Amazing for walks just 20 mins away from centre London
We visited Folders Green Park next to Hampstead Heath. Nice park with tiny Animal enclosures.
From the views to the space, no other park in London will make you feel as lost in the countryside as Hampstead Heath. An incredible place to bring, friends, family, kids and grandparents. Cannot praise highly enough.
Large expanse of greenery, woodland and paths. Always love a wander and find new areas each time.
Love this place, I've had some great walks there. However parking is getting expensive there to go and walk your dog, especially when you don't live in Hampstead. 5 years ago it was cheaper in their car park. However if you go to the Royal Free Hospital, it's cheaper to park by Hampstead Heath, than in the hospital's car park!
It was an amazing sight, did get kinda lost but there were alot of maps around
Lovely 4 HR walk , fabulous place...had intended 2hr walk not 4... maybe a bit of signage would be helpful
Not sure how you review a Heath, it's going to be muddy if it's Autumn of winter and probably spring, certainly early spring.
Kenwood House has great art if you are interested in galleries and free.
This is everything. If you are from the countryside and feel homesick, Hampstead Heath will comfort your soul. Well did to me
Great big open space, flats and hills. Always a few people about either hiking around or walking dogs. Few large open green areas for kicking a ball around or lite flying. Playground for kids I'd say up to 5/6 which also has a free paddling pool which is great in the summer. Toilets in the playground for both male and female too. Few workout areas along one side of the heath and close to plenty of public transport points. Every year has a fair which pops up with the usual rides etc.
Beautiful. feels more like a little slice of real countryside than just a Heath. One of the best features of London in my opinion! Definitely worth a visit especially on a sunny day.
Great area to sit in the sun or shade and spend a day relaxing
Lovely walking and nature parkland that Londoners or visitors can enjoy.
Very pleasant park to, huge and nice view from the city.
Of all the park areas in London Hampstead Heath probably is the best at making you feel you're not in the city. From areas you can't really see or hear London which is pretty special. Great for running and exercise, or just going out to enjoy something green.
Lovely nature park in North London. A great cafe at the north end of the park and great swimming ponds.
Had an opportunity to go for a nice walk with a friend, who moved there, and it is a very beautiful park.
Love it here, but I still get lost after years of coming!
It was a beautiful park, house and grounds, however, I visited at round 11am on Sunday and it was so busy at every turn, I could here multiple conversations. Less busy would be far more pleasurable.
A quaint town away from the hustle and bustle of London, but still somehow uniquely London
Very good place you can swim of gust do a little walking session very fun and nice place to go.
Hampstead is always wonderful to explore with lots of hidden delights but I do particularly love it on the few mornings there is mist or snow.
The mega-chill. Very easy to get lost, unless you know the EXACT place you're sitting don't risk meeting in the woods... Go to a landmark.
One of London's loveliest walks. Great any time of year. Just remember if you're travelling from abroad, big parks (and this one is BIG) in London can be muddy unless there have been 3 or 4 dry sunny days beforehand. I'd take a picnic as there's no food stands on the Heath. Go to Hampstead tube on the northern line and walk towards the park through historic suburbs full of blue plaques and history. Sadly, very sadly, the Heath itself is not easily accessible for wheelchair users or people who can't walk far. Go to Kenwood House while you're here for World class art and a nice lunch, cup of tea or even an ice cream. I'd allow at least 3 hours to visit the Heath - and if you've got kids or fancy a good trek, you could easily spend a day here. Seek out Parliament Hill for a great view of Central London. Lovely. (but AVOID if it's raining).
If you want to feel like your not in London I can recommend going to the heath! It's such a great place to unwind.
Nice one a sunny day car park machine is annoying make sure you got coins as the wi fi machine was not!!!
Beautiful park, with amazing views overlooking London.
A lovely green space in the North of London. It's like a Richmond Park without the deer. Sprawling hills that are great to lie on with a picnic and the park is home to Kenwood Manor which is delightful to visit for a cup of tea as well. There are lots of trails through the woods and the park offers a few lidos for those that fancy a swim.
One of the single nicest places in the whole of London. My favourite picnic location. Swimming in the ponds is amazing. Can't recommend it enough!!
Escape from the city whilst still being in the city! Pretend you re in the countryside and go for a wander across the fields and though the woods.
Hampstead Heath has paths that can lead to a tree covered quiet wilderness, open fields of long grass and beautiful deep ponds. There are people walking dogs, playing with children also deep in conversation or walking alone enjoying the space. Kenwood House has many fascinating paintings and a very pleasant cafe and courtyard. A precious place in busy London.
A busy sunny day on the heath far enough away from the hustle and bustle but still near civilisation
All the amenities and urbane London atmosphere for an inquisitive visitor
One of the best green parks in North London, plenty of space to exercise, relax
The perfect escape from the city half an hour away!
From the top of the hills there's a unique view of London's skyline, best place to take pictures.
Great parkland, decent playpark for wee ones. You may pass the occasional famous actor.
Beautiful park; great for walks and jogging, and why not for picnic or sightseeing (Parliament hill)
Amazing park , amazing view, lots of pet friendly places around , you can spend all day there walking
V good day out with a picnic and a nice stroal or jogging.
Totally unexpected sight. Had a great relaxed walk with excelent view on most parts of London.
Many fond childhood memories here with my parents and now taking my own family to enjoy the many trails!
Great walk, picnic potential and views. Not enough directions given throughout parc.
A green oasis just a short ride out of central London
The park is the most beautiful and very much maintain in area... lovely
My favourite park! Gorgeous! There is a few places, like Kenwood House and Pergola, which everyone has to visit!
One of the best parks in London. It's big, more natural/wild than other parks, and had excellent views over the city of London.
Freedom from traffic, noise pollution and perfect for picnics and doggie walking, ponds for swimming
Brilliant views. Relaxing and had a lovely picnic. Quite a few dogs though but I understand that it is a perfect place to walk your dog and they were all well behaved.
When it is quiet, you can FULLY understand it's charms.
Really enjoyed our time walking around Hampstead Village and the park. Just lovely on a sunny warm day... quaint shops, great historic pubs, open space, lots to see and do on the weekend.
Beautiful all year round. A jewel of the best city in the world!
Big beautiful park with a nice scenic viewpoint in the middle. Great big ponds to walk around too
