Sprung for the spa suite and was very disappointed. No whirlpool tub, just a normal tub. The wet bar is a sink and a coffee maker, any room, in any hotel, in any town has a better wet bar. The sectional is as comfortable as s stone slab. Just an overpriced Vegas experience. Dont wate your money.

The dealers are much nicer here than other casinos. They'll explain the table games and let you know how to play. Also, the table minimums are a lot less than those on the Strip. If you are a beginner, go here.
Smell like cigarette smoke , poor filtration and A/C systems . Good sea food buffet if you're interested.

Was not impress with costumer service. Not the worst, but was not at the level i would expect (i do not expect much)Did not have reservation but had looked at price of room online (minutes away from hotel) and they wanted to charge me double at the front counter. I made gentleman aware of the price difference and he refused to give me online price (claimed they did not have those rooms available) and did not care to lose my business. I then walked out door and made reservation online for the lower price then walked back in to check in.
We were so disappointed! We stay at the Golden Nugget a couple times a year for special occasions this time we stayed for my husbands 58th birthday. They put us on a floor that is under construction so there was noise of scraping, breathing bad fumes and the room was dirty.Never talked to anybody about the matter because when we checked in the front desk manger was very rude to my husband and the lady at the front desk that did the final checking her behavior was very nice either. We have been staying there for 3 years never have we been treated this poorly.

Very clean place, gorgeous rooms, and the location is perfect. Check in took a little longer than I thought, but allin all, the staff and hospitality more than made up for it.

Super Crowded and Crazy! This is in Old Vegas and on this night like on many other nights you are in for a show. This is more of a hang out type of hotel/casino and way different than the main strip. It's a must see for sure just not romantic, family oriented or quite!.
Great atmosphere! Didn't have much interaction with staff while there. My own choice. Not to reflect on them. The rooms where clean and orderly. My reason for taking the was you had two choice when taking a shower. Nuclear hot or skin removing hot. This is NV. Its 115 out side. I think the water may be close to the same. Might wanna fix the cold water gents!
This place really was remodeled several years ago and is a gem. I have stayed at the hotel as an overnight guest but the casino is clean as is the pool area. We gambled on the pool deck, they had BJ and a pint size craps table on the pool deck area that was a blast. We also had great (and prompt) drink service while at the tables.
Perfect place to stay If you're trying to keep Vegas cheap and convenient, location is perfect.
A bit on the dirty side, but had a lot of fun playing the slots. Very clear on a Sunday night, great for a first experience!
Our visit was great. I'm not one to gamble but I did and now I'm hooked. Always walked away with something no matter what time of the day.

The pool was great too. Connetimg Mall was a big plus. I would recomend it as a must go to.
Part of the older part of Las Vegas, it was an interesting walk to see something other than the Strip. The games and tables at the Golden Nugget were definitely more outdated than some of the other newer casinos but the families staying there looked like they were enjoying themselves in the pool that also had a slide!
I always stay at this great Seafood hotel for their great service and cheap rooms. Most of the staff are great, except at Starbucks. I come here once a month to sell guns and it is centrally located.

Much Cheaper than las Vegas blvd, and quality almost same, less than 10 mins drive to Las Vegas blvd.

I'd go back. I had a beautiful room, there were tons of really good food options, many cool bars, inexpensive gambling options and terrific service. I was there for a business trip. Cheers!
An older property in the older part of Vegas, the so-called "Glitter Gulch". This isn't the Strip, rather the part of Vegas that's actually part of Las Vegas city. The Strip is in unincorporated Clark County which is why GPS will show that part of town as Paradise, NV, rather than LV on occasion. The Golden Nugget underwent extensive renovations in the past several years. It's one of the better casino properties in this part of town. There's been many such renovations in downtown Vegas, where a lot of gentrification has occurred lately.
We really enjoyed our stay here. There was some confusion with our booking but the staff immediately and professionally fixed the problem and we were very happy with the outcome. The hotel is in a great location on Fremont Street. BEWARE of the people offering you free tickets. They DO NOT work for the hotel, they represent time share companies. You ll end up wasting a whole day going to one of their time share presentations, despite them promising that it will only be a couple of hours.
Got upgraded to an 800 square foot apartment for only 60$ more per night. Room needed a bit more attention to detail in the cleaning area but the value was fantastic. The pool with the shark tank/waterside is great daytime chill out spot
We had a really great stay here. The room was comfortable and very nice. The pool was the coolest part. They have a huge shark aquarium right by the pool and a glass waterslide that goes through it. The location is great too, you can walk right out the front door to the Fremont Street Experience.
Awesome place to stay. Suite was huge. Many restaurants. Walk out back door to Fremont Street. SDX bus stops right across street for your strip experience.
We love the gold nugget! When we have time to plan a trip ahead of time we always stay there because we love gambling down on Fremont Street and the Golden Nugget is by far the nicest Casino! Love the pool with a waterslide through a shark tank !! The rooms are beautiful and it's in such a convenient location too!
Got my wallet stolen after being there for ten minutes. Security and management couldn't care less and did nothing to help us.
Brilliant casino to visit with a great atmosphere and the hotel looks good too. The place is a bit smaller than the strip casinos which I preferred. The central bar in the casino plays good music and still has tables in it so you don't lose gambling time! Loved this part of Vegas.

We had a very nice experience at The Golden Nugget. The room was well kept and comfortable. The swimming pool is very unique with a large shark tank in the center! There is dining, shopping and a casino. It s located on Fremont street so there is always something fun going on just outside the doors of the resort. Check in was easy and parking is free for those staying at the resort. We will definitely be back!

Casino was nice; BJ Thomas was phenomenal, but the venue was lousy. Seats were uncomfortable & the two female workers were more interested in gossiping with each other than assisting patrons. What really was upsetting was both of them walking back & forth in front of my seat during the show for no apparent reason other than to get to the other side!
I make it a point to stop inwhen I'm in Vegas; food is always perfect and service is impeccable.

The staff was super friendly, and I enjoyed staying at this hotel once before. However, this time there is a foul and mysterious odor eminating from the bathroom area they can't seem to fix. The room smells nauseating and I want to leave.
Had a great time watching Elvis impression and playing low stakes craps. Service was quick and casino was clean. Really goes well with the Fremont experience.

Beautiful hotel. Great restaurants. The Chart House restaurant is absolutely wonderful - our Server was really a great guy. Scoring hotel overall a 4 instead of a 5 because of a rather snooty Front Desk agent and Concierge.
Another classic I hope stays as is forever. Great to see these still exist and are as popular as ever with all ages. Great location and clean atmosphere make for a great time. Dealers were friendly and fun at the craps table.
My wife's first trip to Vegas, we stayed on the Strip and Downtown, the Golden Nugget was her favorite.
Nice sized spa suite, some items were not working properly. Drapes, lower bathroom faucet, and 2st day I went to take a bathe and found a disposable eyelash strip on the tub. Walls in room were filthy and there were cracks in the foundation. Not worth 600 per night. Ps. If you want a game turned on in the sports book make sure you tip or you get nothing but the homeless sleeping in loungers and bogus games no one cares about.
I always have fun here and the pool here is great love the sharks in the tank such the great views
Great gaming, nice rooms, staff is excellent, several restaurants, some are 24 hours as are some of the deli's and small stores. The Buffett has great food! The pool is awesome, waterslide is one of a kind going through the fish/ shark tank is outstanding.

You cant pass it up.atleast go check out the Biggest Gold Nugget ever found ..its so Amazingly Beautuful...you wont believe your eyes!! Dont forget the out door swimming pool where the slide goes under water and right through the shark tank ,,, it's really cool !!

First room was NOT clean, used razor in the bathroom and used clothing.. and in second room we could not have lighting turned on in bathroom and toilet room. Got discound due to unclean room.. good food, drinks, casino and casino.
Such a great place. Downtown is WAY better than uptown. Fremont street is the BEST. casino was so crowded as 2as Fremont and masks were hardly seen on Fremont. Action galore and I think the Nugget discriminates as EVERY dealer is female and ALL are super attractive. No complaints!!!

I stay here frequently when I'm in Vegas for business. It's a nice hotel in old Vegas. Located right on Fremont street, this hotel is clean, has decent food options, and comfortable rooms. I wish everything didn't smell like cigarettes, but that's pretty much the whole town. There are two Starbucks in the hotel and both usually have the most ridiculous lines. The fitness center has horrible hours, they are extended during certain events but rarely open on time which is frustrating.
When there on Friday got food at Wanna Tacos good a band was playing go back on a Saturday free Nelly show go get food sit on patio two hours before show told me that I have to go or pay 75.00 I said okay but they don't take bank card or cash the hole time a lady talking smack man free ain't free and everyone money is no longer the same
Rooms are very nice with cozy comforters, clean sheets. Hotel service excellent, and restaurants top notch. Crowded and during spring break shark tank drained and slide looked like it was blown up. Could GN picked an earlier date for repairs.
The entire family loved it and will definitely return!

The Nugget did not disappoint. It was clean and well lit. The staff was friendly. Drinks were well made and price was good. The exhibit of the gold nugget was clean and set up beautifully with informative plaques inside.
I feel like there are better options of hotels in Vegas, for better prices. However, this is the only place I've stay on Fremont street so I cannot compare it to anything else close by.

For what they advised, I wasn't impressed. The rooms were nice, but nothing special. Drinks are really expensive if you're not playing.& My least favorite thing is the fact that they charge $30 per night for a" resort and spa fee" . It's just a sneaky way of getting an extra $90 for a 3 night stay. Not impressed.
Casino is great, the Fremont Street crowd is much more interesting that at the strip.
This is the best place to stay in downtown! We got a great, spacious room, with a great view of the mountains + a place to put on make up outside of the bathroom. There are 2 Starbucks and multiple fantastic restaurants to choose from. A pool with waterfalls and a huge shark tank + a hot tub, adult pool and water slide thru the shark tank. The best part is that the hot tub stays open til 1am, so u can soak your feet after walking around all day.
Quick Check In, upgraded for free to the Rush Tower. Clean, Nice spacious room. No complaints

Hotel and casino aren't that bad. A little dated but that's to be expected on Fremont. The low review comes from the bed being filthy. The room was cleaned and the bed turned down but under the first cover was what I can only assume was dirt and crumbs. They did move us to another room after half an hour of waiting. Won't be staying here again.
Rooms were clean and housekeeper were prompt when I needed something. Asked for late checkout which was at noon. Bars were fun and service was helpful. Buffet was good for price. Wish pool was open later though. Easy access to downtown and Fremont St. is fun for people watching. Walk past Neonopolis to the Container Park. Great use of recycled material for clean, fresh shopping.
