Consumer General Review of Golden Nugget Las Vegas
Having been a regular visitor to the Golden Nugget...
Having been a regular visitor to the Golden Nugget since 2000 it's been truly satisfying to see this establishment make strong efforts in keeping itself modern, fun, and clean. The casino and pool areas are among the nicest features within the building and all of the bars are located in areas in which one truly feels the excitement and energy of downtown Las Vegas.
The price of rooms, drinks, and food are quite reasonable when compared to other hotels and one can easily spend an entire day if not their entire stay just at this one hotel. It's placement on the old strip makes it easy to venture out and explore all that Fremont Street has to offer.
Having not stayed in the new tower the few critiques of the Nugget would be that the rooms and the interconnecting hallways, although still quite nice, do feel a bit dated and somewhat dark or dim when it comes to lighting (natural or artificial). Also entering the pool at peak hours can be a bit off putting due to the large amount of children and adults coming and going while likely not showering between bathroom visits. This is definitely not a pool for swimming and be sure to get there early to get your spot on a recliner. Adult pool goers should definitely check out the upper level pool as it has an awesome atmosphere, great music, and far fewer mystery particles in the water.
Lastly for you meat and potato types -- do yourselves a favor and grab a Moco Loco from the Golden Nugget Grille. You will not be disappointed in this deliciously savory dish.
