Ginther Group at Keller Williams Realty Review

Our second go round with the Ginther Group was fantastic. They made the selling and buying process so easy. Blake and Alexandra were amazing to work with and I would highly recommend anyone looking to buy and/or sell to give them a call.

My husband and I worked with Ty Keating to sell our first home during COVID. Ty walked us through step by step and was always there to answer any questions. Quick to respond to texts which is huge for us. We accepted an offer over asking the weekend the house went live! We were out of town having already moved on closing day. Unfortunately we never heard from Ty after the sale of the home, I figured we may get a congrats or something (we did get an email from his team) other than that- 100% recommend!

We contemplated selling our home several times due to travel demands from careers. On two prior occasions, we decided not to go through with it because the real estate agents didn't seem to work for us. It was as if they were prepared to list the home and sit back and wait for it to sell itself.

I stumbled upon the Ginther Group online and noticed the great reviews, and I assumed many of them were fake. However, as I read through them, they seemed legitimate.

From the day I made the first contact to the date of closing (~2 months), Ty took control and advised me on what to do to make the best of our situation. He provided improvement ideas that would move the home faster and to maximize the sale price. Ty also came to the rescue and set up a trusted handyman to do some of the repairs I couldn't complete. This was all done at a very fair price and fast. To top it off, he came over on crutches to review the work himself days after breaking his foot (and it was on a Sunday). Ty was wholly committed to our process, and I've never seen anything like it.

It's insanely hard to get good customer service anywhere these days but whatever your real estate experience has been in the past, give Ty at Ginther group a call. You don't have to trust the reviews; it will be apparent from the start that he seems consumed with making your home selling journey as painless as possible.

Ty, if you read this, I want you to know that during the time you were helping us, our travel demands had peaked, and if it wasn't for you taking care of things we couldn't, we'd still be paying the bills on a house we no longer needed. So, thank you!

Our experience with the Ginther Group warrants a very negative review. If this review helps even one person out there looking to sell their house find a better agency than the Ginther Group, it will be worth it.
Here is a shortened version of our home-selling nightmare.
--The Ginther Group cares more about getting the sale then the people they are supposed to be selling for.
They give misleading information about how long a sale will take rather then being honest about your specific home. Their averages look great but may not actually for you. Ask them point blank!
They have a cancellation fee ($750) if you decide you no longer wish to sell with them because you are displeased. It is in the contract! It must happen a lot for them to put it in there. I checked with four other real-estate companies, none of them had a fee like that and said they would rather just let an unhappy client go and keep a good name, but not these guys.
They spend very little time helping you, their client! Our agent left on vacation 3 different times in the 5 months it took him to sell our house, once for two weeks.
When asked if rather then cut the price again, what else he could be doing to help market and publicize our house, the agent became quite angry and defensive but wouldn t tell us what he was or was not doing to keep the house current.
After asking multiple times, and via multiple platforms, for our agent to keep us more updated (with feedback from showing and market movement) we still had to call him for every little detail and send reminder texts about things he said he was going to do.

--The Ginther Group does not value their client s home security.
They lost our house key and didn t even really care! The lock box for the house key they say is safe and tracks who opens the box for showings, was actually broken, was not ever tracking, and they only had a guess who had walked off with our key, leaving the house unlocked. When we expressed how displeased we were they shrugged it off and said they recommended to people to re-key a house after they buy it anyway, so it didn t really matter. They couldn t seem to understand why it mattered to us as the owners of the home.

--The Ginther Group recommends shoddy workers. Both the painter and the general contractor that the Ginther Group highly recommended we use had subpar work: paint splatters all over the hard wood floors and granite, hand prints in the paint, and a door painted shut! The contractor didn t properly fix the items he was hired to fix (for example, rather than fixing some soft rot around a door frame they covered it with caulk. And after we had moved out, and the house was under contract, the contractor and his crew left the door to the house open all night. We happened to come by the house in the morning to check on things (since there had been such a pattern of problems) and found the front door wide open, heat on, just wasting energy and money!
The Ginther Group has poor inter-agency communication making it harder for you to sell your house. They have a different person over every little aspect! Your agent doesn t know what the MLS listing says, someone else does that. Your agent doesn t run the paper work, someone else does that. There is a co-agent in case your agent is unavailable, but they don t actually talk so she knew nothing about what was happening most of the time.
There is more that went wrong. But I am running out of space allowed. Even going to the head broker didn't help. Let our bad experience help you out, and go with a different agency!

We moved to WS about 8 months ago. Prior to our move, we called Ginther Group and spoke with Dustin. We told Dustin we had no clue where we wanted to live and asked if he knew of any rentals we should look at. He pointed us in the direction of our apartment and we promised to follow up with him in the coming months to help us set up an MSL.

Dustin was great. He was kind and patient he answered all our neighborhood questions and graciously set up an MSL for us. When it was time for us to begin our home search he connected us with Candler.

Candler has been a dream. She is AMAZING! We could not have asked for a better advocate during the buying process. I worked with Blake and Ty to sell my home, and don't know I could recommend them for others. Their marketing was good. The house got lots of views and attention, and did get offers in spite of bad weather.

That said, communication was a major issue. Ty talked about a good realtor guiding their clients. I take that to mean, suggest good ways to proceed with supporting rationale. If a client wants to do something that could be a problem, tell them so, and why. Instead, I was given suggestions like they were commands. Suggestions would be a sentence or two, with no real explanation unless I said "no" and then he would get defensive. I was yelled at and insulted multiple times. I was ready to accept an offer and he wanted more time to wait on other offers. Easy enough... he suddenly became unavailable by phone, text, and email until he got the time he wanted.

Worked with Blake on due diligence negotiations. Buyers came back and wanted something new. Ok, I asked why? It took asking another 4-5 times to get a meaningful answer that was longer than a sentence. The hardest part of the negotiations was simply dealing with my own agents. I was told, "If I was selling my house, I would do x". That's nice, but I really wish they would have approached it as them helping me sell my house than them selling theirs, because as the seller... my wishes, goals, and issues matter... and instead they were ignored.

They could be found via text very quickly and easily at most anytime. Email a little less so, but still prompt. By phone took advanced notice and scheduling. Really would have preferred if they would have been more open to phone conversations for the more involved or complex issues, and relied much less on text.

Very Knowlegeble staff who stride to answer all question and work in a timely manner to make things easy during your home buying process . Ginther Group is in a class by itself. Jackson and Amanda are true professionals.

When we were looking for a buying agent, we were referred to Teresa by a friend who'd recently bought a house through her. Teresa spent a lot of time before our search asking questions to really understand what our priorities were, and once we looked at a few properties, asked more questions to refine her understanding. She quickly understood our tastes (which we had a hard time articulating ourselves) and kept in frequent contact through our search, even when new listings were scant. We began our search during a time of year when there's not a lot of new inventory, and since we didn't have a hard date by which we needed to secure a house, we were pretty picky with the properties we saw. Teresa was supremely patient through the process, and ultimately set up a showing at a house that I'd seen on Zillow but wasn't terribly anxious to tour in person for various reasons. Turns out she was right--the pictures didn't do it justice. We immediately fell in love with it when we saw it in person, and we're now the proud owners of a beauty that exceeded our expectations of what we could find within our budget. The negotiations, due diligence, and closing were as smooth and stress-free as possible, thanks to Teresa and Lili, the transaction coordinator at the Ginther Group office. We hope we won't be on the market again for quite a while, but I wouldn't hesitate to call Teresa and the Ginther Group again, and we'll also happily refer them to friends in the market for a new home.

These people are awful, if you want to sign yourself up for pointless phone calls where they try to sell you stuff based on things you clicked after their website forces you to provide contact info just to even use it, which then resets and tricks you into clicking things you didn't want to click on, by all means go ahead. They are the business equivalent to a free trial to AOL. They have a lot of upgrading to do before I'll ever consider them a legit business.

How about you guys stop focusing on sales and start focusing on customer service? For real.

THIRD RESPONSE: I believe you reported my last response, that you report was deleted, due to negativity, but you should have a scheduling app in place of cold calling people just seeking more information, in response to your response, I hold firm. You guys are outdated and will soon be replaced by a company actually selling to obtain customers, not victims to your scheme of selling things without actual knowledge, who respond to what people are really looking for.

Also, you would probably benefit from not calling people while they are at work through use of a scheduling app if you do seek phone calls. This was meant as constructive criticism ...and a warning to future customers that you're still stuck in 1992 as a business model.

Working with Teressa, Jessica, Kimberly and Corrine has been an awesome experience. Each and everyone has been absolutely amazing throughout the selling of our first home. If you re looking for hard working, efficient, dedicated, determined and all around genuinely nice people.... then look no further than the Ginther group and it s awesome team. I personally have been working with Anthony Thomas for a few months in trying to find me a home in the forsyth location. Everything was very smoothly at first, great communication and overall working in finding me a property that fits me. However, after recommending them to a family member and a fellow coworkers. They have started a houdini act. I have tried contacting Anthony to see more houses that I m interested in, or even another worker for this specific company. Which again is another act, I would have never wasted my time or recommend this group to anyone if prior knowledge. Stay away all together.

Teresa and Neely both have done a great job. Not only have they sold our old home in three days we have signed a contract on a new one week later. The whole team at Ginter group have made this experience a smooth transition. I highly recommend this team to anyone.

We were in need of a Buyer s agent, found The Ginther group via Instagram and decided to give Teresa Blackburn a call. From the moment she answered the phone on the second ring, we could sense that she would be a good fit for us. We were looking for a well-seasoned realtor that would keep our best interests in mind, from the initial viewing of houses to the day of closing. We started working with Teresa shortly after having a poor experience with another agent. Teresa is the model agent enthusiastic but not pushy diligent and personable.
