view.
First time visiting Las Vegas and I really liked this location except for they charge extra for a microwave and fridge just fyi but overall the rooms are nice and the staff is great.
Customer service is fair. If you want to feel like you matter, don't stay here. They provide ear plugs which is much needed because you hear everything from street noise, car alarms, and every neighbor around your room. Rooms are comparable to a Super 8. Shower struggles to drain and had a leaky shower faucet. The wi-fi is non existent as it cuts in and out throughout day and some days it won't even connect. Glad my work paid for this stay because I would never have stayed here if it was my decision.
I know this casino is called the golden nugget but I was surprised to see the largest nugget in the world there. I m not sure how big the nugget was but it is huge and quite impressive (and well guarded ha ha).
